just battling in route 35 and then do sudowoodo quest so if i can just continue right after it'll be great~
The past couple weeks working in the medical office had been so busy that he ended up staying a little extra, which ended up with nobody in the tunnel because the strangers already reached their destination. Oh, well, at least he won't be seeing anyone familiar like Silver ot he easily angry woman. Not to mention, now he would have enough cash to pay for his Pokemon's food, and maybe get new clothes if the weather gets mercilessly harsh, and cold. Knowing that he would eventually have to move on to the next city anyways, he decided to spend the afternoon exploring the outskirt of Goldenrod City, so he knew what he would encounter when he decided to move to the next city. As the afternoon began to cool, he walked around the tall grass, rustling the ground with every shuffle he made, alerting whatever that lies hidden in the foliage of his presence. He was just taking a peek before he go to next city, that's all.

The Goldenrod grass featured a variety of different Pokemon, some rare and some basic as shit common. There was no telling what one could find if they looked hard enough. But the main question was: what would Alex encounter today? The myriad of different Pokemon available made it so that every encounter was special in its own way. After all, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure! Or so they say.
In the grass rustled a furry little ‘mon, the likes of which many trainers and gym leaders had seen. In fact, it’d be rare for someone to not see one in their lifetime. Or even after the first badge. It had buck teeth capable of gnawing through bone, and speed that excelled many Pokemon in Johto. Rattata popped its head out of the grass to find that it was staring a trainer right in the eyes. It hissed at the man, afraid of what might happen if the field mouse were to try any other tactic of defense. Rattata (level 16) wants to battle!

Hearing a rustle in the grass, Alex looked around and scanned the area, looking for anything unusual. He noticed a small purple thing staring straight at him, and hissing with intimidation. It was a quite common Pokemon known as Rattata. Not really wanting to waste his time, as he was really here to look for exotic Pokemon, he hastily grabbed a Pokeball and sent out a Pokemon to confront the opponent.
"Come on out, Saurobix, start with a Razor Leaf!" he hollered as the Pokeball landed on the ground, popping and shining bright. Then, an Ivysaur was released from the capture device, staring back at the Rattata straight. When the grass and poison type Pokemon was ready, he unleashed a flurry of leaves from underneath the budding flower on his back. The leaves were flying at high speed as the sharp edges inched closer to the opponent.

Rattata hissed and hissed, attempting to scare off the opponent. It didn’t want to lose a battle today, certainly not one with this dumb human who shouldn’t even be here. What was he thinking?! This was Rattata’s territory. The dumb mouse was pissed off that this trainer had the nerve to challenge it to a battle. It barred its sharp fangs, letting Alex know that it wouldn’t end well for him if he decided to be a wise guy.
If Alex’s goal was to dismantle the foe with one hit, he would succeed. The Ivysaur shot out its leaves, decimating the Rattata. There the rat laid, unconscious on the cold winter ground, unaware that this would’ve been the outcome. Of course the pest would wake up in a few hours and then hide away until it gained its strength back, but of course no one wants to get beat up. This was how nature has always been and how it (most likely) always will be, the strong defeating the weak. Now Alex could go on and continue his journey, whether that led him towards a funky dancing tree, or continuing his hunt for a rare critter.
Ivysaur gained 800 exp!Combuskin gained 1 level! Yay!

After the Rattata was beaten, Alex thanked his Pokemon for the help and returned his Ivysaur to his Pokeball. Then, he noticed that the night was getting dark, so he turned around and began returning to his room in Pokemon Center. However, as he was traveling, he made a wrong turn and ended up somewhere else. He saw a bunch of Pidgeys looking injured, and he kneel down as he carefully pick them up and put them away from the side walk so they won't be kicked accidentally. When he was done, he noticed something was off about this area, as the trees seemed to have way more fallen leaves than other parts of Goldenrod that he had been to.
It was getting dark, and he didn't like staying out this late again, especially after his night in Ilex Forest. Though the only good thing this time was that he was in vicinity of a city, and he could probably scream loudly or send one of his Pokemon to look for help. As for now, he's just trying to calm himself about being alone in the dark place. He have his Pokemon now... and there shouldn't be any more ghosts in the city?

