I can dig it (Operation Dig)[F]

As Tyler and his Pokemon finally made their way to the location of the next mission he got the chance to brief his Pokemon on the objectives of the mission beyond his initial warning in the Pokemon center. " Ok everyone listen up, our mission is to steal a crate of TM's containing Dig from this house. The catch is that the man who lives here can make more and as such we need him unharmed even after we have the crate in our possession so that he can make us more. Anyone who harms him or his family will have their head served on a platter so do not harm anyone as I said earlier unless I say otherwise."

After giving his warning he began searching for a way into the house but he only saw two viable options. He could pry open a window or smash in the front door. As he was never a fan of being silent the front door was his only real option as he signaled for Senorita Ramirez to stand next to the door ready to knock it down as soon as everyone was ready. " Senorita Ramirez as soon as I say "go" I want you to use Aerial Ace to knock down this door so we can get inside. It will be noisy and more than likely we will have company so be ready to use non aggressive tactics to subdue anyone we encounter." After making sure everyone was ready to go Tyler looked over at Senorita Ramirez and gave her the go ahead.

"Go" As soon as she heard the word she ran towards the door and dove straight into to causing the door to fly wide open with a loud thud. With the first part of the mission now completed they just needed to find the crate. " So far so good, now we just need to find where this nerd keeps his crate and then we can get out of here before things get too bad." Right before they could split up to look however Mania thought she could hear someone coming and let Tyler know so he could react. " I think we might not be alone, if someone else is here how should we proceed? She asked as Tyler thought of a plan.

" I've got it, Glock be ready to use Hypnosis on anyone we run into so we can avoid any physical harm." He said as they waited to see who or what was heading their way.




OOC: Waiting on the encounter with the home owner. Glock will attempt to use Hypnosis to subdue them to avoid any harm.

[Fallen]

The loud thud caused both of homeowners to jolt up from their places. The man was reading a book about the history of fossils and the woman was watching some television. "Oh no," the man said to his wife. "We have more burglars again." The man sighed, and reached over to his desk and grabbed a Pokeball of his own. He let out a sigh and the wife looked at him. "This is the first time since we've moved! I was really hoping it wouldn't happen here in Johto!" The husband started walked out from their room, slowly and cautiously with his Pokeball in hand, and his wife followed directly behind.

"Who is there!" The man shouted before coming out of the hallway with his wife behind. The Pokeball would prove to not be necessary though, as they both ate a dose of a successful hypnosis from Tyler's Bronzor, sending both the man and the woman into a deep sleep as they fell onto the floor of their house, unconscious. Now the Team Rocket Member and his Pokemon were free to explore around the house without worry from the couple. But little did he know that the family's Pokemon, Dugtrio, was still roaming around the house, ready to strike when the time came.

Tyler and his Pokemon were free to search for the crate of TMs now.

Tyler's plan to hypnotize the couple had worked like a charm as neither of them were harmed by the attack. Even though that problem was now solved there was one issue with him putting them to sleep as now he could not ask the man where the crate full of Dig TM's was located. " I knew this idea might come back to haunt me and boy is it doing so right now.  With the pest asleep we are going to have to search every inch of this place until we find that crate so we can make out getaway." Tyler said as he thought of where they should look first. Seeing the Pokeball in the man's hand made Tyler all the more eager to grab the case and run as he did not know if the man had other Pokemon.

Tyler did not know the exact layout of the house but he at least was able to narrow down the crates location to four possible areas just by using common sense and knowing the man's history " I doubt such a paranoid geezer would keep the crate in the garage or in a closet in the hallway but just about everywhere else could make sense as I know he would want to keep the crate well hidden." After debating with himself for a little while Tyler figured that the safest place to store the crate would be the attic Tyler knew he had to search there first as he gathered his Pokemon around him. He then headed upstairs trying to make no more additional noise to arouse suspicions hoping nothing else would go wrong in the mission.

Things quickly got out of hand however as the attic was far larger than they had thought and a bunch of items were scattered about making the job of finsing the crate nearly impossible to do without making a lot of noise. " Ok everyone start looking and try to be as quiet as you can. If the neighbors figure out what is happening things might get really ugly. We need to be out of this house soon as I doubt the front door being kicked in will look normal for long. The last thing we need is a uninvited guest spoiling our party." Tyler then started to look through the messy room with the restnof his Pokemon praying the crate would turn up aoon before all hell could break loose.



