As Sarara walked towards another battle a strange sounding cry came from a patch of grass nearby, as weird as the noise was however the appearance of the bug Pokemon as it crawled from the grass was very familiar to her. The Ladyba that came out of the grasshad a tiny bit more experience than the last one she had battled but it was still on the young side and seeing her sent the bug into a panic. The last time Ladyba got into a battle with a stranger it was pecked into submission by a trainer and their crazy Spearow so it was not looking forward to getting into another battle. Even so it was not going to just roll over and be a punching bag for the human if a battle was unavoidable. Ladyba watched Sarara very carefully knowing just how dangerous letting its guard down could be. The painful defeat it had suffered from the reckless Spearow a while back had taught it to be a very cautious Pokemon and this was very much a case of avoiding trouble if it could. Ladbya hardly moved once it backed up to the edge of the grass just in case a battle did start it could use it for some kind of trouble. Even with all of its efforts to avoid a confrontation it was up to Sarara to decide if she would challenge the bug or not as Ladyba had no escape route and it would look like even more of a wimp than when it lost to the last trainers Spearow if it ran off now. A wild Ledyba (Level 9) would like to battle. Would you like to battle or flee?

Sarara watched as the Ladyba appeared and studied it a little. It seemed a bit scared and cautious, she could understand that. She didn't to be mean to it now. She couldn't do that to others, more so a Pokemon. She sighed slightly and then looked down to her Ratata Marchel. "Hey Marchel, a slight change of plans," She told her Pokemon. Marchel's face didn't look happy, in fact, he looked annoyed. "Let me guess, you want it to run away?" Marchel asked her, an angry tone in his voice. Sarara was a bit shocked at the tone, she never expected that.
"No, I want to catch it. It will be good for my Pokede-" Sarara started before being interrupted. "Catching it? You can if you want. You said we would train" Marchel responded his tail flicking harshly. "We will, come on, give it a hard tackle!" Sarara ordered pointing to the Ladyba. Marchel seemingly scoved and ran towards the Ladyba. Sarara noticed something odd with the tackle though. "Hey, Marchel! That's Quick Attack, not Tackle! What are you doing?!!" Sarara cried out getting no answer in response. Sarara did not understand what was up with him, hopefully, she could get whatever it was out of him. After all, the last thing she wants is him one day hitting a trainer or even her.

The ledyba was not focused on what the trainer and the rattata were talking about. It was more focused on developing some strategy to leave this battle just a bit better than the last. Finally, the quick little scurrying Pokemon made its move, breaking the ledyba's thinking process. The bug-type tried to dodge before the rat Pokemon could attack it, but Marchel was just too quick in that moment to avoid. The still-frightened (however, determined to win) wild ledyba definitely felt the damage of the move, but it was more in the advantage it could use that it found. If the Pokemon and its trainers communication lacked as it just had, it may give it a chance to find a way to pull through! It sure wasn't going to let the brown-haired trainer and its rat Pokemon make another mockery of the bug-type, there was no way it was going to flee from this battle. The ledyba's plan of attack was to land a Supersonic attack onto the Pokemon to confuse it, and match that up with the miscommunication between the trainer and the Pokemon, voila! The perfect recipe for the bug-type to come out of this battle actually conscious. The plan wouldn't go as well as first planned, however. The attack missed and the rattata would potentially get another chance to strike again. The humid weather was tiring to the bug pokemon. Tired, scared, embarrassed, and frustrated. It did not make for a very happy Pokemon. Wild PKMN Battle Weather Status: Clear Wild Ledyba | Level 9 Health : 82% (23/28 HP)Status : Normal Used Supersonic! Attack missed! Sarara's Marchel | Level 5 | Guts Health : 100% (19/19 HP)Status : Normal Used Quick Attack!

