Snubbull had fought very hard up to this point however as bite was not a very effective move it simply could not overcome the huge level gap it was faced with. Even so it had at least proven it would not back down from a fight without being knocked out, though it did not take into consideration that Aphrodite intended to capture it. The fairy dog was all ready to take a knockout blow when instead Aphrodite called her Pokemon off and pulled out a Pokeball. Snubbull grunted as it had hoped to end this battle with a bang instead of a click. With how tired it was trying to break out of even a Pokeball would prove quite a challenge. As Snubbull had no choice in the matter all it could do was try it's best to break out.

The Pokeball scored a direct hit on it's belly and a moment later Snubbull disappeared into the Pokeball. The very moment the ball closed it began to rock violently back and forward as the hound tried it's best to escape. After the first shake Snubbull grew more desperate as it struggled as much as it's body would allow to escape but in no time at all the ball shook again. Giving the ball one final push Snubbull slammed into internal walls of the Pokeball but it was to no avail. After a third shake the ball clicked shut trapping it in the ball and bringing the battle to a close. Raisa even grew a little stronger for defeating her foe while increasing her bond with her trainer as she celebrated her victory.

The brilliant red light quickly absorbed the Snubbull and pulled it into the red and white sphere. The Poke Ball shook for a few seconds before coming to a quick halt. A soft BING! echoed through the air, signaling that the Snubbull had been successful captured by the young beauty trainer. A pleased smirk curved against Aphrodite's full lips as she walked over and obtained her newly capture Snubbull. "Welcome Roxy." She smiled at the Poke Ball before watching it disappear from the palm of her hand. Roxy would be sent over to her storage system and housed with her other cute Pokemon. "Thanks again Raisa. You've been a huge help and you're even starting to grow even stronger. It's time for you to take a rest now." She spoke to the single bloom Pokemon before returning her back to her warm and cozy Poke Ball. After returning Raisa to her orb, Aphrodite would release another one of her fairy friends. This time, it would be Bijou, her Carbink. The Fairy/Rock type emerged from its Poke Ball with its beady eyes staring at its trainer. "Okay Bijou. It's finally time for you to get some training in. Don't worry. I'll make sure to polish your gem afterwards." She smiled at her Pokemon. The Carbink cooed while floating circles around its trainer. "Come on, let's go. Maybe, we will be able to find a trainer or two to battle against here." She stated, walking down the path ahead of her.

As Aphrodite continued down the trail looking for a trainer to battle it did not take her very long to find a sparring partner. Just a short distance away from her last battle was a Bird Keeper who had been cleaning his Pidgey's feathers as he waited hoping for something to come along to see if it needed to train more or not before trying to take on a gym. The man noticed Aphrodite and walked over to her with his Pidgey by his side. It was not terribly shocking to meet another trainer on route 32 as it was a popular route though it was still nice that he did not have to wait long. He wasted no time in introducing himself before asking her for a battle.

" It is nice to meet you, my name is Peter and this here is my Pidgey. We have been hoping to find someone test test our skills on before we battle Falkner and you look like quite a strong trainer. My Pidgey here could really use the experience as she has not been in very many battles yet." Before Aphrodite even had a chance to respond Pidgey had already taken her place in front of Peter ready for a battle. She might not be the smartest Pidgey in the world jumping into a battle head first like that but she was brave and that is why Peter liked her so much. He did not have the heart to call her back and hoped Aphrodite would understand.

" It looks like Pidgey here is not really giving any of us a choice. She will not back down from a battle once her mind is made up. I hope you do not mind being dragged into a battle." He said as he waited for her to select a Pokemon.

A warm and welcoming smile spread across Aphrodite's lips as the younger trainer approached her and introduce himself to her. "Hello Peter, it is a pleasure to meet you, too. My name is Aphrodite." She spoke softly, extending her dainty hand out for a friendly handshake. "Oh, you would like to have a battle? I just challenged the Violet Gym leader too long ago. I guess it would be a good idea to practice against me." She stated, brushing a few strings of her golden hair away from her fair face. "I was actually hoping to get a little more training in with my Pokemon, too. So, that will definitely work in our favor, too." She smiled at Peter before turning her attention towards her hovering Carbink. The Fairy and Rock-type Pokemon stared curiously at Peter and his Pidgey.

