Waiting.
Rhoan had hated waiting for Pokemon to begin with. Her tutor, the Black Shiloh (who had a weird taste for names) had taught her the importance of it though. When it came to Pokemon you couldn't dart for whatever reason, due to their hide, or being made of rock like Rhyhorn (THAT was a story she'd tell around a Rocket campfire one day) waiting and setting traps was the best way. After that, there were a variety of products one could use to take them down. Donning gloves and bursting from the bushes after the Rhyhorn had been stuck in a sticky trap much like this one, Rhoan had used a rag with a sleeping agent. Hopping onto the back of the creature and holding onto it's rocky spines with gloves, Rhoan pressed it to the nose of the creature until it fell asleep. Simple enough, but the gloves had torn through and she'd bled through them. Slipping around on rock wasn't easy, and the fact that the rock was alive and bucking didn't make it any easier.
Rhoan just had to remind herself that she'd done this before with far worse candidates. After all, she was just catching a bird. All she had to do was knock it out - which was easy - and bring it back to the kid waiting for her. As if summoned by her thoughts, she could see the brown Pokemon rustling around in the brush in front of her. It neared the trap with a pure sense of triumph, as if it had outsmarted her. Oh contrary, my dumb little duck. The creature stepped into the sticky trap and couldn't move. Reaver gave a squeak of happiness, and Rhoan jumped from the bushes, wolfish grin on her face. "Haha! Red Tiger still has it." She grinned, watching the Farfetch'd struggle.
"Change of plan, Reaver. I'mma have Hatari fight this bird. I don't want any of his flying moves throwing a wrench in the plans. Besides, she didn't get to play with the Gym Leader, and I figure she's probably disappointed." Reaver didn't make any sounds that resembled anything angry, so Rhoan released the piranha Pokemon into the forest. Hatari hissed and sputtered, doing her best to keep herself upright without water. It was a problem for the fish, so Rhoan shrugged. "Quicker we get this over, quicker you get stronger and we get out of this stupid forest." Hatari clicked her jaws in acknowledgement, and flopped towards the Farfetch'd. When she was close enough, Rhoan gave her the command. "Ice Fang!"

As Farfetch'd desperately tried to get unstuck from the trap Rhoan had laid it laid eyes on her as she approached. The bird proved to be a bit smarter than she had given it credit for however as the bird managed to use the stalk it had been carrying to peel the sticky trap off of it's feet so that it could move at full speed again. The bird looked rather angry as Rhoan sent out a Pokemon since it was not looking for a battle but after the recent events it was not going to turn down a chance to put this trainer in her place. Farfetch'd cawed out in anger as it began to swing it's now web covered leek around violently. As Farfetch'd looked at the Pokemon it would be fighting it honked in laughter. The goose had never seen a fish on dry land before and it was far from intimidated by the looks of the fish and if anything it let it's guard down not thinking the fish would be able to do much. Despite both Pokemon having the same speed Farfetch'd was on a more fitting terrain which allowed it to get the jump on Hatari as the battle got underway. The leek loving bird began to charge at the fish with it's leek pointed forward as if it was going to have a jousting match. It was all a ruse however to get the fish to try to jump the wrong way to avoid the attack. As Hatari looked on Farfetch'd changed the stance of it's leek with blinding speed before the fish had any hope of defending itself. Farfetch'd Slashed the leek across the fishes face before walking back to where it had been standing as the bird began to celebrate. The goose was not paying attention however and Hatari managed to crawl on the ground until she had managed to snake up behind the bird and took a chomp off the bird rear with an Ice Fang attack. The attack was so cold that Farfetch'd became frozen solid unable to do anything at all. As the bird lie frozen on the ground it seemed that Farfetch'd did not have much hope of winning this battle unless it had a sudden change of luck. Farfetch'd Battle
Farfetch'd : | Level 20| Health: 46% (26/57 HP) Status: Frozen BUUURRR!
Rhoan's Hatari: | Level 19 | Health: 18% (9/51 HP) Status: What the hell did you hit me with?
Ooc: This was quite interesting. As long as Farfetch'd does not unfreeze the next turn you will take it out even with a minimal damage roll. What is even funnier is they both have the same speed.

