After defeating Falkner, and winning his first gym badge, Venom left Violet City, and began running back towards Cherrygrove City for what ever reason. However, after arriving in Cherrygrove City, Venom didn't stop there. Rather, he ran right through the small city, and kept going, entering route 29 within minutes. Ekans remained coiled around his shoulders, enjoying the ride, but also wondered where her trainer was taking them this time. After making it about halfway through route 29, Venom came to a stop, and began to look around. "Ekans?" The snake Pokémon questioned her trainer, not sure what he was looking for.
"Recently Ive heard some rumors about this area Ekans. That some kind of trial involving the Alola region was set up here not too long ago, and Id like to try it." The ninja answered his serpentine Pokémon, getting a very interested grin across his face. Venom hadn't heard much about the Alola region, since it was discovered fairly recently and all, but he was very interested to learn more about it. Even the Pokémon egg he now carried with him was a mystery to him, but that only made him even more excited for when it would finally hatch. And so, Venom continued to walk around route 29, as he and Ekans searched for this Alolan trial site. However, their focus was soon interrupted by the sound of a call for help.
Venom's search for the Alolan trial immediately stopped, as the ninja quickly turned in the direction he'd heard the call for help from. "Sounds like someone's in trouble. Lets check it out Ekans." Unable to ignore his training, Venom was honor bound as a ninja of Fuchsia City to never ignore a cry for help. Whether it be from a human or a Pokémon. "Ekans. Ekans." Ekans didn't really have the same code of honor, but she couldn't bring herself to turn down her trainer's commands, so she nodded at him and agreed to check it out with him. Venom ran right for the trees, jumped up into the branches, and began to jump from tree to tree, heading in the direction of the cry for help as fast as he could. It only took Venom a few seconds to reach the source of the plea, as he jumped from the final tree branch, and landed safely in the clearing.
After taking a quick look around, Venom's eyes stopped on a young trainer, currently being stared down by three wild Houndour. Narrowing his eyes at the pack of wild dog Pokémon, Venom called out to them to get their attention. "Hey, back off! If its a fight you want, fight us!" Ekans quickly got the message, and slithered off of Venom's shoulders, glaring at the Houndour and rattling her tail. "Ekans!" As strong as Ekans was, Venom knew that she was outnumbered and in need of some help. Lucky for them, the Poison type trainer had two more Pokémon on his team. "Get ready Ivysaur! And Zubat! You to!" Venom reached into his pocket, pulled out their Poke Ball and Dusk Ball, then tossed them into the battle.
"Ivysaur!" Both Poison type Pokémon appeared, ready for a triple battle. "Zubat!" All three of Venom's Pokémon stood side by side, starring down their three Dark/Fire type opponents, with the exception of Zubat who flew rather then stood. "Everyone attack at the same time! Ivysaur, use Take Down on the Houndour on the left! Ekans, use Dig on the one in the middle! And Zubat, use Wing Attack on the right Houndour!" Venom gave his Pokémon their orders, then ran over to the younger trainer's side, making sure that he was out of danger. "Ivy! Ivysaur!" Ivysaur charged right for his target, giving it all of his power. "Ekans!" Ekans burrowed her way underground, stealthily making her way over to her opponent. "Zu! Bat!" Zubat flew up high, then dived down at his Houndour, his wings aglow with Flying type power.