"Oh, I see. She's a gutsy one." Aphrodite giggled as she watched the Pidgey take flight into the air only to land back down onto the battlefield. "Well, there's nothing left to do, but to get this battle started, right?" She smiled, taking her place on the opposite side of the battlefield. "This is going to be your first official battle, but I believe in you nonetheless." She spoke out to her Carbink. A soft coo escaped from Bijou's mouth as it entered the battlefield. "Bijou, use Sharpen twice!" The Carbink performed a couple of swift twirls and within seconds the stones covering its body started to grow more jagged, raising its attack power.

With the battle now underway Peter wanted to try and stay polite despite his Pidgey forcing a battle between them. " Aphrodite, that is a pretty name. You actuality beat Falkner? We might be in over our heads here. Well at least if we do win we will know we are ready and if not at least we tried." His Pidgey was more than ready to attack as soon as Aphrodite sent out her Pokemon. " I have never seen that Pokemon before be careful and start with a gust attack." The flying type Pokemon then kicked up a gust of wing sending debris towards Bijou who hardly reacted at all. Bijou's rock hard armor had absorbed most of the impact. As soon as Pidgey ended her attack Bijou started it's own move.

The rock type sharpened the jagged rocks on it's body boosting it's attack. Peter had never seen that strategy before and he was impressed. " What an impressive idea. Pidgey be even more careful now, that Pokemon will be more dangerous than ever. Try a tackle to soften it up some more." Pidgey began to hop over towards Bijou and it performed a full bodied tackle that again did not do much. Peter was running out of options for moves already but knowing Bijou would boost it's strength even more was not good. The second sharpen attack made Bijou's attack skyrocket with no clear cut way to bypass it's defenses.

" Your Pokemon is amazing. It's attack must be really high after two sharpens. We really have our work cut out for us. This battle is looking to be way harder than I would have imagined." He said wondering how the next round would go.

"Thank you, that is kind of you to say." Aphrodite smiled as the younger trainer complimented her unique name. "Yes, I didn't find Falkner to be too much of a challenge, then again I did do some research on him before taking him own. It might be helpful for you to do the same thing, if you haven't done that now." She smiled, offering Peter some friendly advice. "Bijou is a Carbink. He's a rock and fairy type Pokemon. Do you know anything about fairy-types?" She asked Peter, curious to know if the other trainer knew anything about her favorite type of Pokemon.

The battle was quick to start and Pidgey had managed to deliver the first couple of attacks. Luckily, due to Bijou's high defense stats the attack weren't too damaging to its body. "Your Pidgey is definitely a little more agile than my Carbink, but that's not too surprising since most rock-types are a bit on the slow side. What my Pokemon lacks in speed it makes up for in its defenses." She smiled at Peter. Bijou was starting to look quite threatening out there now that it had managed to boost up its attack stats. "Bijou use Rock Throw!"

Peter was impressed that Aphrodite had researched her foe ahead of time and it was something he should consider. " I have not researched Falkner yet, the only thing I do know is that he loves flying types like myself and I do recall hearing Pidgey is one of his Pokemon. I really should research him more as it might help for when I do battle him." He said as Pidgey began to lose her patience wanting to go another round. Peter was more polite however and wanted to keep speaking before another round. He had never seen a Carbink before and was fascinated by how tough it was. Not only that but he was interested in hearing about fairy types as well.

" I cannot say I know very much about fairy types at all. They are sort of rare around these parts and outside of the few Jigglypuff I have seen others use I have not seen many but Carbink looks very unique. That rock typing also explains why it can shake off my Pidgey's attacks with ease." As he tried to think of what to do next Aphrodite did make a good point, Pidgey might not be the fastest Pokemon in the world but she was a bit faster than Carbink which allowed her to make the first move even if she could not do very much per hit. Considering Bijou's boosted attack she needed to hit as hard as she could on this next attack.

" If speed is the only thing Carbink has to sacrifice for that much defense I am very impressed. Pidgey try a tackle attack and see if you can take away any more hp as I do not think any of your other moves will fare any better." As she tackled the rock type with all her might Bijou again just shrugged it off. A moment later it lifted a large rock that was on the ground nearby and threw it at Pidgey at a very fast speed. The bird was knocked out as soon as the rock hit her beak and Peter was amazed by it's strength. As he recalled Pidgey he was not ready to give up yet however.

