Whoosh.went the doors from the Pokemon Center in Cherrygrove as a young female with strawberry ready locks pulled up in a ponytail with a Pidgey on her right shoulder and a Wartortle bumbling after her steps out of the doors and into the crisp fall sunlight in Johto. "Alright guys, time to get back on our journey! We had plenty of time to relax with Mom and Dad back home in Mossdeep but it's time to get back to business." The young trainer had burnt herself out after her first couple of cities and ended up returning home to relax and regather herself before continuing on. Feeling better than ever about the journey the young team would take from there.
On the journey from Cherrygrove to Violet was pretty uneventful, the small team soon saw the town of Violet City in the horizon and the team excited hastily made their journey to the town. Perdu, her Pidgey, refused to leave her shoulder and in his excitement kept buffeting her face with his wings "PERDU! Will you cut that out, or at least find a perch where I don't get feather's in my mouth!" She remarked to him as she picked feathers out of her mouth.
"You know she hate's when you do that" Corla remarked to the Pidgey, "Well maybe I'll just sit on your head if you're going to make such remarks!" Perdu squaked back as he took off from Megan's shoulder buffeting her face one more time and went to sit on the female Wartortle's head perching there with pride "Oh real mature..." she remarked with annoyance "Heh"
Megan looked back and chuckled at the sight of the two of them, her first two pokemon who always quarreled like siblings. And that's how the little team walked into Violet City together.

As Megan and he team took their first steps into Violet City the bickering between her Pokemon was the only thing exciting to happen at least at first however it was not long before more activity made things a bit more interesting. As they came closer to the center of town the sound of something bouncing off of the sidewalk caught her attention. As she looked for the source of the noise a Azurill was bouncing up and down on the sidewalk near an alleyway looking for someone or something to test out it's strength. The young Pokemon had not been in the city for a long time and it had no idea where it could go to test out it's abilities. Upon seeing Megan however it was quick to hop towards her hoping she would let it battle her Pokemon. As it bounced across the street using it's tail a small crowd began to form around them. Things had been pretty quiet lately so whenever there was a battle on the street people would usually form hoping to be entertained by a battle. As the gym was the only other area battles occurred in and things there had been quiet lately this was the most exciting thing to happen in the town in a short while. Azurill was a bit uneasy about the large crowd it's challenge had drawn as it was a uncommon Pokemon in the city and if Megan did not try to capture it one of the bystanders would more than likely try to do so. Before the crowd could get out of hand Azurill closed the gap between itself and Megan hoping she would accept it's challenge soon before the crowd tried to throw a swarm of Pokeball's at it. Keeping a watchful eye on the crowd as it continued to bounce on it's tail the young Pokemon waited on Megan to make a move. If there was one thing it had learn in it's short time it it was that seeing what your opponent had planned before making a move was usually a good option until you were sure your opponent had not tricks up it's sleeve. A wild Azurill (Level 10) challenges you to a battle. Please select a Pokemon.

Perdu had nestled himself on Corla's head, not only making it look like she had a nest on top of her head, but a feathery hat. As the small team wandered closer to the center of town a little blue bouncing form caught Mega's attention. I looked closer to the sound of the noise and it was a little bouncing Azurill, it seemed pretty spirited and ready to show it's strength. When Megan and the little blue water mouse made eye contact the pokemon hopped over seeming expectant of a battle.
A small crowd began to form around the two. Megan looked around and then to her partners. Megan already had an Azurill so she didn't even worry about pulling out her pokedex to collect the information. She knew that the pokemon were getting stronger and she still had some on her team she needed to level up. Hoping that this would help she grabbed for one of the pokeballs on her hip, enlarged it and there it out "Okay Lilly let's get you some battle experience!" she said as she tossed the pokeball out and in a flash of red light a Lillipup materialized in front of her. Megan petted Perdu, "You'll get your turn next" she said trying to calm him, she knew he was anxious to get to real battles again.
Lilly was so excited to be out of that cramped space that she ran around a little wildly, running up to strangers in the crowd trying to get some pets and attention, not that she didn't get enough from her owner already as it was. Haha! "Alright, Lilly come back we have a battle to start, you can play with the kids afterwards!" she said and Lilly trotted back over nudging her owners leg. "Why don't we start this battle off with a tackle my dear!" she said as she looked at the energetic Azurill with a grin.