Finally! His prayers, or rather high pitched shrieks of fear, had been answered! Descending from the trees was a formidable looking trainer; dangerous poison pokémon wrapped about his shoulders like a cool scarf. The young school boy couldn't contain his relief at the sight of the older boy. "H-Hey!" was all he could choke out between the tears pouring down his face. He would have waved too but his arms were busy being full of three baby pokémon sharing in the young lad's fear. A clap of distant thunder made him jump. Venom's own shout made all three houndour's ears flick back, two fully turning around to directly face the intruder. Each bore a collar pressed with their names, signaling they were owned by someone. The leftmost one, labeled Helena, and the slightly larger and meanest of them in the center, called Havoc, turned on Venom immediately while the third, Abyss, kept his attention on the school boy in case the kid thought this was his chance to flee. "Yeah y-you. Go fight them," the little kid urged. Abyss lurched forward and snapped at the air in front of the school boy, causing him to stumble back and hit the ground with a yelp. He curled up with his baby pokémon and covered his head, peaking through his fingers to see if the trainer would be able to indeed save him. He watched as two balls of light burst to life and revealed a powerful looking ivysaur and a zippy zubat. It was promising, and even more so when the rain began to fall. With the menacing dogs being a fire type that would assuredly put a damper on the type advantage they'd have over the grass pokémon. As the school boy cowered, silently wishing Venom the best of luck, the three angry pups made some distance from the boy to face off against the three bigger threats that the poison trainer presented. They snarled menacingly, but compared to Venom's team the trio still looked wimpy. Boils of embers were only just beginning to build up in Helena's mouth when Ivysaur set upon her like a juggernaut. She was trampled beneath his girth, finding that despite her resolve to stand by Havoc Ivysaur's attack was in all means a true take down. The ease of their fellow going down made the other two stutter, Zubat coming up on Abyss next. With an expertly executed flick of his wings he caught the dumbfounded hound in the throat and sent Abyss face first in the mud coughing. Havoc blinked at his two downed companions before looking to the final one on Venom's team only to find the slippery snake rapidly descending beneath the ground. With a panicked rush Havoc attempted to send a flurry of embers to singe Ekans' tail at least but between her speed an the rain quickly diminishing the fires the move was in vain. They were in trouble now. From behind the black furred hounds the school boy's eyes twinkled with hope. "He took two, two! Two down just like that," he reveled to his fellow pokémon. The boy slowly sat up in awe of what he had just witnessed. As he did Helena and Abyss also managed to get back to their feet. However, their menacing figure had faded away to whimpering. Both abandoned Havoc and fled different directions into the woods. After giving his Pokémon their orders, Venom turned slightly, and glanced at the younger trainer and his Pokémon. "Don't worry, your gonna be fine. We've got this." Venom gave them all a reassuring grin, then looked up at the sky, noticing the rain. "Ah, gentle rainfall." The ninja remarked with another grin on his face, knowing that this particular weather only served to give his side an even greater advantage then they already had. Of course, having grown up in the safari zone, the rain and thunder didn't bother Venom even a little. The Poison type trainer was also quick to notice the collars and nametags the three Houndour had on, deducing that they weren't wild Pokémon, but in fact belonged to someone.
That fact made Venom lose his grin, in favor of a more serious expression. The ninja didn't look amused in the least. "So someone close by is using their Pokémon to bully a child and his young Pokémon? How cowardly." Venom knew the trainer of these three hound Pokémon must be close by, and he found this whole scenario to be utterly inexcusable. "The strong protect the weak. If you choose to do the opposite, then you yourself are weak." Those were Venom's beliefs at least, and he spoke them while starring directly into the final Houndour's eyes, as his Ivysaur and Zubat made its teammates flee the area. "This is what bullying gets you. Your teammates left you, and now your on your own. Three against one." Venom spoke to the final Houndour once again, as Ivysaur and Zubat stared it down.
"Here's the full power of our strength. Ivysaur, use Take Down again! Zubat, show us another Wing Attack! And Ekans, hit it hard with your Dig!" The poisonous trainer made his final set of commands, knowing that this one Houndour alone would not last another round by itself. "Ivy!" His Pokémon were more then happy to oblige, as Ivysaur charged right for the final dog Pokémon. "Zubat!" It was the same for Zubat, as he flew in right beside Ivysaur. And down below the ground, Ekans was directly below the final Houndour, ready to end this whole battle for good.

