Keen senses could save lives. The tracks led through a lightly trodden path, easily accessible by smaller Pokemon, but harder for bulky humans to get through. The foilage looked as though it had been trodden upon, so suspicions would be useful. If one were quiet, it was possible to hear the far off rustling of a Pokemon running, so it was safe to assume this was the right direction. However, if you listened longer, they'd stopped. The undergrowth quit rustling, and all was silent aside from the breeze, and random Pokemon. As they continued down the path, it got less foresty and slowly turned into a large clearing. A few trees dotted the area, but for the most part was flat. A few boxes of supplies were here and there, and a truck with a cover over it's bed sat idle. The sound was loud, and hinted that the truck was a diesel, but wasn't loud enough to mask the puppies. The tiny sounds of yipping, squirming puppies. A distressed growl ripped through the air, followed by a sharp crack of what sounded like a whip. "Shut yer yap, ya filthy animal. I ain't got all day to be messing with you."A sharp, gruff voice was heard on the other side of the truck. Further investigation revealed a scruffy poacher, and a netted score of the Houndour they'd been chasing, as well as her four pups. They huddled close to their mother's side, scared and yowling until the poacher cracked his whip once more. "I said shut it, you lot!"The man fished through the net and grabbed two puppies by the scruff, tossing them into a cage in the back of his car. The Houndour snarled and attempted to fight back, but was aprehended by a Sneasel with the same smirk the poacher shared. Something had to be done. The Houndour bled from the wound, and kept quiet, protecting the other two pups by standing over them as best she could. The Houndour met eyes with the wandering trainer, and almost looked as if it was pleading. The Sneasel followed the gaze, and snipped it's claws angrily. The Poacher turned, alerted to the newest catch. "Oh that's cute. Officer Jenny can't even find me, but you can? Adorable!"The man scoffed, patting his hip for Sneasel to follow. "You got a problem with this girlie? If you want to make it out of here alive, just drop yer Pokeballs and head back the way you came. I wouldn't want anyone to get..."Sneasel stepped infront of Hunter Travis, glaring over at Alissa with a menacing glare. Hurt. Hunter Travis is giving you a choice.

The sight Alissa saw was nothing, but horrific. The poor Houndour had been given a choice it seemed. The choice wasn't successful because of her and now she was faced with a poacher. "Alistare I want you to go find Jimmy and tell him of the Poacher, as best you can. Igni, lets make quick work of this.... 'Scary' Poacher." Alissa gives him a smirk of herown, her face then contorted into what was not normal for her, a scowl. "You.... You big mouthed no good excuse for a trainer!! What? Do you get off doing this to Pokemon?" She looks at the Houndour as she turns and looks to her.
"That's all you are good for huh, capturing Pokemon.... I'll show you what I'm good for.... Beating the holy living shit out of you!!" Alissa says, she was beyond being mad, she was furious. Everything she stood for, this man had taken and ripped them up to shreds. "Igni!! Use Ember on this Sneasel!! DON'T HOLD BACK!!"
Igni didn't know what to think when her trainer suddenly blew up at the man across from them. She looked at Alissa and the fire in her eye's. It put Determination in her own heart and now was her cjance to do something. So full of her trainer's compassion, Igni looks at the Sneasel and begins to form the fire within her.

As Travis gave the order to hurt Alissa for snooping in his business Sneasel was all ready to go. The sounds of the poor Houndour in the background did not bother the demon as up to this point it had not upset it's master. Before Sneasel made it's move the evil and heartless Pokemon hunter wanted to jab back at Alissa for her strong words. "You think you will beat the shit out of my? You must be delusional. By the time Sneasel gets done with you two that lizard of yours will be a pair of boots and you will be buried in the woods." He said as he cracked his whip near Sneasel to get it ready. As Sneasel stood unnerved that it may be next Travis gave the young Pokemon it's orders. " Lets show this ***** how we do things around here and give that lizard a Quick Attack." As Sneasel ran towards Igni the poor Charmander had no hope of avoiding the attack. The speedy Pokemon ran into Igni with as much force as it could muster. Travis was less than impressed by the damage the attack had done. Igni felt bad for the poor Sneasel for having such a bad trainer and knew at heart Sneasel was not likely evil but she knew she had to attack either way. As Igni took a deep breath she sent small embers out of her mouth towards Sneasel. The poor thing screamed out in pain but the worst was yet to come. Hearing Sneasel's outburst Travis started beating the small Pokemon repeatedly with his whip for the outburst. " How did you like that lashing you little wimp." He said as his Pokemon could hardly stand. Sneasel looked over towards Igni like it was lucky to have a far nicer trainer hoping that this battle would be over soon. Trainer Pokemon Battle

