Please replace my team. Instead of Denki the Electrike, Sleipnir the Ponyta, Pax the Togepi, Tor the Zubat, Yokina the Pichu, and Sirius the Growlithe, can I have Easter Egg, Skyjewel the Taillow, Datsu the Froakie, Otoko the Fletchling, Prince the Ralts and Suniku the Eevee? Now that Haley had the Zephyr badge, she had her sights set on the next gym battle, in Azalea Town. However, first she had a bit of walking to do. However, she found the jaunt a good time to train her newer teammates. Hopefully, she could also bulk up her team.
However, first she had to trade out her Pokemon. The trainer headed directly from the gym to the Pokemon Center. There, she recalled Tor, whom had been fluttering cheerfully over her head, Pax, whom had been bouncing in her arms, and Denki, whom had been trotting gaily at her heel. They, alongside the rest of her team, were deposited in the PC Box. She then pulled out five Pokeballs, and an egg. The Pokeballs were attached to her belt, and she cradled the egg in her arms like she had been cradling Pax moments before.
She clunked out onto Route 32, detaching the Pokeballs one by one. First to be released was a pretty green bird that seemed to sparkle for a moment after forming. It screeched loudly, spreading its wings, before taking to the sky, immediately beginning an aerial display. Next was a small blue, frog-like creature that croaked before hopping to her side. Then was a red and black bird not dissimilar to the first, which took to the sky and began to playfully chase after the other. Then came a small, child-like creature with what seemed to be a trailing robe. Its head swiveled slowly as though taking in everything around it. Lastly was a small, fluffy fox-like critter. It sniffed the air delicately before strutting to her side.
Haley moved as though to begin to walk deeper into the route, but stopped as though remembering something. She reached into her rucksack, scowling until she found what she was looking for. She pulled out an odd looking cookie and quickly ate it.

The gentle draft of light snow wafting quietly to the ground covered the route in a wash of white as Haley and Co. trekked down the path toward Azalea. It was a quiet day, the grey clouds above muting the sun's glow and leaving the general area in a near monotonous state. The only thing of color seemed to be Haley's shining pokémon and the firs toughing out the winter season. As the young trainer continued through the snowy trail, caressing the bright blue egg nestled in her arms, there was a cracking sound. The egg trembled. Another noise caused a visible jagged line to zigzag along the egg. It was hatching! Having been kept cooped up in that box for so long it seemed whoever was beneath the blue shell was finally ready after just a little bit of attention. The warmth of Haley's body was enough for the baby pokémon to awaken and shove the top of the egg shell off: revealing a bright pink face. Congratulations!A cleffa hatched from the Aurora Egg! The baby giggled at the cookie in Haley's mouth, seemingly unbothered by the chill of winter. However, not a few seconds after a harrowing shriek rang out from the near bare forest. There didn't appear to be anyone around, scanning the edge of the forest for anything that moved. Then, suddenly, a little tree stump burst from the snow and rose into the air; hovering for a moment while a shady body began to form around it. Red eyes flashed to life and bore into Haley. The strange being then rushed forward, ghostly arms outstretched and reaching toward the girl. A Phantump (Lv 6) has appeared and is racing closer! What will Haley do?

Haley finished the cookie, beginning to wipe the crumbs from the mouth, when she felt the egg in the crook of her arm shift. It seemed to tremble, and jump, nearly leaping from her arms. She quickly reached to adjust it, wrapping both arms around the cyan egg to prevent it from falling. The trainer lowered herself to the ground so that, if the egg did fall, the distance would be minimal.
With a loud 'crack!' the egg began to open up, a jagged crack opening up along the rim. The crack spread out, tiny jagged cracks reaching out from the original. With another loud sound, the tapered end popped off, revealing a tiny pink face. Stubby arms stretched up towards her as though asking to be scooped up, and she complied. Haley carefully pulled the Pokemon from its confines, carefully cradling it in the crook of an arm while setting the rest of its egg on the floor with the other.
“Cleffa?” the little creature asked, reaching up to tug on Haley's hair.
“Hello there, tiny.” the trainer murmured, shifting her grip to hold the Pokemon in the air and look it over. Her PokeDex vibrated in her pocket and she carefully entered in the new Pokemon's information. “Tiny... can I call you that? Tiny?”
Seemingly agreeable, the Cleffa cheered its name happily.
However, the moment was quickly ruined as a bone-chilling scream rent the air. Haley jumped violently, unthinkingly curling slightly around the baby Pokemon as she stood to look for the source of the sound. The two flying Pokemon tumbled slightly, their wings freezing up in surprise. The Cleffa clung to her shirt with a whimper, hiding his face. The three ground-bound Pokemon rushed to her heels, crowding together in fright.
Suddenly a small tree-stump became animated, bursting into the air in an explosion of snow. Shadows seemed to create limbs and a tail, while two red eyes glowed from holes in its trunk. Without thinking, Haley stepped back as the odd Pokemon charged at her, Datsu hopped forward the meet it. In an attempt at preventing the Pokemon from reaching his trainer, Datsu released a torrent of Bubbles at it.
Haley fumbled the PokeDex from her pocket and aimed it at the Pokemon. 'Phantump: the Stump Pokemon. These Pokémon are created when spirits possess rotten tree stumps. They prefer to live in abandoned forests.'
“Then what is it doing here?” Haley murmured.