Despite the hopeless situation for the young pup he was determined to save face. His allies may have fled in cowardice but he was still raring for a fight. The Houndour snarled at the other two still visible in his way and stood his ground, dipping his nose to the ground and glaring at them, particularly the ivysaur, with a fire in its eyes. There even seemed to be a bit of a sizzling noise with each raindrop that landed on his body. The next round of attacks were declared. Havoc was ready. Or so he thought. From below he though the felt the faintest hint of a tremor. Fearing the snake bursting up from under him he dropped his attention from the other two in order to dodge to the side. Thinking he'd gotten the better of ekans he prepped to strike the moment she slithered her way up, but nothing happened. Nothing that the houndour was expecting anyway. Like a train ivysaur rammed into havoc's side, throwing the weaker pup to the ground in a wet tumble. It was harder than he could have imagined, or even possibly steeled himself for. Stars were spinning in his eyes as he struggled to stand. Now he understood why the other two had fled so readily. These three were monsters! He didn't stand a chance against just one let alone all three. Tossing aside any pride the dark fire type yelped and dashed away into the forest, leaving Jimmy free from the pack's torment. "WOOOOOW! That was amazing!" the kid's voice boomed like one of the thunderclaps, albeit higher pitched. The three pokémon in his arms jumped into the air and squeaked in kind and the bundle of younglings scurried their way over to Venom with a sparkle of intense admiration. "You were so cool! We would've been goners without you mister, thank you so much. I-I don't even have..." he cut himself off as an idea hit him. The boy's eyes dropped to his lunch kit and his hands immediately began unzipping the front pocket. All of the baby pokémon were still ogling Venom and his pokémon, completely transfixed, while the boy withdrew something and thrust it into the air dangling between his fingers. "I want you to have this. A superhero like you would totally get maximum use of it. I'll even..." he paused to take a breath; possibly for the first time since he was standing by the ninja. His Budew chirped, drawing his attention away from their savior to look upon the little bud. The two looked at each other for a moment, the other couple of babies also taking a moment to smile brightly at the young boy. He smiled back and nodded. "... you have to take one of my friends with you. Make them strong and amazing just like your ivysaur. Please?" VICTORY!

As soon as the final Houndour ran off into the trees, Venom lowered his guard, the danger averted. Ekans emerged from the ground as well, rejoining Ivysaur and Zubat. Venom gave his three Pokémon a smile, very happy with their performance in this battle, even if it was very easy for them. "You all battled well together. We really do make a great team, don't we?" All three of Venom's Poison type Pokémon smiled back at him, and nodded in full agreement with their trainer. However, the attention of the ninja and his team of venomous Pokémon was quickly recaptured when they heard the younger trainer's cheers. Venom listened to everything the younger trainer had to say, then smiled at him too, grateful to hear such words from him. "Thank you, and your very welcome. And please, call me Venom." The ninja introduced himself to the young boy with a bow, then looked at him again, listening to everything else he had to say. First, Venom graciously accepted the Sooth Bell, then immediately turned his attention to his Zubat. "Here Zubat, I want you to hold onto this." Zubat landed on Venom's arm, then Venom slowly used the ribbon to tied the Sooth Bell around Zubat's neck, careful not to make it too tight though. The Poison type trainer knew that Zubat's final evolution would require a great deal of friendship, and he also knew that the Sooth Bell would provide just that. "Zu. Zubat." The bat Pokémon smiled at his new accessory, happy to receive a gift from his trainer. The next words that came from the younger trainer were a bit of a surprise to Venom, as he quickly turned back to Jimmy, and looked down at his three young Pokémon. As Venom began to think it over, Ivysaur stepped forward, walking over to Budew. "Ivysaur. Saur." The seed Pokémon smiled at the small bud Pokémon, forming a bond with it almost right away, especially since they just so happened to have the exact same typing. Upon seeing this reaction, Venom got another smile on his face, looking down at the small Budew. "Very well, if you insist. Budew, welcome to Team Toxic." Venom accepted Budew's Poke Ball from Jimmy, then recalled Budew into it for later, happy to have another Poison type Pokémon on the team. "Thank you, I promise Ill raise Budew into a magnificent poison Pokémon." With that taken care of, Venom recalled both Ivysaur and Zubat back to their Poke Ball and Dusk Ball for some rest, then turned his head in the direction the three Houndour's ran off in. The ninja knew he still had to look for the Alola trial around the area, but his adventurous side couldn't resist following the three dog Pokémon and taking a look