OOC: Searching the attic.

Tyler and his motley team had been fervently searching the attic of the renowned Mr. Dig's home for a crate full of technical machines, their specific goal was to locate the technical machine that contained the move Dig, a move that Mr. Dig himself had discovered. The Dig family pokemon, Dugtrio had been sleeping peacefully in the attic away from any noise, that was until Tyler and his gang of pokemon had arrived in the attic and caused quite the racket as they turned the already messy room into an absolute pigsty.

At first Dugtrio was stunned at the fact that some stranger and his band of pokemon had decided to break into his home, that sense of shock soon disappeared as the mole pokemon had realised that if this young looking male was downstairs searching the attic of all places, what exactly had happened to his owners? In a blinding rage the Dig family's Dugtrio emerged from the corner of the attic and into the dim lighting of the room, had it have been thinking clearly it possibly could have attempted a sneak attack on the human and his team of pokemon, it's pent up aggression however had clearly taken over. Dugtrio set his sights firmly on the male human and was going to make him pay for whatever he did to his owners, after all the mole pokemon was supposed to be the protector of the home, he had simply been caught off guard on this day.

Dugtrio (level 20) has noticed Tyler's misdeeds and is determined to stop him in his tracks!
Looks like Tyler will have to defeat Dugtrio to continue his search, who will he choose to fight?

As Tyler searched high and low for the crate he was so busy that he did not notice the approaching Dugtrio until it was almost in striking range. As awkward as it was for him to be caught off guard however the ground type had done him a favor of getting in close as it maximized the effectiveness of most of his Pokemon. Out of all of his Pokemon Senorita Ramirez was the one who wanted to battle the mole the most as she could take advantage of her type to cancel out any ground type attack the Dugtrio might try to use against her. She was also really fast as well and wanted to see if she could outpace the ground type Pokemon.

" So I guess this little pest is the house guardian? Whatever it is doing here it will not be in our way much longer as we are too close to our goal to let some house pet stop us. Do whatever you wish to this Dugtrio Senorita Ramirez so long as it does not get in our way again."  As the luchador bird nodded she wanted to show off every ounce of her power in a single move and had a great idea how to do that. The attic was not big by any means but all of the junk made wonderful platforms to perform acrobatic maneuvers until she could strike with all her might. She leaped onto a pile of boxes and then leaped onto another pile of junk trying to find the right angle for her attack.

From the second pile she could see Dugtrio quite clearly and saw the right moment to strike as it looked up at her while Tyler noticed she had still not dealt with the problem yet and he screamed at her to get this pest under control. " ARE YOU STUPID OR JUST LAZY, TAKE OUT THAT PEST NOW WITH YOUR ACROBATICS ATTACK OR I WILL HAVE YOU DEEP FRIED AND SERVED ON A GOLD PLATTER." His rude and heartless remark made it quite clear that he was not going to put up with any delay as Senorita Ramirez leaped up finally making her move.  As she did Mania chuckled under her breath that someone else besides her was getting an earful from Tyler. The more others got blamed for things instead of her the happier she would be as the rest of Tyler's Pokemon continued to look for the crate.

As the luchador bird bounded around the attic, hopping and gliding from box to box, the Dugtrio sized up its opponent and prepared to attack. The cramped space made it a little easier for the mole Pokemon to aim as its three heads spun around and aligned themselves to form a perfect triangle with its pink noses. A triangular shaped field of energy formed and a ball of fire, electricity and ice was shot simultaneously from each of its heads towards the Hawlucha. Seniorita Ramirez tried frantically to dodge the attack but Tri Attack pre-empted her movements like a homing missile.

Knocked back by the force of the attack, the Hawlucha nonetheless gathered herself, spurred on by the harsh threats of her master. She climbed nimbly onto an old wardrobe giving her the high ground and launched herself off the platform to strike Dugtrio with the powerful attack. The force of the attack was overwhelming for the poor defenses of the mole Pokemon, who fainted leaving the stash of TMs unguarded.

