Following Joey's recent escapade on the plains of Cherrygrove and the Houndour pack, he decided it was high time to pay visit to some of the old locations he had once trailed along. There was also the issue of trying to amass more Pokemon for the small scale militia he was planning to fight the Rockets but that was the least of his concerns right now. Instead, the lush green surroundings and lovely summer breeze was all he could focus on. "It is good to feel such lovely weather for once...!" Joey had found a nice spot of grass to lie his body down on and peer up at the sky. His trusty Meowth was napping beside him, every now and again opened an eye to look up to all the clouds Joey was pointing at. "This sure beats being lost in caves and fending off wild dogs..." He nestled his head further into the palm of his hands as they supported him and closed his eyes. Also out enjoying the beautiful weather was his Budew he had obtained by the name of Narcissa. Although Joey and her were not fully the best of friends, the two had a mutual respect for one another. Joey did not care at all for her overly narcissistic tendencies but he appreciated her battle prowess with status inflictions. Narcissa on the other hand rather begrudged trawling around with such a man who gave little concern to his looks but did find his command in battle rather titillating. What's more was if this dubious shady trainer was visiting locations as sunny and pleasant as this, the little Budew guess it couldn't quite complain. It stood on the spot and patiently sun bathed the warmth from the sun. The very sight of the group was so relaxing that you would be forgiven to believe they weren't much of a good fighting group together. This would change however. As Joey began to stir from napping in the warmth of the sun, he shifted up his bandanna and noticed something was approach ever closer to Narcissa. "NARCISSA! Move yer ass for Pete's sake!" The uptight Budew frowned deeply at Joey for being so uncouth in disturbing her but span around to see what had dared to approach its beautiful visage. OOC: Wooh... Happiness grinding here we go! Wonder what sort of wild little beasties are about today.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The weather was growing far from pleasant as the seconds ticked by. Mercury went soaring as a rather unusual heat wave rolled over Route 29, causing many of the local Pokémon to seek shelter where they could. Some were trying to brave the increasing temperatures in hopes of finding sustenance, such as the shadowy creature rustling through the weaving grasses not far from where Joey and his Pokémon had chosen to rest.
It panted heavily as the sun mercilessly beat down on it, causing it to sweat copiously under its furry coat. As it trudged in a rather dazed manner, not really sure what it was doing anymore, it scented a human nearby. Humans always seemed to carry an endless supply of food, treats, and water. The mere thought of water made the Pokémon's mouth water.
Spurred by the thought, it began bounding through the grass and torpedoed out of it, landing neatly right in front of where Narcissa stood staring contemptuously in its direction. The Budew uttered a shriek at the startling appearance of the wild Sentret and fell promptly onto her bottom. It wasn't long before she bounced back to her feet and began yelling at the ermine. 'You brain damaged rat, don't go scaring the crap out of other Pokémon! You interrupted my beauty time!' she spat venomously at the intruder.
It looked down at the red-faced Budew and pointed a stubby paw at Joey's lounging figure. 'Have water yes?' it asked slowly, fatigued by the heat and therefore not nearly as smart as usual. Narcissa looked affronted. 'Were you dropped on your head as an infant? We don't share with repulsive peasants like you!'
Sentret registered what Narcissa finished saying and glared threateningly at the small bud. Without warning it swiped violently in her direction, missing her retreating body by mere inches. Narcissa nearly exploded with rage; how dare the filthy beast try and touch her!? 'You, criminal man! Make this dumb beast go away!' the Budew roared as she turned towards her trainer. She really didn't feel like fighting again, not when the weather was being so kind...
A heat-addled Sentret (Level 7) appeared!

With the unidentified Pokemon came into full view, Joey let out a sigh of relief. Thankfully no gargantuan rock tunnel snakes, no hellish looking rabid dogs, nothing. It was merely a fidgety looking Sentret that seemed to be after something and the way Narcissa and the newly encountered Pokemon were exchanging chatter with one another, Joey began to question what it could possibly want. It was grand old summer! Food could be seen on the trees and it wasn't as if it was like winter and the Pokemon was dying from being frozen. He looked closer at it and realised he had missed something quite obviously. "Oh would'ya look at that. I bet this poor little thing's all dehydrated from having such a bushy fur coat. Looks like it could really do with some water..." He drifted off and turned his head to view the surroundings. There was no immediate body of water that Joey could take the wild Pokemon to.