at where they went. "Take care of yourself Jimmy, it was nice to meet you. Ekans, lets follow those Houndour and see what comes of it." Venom said with a grin, as Ekans slithered back up onto her trainer's shoulders, ready for more adventure. "Ekans. Ekans." With that, Venom waved goodbye to Jimmy and his remaining two Pokémon, then jumped back into the trees, following the Houndour that ran to the right first. Venom had no idea what he'd find as he jumped from tree to tree, but like always, he couldn't wait to find out. The storm continued after the three Houndour split in different directions. As they broke off in their separate paths, the Houndour taking the right path was followed by a trainer in the trees. The Houndour, after being defeated, wasn't able to get away too quickly, making it easier for the Poison-type wielding trainer to keep up, jumping from tree to tree. The rain made the ground slippery, another precaution the Houndour had to keep in mind as it continued to run, seemingly knowing exactly where it was headed and where it was trying to get away too. It wasn't too long before the Houndour reached where it was heading, but it wasn't quite able to shake off the trainer giving chase off of his tail. The Houndour had led them to a small farm, not too far away from Cherrygrove. As the Houndour arrived, a few Miltanks could be seen all around in the fields surrounding the farm, in a fenced off area. Most of the Miltanks were presumably inside one of the barns to avoid having to stay out in the storm and the rain it brought. The Houndour ran up to an older farmer and circled around him before sitting down and laying beside him, tired from the battle and having to dart away from the trainer. "Why do you keep getting angry and running off, Abyss?" The farmer gave his Houndour a questioning look. "Where do you go? I get worried about you while you are gone." He petted the dark-type Pokemon as he spoke. They sat inside a barn, out of the reach of the rain. The Houndour looked up as he saw Venom approaching. As the trainer appeared following the Houndour, the farmer introduced himself. "Why hello there!" The farmer said. "I'm sorry if my Abyss here has been causin' you any trouble.. Why, he's been actin' quite weird and angry lately, and I'm not quite sure of why that is...""My name is Bill by the way. I'm the owner of this here little ole' farm. Now... I've been thinking, do you think perhaps it could be somethin' I've been feeding him? Ever since I changed his diet a while back, he's been acting quite strange and angry at times." Bill walked around a moment and found a tray sitting on a shelf, and brought it over to Venom. "You see, well here, this is what I've been feeding him... Do you think perhaps he doesn't like one of these foods?"

Venom didn't mind the rain one bit, as he continued to jump from tree to tree, never taking his eyes off the Houndour he'd chosen to follow. During the battle, he'd assumed that the three Houndour all bellowed to the same trainer, so the ninja was confused when they all took off in three separate directions. When this particular Houndour's trail lead him to a farm, Venom was a bit surprised, taking a quick look around. This did make sense to him though. Every farm needs a guard dog, as well as a dog to rein in the herd if they wander off. Still, if that was the case, Venom wondered what this Houndour was doing so far away from this farm, terrorizing a kid and his small Pokémon. With Ekans still coiled around his shoulders, Venom stepped onto the farmland, hoping the owner wouldn't mind.
When the Poison type trainer approached the house, and was greeted by the owner, he smiled, and bowed to the farmer. "Oh, hello there. I didn't mean to trespass. My name is Venominon Ouroboros, but please, just call me Venom. And this is my good friend, Ekans." Ekans stayed on Venom's shoulders, but bowed as well, following her trainer's example. "Ekans." Both trainer and Pokémon raised their heads a few seconds after, and moved out of the rain, listening to what the farmer had to say. Venom nodded as he listened, then looked at the items Bill had brought out to him, as it all started to make sense to him now. "I see. Yeah, that would do it. Ya have to be very careful with a Pokémon's diet. Im not really an expert on this sort of thing, but Ive spent more then half my life in the wild, so Ive picked up a few things. Lets see if we cant figure this out."
Venom explained to farmer Bill, then took a closer look at each of the items on the tray. "Hmmm...I don't think its the soda or the berry juice, both are sweet and healing. As for the lava cookie, Houndour's a Fire type, and these come from Lavaridge Town in Hoenn. They specialize in Fire types, so I doubt its this either." Venom spoke out loud as he judged all the items as best as he could, knowing that Bill will need this information if he doesn't have it already. It was then that the ninja turned his attention to the three berries he saw on the tray, having eaten these lots of times himself while living in the wild. "Oran berries are kind of hard to the touch, and their not really the sweetest berries in the bunch, but with their natural healing properties, all Pokémon eat these normally."
