Being a Pokemon trainer can be tough, no matter how old the person was. For Astrid, she had to correct her children Pokemon when they were unintentionally starting a fight with some wild Pokemon. After the fair woman changed her clothes into something more fitting for the weather, Astrid and her Pokemn began roaming the streets to explore the people and Pokemon in the streets. Some of the wild Pokemon were running the other way or hiding after seeing Astrid and her Pokemon, but one such Pokemon was particularly bold. Perching on a clothing rack that was outside a clothing shop, the jaded Taillow walked and hopped between the racks of clothes, trying to see which color would matched the feathers better. It even poked some of the fabric to get a better look of the clothing. Was the shop owner even here? Do they even mind the Taillow's beak touching the clothes. One would suppose as long as the Taillow don't poop on it, as the flock of Cherrygrove Taillows had learned a hard lesson so many years ago, that whatever they do, they shouldn't eat or poop on human things, or someone would send the wrath of some slightly powerful enough Pokemon after their way! The Taillow saw Astrid for a second, paused, and then resumed examining the fabric. hmm... Jade or celery green, or lime green? Which fabric looked better?
A (Level 9) Taillow appeared!

Rattata didn't run very far, and he stopped behind the nearest corner to look back at "his" trainer and her pokemon. He wasn't sure what he thought about her really, though he was pleased with that she had scolded her pokemon for what they had did, which they had deserved. Them he didn't like, that was for sure. That he had to deal with them and the woman at some point, now he had been captured, was a thing he pushed away to take care of later, right now he had something much more important task. His friend hadn't been treated very well and he knew how little snow was liked, so he needed to be sure his friend was ok. As soon as Astrid and co. was out of sight he hurried back to where the battle had happened and looked for clues since he couldn't see his friend at first glance.
Astrid's pokemon relaxed a bit when her mood changed to the better, though Ella still didn't agreed and hadn't forgiven her yet. Astrid herself didn't have any grudges, in her mind they were still like children and like children they made mistakes which she had to correct. She was certain that they had listened and wouldn't do something like that again when she had made it clear, she didn't tolerate it. They had done as she had told them and talked with their victim and some of them had looked like they had apologised like she had wanted them to. She just had to hope the rest had too.
Astrid enjoyed the relative calm of the little city, calm in that way that she didn't expect she would ahve to be alert for wild pokemon all the time. She strolled slowly down the street looking at shop windows, feeling warm and content. As she looked at a rack in front of a clothing store, she saw a pokemon sitting on top of it, and she frowned. She knew how pokemon could make things pretty filthy and she didn't wanted to see the taillow destroy such fine wares that was for sale. "Shu! Get away from there!" Astrid called out to the taillow and waves her walking cane at it. As this made her get too close to it for Yakul's taste, the skiddo jumped forward to chase it away. Astrid didn't get time to even notice what was going on, before Placido had pushed the youngling out of the way and shouted at the taillow to get its attention.