He stood there, perplexed over the situation. "There's that nice bit of lake in New Bark but I ain't exactly looking forward to stepping my toes within the town boundaries. 'Specially after that Rocket incident and breaking into the lab. Why ain't it ever simple?" He looked down to his Budew and a rather silly idea popped into his head. "Say... Narcissa, you've got a move which might help us out, don't you?" Joey grinned at the idea and noticed his little Narcissa seemingly turning her nose at the idea. It was almost as if the little bud was telling him where to shove the idea. Joey frowned and tried explaining to her. "Look, you've probably absorbed a lot of water from standing around all day, like moistures and you sucked up a fair bit when we stopped at that river earlier. Why not share some? Would it really be that much of an inconvenience for you?"
Narcissa sighed ruefully. She was certainly not going to use the move they were both thinking of. She had her back to Joey for a short while but in doing so, cast her gaze on the panting Sentret. The thing was quite adorable and seeing it so parched did tug at the narcissistic Pokemon's heartstrings. Maybe if she doused the area the Pokemon would get lost and let her resume her sunbathing. Thinking it over none of the other options would have got rid of it as quickly and at least this method didn't require the vain little bud Pokemon to exert any effort into attacking. If it did, it would have drained from its beautifully perfect visage. Begrudgingly, the little Budew chirped at Joey in a very vain tone and then the two assumed into a wild battle. "Okay Narcissa, let's give this Pokemon some water! Water Sport!" Upon hearing its trainer's command, Narcissa began swaying on the spot and opening up its tiny little buds to douse the immediate area with a sprinkle of the water it had accumulated. Meowth who was cat napping jumped up in horror. It absolutely hated getting its pristine fur wet and clawed its way up the back of Joey for shelter. "Yeouch! It's only a little dampness you silly mog!"
OOC: Oh god, what am I doing. I am intending to battle/catch this but seeing as you put in the whole thirsty scenario about the Sentret I couldn't help but use Water Sport. D:

Though reluctantly, Narcissa used water Water Sport, and water had floated everywhere. The water rained on everything in the area, including the Sentret. Sentret was feeling calmer now, and the water that had soaked through its fur was particularly calming. It didn’t even feel like battling anymore, but now what had it gotten itself into? “Excuse me?” A voice suddenly sent chills through Narcissa’s body, and it was strangely reverberating. She looked up, but the bud couldn’t see anything. Sentret saw it though. A young girl, possibly no more than the age of eleven stood just visible from where she seemed to have come from behind a bush. Her hair was short and orange, and she wore a forest green dress with a black ribbon adorning it, that spread from the mid-section of her body like wings. Her mary-janes made an eerie resounding click on the ground as she moved to stand in front of Sentret. The thing that scared the Budew the most perhaps, was the fact that this girl was glowing. It wasn’t like, cheap glitter or something…she was glowing on her own; a frosty white cloud seemed to move with her whenever she stepped. Sentret was astonished…was she possibly…no, it couldn’t be, but she looked the same. Though the girl soon proved it wrong as she issued a challenge to Joey. “I’m sorry, but I’m Ezgi, and this was my Sentret, and if you want it, you’re going to have to prove to me that you deserve it!” She said. Her voice was slightly sweet, like a child’s, but the sound of the dead reverberated behind it. She took the Pokeball that was stuck in her hair and tossed it up, revealing an adorable little Phanpy, who was also glowing a frosty white, like its trainer. Phanphy observed the area, and noticed the sweat on people that walked by, and shook her trunk. “Phan!” the little blue creature cried, issuing a challenge to Joey and Narcissa. Sentret watched as Ezgi moved slightly to stare at it, but only for a minute. It wou;d have gone with Joey, now that he had calmed it, but why had Ezgi decided to put up a fight? Joey helped it, and if it hadn’t been for him, it might have suffered as she had that year. ____________________________________________________________ InfoGhost Girl Ezgi has interrupted your battle with Wild Sentret (Level 7), and challenged you to a battle!