The Poison type trainer dismissed the Oran Berry, figuring that it wasn't the culprit for Houndour's aggressive behavior. "Tamato berries are super spicy, but again, Houndour's a Fire type Pokémon, and Tamato berries also have special properties that help make a Pokémon more friendly when eaten. And as far as Bluk berries go, they have a strong sour taste to them, and they make your mouth black when eaten. It could be the Bluk berry and its sour taste, but that doesn't sound very likely to me. Next!" Venom declared, moving the three berries aside for now, leaving only two more items on the tray for him to examine. The ninja then picked up the small bag containing the Secret Potion, and looked it over this time. "This is a Secret Potion made only in Cianwood City here in Johto. I don't really know what's in it, but I do know that their made to heal any and all health problems a Pokémon might have. So I cant see why this would cause problems for your Houndour either."
This left only one option, and as Venom turned to the Revival Herb, he got a rather disgusted look on his face. "Yuck! This is a Revival Herb! You feed your Pokémon this stuff every day?! No wonder your Houndour is so bitter! Its just like this herb!" Venom cleared his throat, calming down, then turned to farmer Bill again. "Sorry, but Ive seen this happen before. It even happened to me once. Look, Revival Herbs are very helpful items. They completely heal a Pokémon if it faints during or after a battle, but Pokémon usually don't eat these things unless they have to. Revival Herbs have a very bitter taste to them, so wild Pokémon almost never eat these things as a meal or a snack. Again, Im not a doctor or anything, but if I had to make a guess, Id say this is what's causing your Houndour's recent rise in aggression. Lets see." Venom gave the farmer an explanation, then knelt down to Abyss, holding the Revival Herb close to the dog Pokémon's face as a test, just to see if he was right on or not.

As the trainer, who revealed his name to be Venom, talked to the old farmer about the food he had shown the trainer on the Houndour's tray, Bill listened carefully to what the Pokemon trainer had to say about each of the items that was on the tray. Each of the items on the tray Bill would give to his farm Houndour on a usual basis, So it would make sense if it was any one food item in the diet too. He had heard of food doing that type of thing to Pokemon before, but he wasn't quite sure which items specifically he had heard made Pokemon behave that way. Perhaps it was some sort of powder he had heard of? But, that wasn't what he was feeding the Houndour so then maybe that wasn't the case. As Bill continued to listen to Venominon talk about each of the items, the trainer finally got to the last item he had looked at in the bunch. Judging from Venom's reaction, the farmer knew that the trainer cleary did not like the Revival Herbs he gave his Houndour. Not one bit, as the words he used displayed. Bill seemed surprised by the sudden change in emotion that Venom showed, however. Listening to the trainer talk, the farmer seemed to agree that everything he was saying could be true. But there was only one way to test it out. As the trainer held the Revival Herb up to the Houndour, Abyss growled a little bit at the herb and took a step back. It was as if the Pokemon knew its bitterness but just ate it because its trainer asked it too, and it had shown no sign of disliking it before so Bill had no idea previously of the herbs bitterness. "Ah yes, It must be the Revival Herb I have been feeding it then!" Bill said to the trainer. "Thank you so very much for the help! I will take the Revival Herb out of the diet I have been feeding Abyss here for good right away. This helps so much, why, thank you! Speaking of which, I've got somethin' for ya. Be right back." The farmer turned around and went into the house for a short moment, and returned with three bottles of MooMoo Milk. "I've got these here for ya," the farmer said to Venom as he returned, "for any trouble my Abyss may have caused and as a thanks for helpin' me solve the problem in his food. Three bottles of fresh MooMoo Milk! Great for restoring your Pokemon's health. Hopefully a trainer like you can put it to good use. Thank you again, kind trainer."Farmer Bill Presents Venom with 3 bottles of fresh MooMoo Milk for his journey ahead! Will Venom pursue after the other two Houndours, taking the left and center paths?

Upon seeing the Houndour's reaction to the Revival Herb, Venom smiled, and pulled the herb away from the dog Pokémon before standing back up. The trainer then put the Revival Herb down, and turned back to farmer Bill, listing to everything he had to say with a smile. "It was no trouble at all. Im always happy to help out a Pokémon in distress. And please, don't worry about it. Abyss is fine now, and he didn't hurt anyone. That's all that matters." Venom gave the farmer one final bow, then stood up straight again when said farmer left to go get something. The ninja didn't really need any sort of reward, but thought it rude not to accept. What ever it would be.