" Amazing you were able to knock out Pidgey in a single blow. I still have a few more Pokemon though and since we are already in a battle it would be a waste not to use them to try and still win this battle." He then tossed out a Pokeball containing a young Spearow. This bird was even more aggressive than the last and was eager to go on the offensive. " I admit you won the first round quite handily but I will give it my all to trun things around from here on out." He said as the next round was about ready to start.

Ooc: I have no idea how I came up with such high damage last time as Tackle and Gust should only do 2-3 damage per hit. Even at 2 max damage rolls Bijou should have 27 hp so I am going off of that amount and fixing the hp here so it will correct from this post onwards.

Aphrodite nodded her head as she listened to Peter's words floating through her ears. She hoped that the younger trainer would indeed take her advice before challenging Falkner to a Gym battle. She was slightly enjoying the friendly conversation between the two of them, but she figured that it was now time for her to focus on winning this battle. Perhaps, afterwards the two of them could continue their conversation ice the battle comes to an end.

Bijou braced itself for the incoming attack and similar to before the bulky Rock/Fairy-type Pokemon was able to tank the attack. "Bijou, your defense is looking flawless out there. Keep it up!" Aphrodite praised her Pokemon. After defending itself Bijou was able to fire her own attack and as soon as the heavy rock made contact with the Pidgey's body it had knocked her out cold. The poor Pidgey did not stand a chance against the disadvantage against the Carbink. "At least your Pidgey did last enough to get an attack in against my Pokemon, that's definitely more than what Falkner was about to do." She stated, giggling as she reflected on her battle against Falkner. She had managed to knock out both of his Pokemon in one shot without even putting a scratch on her little Dedenne.

Aphrodite smiled as Peter tossed out another Pokemon to use against her. "That's fine, even more training for us!" She stated, nodding her head. She then glanced over at Bijou and noticed that her Pokemon appeared to have been attempting to use a new move. "Hmm, I think I know that move. Let's try it out. Bijou use Smack Down!" She commanded, confident that her Pokemon would be able to master the new move.

“Jeez, that Carbink is certainly a strong Pokemon.” Peter was unsure of the fairy typing, but he knew that its potential was significant. Throughout ancient lore, the fairy type was the ultimate power as it could defeat the dragons, which were in many cases legendary or the rarest of all. “Although I don’t have any fairy type Pokemon I do have my birds! I love them just as much as I would love a Dragonite!” He said with fire in his eyes. It was true, the young bird keeper did have a strong adoration for his Pokmeon.

As the bird keeper battled the fairy tale woman, her Pokemon kept getting stronger. With every defeated Pokemon, Carbink’s power continued to grow and grow at a rapid pace. “Spearow, use peck!” The bird swooped down to attack the rock, but it was very ineffective. In return, the fairy threw a series of rocks that toppled over the Pokemon in flight, crushing him to the ground. The poor bird was pinned down, but was also out for the count. “Dang! Return Spearow. I have one more Pokemon; go Doduo!” A lame looking bird popped out, it looked quite perplexed by the strange rock Pokmeon.

Aphrodite's signature cunning smirk gently curved against her lips as she watched her beloved Carbink take out another one of Peter's bird Pokemon. Bijou was definitely proving itself to be an upcoming powerhouse for her team. "Flawless, Bijou. Bravo!" She praised her Pokemon while keeping her eyes locked onto the battlefield. "Yes, that feeling that you have for flying-types is the exact feeling that I share towards fairy-types! Aphrodite replied with a more welcoming smile. It was kind of pleasant talking to another fellow trainer that specialized in a certain type of Pokemon.

"Oh, you have another Pokemon? Well, that's fine. Let's go for a third knock out. Bijou used Smack Down, again!" She commanded, confident that her Pokemon would be able to take out the Doduo just as easily as it managed to knock out the first two.

