Party in Thread: Snowball [Deerling lv.13], Bucktooth [Rattata lv.9], Kara [Squirtle lv.7]
The City of Fragrant Flowers carried a very vibrant array of glorious colors all around. The flowers gave Cherrygrove City a smell that lived up to its name, the City of Fragrant Flowers. They could be seen - and smelt - all around the smaller city. It really was a beautiful site. A lot different from the big-city of Goldenrod that Damien had spent 16 years of his life in. Of course, he loved the atmosphere there where he had grown up, but Damien loved the view of nature in this Pokemon world even more. Damien loved nature. Heck, even when he was in Goldenrod, Damien spent most of his time outside of the outskirts of town at the daycare helping out and taking care of the Pokemon he loved, while he still got to enjoy the nature there. He had been doing that since he was eleven as well as volunteering at the Pokemon Center in Goldenrod, and in both places, Damien saw diverse types of Pokemon, many that didn't even find Johto as their own home. This is where he found his love of Pokemon, volunteering there, meeting and helping all of the Pokemon that visited. Meeting trainers and their pokemon teammates that traveled from far away places, far away places that Damien could only imagine visiting someday.
Damien had planned on leaving a lot earlier in the day today not to head entirely to Violet City, but to just take a stroll around the route on the way there and maybe partake in a few training battles for his Pokemon. It really had been a glorious day, but Damien knew with that glorious day would come a beautiful and awe-striking sunset. The sun had started to set, but Damien wanted to see it all. With his Pokemon, his partners in this journey they were taking. He had brought Snowball, his deerling, Kara, his squirtle, and his rattata, Bucktooth, with him on the walk, as he liked to only bring a few of his pokemon with him at a time. He kept them all out of their Pokeballs because he wanted to be able to spend quality time with his Pokemon. He did not want to be anything like the several trainers he had seen at the Pokemon Center that merely used their Pokemon as tools to fight with, keeping them in their Pokeballs and PC boxes entirely unless they were fighting.
With Kara on-top of his shoulders and Snowball and Bucktooth on both sides of him, they all seemed happy together. Damien was happy to have these pokemon with him on his journey.
But it was a sound that made both Snowball and Kara perk around their heads, looking to its source. Snowball stopped in her tracks. The deerling and the squirtle both sensed danger, and Bucktooth gave a small and quiet growl. Damien found the source, by a house a bit away from the path. A shady-seeming character, dressed in all black, had quietly unlocked a window frame and snuck inside.
Damien looked to his Pokemon to see what they thought. He wasn't quite sure himself of what he should do. The first of his Pokemon he looked at, his red-nosed deerling, looked unsure, and slightly scared. She seemed to be worried about the people that could live in that house and could be robbed, but also scared of what the shady person could do to them. Looking to Bucktooth, he seemed to want to do something to help. Kara, carrying an eager expression on her face, knew what they needed to do. She wanted to follow the potential criminal into the home and try to stop him. Kara pointed forward, ahead of Damien's face and at the window. He knew what he was going to do. He was going to follow the criminal through the window and attempt to put a stop to his actions. Besides, who knew how long it could be until an officer could show up at the scene if he tried to contact one? By then, the criminal could've already made their escape!
They slowly made their way over to the window, and Damien quietly but quickly helped each of his pokemon in, starting with Kara and Bucktooth, and then Snowball and himself following. They swiftly made their way in the home, Kara bravely leading the way. Upon seeing the figure dressed in black, seemingly looking around for someone, Damien yelled at him. "Hey, you!" Damien exclaimed. "What are you looking for?"
Damien honestly could not believe the bravery he was having at the moment, but the bravery came from the love of and for his Pokemon.