Venom smiled again when Bill returned, and presented him with three bottles of MooMoo Milk, gladly accepting them from him. "This really wasn't necessary, but thank you very much Bill. Ill be sure to put them to good use in the future." The Poison type trainer proceeded to put the three bottles of milk away into his bag, knowing that they'll definitely come in handy further down the line. Once that was done, Venom and Ekans turned their heads, facing the forest they emerged from several moments ago. The rain had finally stopped, and Venom once again thought about the other two Houndour that ran off into the trees, his curiosity once again growing. Without even thinking about it, Venom already knew what he was gonna do next.
Turning back to Bill and Abyss, Venom smiled once more, as he waved them goodbye. "Im very glad I was able to help out here, but we should be going now. Something tells me there are two other Houndour in this forest that might need some help. Farewell, and take care." The ninja turned, and ran off towards the forest yet again. As he did, Ekans waved goodbye to the farmer and his Pokémon as well, using her tail. "Ekans!" Once Venom reached the forest, he repeated his actions, and jumped up into the trees, jumping from branch to branch. Venom made his way towards the middle path this time, wondering where the Houndour named Havoc had run off to.
OOC: Venom is taking the center path this time. Also, a total of 397 words in this post for my Salandit egg.

As Venom made his way down the center path he soon came to a clearing with a large Contest tent with a young man standing outside. The young man ran over to Venom and his Pokemon as soon as he saw him approach. The young man stopped to catch his breath for a moment before introducting himself as well as to ask Venom for help. " Oh thank goodness a trainer, my name is Sammy and I have been watching this tent for some time. I am absolutely sure an abusive trainer lives here but I do not have any Pokemon of my own to investigate." After catching his breath again he continued on with his plea. " Officer Jenny and the rest of the police have been too busy to investigate and you are the first person I have seen in the past few days who might be able to help. I do not know if those poor Pokemon will last much longer otherwise. Could you please go look inside the tent and see what you find?" He pleaded as he walked towards the entrance of the tent. As they approached the unmistakable sound of a Houndour whine caused Sammy to freak out. " Oh gosh I am going to try and find Officer Jenny while you look around. I really think the police will be needed here." As he ran off a man came into view from inside the tent. " What do you think you are doing here? This is private property and I will not tolerate tresspassers. Glameow lets get rid of this pest before he gets a chance to snoop around anymore." The cat Pokemon approached Venom ready to strike the very second he sent out a Pokemon. As Sammy was off looking for the Police Venom would not have anyone to help him if he could not defeat the shady character. Coordinator Rod is trying to force you off his property, he sends out Glameow (Level 10). Please select a Pokemon. Egg word count has been updated.

Just like with Abyss, Venom continued to follow the Houndour known as Havoc, until he came upon a contest tent in the middle of the forest. Naturally, this surprised the Poison type trainer, as he didn't expect this at all. "Jeez. First a farm, and now a contest tent. What's up with this forest?" Venom asked, surprised again that he was able to find all these hidden building structures, but still no sign of the Alola trial site. That seriously struck him, and Ekans for that matter as odd. Never the less, Venom jumped down from the tree, and started walking over to the tent to do some investigating.
Not even halfway to the tent, Venom's ninja senses immediately picked up on the presence of another human being approaching him, and fast too. Venom then quickly turned to Sammy, and listened to what he had to say, shocked by what the younger male had told him. However, the ninja's shock quickly melted away into anger, as he clenched his fist tightly. Quickly taking notice of her trainer's rage, Ekans knew what this meant, not very surprised by it at this point. "An abusive trainer you say? If there's one thing I cant stand, its human who disrespect and hurt Pokémon. Go find the police kid, Ill handle things here." Venom spoke to the younger male in an angered tone, as he walked over to the tent's opening.
