Name:
Merilee Windsor
Age:
16
Gender:
Female
Trainer Type:
Trainer
Hometown:
Ecruteak Area
Appearance:
Merilee was, physically, an interesting mix of smooth and hard. Her skin was like milk and hair like gold and steel. Her features were refined and soft, with plump lips and narrow, blue eyes. Those eyes were intelligent and cold, set beneath thin brows and behind long curved lashes. Her silver-gold hair was long and sleek, glinting in the slightest light and falling almost past her waist. Her body was thin, with few curves but those present were often accentuated by her body-hugging attire. Her shoulders were broad and straight for a woman, and she was willowy with long, thin limbs and large hands and feet for her size. The nails of her hands and feet seemed perpetually painted black and she was groomed to perfection. Her clothing and style consisted of a mix between trendy, high-end business attire or couture, usually in black and white. On occasion she wore pastels in pink and blue. If she opted to wear accessories, they were generally unusual and experimental high fashion pieces.
Merilee moved very smoothly and deliberately, with an air of indifference towards others and confidence in herself. She seemed to have an economy of motion, and spent a majority of her time very still, yet when necessary would explode into brief, purposeful motion, as though having predicted and planned her sudden movement. Those traits were apparent even when she walked, as her arms did not swing as she moved, and her head was tilted backwards ever so slightly. She was naturally feminine in motion, as well; her movements were often delicate and graceful. Her voice was smooth and cool, yet with an occasional edge that hinted to an incredible wrath, if provoked.
Personality:
Merilee was a cold, cold girl. She rarely smiled or thought to offer a kind word to a person she didn’t know well. When on the field she was all business, sometimes to the detriment of her fellow trainers' self-esteem. Merilee always seemed to find a way to win, tasks, and left ruin in her wake, if necessary, to efficiently satisfy her goals. She had no interest in protecting property or anything else when they stood in the way of her goals, and would sacrifice anything, if there was a greater goal in mind. As a side effect of her towering ambition, Merilee was very greedy--there was always more money to make, a rarer Pokémon to catch, another enemy to destroy. She was never satisfied with what she had, and was always looking to the next thing to possess or control or use.
Another natural consequence of her greed was a strong sense of envy. If someone else had something she didn't--that was a problem. She was always checking to see what someone else had, or accomplished or seen, and tailoring her actions to surpass them. It often lead her to reaching new heights, but her constant chasing the next greatest person made her many enemies. But, Merilee was not the type of person to respect her enemies. She fought with no rules and would taunt and tease her enemies solely because of her distaste with them. An aspect of her personality was spite--why allow your opponent to run away, when you could watch them squirm when their escape vehicle and their comrades' home are both aflame, leaving the silly 'hero' to save only one. Oops.
History:
Merilee was born the youngest daughter of the Windsor family. That was often enough for people to nod knowingly and quickly run to safety. The Windsors were known as rich and ambitious, and their ties to organised crime were always among the day's rumours. Merilee was not only a Windsor, but she was a pretty child and very bright. But even from early childhood, her cold demeanour was apparent. Merilee announced when she was five years old that she would become the Champion of Johto one day, but wouldn't begin training until after school was finished. Her parents were beside themselves with glee--the Windsors had yet to have a Champion from their family.
Merilee flew through school, testing often (at her own insistence) and graduating from high school at twelve years old. She opted to study Pokémon psychology in Saffron City in Kanto. She very nearly gave up her dream of becoming Champion to become a full-time researcher on Cinnabar Island. However, after witnessing the Pokémon League tournaments on the Indigo Plateau she gained a renewed interest in competition, and found herself developing strategies she couldn't rest until she attempted. She never felt so exhilarated than when she saw Pokémon battles. Connecting with Pokémon and joining them in battle was in her blood, regardless of her talents in other areas.
So she rushed to an advanced degree, graduating just before her sixteenth birthday. Her family flew in from across the globe, and they and Merilee's colleagues (the ones she spoke to) all gathered to celebrate her entry into the Pokémon League. The party at the Windsor Manor outside Ecruteak City was one for the ages. Merilee knew little about it, as she was only there a few minutes. Instead she was locked in her room, poring over research she'd compiled, ready to begin her adventure. The first decisions would be crucial, and Merilee was always prepared.
Goals:
The List -
I. Champion of Kanto
A. Must win easily. The name demands you demolish your opponents.
II. The Team
A. Most Pokémon have use in battle. Should capture as many as possible for examination. However the following would be ideal leads:
i. Tyranitar
ii. Alakazam
III. Connections
A. Investigate and network organisations, perhaps form my own. The name demands I become a power-player in the League.
IV. Money
A. Independent wealth is non-negotiable. Explore money-making opportunities.
Other Info:
None.