The refreshing water unleashed by Narcissa poured down upon Joey's face also. He let out a deeply relaxed sigh as he wiped some of the droplets from his face and realised just how much he needed the rejuvenating power of water. "See? Now don't that feel better." He grimaced, the claws of his Meowth behind him seemed to be in disagreement. "Yeesh, okay so maybe there's one who doesn't think so but he don't like water." Observing the Sentret, it seemed noticeably refreshed, Joey smiled warmly to it and laughed. "You're a funny little thing ain'tcha?" On his travels so far in Johto, he had come across a group of Sentret who were out scouting together but this one seemed unusual in comparison. He couldn't quite put his finger on it but it may have been something to do with the Pokemon's boldness. Very few wild Pokemon would have been so keen to approach and especially for a Sentret. Could it have been someone's Pokemon? As Joey pondered this mystery, nothing could prepare him for what would come next. In all of the legends and myths that existed throughout history, the land of Johto had always had some persisting links with that of spirituality and more specifically life after death. Possibly, the sudden appearance of this wraith like girl before him could be testament to Johto's relationship with the unknown. Upon taking in the sight of this young girl, Joey almost jumped out of his skin literally. In his time he had seen some strange stuff. One man taking down an entire bike gang by himself and a once jovial hiker turning out to be a creepy cultist but this about took the biscuit tin. Prior to seeing this ghostly apparition, Joey had no reason to believe in the existence of humans as ghosts. This chance encounter would soon change that. The Meowth clinging from his back was just as shocked too; it dug its claws in a bit tighter and the Meowth and trainer alike just stood on the spot, shaking erratically at the sight. "W-W-W-W-WHAT?!" That was about all Joe could muster. This had him completely dumb struck. His mouth tried forming the words to express his absolute shock at the girl before him but he was left speechless. Of course there were ghost type Pokemon in existence but for a human ghost to appear, it boggled everything he had thought. What unnerved him even further was the fact the girl had appeared during broad daylight on a bright summer's day. As the girl introduced herself matter of factly, Joey's initial shock began to waver. "Err... H-Hey there!" He had never conversed with a dead person before so was a bit nervous about this all. "Pleasure to m-meet you E-Ezgi. Name's Joey." As she explained, Joey realised why the Sentret had seemed so different. "So it WAS belonging to someone... Well that explains..." He cut himself off abruptly. It was an explanation but it was so outlandish he couldn't quite wrap his head around it. Deciding not to press the situation any farther, he nervously looked at the Pokemon she had sent forward. "So you're challenging me eh?" He scratched the back of his head and seemed to be thinking to himself cautiously. "Never battled a dead person before. This should be fun!" As he looked to Narcissa to order a move he was taken aback by the sudden emergence of one of his other Pokemon to the fray. As the red light gave way to the appearance of the Pokemon, Joey was surprised to see his Houndour before him. "Oh Hades...?" He looked at the dog and noticed she seemed more than disturbed by the ghostly phantom before them. It barked ominously at the ghost and Joey tried to calm her down. "Sorry 'bout her. She seems kinda scared." He patted her head and tried to comfort her. "Hades, don't worry hun. I know she isn't like me as in physically there but... She's a human all the same." "Alright, I accept your challenge. I'll take on your Phanpy and prove to you that I am suitable to look after your Pokemon. I've forged some tight bonds with my Pokemon. Hopefully you'll see with your very own eyes what me and my Pokemon are capable of!" He pointed to the ghostly Phanpy and ordered his move for Hades. "Hades! Let's try your Bite attack!" Hades barked and lowered its head, fangs bared ready to strike. OOC: This is actually a really cool plot idea you came up with. ;D And when you consider Johto seems to have quite a few links with spirituality such as Ecruteak makes it all the more plausible.

Ezgi watched as Hades emerged from her Pokeball, barking rapidly. It didn’t surprise her. Canine Pokémon always responded that was when she appeared in front of someone. Though it surprised her when he sent her into battle. Hades gave another defensive snarl and Fana cowered. It also didn’t take Hades too long to spring into action. The hell hound made her way to Fana, but Fana surprised her by appearing behind her. However, it was slower moving the second time, and Hades bit down into its leg, which was for some reason something she could touch. Suddenly a flash of light gave both Joey and Hades a vision. It was the same girl they were facing, on a day just like the one they were facing now. A heat wave, and Ezgi, Fana, and two other Pokemon. The one on her shoulder was a Pachirisu, and it lazily groomed its paws. Though the most surprising of all, the Sentret that Joey had run into was scuttling alongside Ezgi as well. She wasn’t a ghost, which is what told Hades this was a vision.
Ezgi stopped and looked back at her Sentret, giving it a friendly smile. “You know Mika, I don’t think you’re ever going to thin out.” She told the plump little sentry Pokemon. Mika pouted, and Fana nudged her in a joking way with her head.
“Sen!” Mika insisted, going back to her running. Ezgi rolled her eyes and laughed a bit. With this vision, Joey and Hades were overcome with a soothing sensation, which put Hades at ease. They were taken out of the Vision, and Ezgi didn’t say anything, but the look she was giving him told him she was aware of him having the vision. “Fana, go ahead and show them that special move I taught ya! Rock slide!” Fana nodded and turned to see a big boulder. It would have to do. She scrambled onto it and began to scrape at it, the falling pebbles turning larger and raining down on Hades, which, if she had to say anything, hurt like hell. Though the Pokemon and Trainer pair were once again sent straight into another vision, which was a little harder to bare. Ezgi was crying, locked up in a deep hole, holding her knee which had been badly scraped up.