After Sammy ran off to find the police, Venom calmed himself down, putting his ninja stealth training to good use. Unfortunately, not all humans are as foolish as the team rocket grunt he'd faced a while back. The second Venom heard the voice of this abusive trainer, he jumped back, away from the tent, landing safely on his feet several yards away. Once the abusive trainer and his Glameow emerged from the tent, Venom and Ekans shot them a pair of glares, listening to them speak before offering a retort. "Private property my foot! People who treat Pokémon the way you do has no room to complain, but if you insist, we'll really give you something to complain about! Lets do this Ekans! Use Dig on Glameow now!" Giving her tail a good rattle, Ekans quickly slithered off of Venom's shoulders, and moved out onto their makeshift battlefield. "Ekans! Ekans! Ekans!" The snake Pokémon wasted no time in burrowing her way underground, stealthily making her way over to Glameow to deliver her best shot.

The rattle on Ekans tail scared Glameow a bit as her physical strength dropped upon hearing it but she still stood ready for the snake as soon as it started to make its move. Rod gave his order while responding to Venom's accusations as he wanted to get rid of him as quickly as possible. " How I treat my own Pokemon is my business but kicking you off of my property certainly is. If you thought Dig was going to save your Ekans you are sadly mistaken as my Glameow has a nice little trick up her sleeve to stop that move before it can score a hit. Glameow use Fake Out and force that Ekans back to the surface." He said as the cat Pokemon dived into the hole Ekans created and followed the snake. As she caught up to it she faked a swipe from above and then unleashed a real one from below. The impact from the attack forced Ekans back to the surface ending the snake Pokemon's chance to strike at least this time. Rod knew he could not use Fake Out again as it would not work but he was pleased to see he had stopped the first attempt to use Dig against him. " Good job Glameow you did a good job putting this pests plans on hold for the time being. You could have been quicker but at least you did not screw up this time. That last whipping I gave you must have paid off unlike the friendly method most trainers try. Fear is what makes you stronger and this pest will learn the hard way that fear trumps love any day."Though Rod was pretty confident after seeing his plan work out perfectly he did not realize how big the level gap between the two Pokemon was and he did not have a backup plan if things did not keep going his way. This next round would be a very important one as he had to keep up the momentum in this battle to keep the small upper hand he had now that his one off trick was gone for the rest of the battle. Trainer Battle Weather: Normal Rod's Glameow | Level 10 | Limber HP: 100% (32/32) Status: Normal, Attack -1 Used Fake Out! VS
Venom's Ekans | Level 18 | Intimidate HP: 86% (40/46) Status: Normal Ekans Flinched!OOC edit: I just realized I did not add the words to the Salandit egg but they have now been updated.

His opponent's word only made Venom continue to glare at him, and with each word from his mouth, Venom only continued to get more and more angry. And when Glameow used Fake Out and forced Ekans back to the surface, the ninja was actually surprised for a moment. "Crap. I always forget about that move. Maybe I should've went with Zubat for this battle." Venom said to himself in a frustrated tone, knowing that Zubat's ability, Inner Focus, would've prevented Fake Out's flinching effect from working completely. However, Venom also knew that Fake Out only works once per battle. So from here on out, he and Ekans would have nothing to fear from such an under leveled foe.
"Very well then. If that's truly the way that you feel, then you leave us no choice. Me and my Pokémon will show you where true power comes from, by winning this battle. Together." Venom spoke to Rod with burning determination, and a fire in his eyes, as his eyes turned serpent-like for a moment. As her trainer spoke, Ekans rattled her tail once more, showing off the same level of determination. "Ekans!" Listening to Rod's next set of words, as he spoke to his Glameow, Venom's snake-like glare returned, a true testament to just how enraged the Poison type trainer had become. It was the same for Ekans, as Rod quickly found himself being glared at by two pairs of snake eyes, and they wanted to show him their true strength more then anything else at that very moment.
"That's it! I haven't met too many humans in my time outside the Kanto Safari Zone, but there are still way more people like you then Id like in this world of ours! Even if it takes me my entire life time, Ill make sure people like you stop mistreating Pokémon!" Venom yelled at Rod, never very good at maintaining his cool around people like him. "You may have gotten us last time, but Fake Out wont work a second time! Use Dig one more time Ekans, and this time, make sure to knock their blocks off!" The ninja issued a repeat of his previous command, knowing that it would work this time. "Ekans! Ekans!" After giving her trainer a quick nod, Ekans burrowed her way underground again, digging a new hole this time.
