I just came across a video of this a moment ago of some guy trying to play it and it looked incredibly frustrating but funny nonetheless due to all of the guy's reactions to what Pikachu was wrongly doing. I myself never played the game but I was curious as if to anyone else had? So, any takers? I can imagine back in the day the voice recognition technologies weren't anything amazing and accents posed a huge problem.

:/
That glorified rant away, I thought the game was decent for a kid. Although I was stuck for thirty minutes saying, "Hi" when it was looking for, "Hello" the rest of the game went pretty smoothly. Of course the words that could be understood were rigid, but they worked. You just had to be able to read, and naturally not speak too close to the mic. I enjoyed the game and spent most of my Summer just redoing alot of the levels.

:/ That glorified rant away Bite me. That game was terrible, great idea just a few generations to early. Voice controls were sketchy at best, the first couple of hours my friends and I tried to play the game Pikachu only listened to approximately 45% of the time, it was also terribly boring. BUT HEY thats why you have different opinions

NOM NOM NOM >:3
Hm, but yeah, at first I had a bit of technical difficulties but after the first hour everything went smooth. Maybe you just got the short end of the stick, or you guys have accents?

SPEAKING THE QUEEN'S ENGLISH SHOULD BE MANDATORY! And because this game did not recognise the one true English speaking accent, it is void! ...Just kidding. The thing is, we ALL have accents regardless so I guess that why the majority of people dislike this game; or in Phoenix's case, loathes the game. I would like to give the game a shot though however just to confirm that i'd be incompatible with it.

...Why did I read your posts with those Phoenix Wright surprise snap sound effects after the end of every DANCE? So how long was the game itself? I never really understood the point of the game as if it were set in stages or open ended.

Umm... I think the plot of the game was that Prof. Oak was doing some kind of experiment of human and Pokemon interaction and he contacted you. And magically, a Pikachu just appeared nearby and so he evaluated your friendship with the Pikachu over time and stuff. You then had to do some things on certain days, catch certain TV programs and quizzes... collect certain items... fish certain Pokemon... buy stuff in a store and make the largest *****ing Oddish you could. The game ends when the time comes that you release Pikachu back into the wild, then the credits played and they play a really sad and pretty song. Then the credits end and Pikachu comes home.

T-T-That was beautiful... But only if it were a Koffing instead. ;D
I'm sorely tempted to hunt this down and play it. I still have a working N64 thank all that is holy.

It was an odd, but fun game.
Oh, and when Pikachu comes home, first thing he does is Thunderbolt you. I was watching a video on it the other day and the person was doing audio commentary as well. First thing he said when he was about to walk back into his house and then Pikachu thunderbolted him, he said "*****ER!"

Rofl. I loved Hey You pikachu. <33 Probably because I'm an easily amused little child. I'm gonna go dig it out of the basement and play it again. :'3 Thank you for reminding me about it.

I'm surprised so many people have played and owned this game. I was always under the impression that this was severely overlooked by the general populace but ehh... Maybe it has something to do with the fact this forum attracts the most hardcore of Pokemaniacs.

Lol I remember playing it at a friend's house once. xD I totally was fed up with it not understanding the fact I can't pronounce DODRIO and DUGTRIO any differently. rofl. It was cute though, I'll give people that. x3
