Martin Growth GardenerMartin looked at the area outside Violet with a frown on his face. He didn't know if the flood that had hit would be a problem or not. Either way he felt heavy from his night escapade, and was only really scouting the area before having to travel it for real in a couple of days. It was earlier in the day than Martin had anticipated. He hadn't slept well even though it had gotten late, and he had decided to walk it off at the first sign of light in the morning. A quick breakfast and a rotating on the Pokemon team later found him surveying the water clogged area on route 32. He decided his boots would serve him well at least, and began a casual slender on the given path. He ran one of the minimised Pokeballs between his fingers, while he wondered how it would take to him. As he had already decided the cats, apart from Thief, wouldn't be a regular show in his gardener work, his change this morning had amounted to a random picking of gardener Pokemon, two of them new to him. He had kept Kiwi on with the hope of giving the bird a broader experience than the night activities, and not feeling up to a whole lot, he had only picked out three others: A Snover he had bought a while back, a Fomantis from the Alolan festival, and then the Gulpin Oddend. He hadn't had the time to familiarise himself with the Snover and Fomantis yet, and he would admit to being slightly worried about the prospect. He had been told the Snover was timid around humans and Pokemon both, and he had only really bought it because it was reasonable cheap, and its half grass/ice typing was interesting. He was sure he could find use for it somehow, but for now he would let it stay in its ball, and instead begin with the Fomantis. There was a lot of Pokemon from the Alolan islands he didn't know, but he was pretty sure he had managed to gather info on most of the new grass types. What he had read about Fomantis for example, said that they slept in sunlight. Probably not the best timing to get to know it then, but it would get more out of being outside the ball, and Martin didn't mind letting it sleep on his head, so long it wasn't too heavy. "Out you get," he said more to himself, and opened the Pokeball. Not a second later the small green and pink flower creature stood swaying at his feet, and Martin studied it several long moments. Other than the swaying it didn't move at all, and Martin considered if it was even home in there, but then he moved an inch and saw the pink eyes follow the movement. He squinted, and testing moved the other way. The eyes followed. Martin took one step back and squatted down with the pokedex in front of him. He kept one eye on the grass type, while he read what the Pokedex had to offer once more, and then did a search on look-a-like plants. Its evolution reminded him of some orchids and after a bit of searching he found something fitting, a marsh helleborine. "E-pi-pac-tis pa-lus-tris" he sounded out carefully, eyeing the Fomantis the whole time. It didn't respond to his voice, but it still followed every movement, so he went on saying. "That's a marsh helleborine, the plant I'm naming you after. I'll shorten it to Palus. It says here you're a male." No response, but Martin had half expected that by now. He pocketed the dex again and held out his hands in invitation. "The morning has just begun. If you wish to sleep, I can carry you. I'll make sure to keep you in the sun." A long moment passed with none of them moving, but Martin was patient, and in the end the Fomantis swayed in small steps into his hands and closed its eyes. Martin lifted it cautiously, then felt insecure about where to put it. He would want to keep his hands free. With a sigh he settled it on top of his hat. It was a rather small thing yet. Then he went on to explore what the first part of the route had to offer. Wordcount: 731 (Ooc: Removing Thief(Purrloin), Azrael(Litten), and Skarn(Litleo), and replacing them with the Snover Shiver, the Gulpin Oddend, and the newly named Fomantis. Spring truly was the best time to be a bug pokemon. Hovering from flower to flower, there was plenty of sweet sweet nectar to be had. That's what most bugs thought anyway. Any other bug knew there were plenty of flowers to go around, but not this young Pokemon. The small ladybird pokemon had decided to claim a small patch of flowers for its own, zipping from flower to flower. It didn't understand what the others did, after all it was still too young. Zip, Zip, Zip, no one really stood in its way.
After all, ever since its mother was captured by a trainer, it needed to eat somehow. So it greedily sucked the nectar from its flowers, and was never told otherwise by other big Pokemon, or trainers. Happily in its own world, the flowers, the flowers were its family now. It had just settled down for a nap when it saw the most outrageous thing. A trainer, but that wasn't the problem. What was sitting on top of it was! It didn't know for sure, but it was pretty sure it was a bug pokemon.
Near its flowes? Oh no.
Ledyba zipped into the air, stopping in front of the trainer in an angry yammer. This was its territory, its flowers, and no one would take that away from it, not like they had its mother! Wild Ledyba (Level 9) is upset that you've brought another bug type (or so it thinks) near its precious flowers! Will you send a Pokemon to fight or flee?