As Senorita Ramirez dealt the single blow on Dugtrio knocking it out cold Tyler and the rest of his Pokemon kept searching for the crate they were after. After a few more moments of searching Tyler finally found the crate he was after and scooped it up off the ground. " Finally I found it, this crate right here will be worth it's weight in gold. Now that we have it secured we just need to get out of here before the police show up and make this whole situation get out of hand." After leaving the attic Tyler made his way back downstairs and got ready to leave when he suddenly stopped in his tracks thinking he heard something.

" I do not think we are alone anymore, we might just have to fight our way out of here afterall. That is just great, we were doing so well too but I guess given the situation things could be worse but if someone is here it will really slow us down." As he thought of how to escape without getting noticed he remembered kicking in the door and figured trying to sneak out was a no go and trying to talk his way out of trouble would backfire as he had no ID and with the crate of dig TM's in his hand he looked about as guilty as one could and had few other optionsother than to battle whoever was here so he could make his getaway.

Instead of playing cat and mouse with the unknown visitor Tyler went to look for whoever it was when he saw the beam of a flashlight coming from the living room. This gave him the edge of knowing where the intruder was but as he did not want to harm the dig maniac by mistake he called out to see who was there. " Who is out there? You have one chance to leave now unharmed or things will get quite ugly for you. I do not need any pests wandering about on my time. I will not hesitate to hunt you down if you try and be a hero." After provoking whoever had entered the house Tyler pointed at Blitz so it would be ready for battle if the intruder did not back off.

Blitz did not know what to expect but it was ready for a fight nonetheless as it started to twirl its magnets to build up electricity. If the intruder wanted a fighr it would happily oblige with a nice shock the second it could strike.





OOC: No problem Professor Oak, Waiting on the police encounter.

Officer Dean was rolling through the foggy streets of Cherrygrove City in his patrol vehicle when a crackling could be heard over the radio. Over the top of the static came the dull drone of a female voice. "Dispatch, unit 13, what's your position? Over."

"This is unit 13, I'm passing through main street.. uh.. five blocks out from Town Hall. Over," responded the police officer.

"Unit 13, we've got a domestic disturbance over at the Dig residence, need an officer to investigate now. Over."

"Officer inbound," the constable confirmed over the radio and switched on his siren. There had been several incidents over at the Dig residence in the past week. The couple had only just moved in but had apparently caused a lot of trouble around the neighborhood already. The cases he knew of included complaints from neighbours that their walls had started to crack, presumably due to something digging below the foundations of their house. Investigations revealed that the family owned a pet Dugtrio that was the likely culprit but given the exotic species was registered on the database of Pokemon taught Technical Machines, the current laws made it powerless to intervene.

Arriving on site, Officer Dean jumped out of the patrol car and sent out his Pikachu, Spark to accompany him. Loud bangs and the sound of breaking glass could be heard emanating from the attic. The front door could be seen lying in the hallway, blown off its hinges and all around there were obvious signs of a break in.

"This is Officer Dean, we've got clear signs of a break in. Requesting back up. Over."

"Copy that, units inbound."

The police officer moved slowly through the hallway and into the living room careful not to step on the glass and other hazards lying around. The power looked like it had been cut as well so he was forced to use his flashlight to see ahead of him.
" Who is out there? You have one chance to leave now unharmed or things will get quite ugly for you. I do not need any pests wandering about on my time. I will not hesitate to hunt you down if you try and be a hero." The threatening voice of a teenager could be heard coming down the stairs. A levitating magnet eventually came into view.

"Halt, this is the police! You are trespassing on private property!" the officer spoke bravely but knew that he was outmatched. His only hope would be to stall as long as possible before back up arrived.

Policeman Dean is here to arrest you!

Hearing a police officer respond to his question both annoyed Tyler as he was hoping for a quick getaway and at the same time filled him with joy as it added another cop he could bribe with his life after he got finished with him. " Oh I am sorry, I thought this was a frat house open to the public since the front door was knocked down and all. Still since I don't see your badge out and by the look on your face you seem like a fraud to me. I tell you what, if you run off back to mom and pop I won't have SHocker here turn your Pikachu into worm food." Having little doubt that the officer would stick around no matter what he said Tyler was ready to make his move.

