Target Theft Assignments
In order to secure Team Rocket's return to power, one of the best ways to accomplish this feat is to let other trainers do all the hard work of training, only for our fine organisation to relieve them of their duties when the time comes.
From time to time, field agents will update this topic with news on key targets and their Pokémon which are high on the Rocket hit list for procuring. There are however some procedures you must be aware of:
- Thefts work on a first come, first serve basis: Someone else beat you to the punch? Too bad, come back later when some other poor mug is in the firing line.
- Three is a magic number: The theft itself will require you to pick three select Pokémon of your own to use and no more. Whilst its tempting to use more than three, we don't want the bust going tits up and help from the police arriving. Hit 'em hard and fast.
- Target limits: The only limitation on who you can accept a hit on is that you cannot put yourself forward to deal a theft on a second character you may have. Any attempts to do so are void and go to the next in line.
- Have Cool, Will Travel: If you're afraid the targets listed are too far ahead of you in another city you have yet to visit then fear not. We'll drop you off via one of our helicopters. A Rocket as far as Violet can still engage a trainer in Olivine for example.
- No Slowpokes: If interest is taking too long to be expressed in inquiring about a target, the show will go on without you. Should no Rocket have signed up for the mission within three days, an NPC grunt will be sent instead.
Now of course, in aiding Team Rocket you are also aiding yourself. By undertaking such an assignment, you will receive a hefty amount of prestige to your name with a number of bonus prestige to be he had depending on the circumstances:
- 30 Prestige is awarded for success in securing the target Pokémon.
- 10 Prestige is further awarded should a secondary Pokémon other than the target be claimed.
- 5 Prestige is handed upon whether or not the Pokémon you have obtained is of a rare species not owned by anyone else on the forum.
- 5 Prestige is further handed out depending on whether the taken Pokémon are of an alternate shiny colouring.
