It was time to Storm this tower and get her Flash TM. The fennekin seemed excited, jumping around in Melinda's arms. Melinda herself was full of confidence, as she flipped her Blue and Purple two-toned hair back, and entered the tower. Once inside Melinda noticed the tower was very rickety, so she was careful where she walked. As Melinda made her way to the first big room in the tower the strange cries of a Pokemon along with some mumbling could be heard a short distance away. Just on the other side of a swinging pillar stood a fire type Pokemon known as Cyndaquil and across from it stood two Sages along with their Bellsprout just about ready to start a 2 on 1 Pokemon battle. Even with the type advantage the young fire type would likely be in trouble if it had to try and battle them alone. The brave fire type was going to try but then it heard the floor creak behind it and as it turned to find out what caused the noise it saw Melinda. In a last ditch effort to avoid an unfair fight it ran up to her begging for her help. The sages were quick to notice and were hoping that they could talk some sense into the visitor before she made a regrettable choice. " Visitor we have no quarrel with you so long as you do not help this foul demon. If you do help it we will have no choice other than to defeat you as well." The other monk stood silent as his opinion on the matter mirrored his fellow sage. The awkward situation was made worse by the fact that Leon was a fire type himself which made the sages very nervous as they waited to see what the young girl would choose to do while silently hoping to avoid a case of double trouble. One fire type was bad enough but facing two in such a fragile tower could spell disaster very quickly.
Sages Jin and Chow are trying to team on the Cyndaquil with their Bellsprout (both Level 9)! Will you help Cyndaquil fight or will you leave it to fend for itself? OOC: I could not tell if you wanted to attack or meet the sages first but if you did want to go right into a battle let me know and I can edit this post. |

The girl looked very Livid. How dare they. "EXCUSE ME! THAT IS NO DEMON! THAT IS AN ACTUAL POKEMON! I SUGGEST YOU STOP IT NOW!" The girl was livid. "LEON LET'S GO! AND USE EMBER!" The Fennekin she knew would be able to defend the poor cyndaquil from these peoples attacks.
Leon meanwhile, while out of his pokeball noticed his new trainers aura had shifted the way his former trainers would. Leon nodded, and launched an Ember toward one of the two bellsprout. The sages quickly came to the realization that Melinda was not going to back down from helping the Cyndaquil and that their words had struck a nerve within her. As they got ready for a battle they were caught off guard by Melinda's choice of Pokemon as it was the very same type as Cyndaquil. " It makes sense that you would help that demon as you own one yourself, very well then Bellsprout use Vine Whip on that Fennekin before it burns the whole tower down." Chow said as his Bellsprout tried to attack but Leon's higher level and speed proved too much for the plant Pokemon as his Ember scored a direct hit before Bellsprout could extend its vines to attack. With a loud thud Chow's Bellsprout hit the floor leaving Jin by himself to protect this floor. " I shall avenge you Chow, Bellsprout use Vine Whip on Cyndaquil before it can attack us and make this situation any worse. This demon and its partners must be stopped. This crazy girl will burn down the tower with such a reckless move if we do not put a stop to it" Even Cyndaquil was faster than his Bellsprout however and the fire type fired off a well aimed Ember that caused major damage to the plant Pokemon but unlike Leon he was not able to knock it out in a single blow. Bellsprout then retaliated with Vine Whip as it smacked the young fire type multiple times with its vines though the attack was barely effective even with hardly any level gap between the two Pokemon. Jin started to grow nervous as he knew he was not in a good position right now and he had very few options left. " Bellsprout be ready, they have the number advantage now but we have to try and win with the hand we have been dealt. Give it everything you have left in this next round." He said as he hoped Bellsprout would get a chance to strike at least one more time. vs. Sages Jin & Chow

Melinda looked at the two sages. Fire pokemon were demons? She raised MOSTLY fire types. Now that down right offended her. "excuise me, but fire types are NOT demons. No pokemon is truley a demon only the trainers who wield them!" Melinda was ready to kick some literal ASS for this. These insults angered her greatly, and it is no mystery that she wants to HURT the responsable party, dearly. Since she couldn't attack other trainers however, she just smieked. "LEON! USE EMBER AGAIN ON THAT BELLSPROUT! LAY WASTE TO THESE STUPID IDIOTS!"
The Fire fox got ready to fire off another ember. Inside her head, Melinda was thinking of how much fun it is to lash out at others. Whatever that girl Mabel did to her, it was affecting her Psyche greatly. Was this good or bad is anybodys guess, but it certianly was not good for the sages.