As the Taillow was quite curious as to why there were different colored clothes in a similar color to it's feathers. The bird was used to seeing clothes shops but there were a lot of green clothes some of which came pretty close to matching it's unique coloration which the bird had become attracted to. It did not even know Astrid's Pokemon were ready to strike. Instead of showing any worry at all Taillow started to flex it's wings in front of the shirts not only trying to find the perfect match but also to get itself pumped just in case the human chose to battle. Feeling as mighty as ever the bird turned it's head just enough to see Placido standing there. As there was no choice but to battle now Taillow chose to act all cute hoping it would be shown some mercy. As it released a sweet growl from it's beak the small rabbit felt a bit sorry for the bird. Sure it should not have been near a humans property without permission but it was just clearly curious. Still the normal type Pokemon had to do something to get the bird to back off a bit. Letting out a series of vocal patterns Placido nearly caused Taillow to go deaf as the horrible sounds bounced off any solid object in the vicinity. It's ears rung for a good minute or two after the attack before hearing was restored to a normal level along with a headache. The shiny Taillow was now flapping it's wings to maintain height and avoid touching the ground all together. The human did not own the sky so she had no right to complain if all it did was watch. The bird was still a bit angered by the painful headache it had acquired from the small rabbit however and it prepared to get a bit of revenge in the next round. Rattata got worried when he could find no signs of his friend and he had become pretty good at recognizing the tracks of the spearow. It wasn't the first time they had been apart and he had had to search all over the area to find the other one again, which could be quite a challenge due to its wings. What he feared was that someone trainer had taken advantage of the battle and had captured his fainted friend, while it had been defenseless, and he glanced through the doors to the Pokemoncenter, but could of course not see it. Movement made him run and hide behind a trashcan. "We're at the PokemonCenter now Spearow, don't you worry," the young boy who was walking into the center said to a pokeball in his hands. Rattata sneaked back to the door and watched the boy hand over the pokeball to the pink haried woman who was always there, and she took it out of sight. Rattata decided he had to check their usually spots to hang out and he raced off. He was quick he may be back before the nurse was done and he could then get a chance to see if it was his friend or not.
Yakul shook her head and got back on her feet again. She looked around and still found the taillow too close to Astrid, who hadn't stepped back from where she had been before, and now the taillow was in the air and looked even more threatening. She jumped forward. Astrid barely noticed that Yakul was moving forward towards the taillow again, before Placido reacted. He cleared his throat and started loudly on a ballad about lost love, which took the skiddo bu surprised. She stopped stumbling and stared at the singing whismur, her ears pointing directly at him as this was something completely new to her. Astrid on the other hand, had to cover her ears. It wasn't like it sounded badly, it was just so freaking loud and hse was afraid to get her hearing damaged. She shouted to him to stop or at least quiet down, but was drowned out by his singing. Ella, Cyan and Janus was quick to retreat to a safe distance far away from the whismur, whose volume now was quite different from the murmurs he usually spoke with. (ooc: I guess the -1 att should be removed from Placido since soundproof makes him imune to growl, I know it is noted as not working, so it is more just to avoid future misunderstandings

Taillow had to stay focused if it wanted to win this battle. Placido had already caused it more damage than it had taken in a long time and as the rabbit's voice grew louder the bird knew the next attack would cause even more. Taillow was a lot faster than the rabbit and it also had pumped itself up which gave it a nice boost in energy which it needed to overcome the horrible noise and attack. The pure adrenaline it was running on gave the bird an incredible burst of speed and power as it took off to make a strike at the normal type. The Quick Attack it had lined up had big intentions as the flying type flew even faster than normal out of fear for it's safety. As Taillow slammed into Placido it scored a critical hit thanks to it's energy being focused to since a fine degree. Instead of getting the normal type to quiet down however the attack caused the rabbit to try even harder. The already horrible voice had doubled in volume by now and as the shock wave slammed into Taillow it's eardrums throbbed in pain. The first salvo was a terrible experience but this one was pure torture as it lie on the ground just begging for the horrible noise to come to an end. Given how powerful the attack had become Taillow was unsure it could last another round without having it's eardrums burst from such a horrifying racket. Slowly getting off of the ground it chirped in desperation to mask the noise. Even with all of it's strength Taillow could not even cause the sound to slightly tone down as the young rabbit Pokemon continued to unleash it's deafening attack. The bird had a lot of work cut out for it but this next round it was going to try anything to bring the battle to a close before all hope was lost. Wild Pokemon BattleShiny Taillow|level 9| HP: 10/28 (35%)Status: Normal ( Critical Hit Ratio +2) Used Quick Attack (Critical hit)Somebody shut that rabbit up! Rattata raced the city around and checked every spot he and Spearow usually hung out and called hopefully for his friend, but as he got no respones his hope dropped and with it his mood as well. He was gasping for his breath when he returned to the Pokemon Center, and dread filled him as the boy was nowhere to be seen, when he glanced in through the glassdoors. A young voice behind him and a cardoor that slammed shut, made him spin around just to see the boy he was looking for inside a car with what had to be his parents. The boy was sitting with a spearow on his lap, who looked very familiar and Rattata raced after it, but soon had to give up as it drove too fast. Just as he stopped the car turned a corner and Rattata saw the recognizion in the birds eyes, then it was gone and Rattata was left behind.
As Placido started to show what his voice was cabable of, Yakul bleated plaintive as it started to hurt her ears, even though she was not the target for his singing. Her cry was of course drowned out by him as well, and he was not even singing on the top of his lungs yet! Yakul retreated back to the others who was trying to keep a safe distance from the whismur while still being able to keep an eye on them and not leaving Astrid alone. Placido only had his eyes on the taillow and he could feel how his voice was getting worked up. He would need it as he had to get it down as fast as possible, he knew he wouldn't survive another strike as the one it had already hit him with. It had almost left him breathless.
Astrid had both her fingers in her ears as she watched the young skiddo run away. She followed her with her eyes and saw how long away the rest of her pokemon were and she groaned. She could have recalled Placido and sent one of the other in instead, but now it would just leave her to face the taillow all on her own, and it was surely not in a good mood with how it had been treated. That left her with only one option and she only needed a moment to pull herself together to do it. She grimaced as she removed her fingers from her ears and they got blasted by the high volume again, but she had to use her hands. She quickly rummaged through her trolley bag to find a pokeball, which she would attempt to throw at the taillow as soon as it got a bit closer, or would stay still for long enough time for her to aim properly. She didn't have any hopes of hitting it midair, unless it was a still target, and she only had one chance.
(ooc: throw a pokeball in the hope of catching taillow)