Martin Growth GardenerMartin almost began relaxing after a bit of walking. Despite the water gathered in puddles around the area, the weather was nice and he drew in the fresh air with a sense of enjoyment. Martin rarely just enjoyed a thing, but it was hard to do anything else on this tranquil day. That is until he neared a bed of flowers by the road. He didn't pay attention to the bug in them. It was just a Ledyba and didn't matter, but the flowers themselves were interesting and he walked closer to inspect them. He hadn't expected the Ledyba to confront him in any way. The Ledybas outside of Lumiose in Kalos had never minded, when he had visited their flower fields. This one flew straight to his face, and Martin flinched back in surprise. The sudden move rocked his hat, and the Fomantis tumbled down. For the first time he heard the plant's 'voice' and it had an odd thrill to it, like two blades of grass rubbed together. He caught it in his hands by pure reflex, and its small pointy 'arms' pricked against his flesh as it steadied itself from the fall. It was at that point Martin noticed the Ledyba was focused on Palus and not actually himself. Martin squinted his eyes in annoyance and thought. He pulled the Fomantis away from the angry Ledyba, and grabbed for the first pokeball available. Normally, his grass types wasn't really made for dealing with bugs and flying types, but that Snover... Martin had no longer any reservations about letting the unknown factor out to deal with his new annoyance. "Get off it, bug. Palus is no threat to you. This one is." He growled and let the Snover out while stepping back to make room. The small fir tree materialised and as it shook its body a wind seemed to rise around it, sending a flurry of snow and hail moving in the air. Martin set his cap straight to protect his eyes better, and put an arm around the Fomantis to shield it from the cold. He didn't even notice how it peeked out to watch the two other Pokemon. "Shiver!" Martin remembered Snover's name and called out to it. "Blow that Ledyba away with your Icy Wind." He demanded, hoping to catch it off guard and ready to obey without fuss. ___ Shiver was confused. She had been with Amalia, and now she was here. The air felt the same, probably still Violet, but the season was different. Momentarily, Shiver wondered how much time had passed. The voice using her name wasn't Amalia's. Sounded like a man rather, and she glanced back to get a look at him. Definitely not Amalia. For one, the hair wasn't red, and this one was taller. She couldn't quite make out the eyes in the shade of that hat, but he didn't look very friendly. Had she done something to make him angry? Something battered against her body and Shiver was forced to divert her attention from the human. A Ledyba? Shiver jumped and unintentionally did just what Martin had wanted of her. She took in air and forced it out again in a great, freezing push, wanting to get the other Pokemon away from her. It was way too close for her liking and hadn't introduced itself. Wordcount: 558 (Ooc: Palus first, but immediately changed with Shiver who uses Icy Wind)

As Palus was protected by his trainer, the wild Ledyba gave out an upset huff towards this human. What kind of human would go to great lengths to protect a Pokemon that was coming near its flowers in this beautiful spring weather?! The Ledyba wasn't amused when this human told it to leave the poor Fomantis alone, but it wasn't expecting the same human to send out his Snover to attack it. The chilling winds were enough to knock it out of the air and onto the ground and it fainted immediately from the attack. Well, this was certainly an easy battle for Shiver, never mind that the wild ladybug Pokemon was simply trying to protect its territory and enjoying a nice day with the flowers. As the wild ladybug Pokemon lay down on the grass in a unconscious heap, the battle with it was over as soon as it began. Shiver grew to level 16 and gained 1 happiness!

Martin Growth GardenerAs Shiver did as told, Martin gave a nod of satisfaction and put Palus back onto his hat. He felt the Fomantis move around a bit but it soon settled, and Martin took a look at his hands. Small red pricks were visible on the skin, and some of them even bled a little, but apart from the first sting it didn't hurt anymore, and Martin deemed them healthy enough. That would teach him to always remember his gloves, even when he wasn't meant to work. For now he would have to make do without. Next, he estimated the result of Shiver's work. The hail and freezing wind from her presence was doing a number on the flowers, and with a wince Martin recalled her. "Fine work, but you're killing the flowers." Martin said at the same time. He put her Pokeball back in place and squatted down to have a closer look at the damage to the flowers. He hoped it was the sort of spring flowers that was used to the occasional cold in the transition from winter to spring. Luckily, they looked quite hardy despite the onslaught, and Martin began a closer inspection of each different one as he had original intended before the Ledyba's interruption. ___ Shiver hadn't even managed to calm down from the near proximity of the Ledyba before this new trainer called her back in. She almost didn't catch his afterwords and had a hard time deciding from the tone if he was actually pleased with her or not. She didn't know what to make of him and that made her uneasy. ___ Satisfied with his perusal of the flower bed at last Martin got back up and looked around once more to find more of interest in the area. Maybe he could even find a nice training project for his Pokemon out here. Especially his newer ones would benefit from a nicely overgrown area of plant wilderness like Dros and Juun had in their first days with him. Martin continued down the road with an eye on every tree, bush, or plant he passed, trying to pick out which he knew and which he would have to look up. It was important for Martin to seem knowledgeable in his chosen area of expertise, even to or maybe more so with the Pokemon he had chosen as his tools. They would never know the preparation he put in to their 'lesson plans'. Wordcount: 409 (Ooc: I send Palus in first, so he should have gotten a lvl for participating, and Kiwi is still holding the exp share, so he should too, making Palus lvl 9 and Kiwi lvl 7. Waiting for new encounter.)

