Status: Route 30 OOC: Please put snivy in my team.
After Alex had his wurmple evolved into a silcoon, he was happy to explore the fragrant and seaside Cherrygrove City. However, before he proceed to do that, he needed to change as the weather had changed again. He registered and rented a room in the pokemon center, and put on a jacket. He instantly felt warm in that small room, but not when he go out and explore the cool weather.
After taking a few minutes walking out of the pokemon center and into route 30, he decided to situate himself on the border of route 30, with Cherrygrove city within his view. This action was his precaution in case he stay at the route too long and got lost in the dark.
He tossed a pokeball and allowed his Tackzill out again. The purple moth pokemon was glad to be breathing the smells of flowers and trees. The two began moving about, preparing whatever this route brings to them.

A harsh, bone-chilling wind swept across the route, forcing most Pokemon back into their homes. Even the hardiest of Pokemon seemed hesitant to emerge from their warm nests and dens. However, all Pokemon needed food to survive, so out of necessity, a few Pokemon ventured forth to scavenge for something to sate their rumbling stomachs. Most of them stayed relatively close to their homes, but a brave few journeyed farther away, willing to brave the chilling winds in search of food.
One such Pokemon staggered across the path before Alex and Tackzill. The young Ralts hunkered close to the ground, trying not to let the strong winds blow its frail body away. Shivering from the cold, its psychic senses alerted it to the trainer's presence almost as soon as Alex noticed the Ralts. The creature turned its gaze to the trainer, staring up at him from under its green bangs. Strangely enough, the Pokemon was silent, not screeching or roaring like other Pokemon would have done. Perhaps it was its psychic senses, or perhaps it was merely exhausted from fighting the wind. Either way, the young Pokemon stood quietly before Alex, as if waiting for the trainer to initiate a battle.
A quiet Ralts (level 6) wants to battle! Choose a Pokemon for battle! (Weather will be windy for the duration of the match)

Status: Route 30 Feeling the sudden chill of wind (brrrr~), Alex hugged himself tightly as he struggled to find something interesting on the route, like a pokemon battle. Even though that would means he won't be the one battling and staying warm. He thought it might be contrasting for the trainer to stand and stay cold while the pokemon get to battle and get warm. However, Tackzill's body was not made for this. She squealed lightly as she was forced by the wind backward. Just as Alex was reaching for the bug pokemon's pokeball, he noticed a small green pokemon looking at him. He faintly remembered its name and what type it was. He also faintly remembered that the pokemon sense human and pokemon with its horn, disk, thing.... Red thing... Quickly, he grabbed a pokeball and returned Tackzill. Then, he sent out another pokeball and out came his spearow, Scarout. Knowing that the avian pokemon was probably use to the temperature, he knew this battle could start off easy... "Scarout, use Peck!" Alex ordered the spearow. "Hey, I did promise you get the first fight in Route 30!"You need some pecking order!! SQUAWK!~ Upon hearing the command, the spearow flew up high. Not that Scarout liked being that low on the ground anyways. He proceeded to flew a fair amount of height upward, aiming for that green and white pokemon. Also, not that he cared the opponent's species name anyways.

The Ralts sat silently, watching with wide eyes as Scarout soared up into the air. The wild Pokemon had always envied bird Pokemon. They always seemed so graceful, even in the toughest of winds. Such was the case now, with the gusty weather blowing the trees back and forth violently. And yet, Scarout still managed to keep his flight stable. Circling above, he adjusted his flight to better suit the wind, then dove straight for the psychic Pokemon. The wind at his back sped him up, and he slammed his beak against the Ralts with a bit more force than normal.
The Ralts let out a soft cry, stumbling backward as it held a delicate hand against its injury. The young Pokemon had never been one for battles, so the amount of pain from its injury shocked it. In a moment of anger, the psychic Pokemon lashed out, its eyes glowing blue under its green bangs. A blue glow surrounded Scarout, lifting the Pokemon back into the air and contorting him into odd positions. The Spearow squawked in pain, struggling to break free from the invisible force that held him. Eventually, the Ralts was unable to continue the attack, as its psychic powers were still weak. Scarout dropped back to the ground as the glow faded. The rough bird shot the Ralts a nasty glare, wanting so badly to charge forward and attack again, but remembering to wait for his master's order.

