Once… … CRACK! The ball flew back open, releasing the imposter kitty onto the battlefield once more. This Ditto was proving to be quite the pain in the neck to catch. Ethan still had a few Pokéballs left, but he might need a plan B in order to get this next Ditto to stay caught. And to make matters a little worse, the mimic could now fight back against its oppressors. Taking on the form of Felime, it had access to all of her moves. It just had to get familiar with them as quickly as it could. That was the only issue here. The wind rustled through the grass beneath everyone’s feet as the now-useless Pokéball fell to the floor in two distinct halves. Ditto thought through its new repertoire of moves carefully, taking its time to act. Eventually, it made its decision and closed the gap as quickly as its new legs could take it. Pulling one arm back, it swiftly slashed across Felime’s face with a Scratch attack, leaving a red mark across the feline’s beautiful features. It then leered at Ethan, as if expecting another Pokéball to come at it. It was as ready as it could be for what was to come. Wild Battle

OOC: switch to Cottonee and use Stun Spore
After testing that two Pokeballs weren't enough for his luck, Ethan shook his head at his rotten luck. While he was trying to be lazy and hoping to bet his luck to catch the ditto with just two Pokeballs, the plan flopped and now he would have to go back to the previous tactic: He would have to paralyze this ditto like he did with the last one.
Thanking his Meowth for the help, the young trainer returned the normal type Pokemon, and then sent out Weecot once more back into the field. The energetic grass type saw the imposter Meowth's face, and quickly made the judgment that it was probably a wild one anyways. Well, a wild Ditto blob. "Weecot, use Stun Spore on this Meowth please!" He hollered with a hurried tone. Just one more Ditto, right? Hopefully this time it will be weakened enough for capture.

The Meowth...erm...Ditto tilted it's head as Ethan returned his Meowth and sent out a Cottonee. The ditto wondered what Ethan was up to now but decided to take this chance to attack. The ditto began to run at Weecot before jumping and Scratching the poor Cottonee. Weecot managed to handle to attack before proceeding to scatter yellow powder around the close Ditto which unluckily for the ditto it couldn't get away from. The Ditto had no clue what this meant for the future but went ahead with attacking with the same attack again before Ethan tried to throw another red and white ball at it. The Ditto charged again and jumped before scratching again but once again Weecot managed to take the hit and stay in the air. Weecot now awaited to hear Ethan's voice again for a command to either attack or stay put. Battle

The opponent Ditto tilted its head as it watched Ethan switched Pokemon, he wondered if this could be his chance since this Ditto looked a little bit of not sure what he was doing. After watching the Cottonee layer the fake Meowth with a cloud of Stun Spore, the young trainer was ready again to toss some Pokeballs toward the Meowth. This time, he was really hoping that one would do it, like the ditto earlier that he had just caught.
Thanking his Pokemon's help, he calmly stepped forward with another capture device on his hand, and then aimed toward the Meowth and then tossed the capture device. He then waited anxiously for the couple of seconds that passed by as the ball flew forward, absorbed the Pokeball, and wobble on the ground. He wondered what the result would be.

This cheeky Ditto was proving quite the difficult sod to capture. The fake feline smirked, admiring its new figure and fully appreciating the power it had taken on. It looked really pleased with itself, and so it probably should. After all, it had taken almost no time to get used to running around as a cat, hacking and slashing away at its opponents. Not to mention the fact that it was consistently evading capture. Ethan continued to try his best to catch the copycat, and now that it was paralysed this dream would be closer than ever. That is, if he ever got a bit of luck swinging his way. All he and his Pokémon could do now was wait and hurl balls until one stuck. One more Pokéball was tossed Ditto’s way; it really was becoming quite routine for Ethan by this point. The Ditto didn’t even try to dodge this time, as it knew perfectly well that it was probably going to break out this time as well. Pfeh. Humans. What can they do to the almighty Ditto? The ball trapped its target and began to wiggle. Once… CRACK!Almost unsurprisingly, the ball’s top half flew off its hinges and released the Ditto back onto the battlefield. Ditto’s smirk widened as it extended its claws again. Time to hurt some cloudplants. The agile little cat darted across the grass, wind rushing through its newly grown fur as it pulled one arm up into the air. Upon approaching Weecot, the Ditto slashed its claws across the Grass type’s face, eliciting a small shriek from him. The Cottonee was not going to last too much longer, it seemed. Ditto was doing quite well for itself right now, wasting ball after ball from its suitor. Wild Battle