It was a blaze of fire. The remaining bellsprout had no chance of escaping as the two fire types timed their shots for a wall of embers gliding through the air toward the weakened grass type. Both of the Sages cried out in dismay as their beloved home was also assaulted by the joined attack. Bellsprout wailed in the flames before finally falling unconscious, Jin immediately withdrawing his beloved pokémon. But the boorish girl and fiery invader were now a lesser priority to the pair of monks. Now, their tower was burning. Black smoke rose up into the room as the paneling caught and began spreading. The two, without thinking, jumped forward and began trying to stomp out what they could but their wood sandals weren't fairing well against the hungry element and they mainly ended up singing their own toes. "Quick! The storage!" Chow shouted instruction to his ally as he hastily began removing his own robe with the intent of using the thick resilient fibers to smother the blaze before it fed too much on Sprout Tower. Cyndaquil chuckled mischievously, passing a thankful glance at Leon before scurrying off toward the staircase. The little fire mouse wasted no time in beginning to scale further into Sprout Tower. With both of the Sages' attention wholly on the terror Melinda and Cyndaquil inflicted upon the wood building it was unlikely either would even notice if she decided to infiltrate further as well.
VICTORY!
 Leon von Shroeder grew to LV 15 and gained +1 Happiness! (+2)

She had to flee quickly past, and she held her fennekin in her arms, easily keeping up with the Cyndaquil she was following. Where they were headed she had no clue, but it seemed to be to an interesting place. She also sighed-"Why'd they call fire types demons? They aren't... they have just as much right to be here as any other pokemon." The thought of it made the Rosewind Girl Sick. Maybe her older sister Mabel could explain this one day, If they ever met. As Melinda reached the next floor the Cyndaquil was just about to fight the sage waiting to ambush it. Before the man could attack however he saw the young lady and knew she would be a far bigger threat. They had fought off Cyndaquil countless times but a trainer helping it could be quite a problem. " So I take it you have been helping this little demon? I will take care of it later but before I do I must put a stop to you first." The sage said being in no mood to talk things over. The Bellsprout standing in front of him was ready to a fight as well and the sage was hoping to win the battle quickly so he could help defeat the menace before it could reach the elder. " Anyone who sides with that pest is our enemy and I will do everything in my power to try and stop you before that rodent can burn down our tower. Bellsprout be ready to strike as soon as our intruder selects a Pokemon so that Cyndaquil will not have a window to escape." As the Bellsprout extended a series of vines from its body it was very clear the sage was in quite a hurry to start the battle. As fast as he had been however by focusing on Melinda the Cydaquil had slipped past him and had already started to head up the stairs. Neal gulped knowing the elder would be very upset that he had allowed the fire type to slip by but maybe if he could defeat Melinda he would avoid punishment. " That is not good, the elder is going to be very cross with us unless we have a very good reason for allowing that fiery demon past us. We need to win this battle Bellsprout so we will have that reason or else the elder will have our hides."  Sage Neal would like to battle, he sends out Bellsprout (Level 9). "We'll see what my precious Ice Fox has to say about that.... USE POWDER SNOW!" The Alolan vulpix reered up for a powder snow and let a stream of icy cold out from her mouth. The girl glared at the sage vehimently. Again with calling fire types demons... That is a line you never cross with her is insulting any species or type of pokemon. "I'll make you wish your damn tower HAD burned down!" Melinda was done playing nice, her eyes gloweed blue. Her gleeful side was now showing... As Melinda responded rather rudely to Neal's own harsh words he had very little to say, he knew he would be in a world of trouble if he failed to stop this intruder but action was his only hope of achieving that goal. The strange looking Vulpix Melinda sent out left the sage truly speechless however as he had never seen an alolan form Vulpix before but by the looks of it things were not going to be much better for him than a normal Vulpix. His suspicions were confirmed as Melinda ordered Luna to use Powder Snow which the sage knew would bring him trouble. " Bellsprout be ready, that Vulpix is different from a normal one but being an ice type it still has the type advantage here. Use Double Team to reduce the chance of it scoring a hit."Before the grass type could begin the illusion however Luna had already fired a small amount of snow directly at it causing a massive amount of damage but not enough to knock out the stubborn plant. This battle was too important to lose this fast as it fought through the pain to begin its illusion as an army of Bellsprout appeared before the young Vulpix. Sage Neal chuckled as he hoped the trick would allow him to make a comeback. " So you were just as strong as I believed, lets see you overcome this little trick of ours." As he waited for Melinda to make her next move sweat started to pour down his face realizing that if the trick failed all hope of winning this battle would be lost. Trainer Battle