Marchel stood there studying the Ledyba with a small smirk after the supersonic missing. "Is that all you got? Too bad, for you" Marchel stated still determined to beat the bug. Sarara meanwhile tried to grab Marchel but he was too fast. "Marchel, you got to stop!" Sarara called out to him. Marchel just scoffed and shook his head. "What, so you can catch it? No way! I'm fighting!" Marchel shouted back at her. "Now time for round two" Marchel stated as she started to go for another quick attack. However, before it could start Sarara ran in front of him, causing him to run into her knocking her down, as she fell she wrapped her arms around him. Marchel tried to wiggle free but couldn't. "Get off me!" Marchel shouted at her who just shook her head. "No! Your being mean Marchel! You're being a bully! Training isn't all about making Pokemon faint! It is about working together! You could be the world's strongest Ratata and still be weak! Cause without friendship and teamwork, you'll never be strong!" Sarara explained as some tears fell.
This shocked Marchel, she was crying because of him. He stopped wiggling and rest his head on her. "I'm sorry...." He stated softly, "I'm sorry I hurt you...." Sarara wiped her tears away and smiled a little. "I'm your trainer, I will always be here for you, I never give up on my pokemon. Now come on, we got a bug to catch!" Sarara called out making Marchel smile. He jumped off Sarara and helped her up with his head. She brushed herself off before pointing to the Ledyba. "Go! Quick Attack then follow it up with another!" Sarara ordered Marchel nodding. "Quick Attacks coming right up!" He answered back to her as he started to run, 'I have to make it up to her' He thought.

Nowhere near as strong of power as teamwork and dedication, fear and frustration are still strong powers, however. And whether it intended to or not, the Pokemon wouldn't have much of a choice. Fear likes to take over people. So does frustration. The trainer's rattata would start off the next round of battle, dealing a critical amount of damage to the ledyba with a Quick Attack. While the ledyba had a faster speed, there is no way it could be faster than Marchel while he used his Quick Attack. The ledyba, now straggling slightly behind, hit the pink rat Pokemon with a Swift attack, shooting star-shaped rays at him. It was impossible that they would miss, all finding their target like heat-seeking missiles onto the trainer's rattata. Even after dealing a good amount of damage, the ledyba would not get a chance to celebrate or get ready for its next attack. Marchel was back with another Quick Attack faster than the ledyba could've even imagined, sending the ledyba flying backwards. With a slight hint of struggle the ledyba resumed its closer position in the air and dove towards Marchel with a big Tackle attack. It did not want to lose to the Rattata and it's trainer and would fight until the very end; regardless of how dire the situation may become. Wild PKMN Battle Weather Status: Clear Wild Ledyba | Level 9 Health : 28% (8/28 HP)Status : Normal Used Swift! Used Tackle! Sarara's Marchel | Level 5 | Guts Health : 31% (6/19 HP)Status : Normal Used Quick Attack! CRITICAL HIT! Used Quick Attack!

Marchel breathed heavily watching the Ledyba closely, "How's....that?" He asked Sarara who smiled at him. "That was good, how are you feeling?" She answered before asking a question back. Marchel took more breathes as he thought about that. Felt better, but I am okay. Those were some good hits by them" Sarara could only nod at that before grabbing something out her bag. "Alright, go on Standby! Pokeball GO!" With a flick of her wrist, she threw a Pokeball at the Ledyba, hoping to get it. Marchel stood there ready, waiting just in case the ledyba came back out. You could never be too careful after all. Sarara crossed her fingers, please work the first time.

The rattata hit hard, that was for sure, but it was not as bad as the spearow it had met earlier. Maybe, just maybe it stood a chance here, it would be a close call though especially since the rat was so darn fast! The best chance it had would be to get so high up Marchal couldn't reach it and then bombarding it with its stars, if its wings could just take it there, it felt the exhausting already and it feared it didn't have the strength to pull it off. Where it hadn't paid attention to what the trainer and her pokemon was saying to each other, it couldn't help but hear that they technically praised it and it made it blush a bit. It missed what Sarara said but noticed that Marchal got into position again and it shook its head to clear its head of the fussy warm feeling the praise had given it. It looked determined, it was now or never! It would either manage this plan it had or it would fail miserably and would be sore for days to come. And easy prey for wild birds that it came across. It buzzed its small wings fast and with a grimace began to climb higher, Marchal didn't move but the ledyba knew he could be at it in an instant and it had already wasted too much time. The ledyba's full attention was on Marchal and it noticed too late what they were planning to do. Just before the pokeball hit its target on the belly, it noticed but it was too late to try to dodge. The ledyba disappeared in a flash of red and the pokeball dropped to the ground, where it began to wiggle vigorously! First to the right... Then to the left... Sarara was silent for a few seconds as she saw the confirmation from the Pokeball. She then began to smile before grabbing Marchal and giving him a hug as she jumped up and down. "We did it! Wohoooooo!" She called out making Marchal smile, he liked seeing her happy. "Yes, we did it. Thanks to you" Marchal stated making Sarara stop jumping. "Thanks to both of us you mean. Now then, shall w get you another battle or two?" That made Marchal smile and nod as Sarara placed him back down. Sarara picked up the Pokeball of their new friend and stored it away for later. For now, she and Marchal walked along waiting to see what other Pokemon they would find.

