Travis could not even think of what to say next. His anger was so great that it was clouding his judgement as he tried to answer his opponent. His pride was the only thing keeping him going at the moment as the reality of the situation he was in was quite grim. " You will see, I have trained this Zubat with tricky moves no Pokemon could beat." His Zubat was nothing special in reality but he could not let Astrid know that as if she saw through his bluff he would be in trouble. He hoped his bluff would work but Mads started the next round off before he could offer Astrid a chance to give in. Mads covered himself with a sphere of water that would slowly replenish his energy. Travis had to act fast to prevent the Alomomola from becoming an unbeatable wall. Trying to come up with something on the fly he gave his orders. " Zubat we cannot let that pink abomination take advantage of it's aqua ring, use leech life to sap it's energy." Zubat flew over to Mads and bit down on his forehead to try and weaken the fish but it hardly made a difference. As soon as Zubat let go the ring of water surrounding Mads began to glow restoring some of his energy making leech life worthless. Travis continued to spiral out of control as Astrid asked him a question. " DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH POKEMON SELL FOR ON THE BLACK MARKET?" After taking a breat he continued. " People pay out the nose for pretrained Pokemon to save themselves the trouble of doing it themselves. Sure I could raise them myself and sell them but this way is much more fun." As his rant ended with a massive headache he waited to see what Astrid's next move would be as he tried to stop the pounding pain brought on by the headache. Trainer Battle!

Astrid was as calm as ever, she had spent too much time getting yelled at by criminals while she tried to get basic informations from them (like name and address) to put into the system, while she worked for the police. The things Travis said was like water compared to what else she had been called.
She was a bit worried as the zubat attacked Mads, but the water seemed to ease the pain, actually it looked like he had fewer bruises than before the zubat attacked, but that couldn't be true. Mads looked like he wasn't in any trouble at the moment, despite what Travis tried to make her believe.
She looked dismayed at him as he really started to shout at her and she shook her head as what he said once again made little sense to her. He still hadn't given her the answer she had hoped for though.
"No, I do not know how much people will pay, it is not a place I usually go to and other people should not do it either since it is illegal," Astrid said tiredly.
"So you use your experienced pokemon to fight fair against each pokemon you want to capture and sell? And then train them so people will pay more for them afterwards?" Astrid asked and sounded more just curious than stern.
Mads felt much better after the water had done its job and he decided to not give the zubat one slap of his fin but more, as many as he could before it moved out of range again.
(ooc: Mads uses Double Slap.
I'm not sure if Thyra got any levels from the last battle? She is holding an xp-share)

Zubat’s high-pitched sounds were extremely annoying in battle. “Ugh. I wish Sneasel was still able to fight. You’re quite the annoying Pokemon. Hopefully when I defeat this old woman I’ll be able to use some of her Pokemon. Maybe they’ll actually be useful. In sum, yes sometimes I will use the Pokemon I steal and when I’m done with them I’ll pawn them off somewhere. Times are tough in Cherrygrove, people make due in their own trades and fashions.” Although one does not know how long this hunter has been residing in Cherrygrove for, the likelihood of him stretching the truth wasn’t too far-fetched.
Mads flew towards the ugly bat, his flippers wiggling with tensions of battle. It was time to get this battle done and over with! The pink Pokemon, although known for being the Caring Pokemon in the Pokedex, did have a decent attack stat. Although lacking STAB typing, the Alomomola went in and gave a wicked couple of smacks! “Zubat, use your Astonish attack!” The Zubat sucked in breath, then let out a high-pitched scream! Although a valiant attempt, this move was well-known for not being particularly strong. Trainer Battle!

Astrid didn't answer Travis' complains about his own pokemon, it still didn't prove that it was him who had put up the cages in the forest. Actually he hadn't answered her questions at all, which was rather rude of him, though whatelse could you expect from a guy like him?
Criminal he was, that was for certain since he tried to steal her pokemon, though from what she could see it didn't go very well, and if he was wishing he had his sneasel again, it didn't sound like he had a lot of other strong pokemon with him. That was a relief for Astrid to hear and she hoped it was correct guessed of her.
She frowned as she wondered if she should point out he hadn't answered her questions but didn't want to come off as a grumpy old lady, so what else could she say.
"Is the houndour one you have stolen too? And do you know anything about the cages there are around the place?" Astrid asked as neutral as possible, and hoped he would answer.
Mads didn't get much surprised by the zubat's attack, the sound was uncomfortable yes but compared to Placido's it was nothing. Beside it had attacked him directly in front of him instead of trying to surprise him from somewhere unexpected. The little pain his ears felt were dulled by the water that still surrounded him and it was full of confidence he attacked his opponent with some more fin-slaps.

