Appearance:
Ivan is about five foot five, and weighs some were around 115 lbs. He can be usually be spotted wearing his red cap, that happens to have a old rusted out badge clipped on to it near the top left corner of the cap. He has blackish brown hair that can be seen coming out from under his hat. If you were to look at his face you would see he brown eyes, and something around his neck. A closer look at it one can see it is a mystic water (this is for clothing, not to be giving to one of his pokemon). Ivan is more often than not seen wearing a blue t-shirt with a bluish purple wrist band around his right wrist. He is also left handed. Looking now from the waist down he can been seen wearing blue jeans, and a pair of red and black sneakers. From his pocket you can see a white cord (headphones) popping out and being tied around the belt hook nearest it.
Personality:
Ivan is a very out going boy, who loves adventure. He love meeting new people, but is not one to start a conversation with them, unless they start one with him first. He does have a shy personality, but that can be over looked with his out going nature. Usually never one to show people his emotions, and can almost always be seen with a smile on his face, because he believes if he can put a smile on some one else’s face who is down, then that is one less thing to worry about. Usually doesn’t like to be in big groups (more than 3 or 4). When angry Ivan can become a completely different person, he become sarcastic as well as quit mean, if spoken too. More than not though he is usually quiet, and on his own when he is angry, so he can cool down, and not regret saying something he shouldn’t have. As well, he is not one to stay angry for very long, and usually cools down with in a couple of minutes. He is a very reliable person, and loves to see every one happy. Some major dislikes of his include miss treatment of pokemon and rudeness. Ivan is also an avid music fan, and can be seen wearing his headphones and listening to music on long trip or when he is trying to relax.
History:
Ivan was born in a city in an unknown redgeon and city. He was born into a family that helped maintaining the gym, were they also lived. This job went from anything weather it was to take care of the pokemon, to making sure there was fresh water in the gym for the pokemon to swim around in. Growing up he did help out his parents with the small tasks, such as feeding the pokemon and so forth. While working there he developed a close bond with one pokemon in particular. It was the gym leader's blastiose, named squirt. The two would mostly be seen playing with each other allot of the time.
One day though there bond was made much stronger than what most thought it could become. One night, Ivan had awoken to a sound. The gym was broken into by a band of thieves looking to shove off with a bundle of strong Pokémon, and whatever else they could find. Ivan worried about the Pokémon ran off to see if they were all right. On his way he was cornered by the thieves, and attacked by their Pokémon. He managed to dodge any dangerous/fatal blows from the Pokémon, but he did take a hit to his right eye and right wrist. When all hope seemed lost though he was saved from his closest friend. Squirt had come to his rescue fending off the thieves and their Pokémon. From that day Ivan and Squirt were inseparable. After a couple of time after the incident it was found out the injuries Ivan had taken would not fully heal (this is why he has a wrist band on, and why he styles his hear the ways he does)
After a month or so Ivan found out him and his family were moving to Barley. Ivan was reluctant to move as it would mean leaving Squirt, but the gym leader called the young trainer's nerves, by giving and telling him “ I want you to take this," she said while reaching into her pocket and putting a mystic water pendant around Ivan's neck. This did ease his troubles, so when the time came to part ways, it was done with smiles and heads held high. Thinking to him that he will start his own journey soon, and see his old friend again.