Things had been going well for Kyle for most of his mission as he had entered the house without any major issues and the cops had still not been alerted to his presence. All he needed to do was find the crate he was looking for and then he could make his way back to Headquarters to claim his reward for a job well done. The trouble was that he did not have any luck in finding the crate and as he saw Damien and his Pokemon he thought he was going to have to deal with a pest who was sticking his nose where it did not belong. However as the young man did not seem to know he was a member of Team Rocket yet he thought he might be able to sweet talk his way into fooling the young lad. With any luck Damien might become a pawn while he made a getaway. " I happen to be looking for a very valuable crate that was delivered a few days ago while I was out. I lost my keys so I had to come in through the window. I do not know where the delivery man put the crate so I have been tearing up any room just in case that crafty fellow hid it beneath something." The upturned furniture and destruction suggested he was far more sinister than he claimed but Kyle was hoping that Damien would believe his unlikely story. After giving him a moment to think things over Kyle still trying to be sly asked the young man if he would help him look for the crate so he could grab its contents and make a break for it. " Would you mind helping me out, it has to be somewhere in the house but this place is pretty big so it will take forever if I try to look for it by myself. I can make it worth your while if you help me look." He said with a grin on his face. To say the least he was putting on quite an act but it was up to Damien to either go along with his story or not. With how shady Kyle was though there was no way he was going to go quietly if Damien chose to try and stop him. Will you help Kyle look for the crate? If so please search one of the following areas: [Check Kitchen] [Check Bedroom] [Check Attic] [Check Dining Room]If you choose to try and stop him instead he will use Diglett (Level 12) to try and convince you otherwise.

At first, Damien had to admit, he was really tempted to help the guy out and believe his story. But something felt off about all of the situation. All three of the Pokemon he had there with him too still felt as if the very shady guy was lying. It was dark, and if that wasn't shady enough, the guy was wearing all black. Damien took a long while to speak because he was thinking about the situation, and it seemed as if the shady guy was very waiting impatiently to see whether or not the much younger Pokemon trainer than him would help him or not.
Damien thought about how all of his Pokemon felt about this guy. They were his team, and he had trust in them. They were his friends and his family on his journey. They all seemed to sense something being off about the man. And if that wasn't enough, Damien began to think about the guy's words and story he had given for why he had had to resort to going through the window. He thought deeply and hard about the story the guy had told and realized something - Why, and how, could the delivery person had been in the guy's home in the first place to misplace the crate, especially if the door was locked and the guy himself couldn't have gotten in by the front door?
Damien's expression and feelings towards the guy almost immediately charged and his Pokemon saw his shift in emotion towards the shady man. Bucktooth gave an angry growl at the guy. "If it was true that you were locked out," Damien said, "and that this is in fact your home... Then how exactly, and why, did the delivery man come inside? That most certainly is not normal."
He had no clue of what the guy would do to him and his Pokemon now though, and now he seemed a bit worried about putting his Pokemon in danger. However all of his Pokemon seemed to be entirely brave in this situation. Damien had to be brave as well, for them. He had to be strong for them. Even his timid, red-nosed Deerling seemed to have no fear whatsoever. All of his Pokemon wanted to do whatever they had to do to stop this criminal.
And with that, after being discovered, it appeared as if the guy was going to attempt to battle him and his Pokemon to prevent him from stopping him on his mission, whatever that happened to be. The guy dressed in black sent out a stronger-looking Diglett. "Alright Kara," Damien said towards his Squirtle,"You're up first. Let's show this guy what he is up against and that we most certainly are not going to let him get away with any crimes here. It is up to us to stop him. Don't let this criminal scare us. We can do it. We are a team."
Without hesitation, Damien's Squirtle leaped from his shoulders and landed in-front of the opponent's Diglett, turning and giving a powerful nod back at her trainer. The Squirtle was full of determination to stop the criminal and protect their team through whatever happens. Damien was very proud of her. "Alright, Kara! Let's hit the Diglett with a Water Gun attack!"