OOC: Once more, this post exceeds 400 words, so that's another 400 words on my Salandit egg. Also, I noticed no one added the 400 words from my last post on this thread to my Salandit egg. So if you'd be so kind, that's a total of 800 words going to my Salandit egg. Thanks so much.

Rod did not feel threatened by Venom's threats at all as he and Glameow got ready to strike again. He was feeling pretty confident after getting Venom to fall for his trap and did not think he would have to worry too much even if Ekans was able to land a successful Dig attack now. " That is a lot of small talk for someone who fell for such a simple trick, this round however will be a show of force, Glameow use Scratch." He said as the cat Pokemon ran towards Ekans with her claws extended ready to strike. Unlike the first time however she was not fast enough as the snake dug a new hole forcing her to give up on the attack. She waited knowing the snake was going to pop up any second hoping to get another chance to strike and Rod made it clear he wanted no mercy to be shown. " Glameow tear that snake to bits as soon as it pops up with another Scratch. We do not want to let them make a comeback after all of this." Just as he finished speaking Ekans popped up from behind Glameow and slammed into her causing a massive amount of damage but dig not being the same type attack as the snake allowed Glameow to endure just enough of the hit to keep fighting though by now she was in awful shape with little chance of a comeback. Even so she was going to try. She ran up to the snake after recovering from the huge hit she suffered and scratched the snake right across the face. Her claws even poked the snake in the eye causing a Critical Hit but not knocking the snake out even with the lucky strike. This caused Rod to grow worried as the snake could easily knock out Glameow with one more successful strike. " Dang it Glameow you let them make a comeback that quickly. We have to end this now before things get any worse." Despite his false hopes however things looked rather bleak as the cat Pokemon had no hope of outrunning Ekans as things currently were. Trainer Battle Weather: Normal Rod's Glameow | Level 10 | Limber HP: 18% (6/32) Status: Normal, Attack -1 Used Scratch x2 (1st missed, 2nd Critical Hit)! VS
Venom's Ekans | Level 18 | Intimidate HP: 71% (33/46) Status: Normal Ekans used Dig!OOC: I noticed after I modded you last time I totally forgot to add that but it is all caught up now. I do apologize for that oversight.

Listening to more of Rod's big talk, Venom continued to glare at him, despising him more and more with each word from coordinator's mouth. Venom's serpent-like gaze was still locked on his opponent, as he offered him a piece of advice. "That may be true, but skills and tricks are only part of the battle. Me and Ekans have something that you and your Glameow are lacking. Pure power." The ninja spoke in a calm and collected tone, despite his angered, snake-like glare. That's when Ekans resurfaced, and really let Glameow have it, showing Rod exactly what Venom was talking about.
Even after Glameow's Scratch attack had struck Ekans, and dealt a critical hit, it only further proved Venom's words to be true. The difference in power between these two Pokémon was just too great, and Venom wasn't about to give Rod a chance to find a way out of this battle. Ekans shook her head after Glameow's claws had struck her face, shaking off the damage she'd taken from the attack almost immediately. True, the snake Pokémon had still taken some damage, but Ekans still had plenty of fight left in her, which was far more then anyone could say for her feline foe at the moment. "Ekans." Giving her tail another rattle, Ekans matched her trainer's serpentine glare once more, starring down her own opponent with great intensity. Both Venom's and Ekans' thoughts were one in the same at that moment. They were both ready to put an end to this battle, and show this disrespectful trainer what true strength is all about.
"Its far too late for that. Things are about to get much worse for you!" The Poison type trainer yelled at his opponent one more time, then proceeded to lick his lips a bit, much like how a snake always sticks its tongue out of its mouth every few seconds. "Ive had enough of this trainer Ekans, if you could even call him that. Use your Bite attack, and finish this up!" Venom didn't wish to waste anymore time or energy dealing with Rod and his Glameow, so he gave Ekans her final command for this battle, knowing that it would put an end to their battle against them. "Ekans!" The snake Pokémon had a very similar mindset, and slithered right for Glameow, her mouth open as wide as she could make it.
OOC: Its cool, thanks. Here's another 400 words for my Salandit egg.