Alex pulled his jacket tightly, but he does not like cold weather and this wind surely was sapping the energy out of him. He could feel himself began to shiver or something, as his words were beginning to be difficult to formulate themselves.
"Alllrrrighhht, Sccccarrrout, rrreturn!" he pulled out a pokeball, shaking his words from the cold.
Then, numbly, he threw another pokeball on the field. A golden ball of silk pokemon with two eyes peeking outside came out. The pokemon was not exactly immobile, but he was enjoying the warmth underneath the layers of silk
"Hheeeeyy, Casssilk. Tackle!" he ordered, shivering.
He thought he should probably come back tomorrow.

Rubbing a hand wearily against it's head where the sharp pecking had landed, the wild Ralts picked up on the deathly stare Scarout was sending. Shivering in unison with Alex, although more out of fear than the bone chilling winds which swirled around them, the tiny creature was allowed some relief as the rugged Spearow was retreated back into his Pokeball. Calming down it's shivering, the psychic type tried to sense what Alex was thinking, only picking up on emotional waves which portrayed his hatred for the cold as he wrapped tighter into his jacket. Lowering it's head some, the wild Pokemon felt that this trainer wanted to flee, it's tiny white feet wanting to start walking off itself in order to continue it's search for food. Unfortunately, Alex wasn't going to allow that to happen.
With a shaky throw, the male sent forward a second Pokemon, it's glistening, silky golden body catching the hidden eyes of the silent Ralts. Turning back to face it's new foe, it's crimson red eyes peered out from under it's helmet like green hair, staring directly over to the equally as silent Casilk. Unsure of what this cocoon would be able to accomplish, the wild Pokemon stood still and silent, the cold winds whipping around it as a familiar light blue radiated from under it's bangs. Enveloping Casilk in an ethereal glow, the Silcoon was unable to break free from the Ralts' grasp as it was lifted into the air. Luckily it was so light that the fairly inexperienced Ralts had little trouble slamming it back down to the ground with it's psychic powers, even if such a plan did drain what little power it had.
Though as Casilk's body hit the ground with a thud, the unexpected occurred for the wild psychic type. Hoping that Alex would withdraw once again, it was almost irritated that the golden silk creature was still out in the open. Breathing out, it somehow mustered a bit more strength, using every bit of it's remaining power to lift Casilk once more. It was hardly as strong as before, infact, the Ralts didn't even to smash it down all the way before it's eyes lost the same blue glow. Instead, the Silcoon was dropped into the ghastly winds, being torn in all directions as they blew around frantically. Somehow, he was able to use this to his advantage. Since the Silcoon was slow in movement, this wind was a blessing in disguise, giving the Pokemon a suitable push forward. Flying on the wind, Casilk's body was tossed directly into the Ralts, landing on top of it's fragile body and knocking it out cold.

OOC: Box and blank for now, thanks! RaltsName: [choose] Gender: M/F Level: 6 Attacks: Growl, Confusion Ability: [ Synchronize || Trace ] Nature/Personality: [choose] IC: Status: Route 30 Seeing that the green and white pokemon fell to the ground, Alex walked up close and lightly tossed a pokeball, hoping to capture this pokemon either for his future care or for someone he might encounter who can nurture this pokemon better than he. The ball hit the pokemon's body and immediately felt a pokemon. The device opened up and a beam of light enveloped and consumed the psychic pokemon. The ball flicked a strange red light. It wobbled to the left, despite the wind. It wobbled to the right, despite the wind. It wobbled to the front, because of the wind. The pokeball certainly was not dancing. The light from the pokeball stopped. Alex picked up the ball and returned his Casilk. He tugged his clothes, shivered a bit, and hurried back to the pokemon center, hopefully he will be back for another day.
When he returned to the pokemon center, he heard people were discussing the Unova Festival. Growing up in Sinnoh, he faintly heard of that region. His mind began to race as he decide if he should attend such region or not. Then, upon hearing that entrance and fare fees are free, he walked quickly to his room to pack the belongings he needed. Hopefully he can grab a few pokemon from that region. He saw a calendar in his room and thought one weekend might do. Hopefully when he returns, the weather will be better.
After Alex had returned from Unova with a snivy named Serchavine, and after having one night of rest, he sorted his backpack and began adventuring Route 30 of Johto again. All in all, Sercha was his first Unova pokemon, and he cannot wait to see what powerful grass type the pokemon would turn into. And even, what trainer or pokemon he would encounter in this route. This time, he wore short sleeves t shirt and shorts, with a warmer jacket in his backpack. Albeit heavy, it would provide a stronger protection against the cold. Not his legs though.