Cleffa looked up lovingly at the trainer, happy that her new mom was so cheerful and kind to see her. In the tough world of Pokemon, Tiny would find that he’d be in good hands alongside Haley and her band of creatures. Although Cleffa’s hatching was very special, in front of Haley stood a rare ghost Pokemon, the likes of which many Johto citizens will never see in their lifetime. Haley would be quite the lucky gal to see this exquisite monster, even more lucky if she were to catch it! The rivals and trainers that battle her would be in for quite the surprise when they met this little stump.
Datsu went in for a bubble attack, lightly soaking the foe in a bath of water. Phantump looked confused, that really didn’t hurt at all! It was time to retaliate, the tree let out a high pitched scream, hurting the poor frogs ears. Cleffa watched on the sidelines, amazed by the battle. He wanted to be able to do that one day! Battle

Haley studied the Stump Pokemon warily, clutching the tiny Cleffa protectively. She wondered over its moveset, whether it only knew defensive moves or if it was pose an offensive threat. The trainer found herself shifting the Cleffa into the crook of one arm, sliding an empty Poke Ball to the other, fingering it thoughtfully. Ghost-types were lacking on her team, and it might prove a boon to her in the future. Perhaps...
She was drawn from her thoughts by a God-awful screeching sound, the Phantump dropping its jaw and making a sound like a banshee. If she had any hands left, she would've covered her ears but, instead, all she could do was cringe. The two bird Pokemon dropped to the ground, ruffling their feathers. Suni cowered against Haley's heels, flattening his ears against his head. Datsu and Prince cried out, bringing their hands up to cover their ears.
“Datsu, are you alright?” the trainer called, wondering if her Pokemon might be outmatched.
The Froakie nodded and, as though to prove so, released another Bubble attack.

The little frog proved that he still had a lot of fight in him, regardless of whether or not the battle was going in his way or not. He’d fight until the end, even if it meant that his trainer had to go on without him. Although the stump Pokemon was strong, Datsu was also quite the powerhouse. Although his current stats did not display his true power, his potential exceeded the foe’s immensely. The Protean hidden ability could destroy any foe, so this Phantump had better watch out.
The ghost Pokemon looked puzzled at the trainer, why was this trainer using a Pokemon that was weak against grass types? At first the tree had figured that the trainer had simply just forgotten or not known that Phantump was a grass Pokemon, but now it was quite obvious. It was no use to continue pondering on it, after all, this is working well in Phantump’s favor. More bubbles flowed out of Froakie’s mouth, doing little harm to Phantump’s defenses. The stump let out another astonish, proving its power once more on the battle field. BATTLE

Haley grimaced as Datsu's attack proved to do little to the odd-looking Ghost-type. A sudden thought hit her, and she pulled her Pokedex back out, flicking her eyes over the Pokemon's stats. 'Type... Ghost/Grass!' she face-palmed, shaking her head. “I'm such an idiot!” Her Pokemon jumped at the sudden sound of her voice.
“Datsu! Come back here!” the Froakie obediently hopped back to her side; although he wasn't happy to be taken out of the fight, he was beginning to feel tired and weak and probably wouldn't have lasted another round. “I'm sorry bud, that was my fault. I didn't notice.”
She quickly glanced over her team, before making a decision. “Prince, it's your turn. The little Ralts shuffled forward to face the Phantump. “Use Confusion!”