Melinda Silverwind"Now i see the world through diamond eyes.."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IC:Melinda huffed. So these sages still wanted to talk smack, even knowing full well that she was pissed off. Okay melinda gave them credit for there perseverance, that was for sure. But she huffed-"Shake it off and use Powder Snow Once More Luna!" She intended to freeze this person and his pokemon solid and continue on. She was utterly pissed, and a pissed off gleeful is never good.
Melinda was busy glaring at the sage, waiting for him to make some other dumb remark. The vulpix let an icy breath out, and snow rose up again. If it would hit was to be determined, but one thing was sure- there was a fire burning in Melindas now Pure Blue Eyes.OOC:108words

Who was Neal kidding? He had no chance. Dealing with Cyndaquil alone was a challenge in itself but he was usually able to manage once the rodent had been worn down. With Melinda lending a hand, he was completely outnumbered. To make matters worse, his beloved Bellsprout drew the short straw in terms of type effectiveness.
Luna whipped up another Powder Snow attack, as commanded. The plant Pokémon nimbly swayed its body around in an attempt to dodge the move. However, even with a higher evasion stat than usual, it wasn't successful. The ice-type move struck Bellsprout heavily, obliterating its remaining hit points.
"Bellsprout, no!" Neal gasped. Noticing he was distracted, Cyndaquil saw its chance. The mouse dashed through the man's legs and began to climb the last flight of stairs. "You have made an incredibly foolish decision, child. Regardless, it is my duty as a trainer to award your victory." He handed Melinda a fistful of cash. "You might not be so lucky up against our Elder." With those words, he stepped aside, leaving the staircase free for Melinda and her team to ascend.

This must be where it was aiming to go... whatever it was after must be through this path... Melinda had started out helping out this cyndaquil, and she was going to see this quest through to the end. She spoke-"I'm wioth you all the way cyndaquil.. let's do this!" As Melinda made her encouraging statement to Cyndaquil the Elder knew his troubles have been doubled as he knew that Cyndaquil had been assisted by the young trainer to get this far. Though he was quite disappointed in the sages for failing to stop the intruders he was not going to go down so easily as he was the last line of defense for the tower. " So I see my fellow sages have failed to stop you Cyndaquil though I should hardly be surprised seeing as how you had help this time. You have been a pest to us for countless attempts but that ends today. I will put a stop to both you and your new found friend." As he finished speaking he grabbed two Pokeballs from his robe and tossed them down on the ground. " Now you fiery demon it is time you face my wrath, Bellsprout and Hoothoot we must stop this foul creature to protect this sacred tower do not let that beast defeat us." As the battle was about to start both of his Pokemon were ready to strike knowing how much danger they would be in if Cyndaquil was not stopped very quickly. If Melinda did not act quickly the fire type might be in a lot of trouble as the elder had no patience left for the fire type left after its countless attempts to climb the tower.

A real battle with a temple elder... this was her lucky day1 she threw out her alolan vulpix again, and the ice fox took a stance beside the cyndaquil."Vulpix!" The ice ox said, laring at the sage. She fired a powder snow straight at the sages hoothoot, playing on the weakness flying types had to ice types. Melinda looked at her vulpix-"My vulpix is as enraged at your sages as i am for how they have spoken to this cyndaquil.... Fire types aren't demons their pokemon too! To call an pokemon a demon.. IT'S APPREHENSABLE!" The girl was angrier then ever now, her blue eyes shining with anger and hatred. Melinda had been mad before, but never like this.