Being new to Violet City, as well as being uneasy about the crowd, the start of the battle was making Azurill anxious! It had no idea if it was common for people to watch a battle breaking out in the city, but the baby Azurill never have this many pair of eyes looking at it! As long as it's still bouncing and act cute, it would be alright, right? Right? Hopping around the battle field as Lillipup chased after it, the slightly anxious and eager bouncy Pokemon moved around the field, trying its best to dodge the chasing canine. Meanwhile, it shot water randomly on the field, making the area covered in water that would take a while to dry out. It appeared that electric moves were now weakened, if Megan have any. Each bounce the Azurill made also splashed some water toward the crowd or the Lillipup, so this was what Water Sport does, what an interesting discovery! Lilly though, thought the Azurill was starting off weak because she changed from her kind puppy face to a fierce hound as soon as the battle started. After running on the wet ground for a while, the puppy found an opportunity to slide on the water and then hopped up close for a tackle attack. The move pushed around the Azurill a bit, but it went back up like the attack was nothing. Who was the strong one now? Field: Water Sport Wild Azurill- Level 10 26/33Status: None Used Water Sport Megan's Lilly- Level 5 21/21Stauts: None Used Tackle

With Lilly's inexperience Megan was worried that after the first move she would have to switch out the little puppy pokemon. The female trainer chuckled to herself as Lilly chased the Azurill around the battle area that had been made. The little water pokemon began to shoot water randomly on the field making the area covered in water and there were some rather large puddled around the area now. Each splash the Azurill made splashed water towards or on Lilly. This bothered Lilly and she didn't think this game was funny anymore and so she had changed her demeanor. After running on the wet ground she finally caught up to the water pokemon and used the opportunity to slide on the water and get in close for her tackle attack. It landed and moved the Azurill around a bit, but it was quickly back up and if nothing had happened.
Lilly, proud of her attack splashed some water towards the little blue ball and trotted back Megan "That was fun mom! What's next!!!" Her little pink tongue was stuck out and her little tail was wagging quickly as she sat down in front of Megan who crouched down and petted her on the head "That was really good! Why don't we go in for another tackle!" She said standing back up and watched as the puppy pokemon took off running around again getting ready for her next move.

With the crowd excited after the first round Azurill still thought that Lilly had collided with it by mistake being a young puppy and all and it was willing to forgive her for the mistake. Still not wanting to act too tough fearing one of the people in the crowd would try to capture it if it made itself look too strong which is something it wanted to avoid if at all possible. Trying to rely on it's cute side the young Pokemon began to wag it's tail back and forwards in a cute manner both to cause the crowd to grow distracted and at the same time to try not to hurt Lilly. The Tail Whip managed to do both and as a bonus it distracted Lilly who was so caught up in the display that her attention to detail dropped considerably. With her defense lowered she would not be able to take physical damage as well as she usually could but for the time being at least she had still avoided damage and it was her turn to make another move. Stretching out as far as her legs could go she readied herself for another Tackle attack. The young puppy's first one was not an accident and neither was this one which Azurill would suddenly find out the hard way. The young puppy ran into the young mouse with all of her might. The dual type mouse after all this time realized that this puppy was being serious about a battle and it did not see a choice but to hurt the puppy in the next round to teach it a lesson. Azurill just hoped it's next attack would not draw too much unfavorable attention to the crowd fearing a random Pokeball would come flying it's way as soon as it made it's attack. Pokemon Battle
Azurill: | Level 10| Health: 57% (19/33 HP)Status: Normal OK now I am mad! Move: Tail Whip
Megan's Lilly: | Level 5 | Health: 100% (21/21 HP) Status: Normal (Defense -1) This is so fun! Move: Tackle
Ooc: Just a small note from the last round Water Sport weakens fire type attacks not electric ones however as Tackle is a normal type move that will not have any negative effect this round either.