Autumn was sure enough a fun month. The Unova festival had hit the region in full force, causing trainers to drop what they were doing there and then to travel over to the grounds to see their exotic wares. There were plenty of rare and exclusive Pokemon, even if it was for a hefty price in certain cases. But it wasn't just the festival what made these months so great but the weather also played a part in things. The heat of the summer was finally starting to cool down, leaving traces of bearable warmth which were usually accompanied by the breezes of winter which were slowly beginning to drift in. Especially on a day like today when Alex decided to have another shot at exploring the route outside of Cherrygrove. It was neither hot nor freezing, raining nor hailing, just a clear day with a delicate breeze pushing between the crisp autumn leaves and overgrown blades of grass.
Wandering in his choice of attire, Alex was bound to come across some form of life sooner rather than later. The sound of birds echoing between the forest of trees which sprouted close to the path, the odd powerful rustle disrupting the swaying grass every now and again. Although nothing was going to pop out at him from below, or walk over to him in curiosity. This next battle was down to the course of the wind, or more importantly the Hoppip which was being carried along on it. A delighted expression spread across it's face as the wind took the light Pokemon for a ride across the sky, the rays of the sun trickling on the weed like creature and filling it with further happiness. Floating along that bit further, it soon came in eye shot of Alex. However, if he wanted to have a go at capturing it, he would have to be quick. The breeze could very well carry it away if he decided not to intervene.
A wild Hoppip (Level 6) has appeared to battle! Please select a Pokemon.

Alex could felt the breezy wind blowing as he was walking. This was definitely a nice weather for exploration. No cold, icy wind. No shivering. No sweating like a hose. No blazing sun. Perfect weather. Just as he was observing the grass rustling to see if pokemon were hiding there, he noticed something pink in the corner of his eyes. A hoppip! He was delighted to finally find a grass type pokemon in this area. And probably the only grass type pokemon in this route.
Upon seeing this opportunity, he threw a pokemon in the air to initiate the battle.
"Go, Tackzill," he yelled, "use Confusion!"
Tackzill popped up from the pokeball. Her eyes glowed blue as she began to attempt a confusion on the floating weed pokemon.
The wind was blowing continuously, smoothly, but slowly. Alex could see the trees rustling, but the leaves were holding on. Clearly autumn had just started, and no leaves were falling yet.

The Hoppip squeaked happily as the trainer decided to battle it. Oh, the tiny weed-like Pokemon loved battles. Sure, it was terrible at them, having no real attacks to use, but it could still enjoy itself nonetheless. Twisting its tiny body, it caught the wind, riding the breeze down to the ground. There it stood, waiting to see what the Dustox would do.
Tackzill took this opportunity to attack. Her eyes glowed a brilliant blue, and the same blue glow coated the Hoppip, lifting it a few feet off the ground. The weed-like Pokemon squealed in a mixture of surprise, glee, and fear. It was another moment before the pain began, feeling as if a thousand needles were piercing the Pokemon's skin. Yowling, the Hoppip struggled against its invisible bonds, flailing in a vain attempt to escape. Finally, Tackzill's attack ended, and she released the wild Pokemon.
The Hoppip fell to the ground, surprised by the strange attack. Most times, it got beat in battles merely by physical attacks. This new scope of attacks that didn't require contact was both interesting and frightening. The Hoppip knew that it was outmatched, but it still had to try to fight. It had heard rumors of a legendary Splash attack that rocked the seas and split the heavens asunder. Drawing upon all its strength, the Hoppip leapt up, angling itself for the perfect Splash attack. It rose, and then fell, bouncing pathetically off the ground. So it was not fated to use the legendary one-hit-K-O Splash, then... How disappointing.