A thick cloudlike fog covered the region. At first, it slowly slipped over the scene building it's intensity to hide and obscure the world around it. A young Bird Keeper carried a large metallic structure in one hand and held onto a small red-and-white spherical structure in another hand. He paused and placed the metallic cage down on the grassy earthen ground and placed the Pokeball up in his pocket. The young brunette placed one hand over his eyes as if to protect the from the sunlight that battled and fought with the dense fog to cast its glow down on the ground below. "Yom, Spearz, you ok up there?!" The young bird keeper's voice bellowed up towards the obscured heavens above. A bird up above whose pink and brown colors were barely noticeable cawed from being up so high in the sky. It circled, turning its wings and body as it flapped overhead. The Spearow craned its head down to scan the ground below it. Was that a Pokemon? A very large and impressive greyish blob stood out amongst the silhouette of trees. The avian narrowed its eyes and dived a bit closer to the ground below to get a better look. It's shrill caw caught the attention of its trainer, who came rushing to its side. Peter collected the metallic cage in one hand as he ran. His thundering footsteps announced his presence, and he fished a Pokeball out of his pocket. "I got ya now ya lil devil Pok- Oh, hi?!"Peter came to a skidding stop in front of Sarara. The image of a sleek brunette trainer caught him off-guard. The abrupt stop caused his cage that he was carrying haphazardly n his hand to bounce off the back of his knees and he whispered a pained curse underneath his breath. "I thought you were a Pokemon! But uh....since we locked eyes, I guess we gotta battle? Whaddya say?" Spearow dived towards the earth as a blazing speed, catching itself in time to land on its owner's shoulder. He nodded to his Pokemon, then pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it in the air to release another feathered Pokemon with a click of a button. Bird Keeper Peter is challenging you to a Battle!"He sent out Pidgey [Level 11]. 1-42RvLSwLFz

Sarara and Marchel were surprised when a thick load of fog rolled in. "Woahhhh, stay close to me Marchel. We don't want to get lost" Sarara said to him as Marchel nodded, "Indeed, maybe we should have checked the forecast before coming out" That could only make Sarara chuckle with a smile, what can she say? She wasn't one to watch the news or weather, she found it boring. She would rather go out and deal with whatever the world gives her. But it wasn't long after that they heard this clanging sound. Sarara raised a brow confused before she saw something come skidding to a stop in front of her. "Woahhhhh! Hello, you okay?" She said, hoping this guy with a cage was okay. Though she didn't understand the point of a cage. Cages catch and hold things, but isn't that what Pokeballs are for?
Marchel looked up and saw a Pidgey with them, didn't Sarara say Falkner had one? Marchel smirked at that, if they battled maybe he could get a feel for how the gym battle was like. "Hm, a battle you say? Okay, sure! You ready Marchel?!" Sarara said before looking to Marchel next to her. He nodded readily as the two backed up a bit to give some space. "Alright then, Marchel, start things off with a nice Quick Attack!" Sarara ordered before Marchel began to race off towards the Pidgey that was chosen. Just how tough were these birds? Were they easy or were they truly gym worthy? I guess Marchel would wait and see. He just knew to not give up, he had to make it up to Sarara after all.

Peter snapped to attention as the young lady accepted his proposal of a pokemon battle, this would be another chance for him to continue training his avian bunch, one day he was sure that he would take over the gym leader duties for Violet City and he was determined to be ready for whenever that day occurred. The brunette young lady had sent her normal type pokemon in the form of a Rattata into battle, the mouse pokemon moved swiftly towards Peter's Pidgey as it crashed its body into the flying type pokemon with its Quick Attack move. Peter looked on impressed at the speed that Sarara's Rattata had just put on display, "Oh damn, that there Rattata of yours has some toe about it don't it"Peter looked towards his flying type partner in Pidgey as it returned to its feet after having been knocked over, the avian looked a little startled at the speed that its opponent had just showcased. "Okay Pidgey, now let's answer back with your Gust attack!"Peter's Pidgey recovered from Marchel's initial Quick Attack move however was clearly worse off for wear as a decent amount of damage had been dealt by the move. Peter's avian pokemon begun to flap its wings at a high speed as a strong gust of wind was produced that blew Marchel over. Peter smiled as he looked over towards where Sarara stood, he was confident that his experience in battle would help him overcome the new challenge that he had been presented with. About time I used this again, x3
191 words Marchel using Quick Attack!
@mod @helper Sarara could only chuckle at Peter's comment about Marchel. "Yeah, he is a quick one, Marchel is a brave Rattata for sure" Sarara responded with a smile, there had been some troubles but she and Marchel were getting there, that mattered the most. That made a nice feeling in Marchel's little heart. He was learning what teamwork truly was. "Thanks, now what move is next?" Marchel called out most likely sounding like normal Rattata cries to Peter. "Hm... that is a good question...." Sarara responded as she tried to think, she wasn't sure. She didn't want to repeat moves too much.
"Could I suggest Quick Attack again? I don't think I can take too many more of that wind" Marchel suggested to her making her nod slowly. "Alright, sounds good, flick ya tail if you need a heal buddy, go give another Quick Attack!" Sarara agreed, making Marchel spring forward into action once more. He had to hit this once more before another attack came his way. Marchel had no way to tell which one of them was stronger than the other. He just had to believe he can do it.