Watching as Sneasel hit Igni with a much less than impressive attack, though the look it recieved was one of disgust from iits..... Idiotic piece of shitty excuse for a trainer. Whats more, after Igni hit Sneasel with its ember. Sneasel cried out in pain and what the poacher did afterwards was inexcusable.
"You.... You.... You idiot!! How can you treat a Pokemon like that?! Do you have feelings? Do you even have a soul?!" Igni looks at the Sneasel and nods as to agree to get this over with. She felt bad for the Dark/Ice type, but Igni knew she had to defeat it, to get to the man. "Igni!! Use Ember again!! At least give this Pokemon some well deserved rest from this.... Maniac." Hearing her command, Igni immediately began growing the fire inside her body.
"I'm sorry Sneasel, but to get to him, I have to go through you..." Alissa says, looking as apologetic as possible.

Ooc: Well that took a bit longer than I had hoped but at least everything is working now. As Travis looked behind him the Houndour growled in anger for him showing such cruelty to Sneasel as well as themselves as they looked on from their cage in the car. They were planning an escape so they could punish Travis for being such a dictator towards all of them. They may be the devils dogs but even they behaved far better than Travis who was downright heartless. The hellhounds were filled with rage as they hoped the 2nd round would put Travis in hs place. Sneasel just looked back at them as if it was begging for their help. The demon Pokemon knew it would need it as this battle was clearly in Igni's favor. It's master would likely have it for dinner if it lost this battle which Sneasel figured it would lose as it could tell Igni was in far better shape. As Sneasel desperately tried to figure out how in the hell it could save itself Travis cracked the Sneasel across it's back with his whip as he could tell it wanted to give up. " You coward if I do end up in prison because you lose this battle for me because you are trying to save yourself you will end up mincemeat now stay focused."As he finished speaking Sneasel had tears in it's eyes. It was praying Officer Jenny would arive and arrest Travis before it was too late. As Travis finally realized what Alissa had said and he really wanted to get under her skin. He cracked Sneasel repeatedly until it nearly fainted from the loss of blood. As he finished lashing out he spoke again. " Pokemon are nothing but tools and slaves. Sneasel here is a perfect example and as it has failed me so far it clearly has not been punished badly enough to know that failure is not an option. Now Sneasel get off your lazy red ass and use Quick Attack again or I will turn your ass into a bloody Christmas tree." He said as Sneasel slowly got up. Sneasel managed to stand up and run as fast as it's bloody legs could move. It tackled Igni with everything it had left before Igni's Ember knocked the poor thing out. Sneasel was barely breathing as it was knocked out. Travis was furious as he left the poor thing lying there. " Go Zubat do not fail me or you will end up like Sneasel." He said as the bat looked at it's comrade. Trainer Pokemon Battle

She also gained +1 happiness and now has +2 happiness overall. She is trying to learn Dragon Rage. Would you like to delete a move so she can learn Dragon Rage?  Igni is trying to evolve into Charmeleon do you want to stop the evolution? |