Alex was quite right in his assumption that something seemed wrong. The area was void of any trees and there was no real explanation. Alex came upon a house, the lights were on inside, indicating that someone was home. The fences outside were broken and seemed to be punched by a really strong force. As Alex looked at the fence, the front door slammed open and a man charged out. “Hey! You better not be braking more stuff! I knew some kid was the one who was ruining the place!”
The man rushed toward Alex. Upon further and closer inspection, this trainer was much homelier. He had literally almost no teeth left, his life had been plagued by this mysterious vandal, which the rancher had mistaken for Alex. This man was robbed blind by repairs he had to constantly make on his farm as the mysterious villain continued to come and break the place apart. “I knew I’d catch you one day! Furret, help me battle this brat!” The ferret Pokemon hissed and growled, ready to pounce on any Pokemon. Rancher Bernie thinks you’re the culprit! He sent out Furret (level 23).

As he looked around, suddenly a door slammed open, and the jump scare made Alex's feeling afraid again, especially with the dark setting at night. Before he could say anything, the man charged out and accusing him for breaking things. He even sent out a Furret to battle Alex. The young trainer wasn't amused to be accused so quickly.
"Hey! Wait the minute! Why are you accusing me? I just got lost and stumbled here by mistake. What proof do you have that it's me?" He argued back, and after the Furret growled a little, he sent out his Pokemon. He was sort of expecting the man to just attack him with his giant pitchfork right away, but thankfully this was a civil Pokemon battle and not something out of a horror movie with body mutilation. "Come on out, Sarubobix! Use Razor Leaf on the Furret! This one doesn't look as groom as the woman in the Tunnel..." He tossed out his Pokeball and gave an order, and then commented to make a reference to hint how this little Furret don't look like a beauty queen.

Everything happened in a flash, both trainers immediately flaring up into action. The accusative rancher's pokémon slipped in first whilst poor Saurobix was receiving his orders. Before he even knew it the tricksy Furret was sliding up to his side and tampering with his miracle seed! Frisking the plant pokémon down Furret found some way to disable the effects of the powerful item then bound off in a wave of fur. Saurobix wasn't too impressed to say the least, calling after his opponent rather angrily. Shaking himself threateningly and preparing his vicious leaves, the slippery Furret was acting once again before Saurobix could act! It pulled a delicious looking berry from its fur and began to glow a fiery hue. Sparks of light shot from the scouting pokémon as it focused in on what she and her trainer believed to be the vandals of the forest. With a wail Furret released all her energy, using the Occa berry as a focus, enveloping herself in a spiral of flame then dashing toward the ivysaur. Curling into herself she barreled into Saurobix with the flames lashing away. It was an unpleasant hit to say the least. "Hahaha, yeah! Great job sweetie," the pitchfork wielding man chortled before turning a more serious eye back onto the wandering boy. "Well, why else would yah be out 'ere all alone in the dark? No one just wanders in by mistake. I mean, just lookit this place! It used to be a beaut until you hooligans came round."Saurobix snorted at their ignorance and unleashed his razor leaves. The dark made the dangerous blades hard to spot flying so swiftly through the air but Furret managed to at least avoid taking critical damage as they sliced across her fur. "Come on Furret, get in there and unleash some Fury! You know what to do." As the man raised his pitchfork into the air his companion rushed forward and began tearing into Saurobix with her claws a few times. It wasn't as bad as the previous attack but she managed to get in some good strikes. Though, as she turned her back to bound away the ivysaur took his chance to return the favor just as before. vs Rancher Bernie

OOC: Potion then Sleep Powder btw i thikn the occa berry would be consumed
"Why can't I be alone in the dark? Maybe I can't sleep and I need to have a walk? Maybe I just got off work or having a dinner in a restaurant? Or maybe there's a night event going on in Goldenrod City and I got lost? Well, to answer your question, I was the one who got off work and exploring the city a little more. I am new to this town, after all," Alex explained himself, hopefully this man will be reasonable at least. He then hollered his Ivysaur back really quick as he pulled out a potion to let the grass type drink it.
"You're doing great, Saurobix! Hand in there and use a Sleep Powder!" he ordered. He patted his Pokemon before sending him out to battle the furry opponent. The grass type went back out into the fray, readied to take whatever the opponent may dish out, and then prepared a late night pollination.