Kyle thought for sure that his explanation of events was rock solid and that Damien would fall for it without a hitch. As soon as the young man pointed out a hole in his story however he began to get nervous as he realized he had really screwed up by not thinking of a way to explain the delivery man getting in. " You see, well um the delivery man had a copy of my key that I gave to him so that he could get in whenever I was away. I do not know where he is right now or else I would have him show you the spare. He always leaves things for me when I am away on business." Even as he came up with a reason however the look in Damien's eyes made it pretty clear that he was no longer buying the story. As Kyle started to sweat and as soon as Damien called one of his Pokemon forward the Team Rocket member realized his cover was blown and that defeating the young man was the only way he was going to complete his mission now. " Well this sucks, my cover is blown but that just makes this whole operation a bit more interesting. I already dealt with the pests who own this house so once I am through with you I can find that crate of TMs and then get out of here. Let's go Diglett. We need to take care of this pest now." He said as the ground type Pokemon looked over angrily at Damien and his Pokemon ready to help its master no matter the cost. " A slow Squirtle like that has no chance of outrunning my Diglett, use Scratch and teach this young man a lesson he will never forget." Kyle said as the Diglett rushed towards Kara and scratched her across the abdomen with its tiny claws. After Kara recovered she fired a small spout of water at Diglett causing pretty extensive damage thanks to it being a super effective move. Though Kyle started to worry he had not even used his trump card yet. " I went easy on you this time kid, this next round I will not hold back. I hope you brought a lot of Revives." After issuing his threat the Team Rocket member waited for his next chance to strike. Trainer Battle Weather: Normal Diglett | Level 12| Arena Trap HP: 64% (18/28) Status: Normal Used Scratch VS

What else could Damien expect from a full-fledged criminal like this, to tell a lie like that? Although, he had to admit, it was a very believable story to have made up on the fly if that was the case. Damien, and his Pokemon, were not going to allow the Team Rocket Grunt to go through with whatever scheme he was trying to get away with doing.
Damien realized that as soon as the Grunt realized his cover story was blown, the situation could've become a lot more dangerous. "What did you do to the people that do call this little nice house home?" Damien asked the Grunt. He was slightly worried with the way the criminal had said he had already 'dealt with the pests that own this house'. What had he done to them? Damien wondered to himself. Surely, if nothing else, they most definitely had to help those People. It didn't matter what kind of Technical Machine the Grunt was looking for - Damien's team would not allow him to find it. They were going to beat him in this battle.
The Diglett that the Team Rocket Grunt would have the first move, as it would seem its speed was higher than that of his Squirtle. It came at Kara and landed a scratch attack. The Diglett was definitely stronger than what perhaps Damien thought beforehand, but that would not stop Damien and Kara from defeating it all the same. Damien watched as Kara dealt a Water Gun attack to the Diglett, dealing a nice amount of damage to the Diglett. "Great hit, Kara!" Damien cheered on his Pokemon. The move had done some damage, but would it be enough? Damien was worried about Kara getting hurt, but he knew if Kara were to get hurt his other Pokemon would be right out there to finish up the battle and to allow the Squirtle to rest up in her Pokeball. "If you think Kara and I are going to go down that easily, then you're wrong!" Damien gave a determined look at his Squirtle. He knew she wasn't going to go down without a good fight, it just wasn't the type of Pokemon she was.
Water Gun was a super effective attack upon the ground-type Pokemon Diglett, but the Rocket Grunt's Diglett seemed to be on a much higher level than Kara and that would make the battle a lot more difficult for her. He only hoped that the next Water Gun would be enough.
"Alright Kara!" Damien yelled out to his Pokemon. "Let's deal it another Water Gun attack! You got it!" Damien hoped that Kara would be able to pull off a strong attack against the Diglett, maybe one that would give her and the rest of the Pokemon an upper-hand against the Team Rocket Grunt. The shell-wearing Pokemon released a high-pressured water blast from its mouth, hoping to land a second and perhaps even stronger hit upon the enemies Diglett. Kara followed her trainers commands without a doubt, because the bond they shared and the trust they had for one another was like nothing else, even though they hadn't even been together for long. Both Snowball and Bucktooth stood ready to switch in right by Damien's side. The Pokemon were all in this together with Damien.