Seeing that his moth pokemon had landed-- minded-- a successful confusion, Alex anticipated to catch this pokemon. He remembered the trader in Unova would gladly trade Pansage for a Hoppip, and he would gladly trade a hoppip for a Pansage. Well, that depends which way you describe the trade. After the Hoppip had attempted to land a splash, Alex reached into his pocket for an empty pokeball. "Stay back," Alex called his Tackzill. She immediately rerouted and flew to hover above Alex, completely withdrew from the battlefield. Seeing the opportunity now that the trade of defense was over, Alex threw a pokeball toward the floating weed pokemon. The half red and half white spherical device darted toward the pokemon, opened up and a flash of white light encapsulated the pink creature. With a red light flashing on the center circle of the pokeball, Alex watched as the pokeball began to wobble. He was hoping this Hoppip would want to find a home in Unova, and maybe tried some of those Pansage leaf when he needed to stay up for late hours. Though after this trade, he probably needed another hoppip for himself. OOC: omg, i feel evil. even my in character is intentional to catch this *hides in shame*

Floating back up into the air thanks to the power of the gentle breeze, the Hoppip shook it's body from side to side after it's random splashing was proven to be useless. Only on the rarest of occurrences did the pathetic move turn into one of utter destruction, not that this youngster had ever experienced such power itself. Only stories and myths had entered it's large pink ears, which were whispered on the winds between clusters of Hoppip's. Still, the Hoppip was oddly able to remain positive, a cheerful grin still plastered on it's face as it floated about on the spot. Despite feeling at a disadvantage, the weed was clearly enjoying a good battle. It was just a shame it had no idea what was in store for it's future, that being perhaps traded off in exchange for an odd monkey.
Regardless of it's future, the Hoppip appeared to perk up slightly as the large moth was called back to her master. Watching the bug delicately flutter back and hover over the top of Alex's head, ooh how the grass type wished it could move so freely and elegantly rather than having the wind decide it's course. Looking at the trainer curiously as if wondering what his next move would be, the pink creature was taken aback at the sight of a small red and white spherical object. Squealing at the pretty, shiny sight, the Hoppip was unaware of what this object was. Eying the ball as it was tossed through the air, the Hoppip cutely pushed itself forward, stretching out it's tiny hands as if ready to catch it. Only to be drawn inside with a red flash of light and tumble to the ground...
WIGGLE. WIGGLE. WIGGLE. TING!
Congratulations!

HoppipName: Fairy Gender: Fefe Level: 6 Attacks: Splash, Synthesis Ability: Chlorophyll Nature/Personality: jollier than thou forget string shot for gust also, i think i will trade this in the unova festival thread, so if you want to save the trouble of not updating this in my box is fine lol. IC: As soon as Alex heard the encouraging "TING" from the pokeball, he walked over and picked up the pokeball. He was ready to visit Unova Festival again this weekend. However, this week-- no, today-- had just started and he felt he should continue adventuring. Tackzill followed as he was grabbing the pokeball and putting it in his pocket. After noting that her trainer had ceased the attention of the newly caught pokemon, she seized his attention by weakly shooting a string shot, showing that this move might not be as useful anymore. "Tox," Tackzill whispered as a short strand of sticky solid were shot from her mouth. "Oh, looks like you got something new to show me," the male trainer responded to the fading strength of string shot. Then, flying up higher, Tackzill flapped her wings hard and a strong gust of wind blew across the grass, while shouting, "TOOXXX!" "I believe this is.. gust?" he asked his pokemon, and she nodded. Alex smiled, knowing that his pokemon has become stronger. However, given this knowledge, this mean that Cherrygrove City area might not be fitting for him to continue to adventure if he were to find stronger pokemon and have his pokemon get stronger. Turning around, he returned to Cherrygrove and began checking out of pokemon center, making his way to Violet City. Before he exited the city, he took a final look at the Cherrygrove Beach. Sure, he might not be a swimming or beach person, but the smell of salty ocean reached his nose through the air. He thought about briefly the day he traveled from Sinnoh to Johto, with many wingulls flying. Before he could reminiscence further, he stopped and began walking toward Violet City. As he was walking, he saw a field of pepper plants flowering, a spicy smell stinging the air. He made no comment in his head. There was nothing he could think of to that, except the autumn had brought other good happenings other than chilly cold winds. A few minutes later, he arrived in Violet City.