“No one’s going to be able to hear you little girl!” Came a voice from above. A man in a rocket uniform was seen briefly, holding Mika in his clutches. “I’ve placed you in a remote area of this route, so good luck climbing out of that!” his laughter died away as he left, and Fana and Pachirisu tried to keep their distance from their trainer and each other, trying not to create more heat.
“I wasn’t watching where I was going…” Ezgi insisted. She tried to call for anyone, but no one was around to hear the cries. This vision presented both Hades and Joey with a painful searing feeling, like a mix of sadness and anger. It brought Hades to yelp softly as it died away. ___________________________________________________________ VS.Ezgi's Fana |Level 10| Health: 31% (13/41HP)Status: In a bit of a Pinch; Normal Attack: A successful Rock Slide. Pokemon battles were always fast paced. The speed at which their Pokemon could achieve was something that always impressed Joey when he stood back and watched. As Hades darted off, he was surprised at the phantasmal being appearing behind his own. "Dammit... I should've known you'd use every advantage you could get!" The quick shift was bit of a surprise but as Hades bit down and realised that there was something tangible to grip onto, it came as even more of a surprise. The contact between Hades and Fana seemed to trigger a flashback from Ezgi's perception. With Joe and his Pokemon as nothing more than an audience, they were forced to watch as the memory played itself. Taking in the flashback, Joey was happy to see how close she was with her Pokemon. It certainly bought across a sense of naivety and a positive outlook of being carefree. The problem was, as the memory faded, Joey couldn't quite see how she ended up separated from her Sentret.
The battle at hand quickly stole Joey's attention back into the real world and Ezgi's announcement of the next move had him a little worried. "R-Rock Slide? This girl packs a punch!" He stood back and watched as a flurry of rocks landed upon his Houndour. "For an ethereal being such as yourself... Your attacks sure do hit with a wallop!" With the rock slide finishing, Hades shook her head and looked to Joey. "I'm sorry hun, not long n-" Joey's team froze on the spot. Their eyes seemed to reflect what Ezgi had experienced. The fear and dread of being alone and stuck in a hole came over Joey and instigated a terrible feeling of claustrophobia, despite never having any such problem with confined spaces before. The prevailing sense of not being able to do anything nearly consumed all of Joey but a familiar sign bought him back into focus. If there was anything that could make him soldier on in contempt it was that devilish red R that summed up all that was wrong in this world. Joey gritted down on his teeth and leered his eyes.
The vision abruptly ended. For now most of his answers about what had happened to Ezgi and her Pokemon had been answered. As he began to contemplate her lonely death he couldn't help but feel the sadness and anger swell up in him. He was sad for such a poor innocent girl being killed in such a cruel hearted way but the intense anger he harboured for the Rockets was rising ever more to the surface. It was acts such as these that pushed Joey to pursue Team Rocket. They weren't humans. They were soulless bastards who deserved nothing short of a taste of their own medicine. Trying not to cry at the reason behind her death he looked to Ezgi and said nothing. His solemn expression summed up everything he could ever hope to say. Hades looked up to Joey sadly and could feel the emotions its trainer was experiencing. It turned back to Fana and turned its head on the side unsure at how it could even think of attacking it again. Joey sniffled and coldly mentioned the next move. "Hades, Bite! We need to lay Ezgi's concerns to rest so that she can rest in peace." He looked deep into Ezgi's ethereal eyes and was trying to convey his sorrow for her. "Team Rocket... I am going to tear you to shreds."

Ezgi stayed silent, just watching Joey for a few moments. Maybe this was the right person to share her visions of that day with. He had more sympathy than most people she had challenged, who had been trying to take her Sentret away. She wasn’t going to rest until Sentret, formally Mika, had someone safe to be with, never to be taken away by Team Rocket ever again. Her pretty grey eyes didn’t move from him, and she finally spoke again. “I won’t trust…I won’t trust Maki to anyone I don’t think is capable…” she glanced back at her living Sentret, who seemed to want nothing more than to run up to her and get a chance to be hugged by the girl again, like before. Fana’s eyes gleamed as she watched the two, before she turned to once again pay attention to the battle at hand. Hades had raced towards the Phanpy, and Fana took that as her cue to play. She weaved around Hades, behind, to her sides, and even in quick flashes in front, but the confused hound managed to bite into Fana’s leg. She threw her down, and that was it for the little elephant. This attack threw Joey and Hades into another vision. Ezgi clutched at the dirt and was now breathing heavily. Fana and Pachirisu watched helplessly as her life was being drained by the scorching heat. But Ezgi managed to sit up right.