"Slip to Diglett, slap some mud on that ugly mug," the Rocket Grunt ordered in reaction to Damien's own. Before Kara could puff up her cheeks the tunneling pokémon dipped down beneath the floor boards. The squirtle had to pause a moment or risk missing outright, her mouth already filling with water as she prepared. It was hard to adjust to the brilliant speed of the rocket's pokémon. Sad to say, it was at least well trained in that respect. Kyle crossed his arms and chuckled. A smug grin plastered on his face that even in the dark was hard to miss. "You shouldn't concern yourself with others right now kid." A rumble signaled the rise of the Diglett, Kara immediately hopping to the side and taking aim for right when the mole popped its head up. But Diglett was still faster. It erupted out of its hole with a wave of mud preceding vision of itself. Kara barely managed to keep from gasping and releasing the water in her mouth prematurely, but the focus of not losing her prepared attack left her wide open to the sodden earth. Now she was in a bit of trouble. With mud caked on her face and stinging her eyes she'd have a time just trying to get a mark on the dark brown mole pokémon in this lighting. Kara hurriedly tried to wipe what she could from her face, then carefully matching up blurry shapes with what she remembered from before the mud onslaught she released her water gun. The squeak of Diglett let her know she hit her target. "Hmph, just a lucky shot so don't get too excited. You're going to be spending the night in a closet." The man paused a second to chuckle. "Hope you're not claustrophobic kid."Trainer Battle Weather: Normal Diglett | Level 12 | Arena Trap HP: 32% (9/28) Status: Normal Used Mud-Slap! VS

Damien would be worried for the others, however. It didn't matter who they were. Even though he had no idea who they were, here he was, trying to stop this villian and whatever he planned to do to those people. "I will be concerned about them. You can do what you want to me, but I will not let you harm them. No matter what happens right now!" Damien said as he gave the Team Rocket Grunt a determined and angry glare. "I don't care who you are, I will not let you harm them!" Both Snowball and Bucktooth showed the same look towards Kyle, and Damien knew that they felt the same way. Him and his Pokemon were in together, as partners, and as a family. This battle was nowhere near just Damien's, but it was also not even close to just being his Pokemon's battle. It was them together as a collective team, a family, fighting the battle. And they were going to give it all it takes. Damien knew his Pokemon would, and his Pokemon knew he would. They were going to put an end to this criminal.
As Kara got hit by the Mud-Slap attack, Damien knew the mud that caked her face would prevent her from landing as accurate attacks. It was a smart move on Kyle's part. Even after being hit by the mud from the Diglett, however, Damien's Squirtle still released the large Water Gun attack hitting the Diglett right on and still being able to do a significant amount of damage. "Great hit, Kara!" His Squirtle was doing great in the battle and definitely did not plan on going down without giving the Grunt a good fight. It wasn't the type of Squirtle Kara was, to go down easily. She was a very determined and passionate Squirtle, and it matched the traits that Damien carried himself. It created a bond between them that would be difficult for perhaps anyone to beat. "You're doing great Kara!"
Listening to the Rocket Grunt talk was getting on the blonde-haired trainer's nerves. He had seen countless trainers walk into the Pokecenter he volunteered for years at in Goldenrod. Many of those trainers treated their Pokemon with love and care, and Damien respected them very much for being a proper trainer like that. It made him very happy to see people and Pokemon together as friends, as a team. But also, many trainers came through that cared nothing for their Pokemon. They saw their Pokemon as nothing more than tools. And as this villain was a member of the notorious gang Team Rocket, he clearly had no respect for his Pokemon either. Team Rocket stole Pokemon for their own benefit and uses them just as tools to gain their organization more reputation. Even one of their mottos was enough to show how rudely they cared for their Pokemon. All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket, was how that mottto went. It was terrible and it disgusted Damien, after having spent so many hours caring for Pokemon of trainers of that sort. In some ways Damien wished he could help put an end to this crime somehow. Even helping at the Daycare in Goldenrod he had seen the same type of trainers waltz in to the place, treating their Pokemon like garbage.
Damien thought about what he should do next, but then realized the Diglett's arena trap ability would likely prevent Kara from being able to switch out with one of his other Pokemon. The Mud-Slap attack had left his Pokemon with a little less health though... Damien took a few seconds to think before pulling his two-string back off of his shoulders and reaching in it for a purple colored potion. Although it wasn't the best and most modern potion offered on the market, it would still do a good job of healing his Squirtle and keeping her healthy in the battle he hoped.