“He sure seems the part,” the aspiring trainer said, “but we aren’t going down without a fight!” The opposing Pokemon had frightening speed, Peter could see, but he knew this was just round one of the battle. He and his avian Pokemon were determined to win this, even if it was going to be a very challenging fight. The opposing Pokemon’s speed with Quick Attack was too fast for his Pidgey to make any sort of move before the rattata did. He knew he’d have to try something a little different. “Alrigh-” Baamm! Before Peter could even give a move for his Pokemon to attack with, the rattata was already upon the pidgey. The speed of the rat seemed like a blur, but with each hit the pidgey grew weaker and weaker. “Pidgey! Pid- pidgey!” His pidgey ruffled her feathers a bit and gave a look back to her trainer. She wasn’t going to give up so how could he? “Pidgey attack with Sand Attack!” Peter exclaimed. “Let’s give this all we got!” His pidgey let out a cry as she flew into the air towards Marchel and then dove down into the ground in front of him, kicking up sand from the ground furiously to block his view and then quickly retreating to her trainers side. “Good job Pidgey!” Trainer Battle Weather Status: Fog Peter's Pidgey | Level 11 | Tangled Feet Health : 45% (15/33 HP)Status : Normal Used Sand Attack! Sarara Hayes Marchel using Tackle! Sarara smiled as she watched the battle continue, she was proud of her little Rattata. He was truly blooming into a good Pokemon. She hoped that maybe with the right moves Marchel could become quick like rat ninja. Who knows right? She would have to wait and see about that, hm...maybe a tail attack would be good too. In any case, she had to think fast about what they would do next. "Ahhhh my eyes! Damn sand!" Marchel cried out trying to stop any more sand getting into them. "Don't worry Marchel, we still got this! Go for a Tackle!" Sarara called out to Marchel, who nodded.
Before maybe he would have got angry but after realising how his past self was wrong, he was beginning to understand the way Sarara thought. While his eyes were full of sand, he couldn't see correctly. That meant running via quick attack will be more dangerous if he misses than tackle would be. He didn't like the thought of running into a rock, more so with all this fog around them. He just had to do his best and make this hit. He began to run forward, pressing on with his attack, he kept an eye on the Pidgey, he had no idea who was going to be faster now, he just had to hope he can take the hit.

Peter was very pleased with his avian partners efforts, it was clear she had been successful in disrupting Marchel the Rattata's vision, the battle was so close between the mouse pokemon and the tiny bird pokemon and could well and truly be decided by the smallest of margins. Peter respected how resilient Sarara was despite the obvious amount of grief she could see Marchel was in with the sand in his eyes, it was admirable for such a young lady. Marchel begun to run towards Peter's Pidgey, despite the innate amount of fog that was surrounding them and the obvious eye irritation that the mouse pokemon was experiencing right now, he was doing a fine job and looked to be dead in line with his target, Peter exhibited little to no fear of the situation that could unfold in front of him, "Alright Pidgey, stop him in his tracks with your Tackle attack!"The decision Peter had made was an offensive based one, he had chosen to fight this challenge head on, quite literally as he wasn't sure that his avian partner had the required energy to move out of the road of the impending attack that was coming towards her. The chaos that ensued involved Peter's Pidgey and Sarara's Marchel colliding, their speeds nearly identical at least from a visual perspective. Both pokemon had clearly taken a fair amount of damage from the others attack, it did however look that Marchel had come off slightly worse than Peter's Pidgey had from the impact of the pairs tackle attack.