The Ditto seemed to gained a bit of confidence, after bursting a few of Ethan's Pokeballs and then attacking Weecot with a grin on its face. Heck, it didn't even evading the ball or something. The Ditto also struck his Cottonee again, and the grass type was beginning to pant heavily to signal that he was getting tired.
Now if only the Ditto gets captured, then he could get out of here.
Cheering his Cottonee and telling the grass type to hang in there again, the young trainer tossed out yet another Pokeball this time, and then stepped back and tossed it toward his opponent, wishing for another capture. For a Ditto paralyzed by Stun Spore and brought to low health earlier, it was still resisting the capture. He was probably so close to capturing it!

Ditto didn't even bother moving out of the path of the ball as it flew towards the sly mon. It became evident why as the ball almost nearly exploded away from the grinning not-Meowth. Brandishing its claws again, the Ditto charged at Cottonee before suddenly tripping over its feet. At first, it appeared as though it had just tripped, not used to the body. But the twitching in its feet signaled that the Stun Spore was working its magic, keeping the Ditto down. It began to force itself back up to its feet, still staring at Ethan in a mixture of defiance and pride. It was just a matter of time, to the Ditto, before it would take down the floating ball of fluff in front of it. Wild Battle

OOC: ANOTHER BALL
As the battle continued and the rare Ditto resisted his attempt to capture, Ethan was not hesitant to dig his bag for another Pokeball and then lob it at the normal type. Quickly repeating the steps before, he told his Pokemon to hang in there while he toss out his Pokeball toward the smug little blob of Ditto. Sooner or later, the normal type would be captured despite how long it had been resisting him. After the ball was thrown into the air, he wiped sweat off of his forehead and snacked on another bag of snack to keep him from being hungry. He watched as the capture device absorbed the Ditto for yet another time and wobbled on the ground.

The ditto stood waiting for the trainers move and smirked heavily when it saw Ethan grab other Pokeball. The Ditto respected this trainers will to keep doing the same thing over and over again. So the Ditto waited for the ball to be throw the red light to engulf it once again. Maybe this time would be the one?
One... TWo... SNAP Oh dear... Dittos smug grin remained as he broke free from its ball. But it take him longer this time. Maybe just maybe he was showing sign of weakness. The not-so-Meowth ran forward towards Weecot biting it's head before running back to it's spot on the field. Curse this ditto! Battle

As the battle dragged on, the only thing that will end this battle would be either the Ditto fainted, Ethan captured the DItto, or he flees the battle. Seeing how only one option would make sense at the moment, he hastily dug his bag for another Pokeball and told his Cottonee to hang in there. He have probably tossed three Pokeballs so far as he saw in the field. Big red and white balls that were broken in some ways. Taking a few steps back, he tossed yet another sphere at the opponent again, hoping to capture the DItto for the fourth time.

The ditto rolled it's eyes in annoyance, yet again other Pokeball came flying at it's face. The battle field was littered with broken balls at this point and Weecot's health was slowly being knocked down. The fake meowith flew at Weecot with his claws primed to slash again. But the ball opened and took the ditto inside once again.

OOC: summon aipom, Charmaleon dragon rage that baby OKAY ONE LAST POKEMON FOR Blaze I think?
I spent 4 pages RP-ing about rambling the long walk from Ilex forest, so i thought i'll close this by having another pokemon on the outskirt of the city.
With the area littered with broken Pokeballs, Ethan was finally relieved that the reluctant blob Pokemon was captured. He thanked his Pokemon once again for their health, and then picked up the sealed Pokeball, pocketing until he would reach the Goldenrod City. After walking for another five minutes, he could finally see himself inside the city. With his back facing the route and Ilex Forest behind him, there would be time for him to rest.
However, this wasn't any city like the ones he had been to before. This one was quite a big one. He could see so many tall buildings from far ahead, and even some of the advertisement signs from the downtown area. What he stepped into was just the suburb or the outskirt of the city. He continued until he heard some rustling sound around the plants placed in the city, like those trees or bushes along the sidewalk. The city was likely big enough to house different kinds o pokemon for the smart and adaptive Pokemon that LIKE to live in the city. He wondered what would pop up next. In case something popped up before he got to Pokemon Center, he sent out his Dynner to deal with whatever.