The dead leaves dangling off of the possessed stump shivered as Phantump huffed. It seemed the trainer had finally figured out why their little frog wasn't very effective against the fearsome ghost. As the new pokémon came out to face Phantump the ghastly being raised its obscurely shaped arms and oooOOOoooOO'd at the psychic being to try and instill some fear and give it an edge. But Prince would remain strong for his trainer. She needed him! Following her instruction the little psychic focused in on his opponent and made his vision shift into a swirl of color. Eyes spinning, Phantump groaned as the attack set in. It grabbed its wooden head and tried to shake it off but the attack was certainly more effective than those bubbles... but Prince wasn't the only one that could throw around disorienting moves! With a wail the ghostly stump returned the attempted effect; though this didn't do any damage directly. Prince caught caught in those deep glowing eyes and found his mind falling into an abyss of confusion. The ralts stumbled back, barely keeping standing as he tried to shake off the confusion. Haley frowned, shifting her feet as she observed the Ralts. It was his first battle, and against an unknown Pokemon nonetheless. The little Pokemon didn't seem much affected by the Phantump's juvenile attempt at scaring him, moaning like a child wearing a bed-sheet on Halloween. In fact, the little Pokemon reminded her very much of a little child.
The trainer praised the psychic-type when he landed his attack, eyes swirling in color. The Phantump wobbled, gripping its head and shaking it violently. She was startled when it used a similar move, locking eyes with Prince and causing him to totter backwards. “Prince? You okay?” she called, watching the Ralts stagger about drunkenly.
Haley eyed the Phantump, watching it wobble slightly. She couldn't wait for it to faint before she captured it – although she'd captured fainted Pokemon before, she'd heard from others that, after receiving a badge, fainted Pokemon would be rescued by their comrades. She couldn't understand why they wouldn't do it before that too, considering they were still comrades, but Pokemon will do what Pokemon will do.
Ordering Prince to stand back, Haley enlarged an empty Pokeball and lobbed it at the Phantump, hoping to catch it.

Success! It seemed the two were on a more even playing field now. At least in the sense that both of their heads were swimming. Phantump was certainly in worse shape, but at least it knew which way was up. This would be its chance! Though, with the delicious cookie gone what was the point? That sad thought stopped the phantump from taking advantage of Prince's confusion, holding its own head as it tried to think about the situation it was in. But Haley didn't hesitate though. A pokéball soared through the air and bopped the ghost in its stump head. There was a second of surprise on its face before it was sucked into the device in a wash of light. The ball dropped to the ground. The button glowed a bright red and a satisfying click signaled a successful capture like there wasn't any resistance at all. Perhaps the phantump believed there was a possibility of more tasty treats if it stuck around. VICTORY!

Denki bounced back to his trainer's heels, watching as she prepared a Poke Ball. It flew through the air at his opponent, and quite frankly he found himself hoping it didn't land. He didn't think he could survive its shrieking.
However, the Poke Ball shook once, twice, three times, and 'dinged!', signaling a successful capture. Suni darted forward, picking up the Poke Ball and returning it to his trainer. Haley scanning it with her Pokedex, quickly skimming over the Phantump's information before pressing the button to send it to the PC.
She pulled a blackberry from her rucksack, offering it to the Froakie. “Thank you, Denki, you did very well.”
Readjusting her cane and backpack, the trainer headed back into town, quickly changing out some of her team and heading out. She hesitated before entering the Store, buying a thermos full of soup before heading back out to Route 32.
“Suni!” Haley called, watching the Eevees sniffing around at the base of a tree. “What do you have?” He bounded up to her, looking at her innocently. She removed a bell from his mouth, gleaming a pretty silver. However, it looked oddly familiar... “Did you take this off of Yokina!” she snorted. “Looks like you might fit in after all.”
The trainer removed a collar from her backpack, attaching the Soothe Bell where the tags should go. The Eevee accepted the collar, shaking his head to fix the ruffled fur about his neck.
With that done, the team began to explore Route 32 once more.

As Haley and her Pokemon continued to explore route 32 it did not take her long to find another wild Pokemon. From a nearby patch of grass a young Bellsprout walked out in front of her with a puzzled look on it's face. The plant Pokemon was used to seeing trainers but the sight of an Eevee caught it off guard. They were a very rare sight indeed as they were highly sought after and most trainers were too protective to allow one to walk freely. As stunning as the sight of an Eevee wad Bellsprout was not happy enough just yet. The plant Pokemon wanted to battle to see just how strong Haley was. It had not fought a worthy opponent in a while and any trainer with an Eevee had to be tough. The grass type Pokemon wiggled it's thin stalk like body while saying "Bellsprout." trying to make it's intentions known. As Bellsprout was really common most trainers would keep on walking but this particular one was not going to allow her to ignore it's request for a battle no matter how hard she might try. Bellsprout were respected in the area for their resilience and this one was living up to that respected attribute as it moved closer to Haley. Once the plant knew she had no choice but to battle it took up a pose to try and make itself look tough before the battle could begin. It had to take advantage of anything it could think of to give itself the edge. Waiting for Haley to make a move was a tough task for it as it did not want to delay a battle but it also could not risk giving her the upper hand. A wild level 8 Bellsprout would like to battle! Please select a Pokemon.