The rancher continued to cheer on his large ferret, the slim furry snake waving along with every body motion. "Pah! A tourist just explorin' the city... Way out here? What in the world kinda kid wanting to see the night life of the city comes all the way out into this dreary part of the woods at night?" he scoffed. "Dun get me wrong this place used to be a beauty but, well, you know what's been done to it! I'll put a stop to you hoodlums right now!"As the man finished speaking he realized that the stout ivysaur had waddled his way over to receive a potion from his trainer. Curses! If he hadn't been so busy talking his speedy pokémon could've had this at an end. "Oh no you don't! Furret, more swipes are in order!" She squeaked in response, dashing off as the potion finished its work rejuvenating the grass type. The slick ferret slid in and landed a good couple hits, and if it wasn't for some quick maneuvering she may have landed much more. Instead a third swipe barely scraped across Saurobix's leafy back as he retreated away. "Haha! Keep at it Furret don't give 'em any more time tah think. Go in quick!" The Furret did as she was told and darted in like a furry slinky. She picked up speed and rammed into Saurobix. It wasn't nearly as effective as her claws but the damage was starting to build up. Luckily Alex had a plan for dealing with Furret's superior speed. A plan that Saurobix didn't waste any time setting in motion now that his opponent was right next to him. With a nearly point blank spurt a swirl of pollen enveloped Furret and made her droopy. Within seconds she found herself curling up on the ground, snoring away peacefully. "Ah! Furret no! Wake up, we need to teach this troublemaker a lesson!"vs Rancher Bernie

After hearing the rancher's response, Alex decided that explaining to him would be a complete waste of his time. This man just wasn't fit for reasoning, he thought. Then, as the battle continued, he noticed that maybe a single potion just wasn't enough. This Furret was just keeping on going to dwindle down his grass type's health. Thankfully, after the assault of Fury Swipes and Quick Attack, he was able to put the Furret to sleep, for now, and he knew full well that sleep would just be a temporary advantage over his opponent.
Seizing this opportunity, he grabbed a fresh water bottle and went forward to let Saurobix take a quick sip. The grass type smiled as refreshed energy flowed back to him. He was ready to attack this fiend again! Then, Alex ordered his Pokemon for another round of Razor Leaf, hurling razor sharp leaves at high speed at his opponent. After the event in Ilex Forest, Alex would rather waste a healing item than risk fainting his Pokemon.

As Alex refused to answer him Bernie assumed that Alex was still guilty of causing the mess even if he still had no evidence whatsoever. Even so unless he could defeat Alex in a battle his accusation would be meaningless as there was no way Alex would be taken to jail for a crime he did not commit. As desperate as Bernie was to prove the man's gilt all he had was his gut to go by and it was telling him to still try and win this battle. He had gained the upper hand and when Alex went to use a Fresh Water he made his move to wake Furret up so it could attack. " Furret use Quick Attack on that Ivysaur. Now that he has healed it again it will be even harder to beat and we need to do as much damage as we can. " Furret ran towards Saurobix at a blistering speed ramming the grass type with all of it's might. Even with all of the power it had mustered Furret had hardly caused Saurobix to flinch as it's defenses were pretty effective at stopping physical attacks even if it's defenses were even better against ranged ones. Before Saurobix was able to strike however Furret was already in position to strike again. " Nice job Furret now use Quick Attack again before it can get an attack off." Running towards the grass type again Furret rammed him as hard as it could but the grass type was still standing and in rather recent good health for the moment but that was about to change. Saurobix launched a series of leaves at high speed towards the normal type trying to catch it off guard and sure enough it worked. Furret was struck by a continuous stream of leaves, their razor like sharpness caused the Furret great pain as it tried to endure and stay in the fight a little while longer. Furret could hardly stand by the time it was done, it was clear that it was ready to go down with the next decent hit but so long as it could stand the normal type Pokemon refused to give in. vs Rancher Bernie