The crowd around the trainer versus wild pokemon battle was excitement, while there was a Gym in the town for them to head over to it was always a feat to watch a trainer and wild battle, as anyone might be able to scoop up the wild pokemon if the trainer defeats and leaves it. The little Azurill seemed to realize this as it still had yet to use a power attack. While Megan had been contemplating this Lilly was distracted and trying to play with the little ball at then end of the Azurill's tail "Ooo! This is fun!" Lilly said in attempts to pounce on it. Realizing that she was not going to get the tail as easily as she thought she run all her might into the water mouse pokemon in a tackle attack. She had hoped that this would make the little water pokemon aware that she meant business now.
Megan decided that since Lilly was so distracted with all the energy around that it was time to take a new tactic on this battle. Grabbing Lilly's pokeball from her belt she enlarged it with a click of her finger, and in a flash of light retracted Lilly. "We really need to work on your concentration." she mused as she returned the puppy pokemons ball back to her hip and grabbed another one. "Alright then, from one puppy to another." She said as she tossed the pokeball out and her Poochyena Poncho appeared in a flash, the ball rolled back to Megan and she picked it up.
Poncho took a large stretch, it had been a couple of days since he had been released on his pokeball confines. Megan patted the top of his head and he looked around at the crowd of people his tongue hanging out of his mouth, he then spotted the Azurill and zeroed in realizing he was being asked to battle, "You ready?" Megan asked and Poncho barked "As if you even have to ask" he chuckled and Megan knew he was always ready for business. "A tackle if you may," but Poncho was already a step ahead of Megan knowing what she already wanted.
Meanwhile Corla had plopped herself into a sitting position watching the battle and sad to have not been called upon, Perdu likewise was upset with the fact that he was still sitting on the sidelines

Cautious of being captured by a passerby, the Azurill eyed the crowd but truly needed to be more focused on the opponent in front of it. Withdrawing her sweet Lillipup, the many eyes of the crowd fell upon Megan herself, pondering on how she would handle the battle from here on. Deciding to switch it up, she had withdrawn Lilly but had another pooch in mind to continue the battle with. Tossing her arm forward, she threw her next choice, a dark hound known as Poochyena. Typically quite intimidating to look at, Poncho was more of a quick footed creature than a scary one, wanting nothing more than to battle one opponent after the next. Well, he was in luck, as his newest opponent was this Azurill. Remaining on the spot, the baby Pokemon quivered some but knew it needed to defend itself in some way. Thus, the battle continued.
Once again hoping that it's cute actions would save it, the mouse like Pokemon moved off of it's large tail and swung it from side to side in a teasing motion. Turning a few heads of the crowd away from the Poncho and gaining a number of aww's, the Azurill had certainly become a crowd favourite. Poncho, on the other hand, felt himself hesitate some. Lowering his defenses, he figured that such a small creature couldn't be all that strong but he, himself was. Gritting his fangs, the dark Poochyena sped forward with a lowered head, tackling his own body directly into the opponent and pushing the Azurill to the floor. Letting out a pained squeak, this on top of the tackling from Lilly meant that the Azurill was becoming a little worse for wear. In the moment and to force Poncho to back off, the tiny creature parted it's mouth and out shot a cluster of bubbles. Striking the pooch in the face, he snarled and immediately moved away from the Azurill.

The little water pokemon still looked very weary of the crowd and was a little distracted to watching it's opponent battling it. When Megan retrieved Lilly all eyes seemed to be on her as she had pondered who to grab next. but from her choice of Poncho it seemed like a good choice so far. Azurill's first move of this second half of the battle was another cute move as it used a tail whip. This got a lot of attention from the crowed but a scoff from Megan, especially as Poncho fell for the trick. It caused Poncho to hesitate and having his defenses lowered. Annoyed he had gritted his fangs and landed a tackle against the water mouse. It had let out a squeak as the attack landed. In annoyance the Azurill had forced a stream of bubbles from it's mouth hitting Poncho in the face and making him more aggravated. Making him shake his head and back up towards Megan.
Megan clenched her fists at this point. "Don't let this little water mouse get the better of you Poncho." She said in a matter of fact tone. Poncho let out a throaty growl as well feeling his trainers annoyance, "Alright, then let's do this." he snapped and Megan as if she understood nodded her head "Let's give this little mouse a taste of another tackle." Poncho snarled it's pleasure in the thought and took off again across the area, the crowed drowned in the distance and it's eyes set on the Azurill.

