As Marchbaby and Vör reached the entrance to the Dark Cave the young dragon apprentice sent out Shocker knowing that it's light was the only way to safely explore the cave. " Shocker we need your Flash so we can see where we are going." He said as the trio of magnets started to build up their electric energy to produce light. It was far brighter than Marchbaby remembered but as soon as they stepped into the cave the light barely made a dent in the darkness filled cave. Even with the limited range of vision they had it was enough to safely explore without putting themselves in danger and for that he was quite pleased.
" Welcome to the Dark Cave Vör, Bonecrusher was my greatest capture the last time I was here but a number of other Pokemon live here that I would like to capture. Maybe luck will be on our side while you are training. Even if we do not encounter one of the Pokemon I have not captured yet a number of them are weak to at least one of your types so training here should be pretty interesting." The young Lucario looked around quite curious as to what secrets the cave might be hiding as well as looking forward to being ready for the next gym leader when her training here was complete. She had a good feeling as she started to think out loud.
" Oh my this cave is quite impressive, I can see why a number of Pokemon live here. I doubt many people visit here and the darkness alone would provide great cover from most threats a Pokemon might face. My Aura senses can pierce through the darkness though so the dark will not help them hide from me unlike most Pokemon. I can already sense a number of them now watching us, seeing as how a Lucario is a very rare sight in Johto to begin with I do not blame them for their curiosity or apprehension to come out and challenge us right away." Just as she finished thinking out loud one of the auras she sensed started to move towards them and Vör got ready to battle.
" I know that look on your face means something is close. Vör be ready but do not attack until we know what it is first. I do not want to knock out a rare Pokemon on accident because we attack out of the blue." He said as they waited for the approaching figure.
OOC: Waiting for an encounter.

Since this cave was so dark year round, all the Pokémon found inside were not used to even the faintest of lights. So when March's Pokémon used it's Flash to light their way, nearly all the wild Pokémon in the area immediately shielded their eyes and ran for cover. Some ended up running into rocks or the cave walls while doing so, but they still managed to hide themselves in seconds. Once their eyes had gotten used to the light, several Pokémon peaked out of their respective hiding spots to see what was going on, and were surprised to see a human and a foreign Pokémon. To most, if not all the Pokémon in the Dark Cave, this was a treat, getting to see such a rare Pokémon in this part of the world of all places. Still, others were afraid of the unknown, and chose to stay hidden, or do their best to look for a way to escape deeper into the cave without being noticed. However, not all the wild Pokémon of his cave were afraid of the light or these new faces. As a single aura signature approached this trainer and Pokémon, the sounds of rock scrapping against dirt echoed through the cave. What ever Pokémon was making this sound was getting closer and closer by the second, moving as fast as it could with the body it had. Once the Pokémon had finally shown itself, it glared up at March and his Lucario, without a single hint of fear in its eyes. "Geodude! Geo! Geodude!" The Pokémon in question was revealed to be a wild Geodude, and this Rock/Ground type looked ready for a brawl. It had no idea the disadvantage it was up against with March's Fighting/Steel type partner, but that didn't stop this Geodude from jumping up and down as high off the ground as it could, showing off it's strength to the two of them. A wild Geodude (LV 14) appeared! Select a pokémon for battle.