Before anything could be said Alissa witnessed another tragedy. This.... Sneasel.... It cried out in pain at the torment it was being put through. Alissa was just about to say something when he ordered it to use a Quick Attack. It ran into Igni though she really couldn't tell if she was hurting or not. Igni then unleashed her Ember upon the Pokemon, hoping to sear some of its wounds shut. With that being said, he sent out a Zubat, which even though it did not have eyes, looked upon its fallen comrade.
However in all this, Igni began to glow, she had begun to change shape, into something that was much more fierce than her previous form. Growing taller and turning to a more blood red color, she released flames from her mouth. The fire on her tail seemed to grow brighter than before, as if her will to fight improved ten times over. She stared down the Zubat and the man in front of her, giving a glare that was unmistakable, Igni wanted to hurt them. Alissa wasn't sure if she would allow her to fight, but she wanted this done quick.
"Alright Igni, I want you to give him hell!! Dragon Rage!!" With that being said immediately Igni began to store a fire that burned hotter than any other she had breathed before. Upon release, the color was different, it was a vibrant blue color, rather than her orange and yellow color. It was aimed at the man and his Zubat. At the same time Alissa moved and placed herself over the downed Sneasel. She looked at its back, "This is unforgivable...."
Tears began forming in her eyes as she looked they fell around its body, she tried wiping them away, but they wouldn't go, Alissa was afraid this Sneasel was going to die.
Replaces Growl with Dragon Rage.

As hunter Travis had been put in a rather unfortunate spot he knew time was running out. Officer Jenny would likely be hot on his trail if he did not find a way to win this battle soon. He was feeling rather unlucky after Sneasel was beaten and the criminal was desperate at this point. He may have been talking big but his Zubat was far from a powerful Pokemon. To make matters worse Alissa's Charmander had evolved into Charmeleon virtually eliminating any hope of him winning the battle at this point. As sirens roared a heard of police cars surrounded Travis but before they could get out of the car the evil man made one final effort. " Zubat use Leech Life on that Charmeleon quick before these cops ruin everything."It was to late however as a bright blue flame like object flew towards Zubat. The bat fell to the ground and was unable to keep fighting. As Travis tried to whip the Pokemon for failing him Officer Jenny's Growlithe jumped over the hood of one of the cars and dove right at him. He fell down and a few seconds later Officer Jenny walked over to handcuff the notorious criminal. Upon seeing the Sneasel on the ground she made an emergency call to the Pokemon Center requesting immediate help as ghe poor thing was barely breathing but still somehow alive. While waiting for Nurse Joy Officer Jenny walked over to Alissa. She reached into her pocket and grabbed some money to hand to the young trainer. " Thank you very much for helping to capture hunter Travis. We have been trying a long time to bring him in. Please take this 1000 poke reward for your help."As she finished speaking Nurse Joy arrived on scene with a dozen Chansey's in a bus sized ambulance. Two of them freed the trapped Houndour and led them to it while the others grabbed stretchers for Sneasel and Zubat since they were unable to move. Nurse Joy then jumped back in the ambulance with the Chansey's and drove as fast as she could to the Pokemon Center. After Officer Jenny put Travis in one of the cars she walked back over to Alissa. " That Sneasel did not look very good. I will go check on it right after Travis is behind bars. I really hope it turns out ok." She said before she got in her car and drove away with her Growlithe in the front passanger seat growling at Travis. Trainer Pokemon Battle

You mean he finally gave up!

Igni fought well and gained 1 level. She is now level 17. She also gained +1 happiness. She now has +3 happiness overall. Ooc: I was not entirely sure how much hp Igni should recover from leveling up but I went with 3 hp. It does not make a difference though as Dragon Rage was a 1 hit and Igni easily outran Zubat. |

With that final blow from Igni, the mans fate was sealed. She gave the man the meanest look she possibly could, before turning to Alissa. "Thank you Ign-" Alissa says being interrupted by the sudden sound of sirens and motors. First to arrive was officer Jenny and it seemed like her whole force of police. She walks up to the man and handcuffs him as he tries to whip his Zubat.
Alissa is then met by Officer Jenny and is handed a 1000 Pokedollars. She looks at the money, not seeing that much handed to her ever before. She watches as Alistare lands in front of her. "Good job Alistare!!" she pats him on the head and returns him to his Pokeball. Igni walks up beside her and huffs. "What? You want to go now? Igni, your just eager for a challenge." Finally another sound comes as she is overtaken by Chansey and Nurse Joy.
"Oh the poor Sneasel, we'll get it patched up, good as new," She says as they haul both of the Pokemon away. Alissa smiles at this and turns to Igni almost immediately, "Come on, you and I got to get to Violet City as fast as possible."