Haley's team was rapidly growing, whether from purchases, captures, or not-so-legal transactions. Even now she'd just added a new Pokemon, a ghost-type not normally found in the region.
With her now she had three Pokemon she'd bought, one she'd won at a fair, and two she'd captured. Her team was diverse, as well, most not native to the region. Truly, Haley was growing as a trainer, and had been doing so in the several years she'd been a trainer.
Skyjewel, a bird Pokemon whom was native to the region but a different color from most of her species, flew cheerily overhead, happily riding thermals with little effort. Hiei, a monkey Pokemon whom was native to the area, happily played in the trees, leaping from branch to branch. Snatch, a cat Pokemon whom was native to a nearby city, stalked lazily at Haley's heel, soft cream fur brushing against her ankle with each step. On Haley's other side was Suniko, or Kuni, a fox Pokemon whom wasn't native to the region. Her long, fluffy fur ghosted Haley's leg with each bound he made to match her pace. Denki, a frog Pokemon not native to the region, and Prince, a humanoid Pokemon whom was, both ambled side by side, the frog Pokemon hopping at a sedate pace to match Prince's slow shuffle.
Haley was in no hurry, walking slowly along the Route, simply taking everything in. The air was crisp, and clean, and she saw no reason to rush into the nearby cave area, which would surely be dark, and musty.
However, they weren't alone. A little grass Pokemon, looking like an upside-down plant bulb, scrambled out in front of them. How it managed to walk on feet like plant roots was a problem for another day, as it made its challenge clear.
Haley looked over the little grass-type, quickly thinking over the Pokemon that walked alongside her. Denki was instantly out, as he had a type disadvantage. Prince had just finished a battle, so she wanted him to rest. Skyjewel had a type advantage, but...
Finally, she made a decision. “Kuni!” she called on the Eevee. It bounded forward from his place at her heels, instantly crouching into a battle ready position. “Use Tackle!”

As the Kuni took his position in front of Bellsprout the grass type tilted it's head a bit confused by Haley's choice but that did not matter. Bellsprout had challenged her to a battle and any Pokemon that it could battle was worth the effort to prove itself as a worthy Pokemon and beating a popular Pokemon like Eevee might just be the break it needed. The plant Pokemon gave Kuni a blank stare as it watched it's foe carefully knowing Eevee were not a fast Pokemon nor a strong one but being fragile itself Bellsprout had to increase it's power quickly before Eevee could find a way to wear it down. Bellsprout spread out the leaves at the ends of it's arms and started to take in the suns rays. The energy provided by the sun allowed it considerable growth and it's strength was increased as a result. Kuni grew a bit nervous as his target was bigger than it first appeared but as a master of adaptability he was able to overcome the increased size of his foe by aiming for the middle of it's legs. The tackle knocked Bellsprout off balance as it fell to the ground. As it recovered and climbed to it's feet the plant was very angry. It might have been merciful in the first round but now Kuni had asked for it's rage. The next round would not be far off and Bellsprout would likely give Kuni a run for his money in the next round as it was not pleased by his attack at all. As soon as possible it intended to lash out at him.

Haley frowned, watching as the Bulbasaur stretched its... hands? Petals? Face tilted towards the sky. For a moment she wondered what it was doing, but as the grass-type seemed to swell, bathed in sunlight, she realized that it was using Growth. Mentally, she shook her head. She'd encountered very few wild Pokemon, or any for that matter, whom started off the battle with a status effecting move. Nontheless, she had faith that Kuni could handle this.
The little Eevee started as his opponent suddenly grew bigger, but shook his fluffy fur in an attempt to discard any misgivings he had. Haley had sent him into battle. Haley had trusted he could do this. He wouldn't let his trainer down. He adjusted his target aiming now for the middle of its legs instead of its torso, and ramming head on into the Bellsprout.
Suniku shook his head to rid himself of the stars dancing about in his head from the force of the attack, planting his feet into the ground. He stared down the angry Bellsprout, baring his teeth and bristling his fur. “I won't lose to you!”
Haley eyed the stand-off and, although she couldn't understand the Eevee, she could get the gist of his sentiment. “You can do this, Kuni! Use Tackle again!”
Kuni the Eevee used Tackle again!