As the previous Bubble attacked caused Poncho to retract and stand back in front of Megan, the wild Azurill took little gasps for breath. The battle so far had meant that the tiny Pokemon had taken quite a few hits and with it, it's health had lowered dramatically. Affecting it's concentration, the somewhat dizzy creature sat upon it's tail, trying to recollect itself after the harsh tackle attack from the Poochyena. The crowd still well and truly focused on the battle, the Azurill wish it could be more aware of it's surroundings. The weaker it became, the slower it's movements and soon enough, it's head was swimming. Should it be cautious of the crowd? What if a Pokeball is thrown? What if the Poochyena attacks? What attack should it use back? Over thinking this far too much, the Azurill was overloading itself and in turn, could be physically seen as it rolled around on it's soft, squishy tail. It wouldn't take much to finish it off by this point.
Having shook the bubble residue from his eyes, Poncho was ready to continue on and felt very similarly to his trainer. This Azurill wasn't cute at all and the worst part was that it just wouldn't hurry up and faint already! If it did, then Megan and her team could walk away victorious and the Azurill could slink off into the shadows. But for now, Poncho didn't mind the idea of another tackle. His dark fur rustling as he charged forward, the dark canine tackled straight into the Azurill, knocking it right off it's bouncing tail. For a moment, it remained still as if feigning loss. But just as Poncho began to feel that his final attack had succeeded, the Azurill's body began to shudder. With barely any health left at all and moments away from fainting, the Azurill showed some tenacity as it wouldn't let itself give up. Gasping weakly, it barely managed to retort back with another bubble attack, which weakly struck at the body of Poncho. Gritting his teeth, he wouldn't fail in the next round.
Azurill: | Level 10 | Health: 9% ( 3/33 HP) Status: Normal Azurill used Bubble!
VS
Poncho: | Level 11 | Health: 71% (23/32 HP) Status: -1 Def Poncho used Tackle!

Megan looked around at the surrounding crowed noticing that they had all gotten really quiet at the battle had moved on as they were intently watching the battle as the Azurill got weaker. It was starting to stumble and have more work trying to stay in the battle. If fact it seemed now as everything was distracting the little pokemon as it was overthinking the whole situation! As Poncho recuperated from the bubbles in his face he shook his head one more time and was off like a bullet. It dark fur rustling as he charged forward, and landed a tackle straight to the Azurill. Poncho had thought the tackle had finished it off but the little pokemon had mustered up the last bit of it's strength and landed a Bubble attack to Poncho's side. Poncho irritated gritted it's teeth knowing he would finish it off the next round.
Poncho looked at Megan for it's queue. Megan nodded and gestured hand towards the young water pokemon "Another tackle will do." She said with a smile and waited for the battle to end debating whether to pick up the Azurill or let a small girl get her first pokemon in the young Azurill who just needs a little love.

Now suffering from stage fright and a weakened state, Azurill did it's best to continue to balance on it's tail while still facing the terrifying Poncho. It wanted to test its strength, and now that the test had all but failed for Azurill it was ready to bounceon out of here and away from the crowd. It now faced a predicament. Stay here and lose, which would more than likely end up in a capture, whether it was by this trainer or by someone in the crowd? Or try and escape, which was unlikely as the crowd was only getting thicker. Azurill were cute Pokemon, and while the little mouse liked to flaunt that occasionally, it would have given anything to get rid of the attention that it was gaining. With each breath it attempted to raise the water that it would be able to spit out with the bubbles in order to make such a devastating attack Megan would run away, but when it didn't feel it's strength rise, Azurill got afraid. It's tail seemed to shudder in fear as Azurill's mouth turned upside down into a wide, scared frown. It would have to fight. It couldn't run away now. Poncho noticed and turned to look at his trainer but an order was an order. Given that a tackle was asked for, a tackle would be given. The capable pup, well aware that the bubbles from this Pokemon could sting, nimbly dashed over, avoiding loose cobblestones and slick pavement to slam it's body into the balancing body of the Azurill. The blue mouse faltered for a moment and it looked as though the mouse was going to retaliate close range with some type of water attack, but with no other movement it simply slipped off it's tail and thudded to the ground with an unceremonious 'squish.' Poncho returned to his owners side, although the mouse was hers to capture if she wished. Otherwise, someone in the crowd would get an easy Pokemon to capture with Megan doing all the hard work for them. Azurill had no say in the situation now. Poncho had done his job though, and admirably. The Poochyena finished off the opponent without so much as a retaliation gurgle.