“I’ll be fine you two…we’ll all be fine. Don’t worry…” But that didn’t prove true for long. As the time began to pass, Pachirisu collapsed. Ezgi carefully picked him up and shook him. She continued to try to rouse him, but nothing was working.
“Ren… come on, you have to wake up, we have to go home! Mom is probably worried, and she’s probably already made lunch…Ren?” The Pachirisu didn’t move, and Fana knew this stillness was too eerie to be sleep. She looked down as her trainer continued to try and wake the squirrel. She didn’t have the heart to signal he was gone.
“Ren? Come on Ren, this isn’t funny, wake up! Please!” Tears started to flow again as she held the limp Pokémon. The heat had proved to much for him, but Ezgi didn’t want to believe it. The entire pain and loss of losing a love one flooded Joey and Hades like a river. Hades barked, pulling her ears against her skull, and after a moment the pain subsided. While they were trapped watching the vision, Ezgi already had a Pokeball in her hand, and she looked up at Joey. “He was how I started my journey…my short journey…” She tossed the Pokeball and a Pachirisu with a frosty white glow similar to Fana’s appeared, its eyes bleak but filled with surprising promise. This was Ren, and he appeared to be Ezgi’s starter Pokemon. _____________________________________________________ InfoFana has been defeated! With Fana, Ezgi's faithful Pokemon now fainted, Joey looked up to see what would happen next. He wasn't all that certain considering the person he was facing was dead. The very fabric of law and physics he had known was just torn asunder before him. At this point literally anything could present itself before him. Ezgi's words resonated with Joey. "Ezgi, you have nothing to worry about. I know I may look a bit rough around the edges but i'm sure I can look after Maki for you." He thought back to some of the other experiences like this. "I might even be able to find your Sentret a new home. Someone who will be able to give your Maki the love and care she has deserved for so long." He looked to the loveable little Sentret and smiled. "I will do everything I can to ensure that."
With the battle still ongoing, the hit of another flashback rocked Joey's entire being. Her previous flashback of falling into the hole and having the Rocket mobster sneer at her was horrible enough. This next one of losing someone close to her was almost too much to bare for Joey. He clenched his fist tightly and bit into it as a means of trying to hold back the tears. The idea that one day he too could lose one of his Pokemon hit home hard. He couldn't imagine seeing any of his beloved Pokemon on their deathbed. Being faced with such a grim reality in Ezgi's position was something Joey could only begin to try and imagine.
Realising that she had now sent the very same Pachirisu before them in battle, Joey couldn't help but let his tears flow. He tried holding them back and mustered his voice as best he could to talk with the girl. "A-A-At least... You're with your Pokemon now. The Rocket's evil attempt at separating you in life proved futile as you're together in d-death..." He looked at the Pokemon called Ren and tried to resolve his sadness. "Ezgi, forgive me for having to battle your Pokemon but I must do this in order to calm your spirit to rest." Joey looked down to all of his Pokemon. "You're still with me? Good." Hades barked responsively and Joey let out a small laugh. "Just as before, Bite and let's show her our real strength. I sure hope your jaws aren't getting tired..." Asked Joe with some genuine concern. His tears had stopped but he had felt a real connection with this deceased girl. Out of respect for her, the least he could do his prove his worth and try and find some happiness for her remaining Pokemon.

Ezgi listened to Joey’s kind words and sighed thoughtfully. The sigh echoed and Hades pricked her ears. Ren shook his fur, the mist that surrounded him spilling out around him like frost. Hades suddenly felt cold as the field around then became shrouded in a deep mist. It concealed both trainers, though Ezgi’s form was still visible through the gloom. She looked down at Ren who looked up at her with the same enthusiasm of any Pachirisu. Ezgi had also been thankfully for Joey’s kind emotions, and how these visions finally helped someone understand her pain and fear the day that she had departed, but she was also happy, he was right, that her and her Pokemon could be reunited through death. She raised one pale arm and commanded Ren quickly. “Spark!” Ren didn’t waste another moment, his lithe body allowing him to move faster than Hades could have, and he made a speedy approach, his body sparking with electricity that eventually stabilized and turned blue. He collided with Hades and she yelped as she and Joey were once again thrown into a vision of the past. The sun was at the highest point it could have been, and Ezgi’s voice was already sore from crying out. Ren’s limp body was beside her and placed neatly, but now she held on to a dying Fana. “Fana…please don’t leave me… Please? They took Maki away and Ren he’s…oh Fana…don’t go…” The elephant had stopped breathing now, and Ezgi forced herself to place the elephant beside Ren. It wasn’t long after that she began to truly feel the effects of the heat. Hades now felt even more heat than her fire core that rested in her Body could provide her, like the intensity of the heat that day.Hades sprang into action once she had recovered, taking careful steps through the fog and finally finding herself able to bite down into Ren’s fur. The Pachirisu writhed in her grip, losing plenty of his health, but was soon let go as the Houdnour and trainer were thrown into another vision, which was triggered by the attack. Ezgi had lost all her will, finding herself losing the struggled with the heat.Carefully, she drew a Pokeball from her pocket, Maki's Pokeball, and as a last order of business, broke it so she would bre freed. She then curled around her two dead team members and her breathing slowly came to a stop.