After spraying the Pokemon with the potion, Kara gave a smile at the Team Rocket Grunt. She knew that she was capable of putting an end to the Grunt's criminal actions in this house, and she would do anything she could and give it all she had until the very last moment that the criminal and his Pokemon had been defeated. "Sq-Squirtle!" She got back into a ready attack stance and braced itself for whatever hit was to come from the Diglett.
"Alright Kara!" Damien said. "Let's hit that Pokemon with another Water Gun attack! Keep it up Kara! You're doing great!"

The rocket grunt, assured of his superiority and thus his victory, gave Damien plenty of time to think things over and plan. Just to let his hopeless situation really sink in. Or so Kyle deluded himself. The man stood tall and crossed his arms, sneering down at the young lad as he slipped the bag off his shoulder to go digging for an item. "You're just delaying the inevitable squirt. But I understand if you feel you need a crutch to help with the sting a little," Kyle teased, snickering afterward. Even the diglett seemed to join in with the sly trainer's mockery. "But that's enough of that. Diglett, astonish!" With a thrust of his chin the rocket grunt gave the order while Damien was finishing up the potion application. Through the dark the mole pokémon moved quietly along one of its already dug holes. Just as Kara returned her full attention back to the Team Rocket member and smiled she would notice the absence of the ground type. She turned her head to the side. Nothing. She looked the other direction and was assaulted by a sudden bellow. Her heart felt like it flew out of her chest as she tumbled backward from the darkened shape that had startled her. Kyle burst out laughing, "Don't fall on your back now, you may not be able to get back up." Kara wasn't going to let that turtle joke go unanswered. "Alright Diglett, enough playing around: Dig." It was a simple instruction, and one that went hand-in-hand with the mole pokémon. Without a peep Diglett disappeared beneath the floor boards again, digging deep to avoid Kara being able to track where it was burrowing. The tiny turtle was determined not to miss though. Eyes squinting across the room she stayed poised and ready for the slightest sign of her opponent. Something hit the ground. Without thinking Kara whipped her head around and unleashed a torrent of water at the disturbance. Rocket Grunt Kyle opened up another bout of laughter. It was a table ornament. "Losing your nerves? Well don't worry cause this is about to all be over."Trainer Battle Weather: Normal Diglett | Level 12 | Arena Trap HP: 32% (9/28) Status: Normal Used Astonish! Used Dig! Disappeared VS

Using the Potion on Kara had healed the Squirtle back to full health, something that could prove very advantageous to Damien and his Pokemon as the battle against the Team Rocket Grunt progressed. Even though the opponent’s Diglett was at a higher-level, the Diglett had a lower health at this point, and that could mean everything in this seemingly close battle. Snowball seemed to become even more angry at Damien’s side, as the Rocket Grunt and his Diglett snickered at the blonde-haired teenager and his efforts to win the battle.
While busy healing Kara, though, Damien’s Pokemon was left vulnerable to another attack from the Diglett. The Grunt’s Ground-type Pokemon came out from hiding and followed through with its trainer’s command. The Diglett attacked Kara and shouted at the Squirtle, using Astonish, a move that normally would have the potential to cause the opponents’ Pokemon to flinch. Had Kara attempted to use an attack instead of healing, that would’ve been a possible outcome. It was a good thing Damien had chosen to heal Kara instead.
Watching as Kara fell onto her shell, he seemed slightly worried about his Pokemon. However she was quickly right back and up on her small blue feet again. As she stood up, Kara seemed to try and hide the embarrassment of the fright she had felt from the Diglett’s Astonish attack. The Squirtle seemed to have somehow found even more anger towards the Grunt and his Pokemon. Even if she wasn’t the biggest, strongest, or fastest Pokemon out there, Kara was not going to let this Grunt get away with his criminal actions without putting up a good fight until the very end. She knew Damien and the rest of his Pokemon would do so as well.
“Kara, hang in there!” Damien shouted out to his Pokemon after it had taken the attack from out of the dark. Kara would then try to follow-up with another Water Gun attack as she followed her trainer’s guidance, but before it could make any move, the opponent’s Pokemon disappeared beneath the ground, and there was no way for Kara to know its location. As she heard a sound from behind, Kara released the Water Gun attack. The attack landed, but… Not on the target it was intended upon. As the table ornament that triggered Kara’s attack had fallen from behind where Damien stood, the water from the Squirtle’s attack landed right at her trainer’s legs.