Without saying another word Tyler looked at Blitz who floated towards the officer while shooting off a few sparks trying to get the officer to run off without a battle. If he truly was a police officer running would get him in a lot of trouble and Tyler was quite aware of that but as he still had no proof the guy was legit he was not going to take any chances. " Since you are still here I guess you are as dumb as that officer I had to beat to a pulp back in New Bark Town. That poor guy probably swam off to the Hoenn region after meeting me but since you do not seem to recognize me I guess he kept his word."

Tyler knew one way or the other he was going to have to force the man out of his way so he could make a getaway and as the man was not running off through words alone Tyler knew force was his only option left. " I doubt you will be as smart as that cop but maybe after I put your Pokemon six feet under you will change your ways. Blitz use Thundershock on that Pikachu so our new friend here will reconsider my offer." Blitz then fired off a small jolt of electricity at the Pikachu as Senorita Ramirez looked around making sure no one else was trying to sneak up on them. This battle was going to get quite loud and break any stealthy escape they would have and she wanted to make sure Tyler would be home free as soon as the battle ended.

While she was busy with that Hollenhund and Mania stood behind Tyler and watched the officer hoping their mere appearence would get him to back off before Tyler lost what little pity he had for the man.

Policeman Dan was astounded by how rude and obnoxious the criminal across from him was, the situation was escalating rather rapidly. Upon realising that the criminal was not going to leave in peace, Dan realised that lethal action may be required to stop the situation from escalating further. Having realised that he had accidentally left his gun in the patrol car Dan realised that he would have to have his pokemon partners assist him in arresting the criminal.

"Your time is up criminal, now that you won't come easily I'm going to have to arrest you!"

Policeman Dan was wise to the fact the criminal was not going to budge whatsoever. Spark the Pikachu moved in front of Dan in preparation for battle, it seemed though that Tyler and his partner Blitz were aware that back-up officers were on their way and that he would have to end this situation as quickly as possible. Tyler's Magnemite launched a jolt of electricity in the form of its Thundershock attack towards Spark the Pikachu. Normally the attack wouldn't have so much effectiveness against another electric type like Pikachu, however the experience gap between the two battling pokemon was abundantly apparent.

"My back-up will be here shortly, you're world is about to come crumbling down very soon young man! Spark, hit that criminal's pokemon with a Thundershock attack!"

Much like Tyler's Magnemite had done, Policeman Dan's Spark the Pikachu launched a jolt of electricity that connected with the magnet pokemon, it was evident however that Blitz had taken considerably less damage from Spark's attack, this battle was clearly not in the favour of the young policeman, he could only hope his back-up officers would arrive on the scene before Tyler and his crew of bandits were able to complete whatever their mission was.

As annoyed at Tyler was that the officer would not step aside he thought it was amusing that the officer thought there was any hope of stopping him. Tyler knew he had to escape before backup could arrive as numbers might be able to bring him in but one on one he could toy with this officer all day and not need to worry with how little damage his Pikachu was able to cause. " Please tell me you are joking, your Pikachu can hardly scratch my Pokemon and you think you can last long enough for your doughnut obsessed pals to come and help?" He snarled before looking at Blitz.

The Magnemite did not bring down the Pikachu in the first hit but clearly it was the more powerful Pokemon and Tyler was going to make the officer regret getting innhis way." Such a waste of a Pikachu working alongside such a fool. If it had a trainer like me it might be able to avoid such an embarrassing display but I won't let it suffer for much longer unlike yourself, Blitz be ready to finish that rat off." Blitz had already started to build up a Thundershock attack before Tyler even finished mocking the mouse Pokemon but Tyler still wanted to end the battle quickly.

[color,=limegreen]" Use Thundershock on that Pikachu one more time so it will not have to be in anymore pain for a while."[/color] After issuing the order Tyler was about to sit back and relax when the thought of the officer possibly having a backup Pokemon crossed his mind. As he did not want to waste time he decided to double up Blitz's efforts just in case. " Just in case the second Thundershock does not knock out Pikachu hit it with a third one. If it goes down use Thundershock on whatever Pokemon he tries to send out next."

