Appearance: Darius is about 5'9", a bit tall for his age. His eyes are a bright emerald color that seems to dull to a silver-ish color in the right light. He has jet-black hair, cut as a buzz-cut and grown out a few inches and spiked up.
His normal attire includes the following; a dark blue pair of sweat pants, a white pair of running sneakers, a plain black t-shirt, and a light grey vest. His body is physically fit, not muscular but firm. He is usually a bit dirty, known to have a few small tears in his sweats or his vest. He also carries around a small white backpack that contains a few books and a water bottle.
Personality: Darius has a very closed personality. He is very self-dependent, and prefers to spend time by himself. To keep himself occupied, he carries around books that he reads. He doesn't have anything against other people, but he's not easy to become friends with. But he is a very good friend to have, despite the trouble in getting to know him. But he may come off as arrogant to others at times, but this is just a way he shows his insecurities unknowingly.
He does not like small places, having a deep and strong claustrophobia. To counter this, he can concentrate very easily and stay focused on a task for however long it takes him to fulfill what he's doing. He also matured emotionally at a very young age, able to engage in intellectual and moral conversations with others as early as 7 years old.
History: Darius was born in Olivine City originally. His mother and father both had small jobs there, but still had financial troubles. Between the ages of 1 and 5, Darius moved from Olivine to Blackthorn, from Blackthorn all the way to Celadon City, then from Celadon all the way back to Ecruteak City, where he originally made friends with plenty of others, including Morty, despite the age difference. They stayed in Ecruteak City from then on, even through the death of his father. Darius, forced to grow up and gain responsibilities, lost connection with his childhood at that point and closed himself off from others.
Darius secluded himself in books, taking less of an interest in Pokemon than most kids his age. Even his old friends saw how much all the changes in his life had accumulated to affect him. Really, Darius just needed time to adjust. He felt that by closing himself from others, he could focus on accepting what had happened. Eventually, after living alone with his mother, he convinced her that getting a pokemon and going off on his own for a while would be healthy. In all honesty, he wanted to explore. He wanted to see what was outside of the few places he had ever seen, and wanted to expand his horizons. Finally, realizing that time with pokemon could make Darius open up again, she allowed him to go to New Bark Town to get his first Pokemon.
How did you find us?: I'm on another Pokemon RP site called Erymire. Someone named Joey recently advertised on Erymire, and I found the link to this site. Hopefully, my skills from there are up to par here. ^^;