Damien jumped as the Water Gun shot in his direction, but still couldn’t managed to avoid getting wet as the water splashed up onto the jeans and the tennis shoes he happened to be wearing. His shoes got soaked, but Damien would still not lose his attention from the battle. Kara gave an embarrassed look at him for not only having her blast of water at an entirely inanimate object, but also for soaking her trainer’s shoes and jeans with water.
“Kara, it is fine.” Damien said as the Squirtle gave him a rather apologetic look. “Just keep your head focused on the battle at hand and we'll pull through this. I know that together we can do it.”
Kara nodded at her trainer and then spinned back around, only to remember that the Diglett was still somewhere underground, waiting to hit the Squirtle with another surprise attack. “Be ready to use Water Gun again on the Diglett as soon as it pops up and uses its own attack!” Damien turned his attention to the Rocket Grunt. “A criminal like you won’t last much longer against us, a team formed by something much stronger than what can be seen. Our friendship makes us family, in it together. And we will do anything it takes to stop you and rescue the owners of this home.” He knew he spoke for both himself and his Pokemon when he talked. After all, they were in this journey together, one little battle at a time. All for one. One for all.
As Kara continued to look around for the Diglett, the sound of rain from outside of the building began. Distant thunder could be heard. From outside of the window, the strikes of lightning could be seen, momentarily illuminating the dark battlefield the Pokemon fight was commencing upon. The window that both Kyle and Damien’s team had snuck through was still left open just a small crack behind Damien, allowing small droplets of water from the rain to pour inside the house. If only the battle had been taking place outside, Damien’s Water-typed Squirtle would be facing a large benefit from the rain.

Kyle started to grow even more annoyed than he already was as Damien went on about friendship allowing him to overcome his stronger Pokemon. He could not stop his Diglett from completing its Dig attack but with any luck it would be able to knock Kara out before she would be able to attack again and if not her reduced accuracy might just prove enough to still defeat her in the next round. Like before Kara had no hope of outrunning the Diglett but she could try and brace herself at least to try and stay in the fight as she ducked into her shell to maximize her endurance. It was during this time that Diglett popped up from beneath her sending her flying into the ceiling with a loud thud. Her decision to brace proved to be smart as she held on to a small amount of health after the attack allowing her to strike again. The Mud Slap might have reduced her accuracy but there was no way she could miss at point blank range as Duglett approached to see if she could still fight. She popped out of her shell and fired a Water Gun right in the face of Diglett who did not have as much time to brace and as such was able to cause just enough damage to knock it out. Kyle was livid but Diglett was not his only Pokemon and he had to try and still win this battle with his last Pokemon as he sent out a Meowth while recalling his Diglett. " Drat that puts a wrench in my plans but you have not beaten me yet. Friendship or not my Meowth will tear you to shreds so we can still make a get away. I tell you what kid, if you give up now I will let you leave in one piece if you give me your Squirtle as payment for the mess you put my through. Do we have a deal?" He asked doubting that Damien would take him up on the offer but still trying to get out of his situation as quickly as possible knowing that things were not going very well for him at all at the moment. At this point, the Pokemon trainer and his Pokemon seemed to have the battle against the Team Rocket Grunt. The sound of the rain from outside the building seemed to intensify as the battle continued - as the intensity of the battle raged on, just like the thunderstorm outside. Crack! came the large and terrific sound of thunder from outside, likely coming from lightning hitting on one of the trees just barely outside of the Cherrygrove City. The flashes of light could be seen from the windows scattered among the walls in the house. Even if the sound wasn't that close, it was enough for both of Damien's Bucktooth and Snowball to look up for a moment in surprise. But not Kara. She didn't even blink at the sound, keeping her gaze and focus entirely on the battle at hand with her and her trainer against the Diglett and the Rocket Grunt. She had to stay focused, and she knew that. No matter what happened.