As Astrid had tried to throw a Pokeball at the jade colored Taillow, the flying type had no idea what hit it until it was warped into the inside of the Pokeball. The bird struggled a bit inside the capture device, as it did not planned for this to happen. It didn't even remember that humans have these things to capture Pokemon until now, as it was too accustomed to human textile and bakery. The Pokeball rocked to the left once. The Pokeball rocked to the right once. POP! Whoops! The Taillow wasn't prepared to be captured by this human and her loud Pokemon yet. Enraged by the sudden capture, the Taillow flew forward and attacked the Whismur with its sharp beak. The beak attack was strong enough to push Placido backward, as well as blacking it out. Darn! Perhaps capturing this Pokemon wasn't as easy as it had looked. The Taillow cawed, and eyed the human with a dead serious look, wondering what she would do now.

Rattata hurried to the corner and stared after the car, as it disappeared down the road. he sat down crestfallen as he hadn't got to say goodbuy to his good friend, though he at least know what have happened, and where it was. He hoped they both had got good trainers who would treat them decently, thouhg he found it sad that it would happen this way, now they had managed to either beat challenging trainers or at least run away before being captured. Rattata trudged slowly back to the Pokemon center, where he laid down and waited for his trainer to arrive.
Astrid was baffled when her throw of the pokeball actually hit its target and sucked in the taillow, and she sighed relieved when it dumped back down on the ground. Now Placido either would notice and stop singing, or she could safely recall him and the rest of her pokemon would return to her again, and then she could decide what... She hesitated and looked closer at the pokeball, still with her fingers in the ears, and tried to remember something she had been told. Hadn't there been something about the pokeball moving like that? What did it mean? As the taillow popped out and slammed its head down at Placido, Astrid got her answer. It meant that the pokemon hadn't been captured. A bittersweet silence fell over the area as Placido finally shut his mouth, but left Astrid to face the angry taillow on her own. Suddenly a weak bolt of lightning zapped past her towards the flying type. Janus had caught a ride on Astrid's trolley as usual and had hid inside when Placido had started his koncert. Now he had appeared back up and tried to slow down the taillow by hitting it with a Thunder wave, which they apparently didn't like, those feather covered pokemon. Astrid laid a hand on Placido and recalled him with a grimace. She wasn't doing very well, ending in battles all the time with her pokemon fainting. She still had a lot to learn, that was for sure. She glanced back to see if the others were coming returning, but quickly started to look through the trolley to find another pokeball to throw if she got the chance. (ooc: Janus in and uses Thunder Wave. I don't expect to be alloved to do it, but if it is possible, Astrid is attempting to get a chance to throw another pokeball )