Farfetch'd was smart enough to get itself unstuck before the battle at least. Rhoan didn't mind; it made things more interesting in the long run. Hatari didn't mind either, considering she was out of the Pokeball and in a battle. The chomper liked nipping, and the bird would be tasty for sure. What Rhoan wasn't aware of was the sheer power the bird posessed. As dumb as they looked, Rhoan didn't expect much of a fight. Hatari didn't either, which meant that both were totally in the dark when the battle began.
"Come on over here and let me get a taste, ndege!" Hatari chomped her jaws together in an intimidating fashion. Well, as much as she could manage while flopping around. "I'm gonna be plucking your feathers out of my teeth by the time we're finished, birdy bird." Incapable of even saying Farfetch'd correctly, Hatari just stuck to a derogatory sounding phrase, such as birdy bird, or bird in her native tongue, ndege. "Here birdy birdy birdy...." All of the taunting seemed to do it's job as the Farfetch'd lurched forward to attack with it's leek. "Hmph, you're gonna hit me with that? Poor ndege, this'll be over before it even starte-"
Hatari winced and gasped out from the pain, looking much like a fish out of water at this point. Her jaws opened and shut as she breathed deeply, ice beginning to form at the corners of her teeth. "Now... Now you've done it ndege!" She snarled, recovering as quick as she could to chomp the bird. It was turned away from her, and the only place she could bite was it's rear, but it did the job well enough. Farfetch'd had definitely felt that, although it's first attack seemed to do Hatari in, practically. "What did he even hit you with?" Rhoan called out. Hatari flopped around to face Rhoan and gave the best expression the fish could manage that resembled confusion. The fish didn't know.
When Hatari flopped to turn back around, she could see the bird once more, but it wasn't moving. The Ice was slowly creeping up it's body, until it had practically frozen over. With a thud, the Pokemon fell to the ground, feature's unmoving. "Hah! That's what you get, birdy bird. You mess with Hatari, and you end up wafu nayama." Hatari hissed, glowering at the frozen bird. "You know what to do with it. Ice Fang. Just... don't eat it. Knock it out. We have to actually turn this bird back into it's trainer." Rhoan warned. Hatari whined and flopped a few times. "Fine. Face my barafu you nayama."
(OOC: Marchbaby, I kinda wanna see the screenshot of that, my calc must be all sorts of wrong then, that damage looks crazy for only being a level above me. I assume it was a Fury Cutter or Cut? Might be beneficial to write the attacks executed in the text or mod area. Also, Hatari has rough skin, so if it was a physical attack, it'd get hurt as well.)

The Farfetch'd stood no chance at this point. The previous attack by Hatari had rendered it completely useless, it's feathered body becoming unable to move as a powerful frost covered it's body, growing into a wad of ice which froze the Pokemon in place. No longer could it stick up for itself by flinging around it's strangely powerful leek, dodge for cover or even blink it's eyes. It was entirely encased in ice and if they didn't act quickly, the Farfetch'd could step the boundary of being damaged to something a bit more irreversible, leading to a very angry Sylvester and family. On Rhoan's order, the Carvanha weaved forward with her rough skinned body, approaching the Farfetch'd with a vicious stare before using her icicle laced fangs. This time to try and free the bird from it's frozen prison. With a mighty chomp, the ice that had trapped the Farfetch'd began to crack and break away. With it, the Farfetch'd fell free but also looked lifeless and unable to battle. If touched, the avian was still just about alive, it's heart beating against it's icy cold chest of feathers.
Wild Pokemon Battle
Farfetch'd: | Level 20 | Health: 0% ( 0/57 HP) Status: Frozen Farfetch'd fainted!
VS
Hatari: | Level 19 | Health: 18% (9/51 HP) Status: Normal Hatari used Ice Fang!
Congratulations! The first Farfetch'd has been defeated! Search for the second and then take them both to Sylvester!Hatari gained 3 levels and grew to Level 22! Hatari is able to learn the move Swagger! Forget a move? Ice Fang, Bite, Rage, Screech+1 Happiness
Morri OOC: I am guessing that the move is Slash and here is my calculator screenshot: click. I thought it looked like crazy damage too so I checked it myself but I am pretty sure he is right and am guessing it's just the stab bonus.