With another big Water Gun attack shooting from Kara's mouth, it was enough to leave Kyle's Diglett defeated, but not before it could deal a large amount of damage to Damien's squirtle. Coming from the ground and striking Kara from below, the Diglett had knocked Kara off of her feet, into the air and onto the cieling, and then onto the ground, falling upside down back onto her shell. But it hadn't been enough to defeat the usually timid, but strong-willed Squirtle.
"Kara!" Damien said to his Pokemon, seemingly worried about his Pokemon. Although she had clearly taken a large amount of damage from the attack, she reassured Damien by slowly getting back on her small feet. She struggled with it, but she was still able to do it. "Hang in there Kara." Both Bucktooth and Snowball stood at Damien's side, ready to switch in had the action become necessary. The Squirtle, now back on her feet, then released a final Water Gun attack, defeating the Team Rocket Grunt's first Pokemon. But it was not his last.
The Rocket Grunt then sent out his next Pokemon, this time a cat-like Pokemon. It was a Meowth. Damien pulled out another Potion and applied it to his turtle like Pokemon, and then smiled."Alright heal up a bit," he said to Kara while spraying the healing item on her.
"Better?" Damien asked to his Squirtle. A nod and an enthusiastic "Squirtle!" was all it took for the trainer to know his Pokemon was well beyond capable of winning this battle, even if it had or had not been before. "Great. Let's teach this bad thief a lesson for trying to steal and hit his Pokemon with another Water Gun attack! He can't stop us now!"

Kyle groaned as Damien healed his Squirtle instead of taking his offer as his last hope of getting away easily faded with the wordless rejection of his offer. He could not even bring himself to speak after seeing Damien continue on now with the upper hand in the battle but he did have a trick up his sleeve that he could still use a trick he had left as the move was only good on the opening turn anyway even if it could not cause a flinch like it usually would. " Meowth since your Fake Out will not work after this turn go ahead and use it. Your Technician ability will increase its power so it will not be a total waste." The cat Pokemon then walked up to Kara and faked her out with a swing of its paw aimed at her right side before going in for a real swipe from the left. The boosted power of the move caused considerable damage to the young Squirtle but she was still in pretty good shape as the second round started. " Meowth use Scratch to take advantage of that Technician again, if you do not bring down that Squirtle soon we will be in a lot of trouble." He said as Meowth ran up and Scratched Kara while she was still recovering from the first attack. Before Meowth could get out of the way however Kara was able to fire a powerful Water Gun right into the cats face that did moderate damage and left the cat rather angry for getting wet. Even so for the time being the cat had a higher percentage of health remaining and it was faster than Kara. With the third round between the two Pokemon about to begin Kyle really began worrying about accomplishing his mission as his only real trick had been used up. He still could hope for luck with his Meowth's Bite but even then his odds of completing his mission were not looking very good for the time being at all. After having getting hit by two attacks from the Meowth, Kara backed up a bit in the small building, after having taken the attacks. As she seemed to fall backwards slightly, her shell ran into a little chair at the side of a table, knocking it onto the ground making a large sound. The large sound was seemingly very timely matched with a loud thunder strike from close by, loud enough to cause Kara to almost immediately jump, but she held the water in her mouth in, not letting it lose until she was ready. Kara knew she had to stop this little thief and his Pokemon.
Looking around, Damien noticed that the house seemed to be becoming a bit of a wreck. But then again, it wasn't in too great a shape when the trainer arrived anyways. The Team Rocket Grunt had seemingly already scavenged through the house a bit for the box that he was looking for, leaving this scattered all over the place. The water from the rain continued to leak through the window just a bit, leaving a small puddle right by that. On the side where the Grunt stood, puddles of water from Kara's Water Gun attacks littered all over the floor. Damien really was starting to wish he had found a way to take this outside and actually thought about this before going right into the battle that way. At least, Damien would most definitely help clean up any mess the battle created after he had helped protect them and their belongings. He hoped they would appreciate the help and appreciated him having stopped Kyle.