Flapping it's wings frequently to keep itself midair, the tight space of the shop wasn't exactly practical for battling, let alone having Pokeballs thrown at it. Sharp eyes glaring down at the elderly human, the emerald green bird had managed to rid itself of the pesky opponent with the loud voice but there was no telling if the woman was going to give up just because of that. The Taillow had watched over humans in the past and it knew what they were capable of, it certainly wasn't the type to simply be captured and travel along with them without a fight. Watching carefully as to how she would deal with her fallen comrade, the eyes of the avian spotted a sudden movement. Had his body not been a bright yellow hue, the Taillow would've been hit for certain.
Swooping to one side to avoid the electrical spark, the Taillow manoeuvred it what little space it had before aiming for Janus. Without the human's order, it had stepped up to replace Placido and that just meant the Taillow now had it's next target. Thinning it's wings, the Taillow flew straight for the tiny Joltik with incredible speed, striking his tiny body with a Quick Attack before moving back up and above the clothing racks. Luckily, Janus had managed to dodge that sharp beak and immediately flipped back up onto his little legs. Enraged with what the wild bird had done to Placido, the Joltik focused and sent forth another scatter of sparks. Hitting the Taillow successfully this time, who had been too busy dodging the obstacles of the shop, the bird fell to the ground paralysed.
Her hand moving amongst the contents of the trolley, Astrid lifted another Pokeball to try her luck once more. With a simple throw, the homing device built into the capturing object kicked in and soon enough, the red and white orb aimed straight for the wild avian. Unaware that another Pokeball had been thrown it's way, the Taillow had no way of dodging and was instead drawn in side. Once again, the ball began to shake on the spot, only this time with the help of paralysis, she had been successful.
WIGGLE. WIGGLE. WIGGLE. . . . TING!

As Placido was recalled, and the bird disappeared into his new home, the pokeball, silence fell over the area and both Janus and Astrid had it like tey woke up from a dream. Janus blinked several times as the rage vaporated from his mind and he was confused what it exactly was he had felt and reacted on so violently. He had sometimes felt annoyed if Astrid's grandchildren had teased him, but he had never felt so angry like this before. He looked back at Astrid and felt happy and quiet proud he had successfully protected her, though she looked a bit beside herself, she was safe. He decided his anger had probably been spawn by her being threatened, and that he was angry it had knocked out Placido who had been her only defense at that point. Who knew what such a beak-bearing pokemon could happen to do? He knew instinctively that he couldn't trust them, so he asumed others couldn't either. Astrid didn't dare to believe that the pokeball had worked before it gave the confirming ping and it turned small. She sighed in the silence that followed and felt exhausted from all the excitement. She laid a hand on her heart and concentrated on her breathing for a while to slow it down, she couldn't remember when she last time had experienced this much. Yet another thing she couldn't remember... She sighed and stared at the taillows pokeball, which still laid on the ground, while she thought about her faillures. Her pokemon had engaged in a battle without her knowledge or acceptance and in two battles in a row, one of her pokemon had fainted. It was not good, it was not good at all. Did it mean that she was too old for this? She had thought it had been so easy and relaxing when she had left New Bark Town, and her only worry had been for the weather and the kids safety. Astrid looked surprised down as something nudged her leg. Yakul stood beisde her and looked quiestioningly at her and bleated, though Astrid couldn't hear it very well as her ears were still affected by Placido's singing. She struggled back on her feet and bowed down to take the pokeball. She frowned confused when it didn't wanted to grow big and open. Was it broke? Suddenly it hit her, this was her seventh pokemon! The rattata! She had forgot everything about it, where was it now? A part of her thought that it hadn't been hers anymore now it had left her, but apparently it wasn't as easy as that. She picked up her trolley and made sure all her pokemon were present, before she headed back towards the Pokemon Center. She wasn't as fast as she used to be, mostly because she had going around at home doing nothing important and her brain wasn't used to quick thinking and to make important decissions. She needed a bit of calm and quietness to think things over. As they reached the Pokemon Center, they were greeted by the freesing and depressed rattata, who had been waiting for them for a while. Astrid quickly called him into his pokeball as well, and hurried into Nurse Joy, smiling grimly at the thought of her acting like thousands of other trainers who had came through these doors. -------- TaillowName: Alfred Gender: Male Level: 9 Attacks: Peck, Growl, Focus Energy, Quick Attack Ability: Guts Nature/Personality: Calm.