Hunter Travis was very nearly visibly fuming from the ears as he was slowly diving firmly into a losing situation here. The man rolled the whip in his hands, stretching a section of the weapon taunt as he wrung it in his hands. "You better pick up your game Zubat or you're through! That was pitiful!"His opponents continued calm demeanor and cool questions only put him further on edge. All these questions. What was she? Some sort of secret detective? Naw, the police were at least smart enough to not run around such dressy attire. Dresses, skirts, high heels... now wait that was exactly how they dressed. Travis pursed his lips as his face started to go red. "Look lady, I got nothing more to say to you. I'm just going to finish my business here and chalk this all up to a bad day. So let's just get this over with." He redirected his gaze to the bat struggling to stay airborne, a vein popping at the side of his head as he contained his rage. "Sink your fangs into that girly fish and recoup some of your energy! Go!" Travis let the whip snap in the air as he yelled. Mads rushed in at his lady's command to continue the slapping assault. Swerving in to close range as the Zubat fluttered heavily in the air the elegant water pokémon whipped around and slapped the flying bug twice with his tail. Zubat shrieked as it reeled back, but this time it flipped into a loop-d-loop so it could swoop back around and get a bite out of the pink fish. Zubat's fangs weren't very long however, barely making it passed Mads' scales as the poor thing sucked a tiny bit of life. Trainer Battle

Mads felt better and better for each round, and he was pleased with himself that he had taken the safe route and covered himself in water, it cooled the bite wounds so nicely.
His slapping seemed to do the job and he prepared to continue to slap the zubat until it laid still on the ground. He ignored the man's yelling, and concentrated on the battling.
Placido wasn't going to let such a comment to one of his friends go unresolved even though the man wouldn't be able to understand him and that the "girly" dish clearly was winning the skirmish.
"Hey human, thanks for the compliment!" Placido whispered loudly to Travis and Mads couldn't help but smile when he heard. Thyra looked surprised at the whismur and giggled by his respond.
"And I'm glad you can see that Mads is as great as his colors suggests," Placido continued with a grin, while Cyan looked confused.
"I don't think he meant it as a compliment," the mudkip then said slowly and Placido grinned.
"I know, that is why I'm trying to turn it around so it sound like one, we can't accept that our friends get patronized, can we?" Placido said with a wink and Cyan finally understood and laughed too.
Astrid could have used their good humor to lighten up her mood. Travis was not cooperating at all and she had to accept she didn't know how to get him to speak, or what to do with him when the battle was over.
She was quite certain that this was his last pokemon, or else he wouldn't have been so angry and threatened his own pokemon several times, he seemed desperate. She could understand that he had underestimated her and found it hard to accept that even though she was an old woman, she wasn't easy to frighten.
She sighed once more and looked pussled at her pokemon, who were laughing and seemed to have the time of their life. At least someone was enjoying it.
(ooc: Mads uses Double-Slap, if it isn't knocked out by one attack, I'm using Running Shoes to attack again)

As the next round got underway Travis wasted no time in staying on the offensive as his Zubat was on it's last limbs as far as hp was concerned. The bat had taken a beating time and time again and if Mads was able to score enough hits it would knock out Zubat before it could even get another attack off. He was embarrassed enough to have underestimated Astrid but the very thought of losing to her after all of this was a heartbreaking thought which was almost certainly the reality of the situation. " Zubat we cannot waste any time. That sardine is knocking you about out there and it is disgusting to watch. Use Supersonic to try and confuse that fish before it can strike again." Though he managed to beat Astrid in ordering a move Mads was still faster than the bat and as the fish realized Travis was ready to strike again he made another attack of his own. When Zubat got in close to try and use it's Supersonic attack he floated over to the bat as it was getting ready and began to slap the bat silly with his fins. As soon as the bat was smacked a third time it fell to the ground skidding across the ground and Travis was speechless. Before words could even leave his tongue sirens could be heard along with the barking of a particular Pokemon known to accompany the police known as Growlithe. As the fire type dog chased after Travis Officer Jenny appeared on the scene with a pair of handcuffs in her hands. " Travis you are under arrest for Pokemon theft, Abusing Pokemon, and evading arrest." With no other option Travis gave up without another fight as he did not stand a chance against her Growlithe. Two other officers pulled up in a car and Travis was put in the back as Jenny walked over to Astrid. " Thank you for helping us capture Travis. We have been after him for some time now but he is going where he belongs. I would like you to have these Pokedollars as a rewards for your assistance." After handing Astrid the money Jenny called the local Pokemon Center to have the Houndour picked up so they could be checked on by the local Nurse Joy. Joy arrived a few minutes later with a van and took the Houndour to the center for a checkup and then Jenny left the scene after photographing the area for evidence bringing the crazy ordeal to a close. Trainer Battle!

Things suddenly went fast, at least it seemed so for old Astrid. Travis demanded his zubat should try confuse them so he could get away, but Mads knocked it out before it got to it. Araceli spread his wings and Placido also were ready to chase down the man, should he try to run away, but otherwise no-one moved or made a sound.
Then sirenes were heard and barkings from pokemon that could only be growlithes. Astrid smiled, what a perfect timing!
"It is alright, relax. They are on our side, it is the police," Astrid quickly reassured her surprised and wary pokemon, and soon after the growlithe did really appear and chased down Travis, closely followed by Officer Jenny.
Thyra hurried to the zubat to make sure it was alright and would try to approached the houndours to calm them down, until Nurse Joy arrived to take care of them.
Astrid just waited with a smile while she watched the effectiveness of the police, just as she remembered it. It was always nice to see the law being upheld and executes so flawlessly.
"It was my simple duty, I only delayed him to you arrived, I am happy the Police is as effective as when I worked for it," Astrid said warmly but accepted the money anyway. Her pension wasn't that big and she was sure they would come in handy.
She stayed until Nurse Joy had arrived and taken care of the injured pokemon, and was the last to leave the area.
"You did great all of you," she told her pokemon kindly.
"We have solved a lot of problems today, so let ud go back and rest a big, you deserve that."
Amanda jumped jingling ahead of the mostly tired group, with Cyan running playfully after her. Araceli flew above, content of being free and having stopped the poacher from doing any more harm.