Seeing a Geodude as the first encounter was quite good news for Marchbaby as it was one of the Pokemon he needed to capture anyway and despite being a common species he knew how useful they could be. " I think this Geodude was looking for a fight but I might just have a better idea if our luck continues to be this good. I have a few Dusk Balls I have been wanting to use and this would be a great time to try one. As much as I would love to have you battle it Vör I think sitting back for this one will be the best option for now." Given her huge type advantage she fully understood and nodded still standing by just in case things went sour.
As Marchbaby searched for one of the Dusk Balls Vör started to speak to the Geodude to pass the time and maybe lower its guard a bit so it would be easier to catch. " As much as I would love to fight you my master has other plans, I will say that if you come with us her can make you strong just like he has done with me. Believe it or not I was not much bigger than you when he first hatched me but look at me now, I still need more training but I am so much stronger thanks to his help." Just as she finished speaking Marchbaby found one of the Dusk Balls and held it out to show the Geodude how serious he was about trying to capture it over having a battle.
" Vör is right, I can make you quite a bit stronger with hard work and determination. It will take a while but I can feel your potential and with help I can guarantee you will unlock that potential. So will you come along with us?" As he hoped the message got through to the rocky Pokemon he took aim ready to try his luck at the capture and he winded up a pitch. He threw the ball as hard as he could before hoping luck would be on his side. " Go Dusk Ball capture that Geodude." Vör was also quite eager as a victory would bring her one step closer to being ready for the next gym.
" Please let this work, I can feel myself getting so close to being ready for a gym battle and every little victory helps." She said as the ball continued to fly towards Geodude getting closer by the second to the target.
OOC: Vör is sent out but instead of attacking March uses a Dusk Ball. Updating the ball myself.

The Geodude waited for it's opponents to strike the first blow, feeling solid as a rock, and ready to take the hit. The Rock/Ground type Pokémon was still blissfully unaware of the overwhelming advantage it's opponent had over it, but at the moment, this Geodude's focus was solely on battling. Nothing more, nothing less. A rather simple thought process, but that seemed to work well for most Rock type Pokémon. Smashing their opponent's flat with their raw power, and thinking about things like type advantage once the battle had come to an end. Once March's Lucario had stepped forward, Geodude looked up at her, and smashed it's fists together to show that it was ready and wouldn't hold anything back. However, what happened next caught this stone Pokémon completely by surprise. At first, Geodude listened to everything Vör had to say, and was a little angered by her rather cocky first statement. But as the wild Geodude continued to listen, it began to calm itself down. It had to admit, the things this Pokémon and trainer were saying didn't sound very bad to it at all. Up to this point, Geodude had always gotten stronger by battling other Pokémon in the Dark Cave, but they weren't enough to satisfy it's desire to battle and grow stronger. The thoughts of travelling around with this trainer, battling new Pokémon, and even evolving one day ran through this Geodude's head many times after that. So much so that it didn't notice the Dusk Ball flying through the air, until it hit Geodude right between it's eyes, and the rock Pokémon got sucked inside. Geodude then did what most Pokémon do in this situation, and tried to fight it's way out of the sphere, but with the darkness of this cave giving it power, it's efforts to escape quickly proved futile. Geodude has been captured! Please complete the following code. [img src="https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/bw/geodude.png"]

The easy battle was quite pleasing to Vör as it allowed her to gain an easy level while also getting her first taste of the kind of Pokemon she would be battling for a while until she became strong enough to move onto her first gym battle. Though she knew most of the Pokemon in the Dark Cave would not be much of a challenge she was glad at least one of them had avoided getting hit by any of her attacks thanks to his desire to capture the young Geodude. Now that their first battle was over they set out to look for another Pokemon to fight as Vör continued to hold her Lucky Egg so she could gain as much experience as she could every battle. " That Geodude really brought back some memories of the last time I was here, I sure am glad to have a stronger team on this visit though so I do not have to worry about any of you getting hurt like some of the younger Pokemon I have. You did great Vör and hopefully we keep running into Pokemon that can net you some good experience. That Geodude was a wonderful start but things will get a bit more tricky going forward with your current level." He said as the young Lucario picked up on another living thing heading their way. She wasted no time at all in getting ready for another battle. " I can feel something else approaching us from the darkness, I cannot quite make out exactly what it is yet but unlike most Pokemon darkness will never stop me from tracking anything that might be a threat. I do hope this next encounter will be another good one." As she turned to look into the darkest part of the cave she started to build up her aura ready t strike whatever it was as soon as Marchbaby gave her the order. He did not want to knock out whatever it was before knowing its identity but at the same time was ready to give the order to attack unless the forthcoming Pokemon was one he had not captured yet. He watched Vör as she stood with an Aura Sphere in her paw hoping the additional light from the attack would give him enough heads up to call her off if it was a Pokemon he wanted to capture. " Hold up just long enough for this next Pokemon to show itself before you strike, I would hate to knock out a Pokemon I still need to capture to complete the Pokedex."OOC: Waiting for the next encounter. The cave was rather quiet, and a tiny Aron was busy chewing on some metal. it heard somebody coming, and the rest of it's pack went fleeing deeper into the cave leaving the one tiny aron by itself. The pokemon saw the Trainer and its Lucario and went into a rather cute yet intimidating battle stance. The Tiny Steel type was ready to attack, and looked at the duo. Would they challenge this aaron? Or flee away? Either way, the Aron seemed to be protecting it's Iron Stash it was munching on. Go on bring it, the Aaron dared the trainer and the Lucario with tis cry. "A ARON!" A WILD ANGRY LEVEL 14 ARON APPERED What will you di? Fight or Flee?