Bijou’s strength continued to excel in this battle as it knocked out opponent after opponent, ensuring an almost certain victory for her trainer. “Jeez. Maybe I should switch to fairy type Pokemon…” The bird keeper said quietly, hoping its Doduo wouldn’t hear. Both heads turned back and gave the trainer and angry look, to which he assured them that he was only kidding of course! It was amazing that the bird brains could even hear Peter’s mild comment in the midst of their constant bickering. “Can’t you two get along? You’re making me look really crappy of a trainer right now.” What the two heads were arguing about is beyond the knowledge of Peter, in fact, they probably didn’t even know either.

As the two heads bickered, Peter admired Aphrodite’s strong Carbink and fascinated about what bird Pokemon he hadn’t met before. Carbink was in for the kill now. Aphrodite commanded to genderless crystal to go in for another smack down. With another rock hurling towards the feisty dodo Pokemon, they were out for the count. The heads were finally at peace as they fell over, trampled over the strength of the rocks thrown at them. “Your Pokemon are so strong! How did you get your rock Pokemon to be at such a mighty power level at such an early age? Anyway, I don’t have a gym badge to give your or anything cool like that, but here’s some cash! Thanks for the battle!” Peter returned his Doduo and ran off into the distance to go heal them at a nearby PokeCenter!

One last Smack Down from her Carbink and the Pokemon battle against the bird-loving trainer came to an end. "Outstanding job out their Bijou!" Aphrodite complimented her jewel Pokemon. She gently wrapped her hands around the Carbink's sturdy body and gave it a small hug. "You're almost on the same level as my other fairy-types now." She smiled, hugging her Pokemon a little more before letting it go. Aphrodite would then turn her attention towards her opponent. "A lot of vigorous training is what it takes to raise a strong Pokemon." She replied with a soft smile. "It was a fun battle. Thank you for helping me to train my Carbink." She stated, greatly appreciating the experience that his Pokemon had given Bijou. She took the money from Peter and stuffed it inside of her purse. "Best wishes on your battle against the Violet City Gym Leader!" She shouted out to Peter, waving goodbye to him before turning away and moving back along the path that would lead her even closer towards the next town. Hopefully along the way, she would encounter more Wild Pokemon or tough trainers to battle against.

Bijou floated along side Aphro pretty happy with it's self, it was getting stronger with every battle along side it's trainer. To top that all off she got some nice praise to go along with winning. It could get used to living like this, pretty quickly infact. While moving to the next city, the grass seemed to rustle in the bush next Aphro.

Not a moment after a rather big look pidgey flew out. Squeaking it's little mouth off. Making sure it was seen and heard, it looked like Aphro has wondered into Pidgey territory and this was the alpha the strongest of the flock who will you chose to fight this strong bird. Or will you run in fear?

A smile of contentment was still spread across Aphrodite's face as the aspiring fairy-type trainer continued to travel down the path heading towards her next destination. Overall, she had grown quite pleased her with budding team of Fairy-types. Her Pokemon were truly the definition of beauty, elegance and power in her opinion. However, a small frown soon touched Aphrodite's fair face after hearing a loud, squeaking sound echoed through her sensitive ears. Aphrodite's glittering amber eyes quickly glanced up into the open skies, only to see a fairly large Pidgey flying above her and her Pokemon. The look on the large bird Pokemon didn't seem too happy. Perhaps the Pidgey was upset, because it witness Bijou take out a team of flying-types or maybe the Pidgey was attempting to protect his territory. Either way, Aphrodite felt that Bijou and herself would have to protect themselves. "Quick Bijou use Smack Down!" Aphrodite commanded her Rock/Fairy-type Pokemon. The Carbink floated in front of its trainer in a protective manner as it prepared to make its attack.

Having already defeated a Pidgey along with a few other flying types Bijou was more than ready to defeat another one. Thanks to its increased level it even moved faster than the  poor bird. It had not even learned Quick Attack yet as useless as that would be and so all it could do was watch Bijou approached and hope it could hang on. Bijou had no plans for mercy however as it floated towards the bird before dropping its whole body weight onto the poor bird. With a loud crash Pidgey had fallen in defeat before launching a single move.

As it lie on the ground in excruciating pain it begged for mercy before quickly making a getaway. Pidgey had paid quite a price for picking this fight and it likely would never repeat such a terrible mistake again as Bijou continued to celebrate. For the moment nothing could stop it but there was no telling what might pop out next.