Poncho delivered the last attach on the weakened Azurill, Megan felt bad as the little pokemon laid there, fainted. Megan closed her eyes and put a hand on Poncho's head, "Good job," she whispered. Turning her back to the small blue bundle she looked over her shoulder hoping a small young girl would be able to pick up the adorable water pokemon for her own.
Closing her eyes she kept her hand on top of Poncho and walked away, "I almost feel sorry for defeating that youngling," she mused as she walked away moving on to her adventure and more pokemon. Megan picked up her head from where it hung and stopped, "I can't feel sorry for all the pokemon that I battle and faint they too have learned valuable lessons and grow stronger from here too." she said a new sparkle in her eyes, "If I was sorry for every pokemon I defeated I would lead a very sad life as a Pokemon trainer, it comes as part of the day to day life." She petted Poncho, "Let's keep on and continue to get stronger, our team needs to win against Faulkner!" Poncho howled his agreement. Corla hopped on her dog's back sick of walking and Perdu took his usual spot on Megan's shoulder. Being much gentler with his wings not wanting to be chastised again by his trainer.

Upon finishing off the baby Azurill, Megan and her team of Pokemon turned and walked away, in order to continue on with their adventure. Not looking back, it would forever be a mystery as to what happened to the fainted Pokemon. Was it captured by a passerby or did it manage to wake up quickly and flee? Neither really mattered. In the world of Pokemon, this was the norm and there was nothing to feel guilty about when it came to battling. Testing the strength of one another was common not only in the wild, but when battling against other trainers too. In the end, win or lose, both sides would gain some level of valuable experience so all that she could do was bask in the moment. Her team had won and with it, her Pokemon had grown. If she wished to continue exploring through Johto, these are the steps that she would have to rinse and repeat. As would any other trainer, good or bad.
But her recent battle had attracted a lot of attention, not just from normal civilians but aspiring trainers too. Within Violet was an Academy, were youngsters were able to learn the basics of becoming a Pokemon Trainer. As such, there were many students in the area and one in particular felt that she had been in the right place at the right time. Watching as Megan walked off, the young girl who had been watching pushed her way through the dispersing crowd, hoping to catch up. "Wait! Please wait!" She called out, hoping that she wouldn't lose sight of the red headed girl. Catching up to her, the girl ran in front of Megan to try and halt her progress. Fairly young, likely very early teens, the twin tailed girl appeared to be in some sort of scout uniform, a childish smile beaming up from underneath her hat. "Excuse me! Miss!" Catching her breath, the girl suddenly pulled a Pokeball off from her own belt. "My name is Liz! I was watching you battle and it inspired me to challenge you! Me and Nidoran love to battle other trainers, we always learn so much!" Throwing her Pokeball forward, a small, female Nidoran appeared by her ankles, large ears and nose twitching upon feeling the cold touch her face. "Please accept! I'll try my best to not waste your time, I promise!"

While Megan was moving from the crowd she pulled out Poncho's and Corla's Pokeball's and returned them to their Pokeballs and back on her hip. She lets Perdu out and rubbed his chest feathers. While she moved further from the crowed she heard calling after her, "Wait! Please wait!" This halted Megan in her tracks and she quickly had a young girl run and stop in front of her hoping to catch her attention she supposed. Megan smiled at the young girl, in some sort of scout uniform, who continued to talk, "Excuse me! Miss!" The girl got out the words from her mouth between breaths. "My name is Liz! I was watching you battle and it inspired me to challenge you! Me and my Nidoran love to battle other trainers, we always learn so much!" She threw her pokeball forward, a small, female Nidoran appeared by her.
The older trainer smiled at the girls guts, "Well Liz, my name is Megan and you have quite the guts to be challenging another trainer!" The older woman praised. Liz was looking at Megan still intently "Please accept! I'll try my best to not waste your time, I promise!" At this Megan could not resist, she continued to smile and nodded, "Very well m'dear we shall battle and see what comes of it!" Perdu flapped his wings in excitement, "Yes Perdu, it's your turn now! Let's get this battle started off with a nice gust attack!" And the battle commenced from here!