As soon as Marchbaby saw the Aron he knew it would be the perfect sparing partner for Vör to face and gain some experience as Aron were not known for their special defense or their speed. " Oh would you look at that an Aron, This is perfect for you Vör. Just avoid using physical moves against it and we should be good. It is a good thing you know Aura Sphere or else this battle would be a bit more tricky given how good Aron are at taking physical attacks." He said as Vör studied her foe for a moment. Having spent some time around Bonecrusher she was pretty familiar with Aron's fighting tactics but it was odd encountering one that was not shiny.
" Aron do not have much of a color variation between their shiny and non shiny versions it seems minus the eyes, those blue eyes are so cute but they are a major drop in intimidation from Bonecrusher's blood red eyes. I feel kind of bad battling something so cute but I am not going to back down regardless." She said as the aura she had built up was ready to go the second she could pick out exactly where she wanted to aim her attack. As she wanted Aron to suffer as little as possible a blow to the thickest part of its armor on its head would likely only leave it with a nasty headache and so she decided to aim right between the eyes.
" Forgive me for this Aron but I must give this battle my all so that I can grow stronger before I face my first gym leader." After asking for forgiveness she held up her right paw and lined up the center of her palm to the height of Aron's head and got ready to launch her attack. She was taking every precaution to both make sure she did not miss and to make sure her attack hit right on the mark. As soon as she was sure her attack would go as planned she forced a sphere of aura from her paw as it headed directly towards Aron at a very high speed. The blue ball even lit up a tiny part of the cave as it traveled along its path. Vör waited and hoped the steel type would not suffer too much while Marchbaby eagerly awaited the results as well.

The Aron had not know how little it was prepared to face such a fierce opponent as the combo of March and his Lucario. The small steel-type charged the Lucario, willing to do anything to protect it's metal snack. "Aron!!!" It let out a loud cry as it continued its furious charge towards the Dark Cave's visitors. It was not going to let the Lucario eat its snack. It was too young, it was more worried about the metal than its own health. The wild Pokemon didn't even notice as Vör prepared her move. It continued it's charge, undaunted by and not paying attention the preparation the Lucario was taking to make sure harmed it the least possible. The accuracy of the aura power that flew at the Aron seemed unbelievable as it hit the target exactly as intended, hitting on the thick side of its armor. The move's power wouldn't be stopped by the armor. It sent the small steel-type flying into the wall of the cave, and falling to the ground after that. It didn't even make an attempt to get back up, it knew it was unable to get back up. "A- Aron..." The Pokemon let out a small noise in pain, but even that was weak as the energy drained from Aron after taking such a blow. The metal snack was Vör and March's to take if they wanted, perhaps a mid-day meal?

