Sebastian had finally started his journey, after meeting with the professor in New Bark Town Sebastian decided on the Grass Type Pokemon, Bulbasaur in which he named Roshi right on the spot. Sebastian felt some sort of bond the moment he locked eyes with the small dinosaur like plant Pokemon and he knew that it was going to be a perfect member of his team in whatever it was they decided to do. As he left the building an aid rushed up behind him and handed him some helpful items to start his journey with this included some Poke Ball's a Great ball and some healing items just in case the newly formed duo got into any trouble.
Thanking the aid with a slight bow and waving to him as he left the area of the Lab, Sebastian saw his first obstacle and the true beginning of his journey. Once he stepped forth out of the limitations of New Bark Town he was met with a lightly forested area with obvious mountains and rocky areas to the north. Looking at his new map of the Johto region, Sebastian knew that he was going to have to go west in order to get to the next town.
Taking a deep breath and holding Roshi's Pokeball in his hand, Sebastian stepped into the tall grass and started moving forward, it was rather humid and though he had only been out and about for a few minutes he could feel the sweat already seeming to form on his forehead. The crushing of the grass under his feet was loud and he knew from reading some information before he left that Pokemon liked to hide in tall grass and attack whenever a trainer or other Pokemon got too close, he wasn't scared by any means but the nerves of the situation were starting to sink in. What if he messed this up and Roshi got really hurt in his first battle? Would he have to go back to the professor and admit his inexperience?

As Sebastian walked through the tall grass the humid weather not only began to take its toll on him by causing him to sweat, it also caused a Pokemon not normally seen in the area to pay a visit to the route not knowing it was just mere feet away from the trainer. The yellow and brown Pokemon was known for its psychic powers but being so young it had not honed them enough to warn it about Sebastian and not a moment later it walked right into the young trainers knee. The collision caused it to fall onto its back for a few seconds before working up the strength to stand up with a terrified look on its face. It had never seen a trainer before being so young and all the the sight of the human was terrifying. As scared as it was however it was not going to run from a chance to test its skills. The Drowzee looked around trying to get a sense of the area to find anything it could to give itself a boost in the battle but outside of the grass and a few rocks nothing useful was in sight. The one thing Drowzee had to go on outside of skill was its rarity in the area as most trainers were not prepared to face a psychic type this early in their journey and it hoped that would be enough to overcome any advantage Sebastian might have. Sweat poured from its forehead in anticipation of the battle as the humid weather refused to let up for even a moment and what little wind there was did nothing to cool either it or Sebastian down. Drowzee wiped as much sweat off its own forehead as it waited for Sebastian to make a move so the battle could get underway. A wild Drowzee (Level 3) appeared. Please select a Pokemon.

To Be The Best 0436 WORDS ■ @tag ■ Sebastian sends out Bulbsaur to fight the Drowzee That Ever Was
Was it his nerves? Or was it sheer intuition that made him stop and take the Pokeball off his belt? As he stood there grasping the ball in his hand he could hear the grass moving and shaking as something was slowly getting closer to him. Not being from this region, Sebastian had no idea what could possibly inhabit this area let alone what could be classed as a rare or uncommon Pokemon to find. His other hand reached for his pocket where he had placed the Pokedex that Professor Elm had given him, at least with this he would find out the Pokemon's typing and maybe find out some information on the creature.
The rustling stopped and before he knew it, as he took another step forward he felt something collide with his leg. Looking down he saw the small yellow and brown Pokemon staring up at him horrified, it looked young and had not yet matured. But before he could bend down to say hello to the creature it had already gotten up and taken a few steps back as if it wanted to battle.
"Hey, it's ok. I'm not going to hurt you." A smile on the blondes face as he loosened his harsh grip on the Pokeball in his hand, lifting up the Pokedex in his other hand he let it scan the Pokemon.
"Drowzee, The Hypnosis Pokemon. Drowzee is a Psychic type Pokemon that eats dreams." His eyes opened wide as he read the text again even though he had just heard the Pokedex speak loud and clear. It really ate dreams? He though to himself as he stared back at the small Pokemon that looked as though it wasn't as scared anymore or at least was trying not to be scared.
"Okay Drowzee, I'll battle you... Then maybe, you can join me." Throwing the Pokeball into the air and catching, he smiled and took a step back. "Go Bulbasaur, Your time to shine!" In that moment he through the Pokeball forward and as he did it opened up letting out a flash of light that formed into the grass type Pokemon. Reading the Pokedex entry of Bulbasaur to himself he smiled, though he seemed like he was at a disadvantage thanks to Bulbasaur's Poison typing it should be fine. This Drowzee didn't seem too tough.
"Bulbasaur use Tackle!" He shouted pointing at the Drowzee who had just finished wiping the sweat from its brow, hopefully this fight would be fun, it was Sebastian's first wild Pokemon battle after all and he didn't want to hurt his new acquaintance too much.

As the battle got underway Drowzee was very nervous from the sound of the voice produced by the Pokedex. Up until now it had only heard them from a distance and the robotic voice being so close sent shivers down the psychic types spine. Even in the humid weather its nerves caused it to shake violently. Sebastian seemed nice but it did not trust the Pokedex at all and so long as the trainer had the device in his possession Drowzee was not going to trust a word he said. The thought of traveling with the human did not even cross Drowzee's mind even as the young man sent out his Bulbasaur. The grass type Pokemon did not appear too dangerous but Drowzee was not about to stay by helplessly. Roshi had never been in a battle before but Drowzee did not know this nor would it matter. The psychic type was too young to use its dream eating powers and too scared to focus long enough to try and hypnotize the young Bulbasaur however Drowzee did have one option that did not require focus as it charged towards Roshi with an open hand ready to slap him. Roshi was fasten than he looked however as he ran towards the young psychic type delivering a tackle attack right into its abdomen. Drowzee was so inexperienced that even tackle did considerable damage. It was not enough to knock it out but it still hurt and Drowzee recovered long enough to complete the pound of its own The small hand that struck Roshi across the face did not do very much damage but it did show just how little practice Drowzee had been doing before the battle. The young psychic type was very displeased with the poor outcome of its opening strike but this battle was not over yet. Having shaken off some of its fears Drowzee could now focus a bit better and it might just be able to take advantage of its psychic powers in the next round assuming things went its way and the humid weather did not get to it first Wild Battle (Weather: Clear)Drowzee | Level 3 HP: 70% (12/17 HP) Status: Normal Drowzee used Pound!