Damien had no doubt that the Team Rocket Grunt's Meowth was capable of doing a good deal of damage to his Squirtle, but he also knew that there was no way his Pokemon were going to allow themselves to come out of here without stopping him. And the look in all of his Pokemon, including the two on the sidelines of the battle, very well displayed that drive to win this battle. If something happened to Kara and she needed to be switched out, both Bucktooth and Snowball stood ready to fight the moment they were called upon. "Alright Kara," Damien said to his Squirtle, "You're doing great! You know what to do. Keep fighting the good fight. Hit his Meowth with another Water Gun Kara!"
Even though it could potentially allow the Meowth a chance to strike before Kara could release the attack, She still began to build a supply of water in her cheeks, ready to shoot, while keeping her eyes focused in the battle and on the opponent's Meowth. Last time, the Meowth had managed to land two attacks on her before she could even deal any amount of damage to it, regardless of the fact that Kara had just used a potion to heal up. The speed of the Meowth would still allow it to strike first, but without having to use a potion, the Meowth wouldn't be able to use two attacks in a row so easily now.

Kyle did not know how much longer his luck would as as Damien and his Squirtle were really doing a number on his Meowth and his chance of escape was almost none by now as even his Meowth had taken a decent amount of damage. " Meowth use Scratch and be quick about it. That Squirtle will ruin our day if it gets another chance to attack." He said as the cat ran towards the turtle as it swiped her across the face with its paws. Kara was into the danger zone health wise but that allowed her to activate her Torrent ability to boost her power. The very boost terrified Kyle as soon as he realized his mistake. " Meowth look out, that Squirtle just got a huge power boost from its ability. We are in a lot of trouble if it scores a hit now." Before the cat could jump out of the way however Kara fired a super charged Water Gun that caused massive damage to Meowth. Somehow the cat was able to hang on despite the powerful attack but just barely. Kyle was sweating like crazy as the Meowth looked at him with a dazed look on its face hardly able to stand any longer. His dire situation had gotten even worse but there was still a chance for him to try and turn things around as bleak as things looked. " This is our last hope Meowth, if we fail to take out that Squirtle with your next attack we are finished. You cannot handle another attack in your current state and like an idiot I forgot to bring potions. I cannot believe how this whole mission got out of hand but we have to try and still win this battle." He said as Meowth looked across at Kara determined to strike one final time. Even if the cat Pokemon had no guarantees that it would knock Kara out in the next round it was going to try with all its might to make it happen. Damien and his water-type partner weren't about to let anything stop them now. Even with all her timidness, Kara was not about to force Bucktooth nor Snowball to get hurt fighting the battle for her. Damien looked at Kara, knowing that she was not going to let herself give in. They locked eyes, and the determination they both showed to win the battle was evident. The trainer then looked at the two Pokemon that stood on both sides of him, ready to take the reigns of the battle if Kara were to become too tired and weak to continue fighting. They both looked as determined as Kara to win the battle. Even though they weren't actively taking part in fighting, they both were supporting their team in the battle.
But, even as the squirtle stood her ground in the battle and was determined as she was, it was evident she had already taken quite a bit of damage from the meowth again. Damien brought out his bag and pulled out a Potion, and looked at Kara. "Kara," Damien said, "We all believe in you." Damien looked at Bucktooth and to Snowball as they both gave a little reassuring nod to the turtle pokemon. "Together, nothing can stop us! Especially not a criminal of this sort or his Pokemon." Damien applied the potion to Kara, as she positioned her feet and turned back towards the Meowth and its trainer.
"Squirtle!" Kara let out a burst of energy, feeling the Potion's effects quickly. Now, she was confident, there was nothing that could stop them. Not even this evil criminal. "Alright Kara!" Damien spoke to his Pokemon proudly. "Show them what you can do! Hit the meowth with another Water Gun attack! You can do it!" "Squirt! Squirtle!" The water-type began to fill its cheeks with water, waiting for the right moment to send a blast that would defeat the meowth once and for all. The meowth itself appeared to be in a fairly weak state from all the damage Kara had done, and the Team Rocket grunt had already made it clear he had no way of healing his pokemon 'tool'. Damien was not surprised by the lack of planning done by the lowly Team Rocket member.
(OOC - Potion used on Kara and Kara uses Water Gun on the Team Rocket Grunt's Meowth)