After securing another victory Vör could feel her powers grow a little. There were still not quite high enough to handle the next gym leader but it was still enough to make her feel even more confident in her abilities. " I feel ever so slightly more powerful now, I know at this rate I will be handle a gym leader if I just keep working at it." She said as Marchbaby smiled. He wished the young Lucario's training was against stronger Pokemon but knew she did not have the durability to handle some of the Pokemon in Goldenrod without a little bit more training first. She was getting close to being able to handle them though and Marchbaby started to lay out plans for her training once she gained a few more levels.
" Once you get a little stronger we will be able to train in Goldenrod as the Pokemon there will earn you a bit more experience which will help you gain power even faster. There are a few Pokemon I would like to capture there as well so it could really help both of us out when you are ready to move on. For now however our current plan seems to be working quite nicely." Vör was quite excited by the prospect of training in the very town of the next gym leader and on top of that facing stronger Pokemon to really test her skills. Vör then picked up on something else heading their way.
" I can feel the presence of something else heading our way, I do wish my powers could offer more help in identifying things as it would help with making decisions a lot easier but I suppose it is better than not having any heads up at all. I really hope whatever we encounter will be able to offer a bit of a challenge." She said as Marchbaby started to scan the area hoping to catch a glimpse of whatever was coming their way so he could quickly make a judgement call. " No worries Vör, it is wonderful getting these heads up notices no matter how limited they are. Stand your ground but do not attack until we know for sure what we are dealing with."
Vör nodded as she started to scan the cave as well while holding her fire until Marchbaby gave her the order to attack trying to avoid knocking out a Pokemon he might need.
OOC: Waiting for another encounter.

Marchbaby's Vör the Lucario was well above her current competition at this point, she was simply making the wild pokemon that had challenged her so far within Dark Cave look weak and helpless. The wild Geodude and Aron that had stood up against Vör were left wondering whether there choice to battle had been a wise move, they simply never stood a chance against Marchbaby's fighting type pokemon. Nearby an onlooker that had been lurking within the shadows of the cave had been keeping a keen eye on the previous battle between Vör the Lucario and the wild Aron.
Vör's telepathy had assisted her in anticipating that a new foe was nearby, unfortunately her detection abilities were limited to that. This playful trickster pokemon had decided it was going to try and scare the male human and his pokemon out of the cave. Gastly had been up ahead of Marchbaby and Vör, to avoid confrontation face to face the ghost type pokemon phased into a nearby cave wall and waited for the pair to walk past. Gastly was rather patient in his approach as he allowed the human and his pokemon to move a fair distance away, thus allowing him to lurk in the shadow's and sneak up behind the pair and get the better of them early on. The wild Gastly's typing had the potential to give Vör headaches by forcing her to utilise a smaller move-set, her fighting type attacks would be pointless against the ghost type pokemon.

As Marchbaby and Vör waited for the approaching aura to come into view Marchbaby started to grow concerned when he did not see anything. As dark as the cave was he had not had any trouble spotting anything approaching until now and he thought whatever was here was a bit more dangerous than the other Pokemon they had battled. Vör on the other hand was able to detect the ghost type Pokemon behind her and quickly ruined its plans of sneaking up on her and Marchbaby. " Ah I see, this Pokemon is a bit of a trickster being a ghost type but it cannot hide from my aura powers. As smart as this Gastly is hiding will do it no good" She then pointed her paw towards the hidden Pokemon and growled.
Marchbaby had a decent amount of experience with ghost types thanks to his encounters in the Ilex Forest and raising Atropos so he started to get a bit more relaxed as he realized this battle might not be as dangerous as he had originally believed. " Well that solves one issue, usually a fighting type like you Vör would struggle with a Gastly but thanks to that TM for Flash Cannon this should not be too hard for you." The young Lucario nodded as she started to switch tactics and build up as much light energy as she could instead of using her Aura powers. As she built up her energy a sphere of brilliant light appeared between her paws as she took aim at the ghost type.
" This should be a fun test for your move since you others will not be of any use here and you have not had many chances to use Flash Cannon yet, just make sure you do not miss." Vör then waited for Gastly to try and make a move daring the spirit to try its luck so she could show it just how versatile a Lucario could be in a situation like this. " Oh sweetheart make my day, one wrong move here and you will learn not to mess with my kind." As they both waited to see if Gastly would try its luck Shocker shined its Flash towards the ghost so it would not be able to try and sneak by and attack from behind hoping that Vör would be able to bring it down before the ghost could cause too much trouble.
OOC: Vör uses Flash Cannon.