What Joey was hit with next was indiscernible pain, like a mother’s loss of her child. It was clear that she had been found, but only after it was too late. _________________________________________________________ VS.Ezgi's Ren |Level 15| Health: 57% (27/47HP)Status: Meh.; Normal Attack: A successful Spark. To Joey, Ren was an exotic Pokemon he had never really come across before. He had heard tales of an electric squirrel Pokemon but this was the first time he could say he had met one face to face, so to speak. After all, this Pachirisu was dead but it retained its form and abilities as it did when it was alive. The fact its amazing speed overtook even Hades had Joe gasp to himself. "Damn... The surprises just keep comin'!" He had set upon his journey in Johto partly as a fugitive outlaw on the run but also as a means of thrill seeking. So far this battle had not disappointed. The ferocious impact of the move known as Spark was something Joey had not come across until now. Sure he had seen other trainers from when he was a kid in Kanto use incredibly devastating moves but this was one of the first times he had been face to face as a trainer.
The physical connection made with Spark triggered another memory. Joey seemingly froze on the spot as the world around him seemed to rewind at an alarming rate. Eventually the time around him came to a skidding halt and he was left with another melancholy experience. The feeling of loss resonated once more through Joey's being as Ezgi's flashback showed her loss of another Pokemon. "This is madness... No kid should have to face this dire scenario... Damned Rockets..." That was all Joey could think of as he saw the lively Fana succumb to death. It was so odd, seeing the Pokemon in such a terrible state there having just battled its ghostly form previously.
The memory came to a halt and they were once again back in the present reality. Joey shook his head slightly and focused ahead of him. This memory exploring business was slightly taking its toll. "Haha, just wait until I tell my friends about this." Hades, as battle experienced as she was, managed to land another successful bite which did a fair amount of damage. As expected by Joey at this point, the physical contact triggered a further part of Ezgi's last few moments. This time was even soul destroying than the last. By now Ezgi had pretty much realised the end was awaiting her. With Joey's connection he too felt this overwhelmingly terrible feeling. It was unlike anything he had ever felt before. The way she ended, it was so terribly wrong. How could such a bright, young girl as herself have her life snuffed from her when she had so much more ahead of her in life.
The intense heat Joey had felt throughout all of this was now bordering on the same level as his anger and rage for the person responsible behind this. "Team Rocket... Is there no level you'll stoop to just for a petty leg up over someone?" His hands were by his side, clenched. At this point it was safe to say if any Rocket mobster were to come close to him at this point, he'd be more than happy to let loose his burning hatred. Perhaps because of his blinded anger, Joey overlooked the fact Hades was a little worse for wear, instead he persisted in ordering her to fight. "Hades! I know this has been long for you but we need to keep this up! Repeat your Bite attack! One more time!" Hades was intensely loyal to its trainer Joey. In her eyes, Joey could do no wrong. Understanding the order given to her, it focused on the Pachirisu and prepared itself once again for battle. It may be faster but Hades wasn't going to let that deter her.

Ezgi glanced at her Pachirisu, who tilted his head at her. She observed Joey’s advance with his Houndour, not giving her a chance to rest, but she understood it. She knew that he was only doing this in the intention of helping her Maki. Though, she wouldn’t let him have Maki until the battle was over. She turned to Ren and signaled him to be at attention. “Ren, Thunderbolt now!” Ren’s body sparked again, but he stood where he was, preparing for the voltage he was about to send through his body. “Paaachiiiiii!” The cry came out as an eerie wail, and Hades stood still where she was, immobilized by the noise. The electricity coursed through her body, sending tremors through her. She staggered, but didn’t fall, still standing tough. Another vision hit both her and Joey, perhaps one of the final ones. She was stuck in a dark truck. Maki was stuck in a truck with no way out, and she could hear the tap of a fresh rain. She was in another town, and far, far away from her poor trainer, who had been thrown down a hole in order for this man to get his hands on her.