A wild Aipom (Level 15) has appeared! ____________________________ Finally stepping off the beaten path and into the streets of Goldenrod City itself, Ethan had left the wilderness for paved streets and towering buildings. It was strange to think that just an arms throw away was a dense forest but atleast he was in a place where he could rest properly. A nice meal, a pillow to lay his head, entertainment in every corner, Goldenrod City held everything and more. But still, whilst Ethan and his Charmeleon waltzed through the suburbs, danger lurked. Such a large city held its fair share of hiding places for both people and Pokemon alike; he wasn't safe just yet. Hidden within the branches of a tree, a sneaky Pokemon lurked, it's odd hand like tail waiting for just the right moment before swinging from the branch and landing smack bang in the middle of Ethan's path. Looking up with a smirk, the cheeky purple monkey was none other than an Aipom.
A rare sight in these parts, Aipom were known to remain hidden in treats, the occasional headbutt or honey luring them out. But this one had jumped out of it's own accord. Swaying on the spot as if ready for battle, Dynner grunted and took a lone stomp forward. The trainer and his Pokemon had experienced more than enough battles today, so it was easiest to just get this over with. Parting his jaw, the flaming tailed lizard released a burst of blue flames, which cloaked the body of the tiny chimp. Shrieking from the pain, the Aipom rolled it's way out of the flames, fanning its singed fur down before glaring at the Charmeleon. Turning, the Aipom lifted a handful of dust and dirt from nearby, throwing it in Dynner's face. That would teach him for trying to cook it alive!

switch to cottonee and paralyze
Catching and battling Pokemon ever since he got out of Ilex Forest, Ethan was a bit tired of battling another one. Subconsciously resuming his routine, he thanked his Charmeleon and then sent out his trusty Cottonee, who knew what trick to do already before he said a word. Seeing an unfamiliar Aipom, the fairy Pokemon hopped forward and grinned, while bouncing up and down to shake a cloud of yellow pollen across the field. The Aipom looked energetic and playful, but if his Stun Spore worked, then the normal monkey won't be moving much anymore. Spending no time to think, he figured that the Aipo was probably something rare or unique as well. He dug through his bag to get an empty Pokeball ready, so that once he confirmed the paralysis was set, then he'll capture that purple runt.

Hopping between it's feet, the small Aipom certainly had a cheeky aura to it. The small monkey like Pokemon wore a child like grin and it's sneaky tactics of battle linked directly to it's naughty nature and personality. Rubbing the sand which had now settled in his eyes, Dynner was called out of battle as Ethan continued with his own strategy. Guessing that the Aipom was an unusual sight, the only logical and natural thing to do was try and capture one. To do that, he needed to take the wild Pokemon down a peg or two and chip away at the seemingly unending amounts of energy it possessed. To do that, he needed to help from another trusty Pokemon of his. Appearing with a flash of light was a Cottonee, who was playful and cheeky in his own way. Floating on the gentle breeze, the wild Aipom took in the appearance of it's new opponent but wasn't entirely fazed.
Hopping forward, the Aipom used it's spare hand to lunge forward at Weecot and begin a tickle assault. Even those who weren't ticklish could fall into a laughing fit when this attack was used. Wriggling about to try and free himself, Weecot giggle uncomfortably at the tickle but the more his body tried to jerk away, the more pollen he eventually released. The yellow spores clung to the body of the Aipom until the monkey found itself unable to tickle anymore. The feeling of paralysis wash over it like a tidal wave and in order to push Weecot away from it, the Aipom lashed out with a scratch attack.