A look of anguish crossed Gastly's face as its plans to sneak up on Marchbaby and his Lucario were foiled. Before the Gastly could attack with Nightshade, a brilliant silver beam shot out of Vör's paws striking the Gastly, instantly vanquishing the wandering spirit. A sudden cold draft swept through the cave along with a ghostly howl as though another spirit had been swallowed up by the maw, sucking it into the underworld.

After soundly defeating the Gastly in a single blow Vör was able to relax for a moment now that she did not have to worry about any ghost types trying to sneak up on her or Marchbaby for the time being. Her training was going very well so far but they would not be truly pleased until after she was as strong as the rest of Marchbaby's Pokemon. " Another one down and a a bunch more to go until I will finally be ready for the next stage of our adventure." Not wanting to waste any time they started to search around the cave again trying to find another worthy opponent to face so Vör could keep gaining experience.
" It sure feels like this is a bit more life in the cave since I last came here, I do not remember Gastly living here last time so new Pokemon must be living here now. I suppose if they do not try and sneak up on us like Gastly that is a good thing but stay alert Vör." As they walked through the cave Alpha came out of it's Pokeball to offer some assistance as it was hoping to study the cave some more while helping Vör scan for more Pokemon to battle. " System scanning, alert multiple Pokemon located, Vör could you use your aura sight to peer behind that big boulder as my senses are picking up something behind it as the closest target." Though Vör was perfectly capable of scanning around without the robotic Pokemon's help she was still thankful for the tip.
" Sure, I do see something trying to hide behind that boulder, Master shall we wait and see what is hiding behind it like the others or do you wish for me to attack hoping we get lucky?" Marchbaby still being cautious as ever was not willing to knock out a Pokemon he might not have yet so his decision was pretty easy/ " As tempting as the first strike option is becoming with my luck I would rather play it safe. Continue to hold your fire until we can identify what exactly is trying to hide behind that boulder." Vör suddenly got an idea to draw out the target behind the boulder without harming it as she jumped over the boulder and landed behind the mysterious figure. She just had to wait for Shocker to shine it's light at the right angle so she would be able to see what she was about to battle.

As soon as Marchbaby realized it was a Sableye that they had encountered he regretted not buying more Dusk Balls so he could try and capture it. As he had already captured a number of ghost type Pokemon however he decided to save his last Dusk Ball for something he was really after. " A real shame I do not have more Dusk Balls since I would try and capture you but I do believe you will make another great opponent for Vör." With his option to capture it all but gone without risking his chance of capturing something he needed even more he was not going to let the experience from defeating it slip through his grasp as Vör quickly positioned herself for the battle.
" You sure are a quick little Pokemon but you cannot outrun me. I look forward to seeing what you can do in a battle." Vör cracked the knuckles in her paw as she stepped forward at a slow pace thinking of how she should aim her attack to really test the ghostly Pokemon's endurance against a stronger opponent. Though she did not want to do too much harm the diamond shaped eyes of her opponent were too inviting of a target to pass up as they looked to be Sableye's most well defended area. Now that she knew to aim at she took in a deep breath before she began building up light energy in her paws getting ready to strike once Marchbaby was ready for the fireworks show.
" I am amazed to encounter two ghost types in a row but it makes your Flash Cannon all the more useful as a coverage move. At least it helps to come prepared. Just like before Flash Cannon is going to be your best option in this battle so give it a try." Vör nodded her head as she took aim with her attack again, the darkness of the cave did not make lining u her attack any easier unlike Aura Sphere but thankfully Shocker was able to keep Sableye in a bright enough area to minimize the chance of her missing. " I hope everyone is ready for this fireworks show, if this goes as planned things might get pretty bright for the next few seconds." Her paws were glowing in a bright white light as the attack began taking on the form of a sphere.
Once the attack was ready Vör sent the attack towards Sableye with all of her might hoping that her aim would keep being right on the mark.
OOC: Vör uses Flash Cannon. Bicycle mode is still on.