Though, there was chance for escape. The man opened the truck, and tried to quiet down a yappy Growlithe, probably stolen, and that’s when she realized, her cage was loose. She rammed into the door once and came tumbling out. This vision brought a feeling of hope to the Houndour, and she sprung, catching the squirrel in her jaws. She shook him once before letting him fall to the ground, though the impact didn’t make a sound. This threw the Trainer-Pokémon duo into the continuation of the vision from earlier. Skirting round the man’s hands, she jumped from the truck and ran as fast as she could possibly go. She didn’t stop, not until the rain left and she felt the heat hit her back again, though now cooler as it was nightfall. She made her way back to the hole, but her trainer wasn’t there, and it was plugged up, and there were flowers and an assortment of toys on it.
One of Maki’s ears fell, and she continued into town, trying to find Ezgi’s scent, but she didn’t find it. She stood on the porch of Ezgi’s home, looking around frantically. She heard crying and her ears shot up. Maybe it was Ezgi, recovering from the shock of the day! Though she scrambled to the lit windowsill and peered in. Ezgi’s mother and father were sitting in the living room, her mother’s face was buried in some kind of blanket. Maki let her ears fall to her sides and jumped from the sill, disappearing back into the brush.

Ren was no easy foe. Despite the Pokemon's cutesy demeanour it could hit like a freight train with such ease of access to powerful moves such as Thunderbolt. Joey had to almost stop himself from instinctively rolling out of harms way when the thunderbolt created by the electric squirrel hit touchdown and coursed through Houndour. He looked on in concern as he realised just how bad in shape his Pokemon was. Before he had time to take action and heal, the now common pattern of viewing another vision played out. This vision wasn't so morbid in its tone as Ezgi's last moments as it was from the view of Maki. This was laced with intense desperation at hoping to escape. As Joey noticed the cage was loose at the same time Maki did, Joey emphatically felt the same feeling of freedom's hope. The charge Maki had attempted seemed to force Joey back into present day. Hades had already limped off to have her attack.
This contact from the attack bought about an expected flashback. This time there was the sense of overwhelming happiness from escaping from the reach of that evil man. With the Sentret now thoroughly tracking Ezgi's sent, Joey fell silent realising the Pokemon would soon come across the realisation her trainer had passed away. The dramatic turn of events seemed all too much to bare. Joey began to think of what it would be like for any Pokemon upon realising their trainer was no longer there to be with them. As the Sentret vanished into the bushes, Joey came back to his own present day. He looked to the Sentret standing before him. He was going to ensure this Pokemon the happiness that had been so wrongly stolen from it. It was nearing the time to undo the wrongs of the past.
His attention soon shifted to that of his own Pokemon. He looked down at his Hades and saw she was in dire need of medical attention. Without a second thought, he leapt forward and skidded beside her. He began patting his pockets furiously until he breathed a sigh of relief. He had found the healing item he had been searching for. He looked to Hades and began getting the item ready for use. "This might sting a bit, hun, hold on...!" He sprayed the pink plastic bottle and watched as the wondrously magical spray hit against Hades' wounds. After a few mere seconds, the wounds suddenly disappeared and Hades was now as fit as a fiddle! Joey sighed happily as he looked at her. He gave her a firm rub of her cheeks and patted her head. "Alright, back you go...!" Standing back up and brushing himself down from the grass he had smeared over himself he commanded the next attack. "Hades! Ember! Show Ezgi our burning passion to help Pokemon from fear of abuse!" The dog barked and its mouth became aglow. The Pokemon was spitting up a coal of embers at the target.

Ezgi watched Joey as he healed Hades, and she shot a glance at Ren. Ren nodded, letting her know he was reay for a free shot. “Spark, and then Use Thunderbolt!” Ren complied easily, racing across the grass and letting his body spark with electricity. Ramming against Hades, he let her feel the shock of the attack, and the Hound quickly staggered backwards, trying to shake off the shock of the attack. Though she didn’t have time to react as Ren let loose a close range Thunderbolt. Hades growled as the electricity shocked her body, and she shook in an attempt to regain her wits. It didn’t take long for her to retort either. She let the embers spill from her jaws, many of which smacked into Ren and knocked him over. After a few moments he didn’t move, and Ezgi gave an audible sigh as she recalled the rodent, and placed the Pokeball neatly in her hair. Gently she stepped over to Joey, her shoes not even disturbing the grass below them. Maki followed after her and climbed onto Joey’s shoulder. In silence, the ghost girl hugged Joey carefully, though of course he wouldn’t feel it. Maki watched the ghost as she stepped back, the mist had not yet faded. She smiled at the Sentret, then turned to Joey. “Thank you, for showing me that you will take care of my Sentret. Fana, Ren and I are grateful, and now that Maki is safe we can leave this route… but we won’t forget what you’ve done.” She began to fade, and so did the mist, and soon Joey and