Now that he had covered his bases Tyler just hoped this combo would bring about an end to the battle so he could make a break for it. He knew the combo would light up the whole neighborhood and likely send a swarm of officers to investigate. If things worked the way he was hoping by the time they got there all they would find would be the defeated officer and the mess he would leave behind. As Blitz sent out the attack Senorita Ramirez started to grow impatient knowing that backup would get there soon and she did not know how long she could hold them off if Tyler's plan backfired.




OOC: Using Thundershock on Pikachu and if it does not KO it using it again. If it gets KO'ed the second Thundershock will be used on Growlithe. Running shoes will be unavailable for the rest of this battle afterwards.

Dan was livid with how he was being spoken to, this criminal that he was faced up against was truly on a different level of disrespect. It was clear in the way that Tyler was acting with his crew of pokemon that he was in a rush to escape the scene of the crime, Policeman Dan was aware after the first round of attacks that the skill gap between his own pokemon and the opponent's was large, for now all he could try to do was stall the battle out and hope back-up would arrive soon to ensure that justice was served against this young man.

"Young man, you will be behind bars for a long time to come if you don't submit peacefully, I suggest you give that some thought!"

The dig household became a beacon of light as Tyler's Blitz unleashed a powerful thundershock attack on Sparky, Dan's Pikachu. The young and inexperienced yellow mouse pokemon didn't stand a chance, the battle was inherently one-sided at this point. Dan was becoming nervous at this point as he attempted to drain out the noise that Tyler continued to make towards him. Policeman Dan returned his fainted Pikachu into it's pokeball to rest and then proceeded to retrieve another pokeball and released the pokemon from inside. Emerging from the beaming red light was Flare the Growlithe, Dan's strongest and most loyal pokemon.

"Flare, let's bring this criminal to justice with a Bite attack!"

Flare heard his trainers command and begun to run towards Tyler's Magnemite, the skill gap between the two battling pokemon was evident as Blitz unleashed another powerful thundershock attack that made a direct connection with the puppy pokemon, this electric type attack appeared to be more powerful than the previous two and resulted in Dan's Growlithe collapsing to the ground, well and truly fainted at this point. Dan could only gaze upon the scene with a look of horror fixated upon his face, Dan rushed over to where his fainted Growlithe lye and spoke into his walkie talkie,

"Requesting urgent back-up at the Dig household on the corner of 34th, you must hurry before this criminal tries to escape!"

As both of the officers remaining Pokemon fell before Blitz Tyler started to laugh as the officers pitiful attempts to stop him fell flat on his face. " Oh what is this? Our cop friend must be out of Pokemon to try and beg for help from his buddies like that. I could have Mania rip you to shreds right now but as I doubt you will ever forget my face or dare challenge me again I am going to let you go. Before I do however I am afraid you must be punished for your stupidity. Mania use Dark Pulse on this idiot and make him suffer. When he wakes up he will never dare face Team Rocket again." After Mania scored a direct hit leaving the cop out cold Tyler knew the radio had to be the next thing he took care of.

Without even saying a word he pick it up from the unconscious cop and tossed it in the air as Mania used her Night Slash to tear it to shreds. Now that the cop was out of the way and his radio was in a million pieces he set his attention on making a getaway. The backup the cop called for would not take much longer to arrive as the cap made the situation sound quite bad and Tyler did not want to deal with anymore of the pests. He ran out the front door with the crate in his hands as his Pokemon followed as they made their way to the outskirts of Cherrygrove City. Once they made it to the very edge of town Tyler walked up to a pay phone and dialed the number he was given to signal the completion of his mission and to get a ride back to headquarters.

As someone picked up the phone on the other end of the line Tyler used the codes provided to keep everything as secret as he could given the situation. " Mother Goose One this is Mobius, mission accomplished, requesting extract to headquarters." The person on the other end hung up without saying a word and about 5 minutes later a helicopter flew towards his position and landed nearby. He climbed aboard as he recalled all of his Pokemon and rode the helicopter back to base. Once they arrived he made his way into the headquarters and rode the elevator to the top floor. He placed the crate on the receptionists desk and waited for his reward.

A grunt approached the crate and carried all but one of the TM's into the admins office leaving the spare TM for Tyler as one of his rewards. With his job complete Tyler hoped he would get a promotion after his next mission.