Alex yet out a yawn, not because he was bored, but because he was getting sleepy as it was getting late. The two Pokemon exchanged attacks as he covered his mouth and yawned. It appeared that the opponent was trying to take advantage of their healing by using speedy attacks to wear down the health Saurobix had just recovered. Thankfully, his Pokemon was quite a sturdy one and could hold his own against this rapid slamming Furret. After the grass type had unleashed another Razor Leaf, Alex could see that his opponent was struggling to stand still much longer. The effect of Razor Leaves had worn down the opponent's endurance.
"Hang in there, Saurobix! Use another Razor Leaf!" He shouted his order, and then resumed talking. "Okay, let's be honest. I'm not tall enough to reach your trees. If I did it, then you would find my fingerprints in a ladder... But I haven't touch a ladder in a long while too!" He shook his head as he couldn't believe that he was still being accused of such crime. In an outdoor. He's not the most outdoor person here.

Though what Alex was saying had unraveled any evidence Bernie had against him he still would not concede. The battle had even turned against him and yet the stubborn farmer kept hoping for a miracle so that someone would pay for the crime. As he got ready to unleash another round of quick attack that miracle seemed to come into being as Furret began to shake before he even said a word. Seeing this as a sign to go all in Bernie ordered his Pokemon to attack before his moment to turn things around vanished. " What you are saying is starting to make sense but I do not trust you, Furret use quick attack and maybe we can scare the truth out of him."Furret took off like a bullet running towards Saurobix with an amazing amount of power as it collided with the dinosaur scoring a CRITICAL HIT. The attack had been absolutely brutal but even at maximum power it could not bring him down but the Ivysaur was going to make sure that Furret went down for good this time after causing so much damage. Firing a Razor Leaf at his foe the normal type hit the ground as soon as one of the razor sharp leaves connected with it's skin knocking it out cold. Bernie had no remaining Pokemon and by now had come to terms that he had blamed the wrong man for the crime. Begrudgingly recalling his Pokemon he was forced to admit he was wrong. " Whippersnapper I do believe I was wrong about you, I guess you are innocent after all. I want you to have this prize money as a small payment for your troubles but before you go I have a favor to ask. I reckon you are angry about the false accusations but please hear me out. " As he cleared his throat he told Alex about the paths of berries of his property and was begging him for help. " There are three trails with different amounts of berries along them and I reckon that whoever caused all of this trouble must be using those trails as a means of getting about, would you do this old farmer a favor and track down the real culprit? I do not have much else but I do have some berries I can give you if you bring the real troublemaker to justice."vs Rancher Bernie
Furret | Level 23 | Frisk HP: 0% (0/79) Status: KO'ed Used Quick Attack(CRITICAL HIT); Used Quick Attack x2
VS.
Saurobix | Level 27 | | Overgrow HP: 25% (20/77) Status: Normal Saurobix used Razor Leaf!
Bernie has been defeated. He hands you 470 poke for your victory. Saurobix gains 1150 exp and +1 happiness. He is now level 28 and has +5 happiness. He has 712/2437 exp needed to level up. He is trying to learn Growth but he can only know 4 moves. Would you like him to forget a move to learn Growth? Rosthrem gains 1 level thanks to her Experience share and she is now level 25. She has 0/1951 exp required to level up. She is trying to learn Quick Attack but she can only know 4 moves. Would you like her to forget a move so she can learn Quick Attack?

Growth over Take Down use 1 fresh water to heal 50 hp + whatever hp/max hp from level up box combusken and take out chikorita, put exp share on chiko <3
The battle continued as usual, and the old farmer was still as McStubborn as usual. He heard the farmer said some more things accusing of him, but Alex paid no attention to that and just kept his eyes on the battle. The Furret was definitely taking advantage of her speed with Quick Attack to strike Saurobix fast, but thanks to his wit to heal his Pokemon and then attack again, the furry Pokemon couldn't keep up with his recovery skill. That would be either be pathetic or strategic, depending who you ask.
Just as he was collecting his prize winning, the farmer was now asking for his help. He groaned a little, as if battling a stubborn man wasn't enough, now he would have to help him. He chuckled a little, and then replied, "Heh, first you accused me and now you're asking me for help. Those berries better worth my time. I'll help you out and track the criminal. This sounds like something fun..." He smiled and headed toward the left path, walking slowly because it was a bit dark.