Hades could see the sun clearly again as it blared down on the route and Maki was staring at Joey, like she was waiting for something to happen. Also, Upon closer inspection, Hades could see three Pecha Berries where Ezgi had once stood! ____________________________________________________________ InfoGhost Girl Ezgi has been defeated! In a blur, the battle had come to a conclusion. Joey looked on as Ezgi had recalled her faithful starter Pokemon back to her and looked to Hades to see if she was still ok. She looked a little worse for wear but the main point was they had shown how capable they were and the strengthened bonds between them. Distracted by checking on his Pokemon, he staggered back slightly as he realised that Ezgi was nearing closer to him. It wasn't that he was afraid of hugging a dead girl's ghost it was just a bit unnerving to have someone hover so serenely over to you. As she stopped in front and gestured to hug, Joey reciprocated the motion despite not feeling any physical contact. That didn't matter to him however, the thought is what counted. Ezgi's farewell made a lump appear in Joey's throat and he had trouble trying to respond to her in time. Eventually he mustered control over his voice and called out to her. "Don't you worry! I will make sure Maki finds a perfect little home. All those years of wandering aimlessly... I'll more than make up for her. I'll find someone... I will..." Just before she fully disappeared, Joey called out. "If you ever... Err, come across me again feel free to say hello. I'm not sure how it works with you bein' dead 'n all but hey... Johto's meant to have a lot of spiritual energy flowing through. May you rest in peace!" By then she had fully disappeared but it didn't stop Joey from waving at where she had stood. The thief seemed to be in thought but was distracted by the inquisitiveness of his Pokemon. He moved over to where Ezgi had stood and noticed some Pecha berries! He scooped them and looked at them while grinning warmly to himself. "Of all things she could leave she left me, she left Pecha berries... I guess I do handle more Poison types than your average person." He pocketed them away and smiled. That was an incredibly sweet gift for her to have left behind. Wanting to kick back, he proceeded to look at the grass behind him and take a much needed seat. For the longest of moments, Joe sat there expressionless. He was sure he hadn't eaten any dangerous berries that had induced visions such as these. After all, Maki wouldn't be next to him. That was... Odd to say the least. "I suppose with there being ghost types there'd be ghost humans too... Wow." He looked up to the sky and shook his head side to side once in disbelief. "Gonna have to get my head around that. Maybe someone in this land might have some expertise on ghosts and communicating with the dead." His Hades had nudged closer to him and he laughed at how close together his group was. Meowth and Maki both on his back and Hades leaning against him. Narcissa was somewhere nearby still sunbathing but with the most shocked face imaginable. Overjoyed by how loyal Hades was in her battles, Joey decided it best to give her a little treat. "Hey Hades, I got somethin' for ya!" He scooped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a delectable looking Rare Candy. He unwrapped the wrapper and held his hand out for Hades to much on the treat. "Enjoy!" As she took it out of his hand and began eating on it, he turned his back and looked to Maki. "Say little lady, you're a sweet little thing ain'tcha?" He looked down to his own attire and what he got up to. "I wouldn't like you to get caught up in half of the stupid stuff I get into..." A thought then came into his mind. "Say, I bet we could make Ezgi really proud by training you some and unlocking your true potential? How do ya like the sound of that?" The Sentret skittled about excitedly and seemed respondent to the idea. "Maybe I could even find you a... Home?" The Sentret's ears flickered. Joey seemed like a very kind individual and was unsure why that would matter. "Oh c'mon... I'm constantly dealing with Rockets and I would hate for them to steal you away again. For all the years you missed out being with Ezgi maybe I can find another little kid to look after ya? I think Ezgi might like that idea. Peace of mind, y'know? You'd be in a nice loving environment. If you followed me i'd be on the run all the time and battling nonstop..." As Joe reasoned, Maki could see where he was coming from. For now, it was hesitant and was going to enjoy its time with him. "Let's see if we can find some wild Pokemon to help us train you some, eh?" Prior to any searching for wild Pokemon, there was a gleam of light from behind them then an unfamiliar howl which Joey had never heard before. He froze on the spot and realised his Meowth was digging in extra harder than usual. "Meowth, you best have good reason to be poking in holes into my-" He then realised the Meowth was grabbing his attention to what was behind him. "Silly cat, it's only Hound-" He had turned and was greeted with a fearsome looking hellish hound that seemed to be looking to Joey with great admiration and affection. "Hades?! Is that you hun?!" The dog bounded towards him and began jumping up at him to lick his face. There was no doubt about it! From all the protection she had given Joey and battles a she had fought, it meant she had reached the peak of her abilities and transformed into a Houndoom. "Oh wow... You look pretty damn badass!" He settled her down and petted her head. "I feel sorry for the next thing to cross our paths!"