The flooding along route 32 had been a very good piece of news for the water types living there as it not only weakened fire type moves but it also made for a nice playground for the younger ones. Once such water type had been sliding in a series of puddles having a great time with a few of its friends not looking for any trouble at all when the rest of them scurried away upon hearing footsteps off in the distance. The muddy ground made it hard to sneaky up on Pokemon but as this one was not originally from the Johto region nor was it very fast it was not sure how it could react as it saw Martin approaching from a distance. The pink and white Pokemon started to panic at the sight of a trainer as it had been in a few nasty battles before and the last thing it wanted was to get into another one on such a nice day. As it squirmed along at a blazing speed enough to give a Metapod a run for its money Martin quickly caught up and Shellos realized that there was no hope in trying to run from him at this point. All hope was not lost as the weather was in its favor but the better option it had was no longer a choice. Fearing the worst Shellos turned to face the young trainer and started to cry hoping he might show it some pity for being so young. Whether or not the thief would show it any pity had yet to be seen but the young water type would try and defend itself if the worst came to pass. A Shellos (Level 8) is hoping for a sign of mercy, how will Martin proceed.

Martin Growth GardenerThe slug-like Pokemon that showed up in Martin's further investigation only got a vaguely curious glance. He didn't know this Pokemon and only let the pokedex tell him, so he would know for later. It was pure coincidence that the thing opted to 'run away' in the same direction Martin was walking, and he had almost forgot about the thing, when it faced him with a sickly weak expression on its face. Somehow it reminded him of a covering Bunnelby shaking with fear, and Martin huffed. He was just about ready to ignore it completely and walk past, when Palus surprised him by jumping down and landing softly on the spot in front of the Shellos. The Fomantis rubbed its bladed hands together, emitting almost the same sound as when it was falling before. However, this time there was a kind of cutting edge to it. Martin looked between the two with a raised brow. "You really want to fight the thing?" he asked rhetorically, and then the Fomantis nodded eagerly without turning its head from the opponent Martin shrugged. "Fine. Do as you like. Leafage will hit the hardest." He offered his single advice, remembering what he had just skimmed about the Shellos from the Pokedex. He sounded completely uncaring, but actually he was interested in seeing Palus in action. He knew practically nothing about the plant. Wordcount: 228 (Ooc: Palus used Leafage)

The helpless little Shellos was filled with fear as Palus signaled his desire to battle the slug. Shellos was overcome with fear as the grass type Pokemon received permission from its trainer to battle knowing very little about what its new foe was capable of and to make matters worse having no idea which move would be the most useful to use against it. This combination of unknowns led to the inevitable conclusion that it had quite a disadvantage in this battle. As if things were not bad enough all ready Palus was faster than the slug and he wasted no time in starting his attack to make sure Shellos could not escape somehow. Within seconds Palus was surrounded by a swarm of leaves that he had summoned from nearby trees to use against the water type Pokemon and as soon as his target was properly aligned he fired off the leaves at Shellos causing quite a lot of damage though the slug was tougher than it originally appeared as it was still able to battle despite the painful attack it had just suffered through. As Shellos realized that Palus had to use physical energy to attack primarily it started to scoop up as much mud in its mouth as possible before dumping the stick substance all over its back to increase its defenses. The creative use of Harden gave Shellos increased defenses but it did nothing to recover from the damage it had already taken. After just a single round Shellos was not looking very well but its boosted defenses gave it an ever so slightly better chance of at least hanging on another round if nothing else. Whether or not that would be of any use in trying to fend off Martin and his Pokemon was unclear but things were not looking great for the little slug. Wild Battle Weather: Flooding (Water Sport in Effect) Shellos | Level 8 | HP: 43% (14/32) Status: Normal, Defense +1 Used Harden! VS
Palus | Level 9 | Leaf Guard | Amulet Coin HP: 100% (28/28) Status: Normal Used Leafage!

Martin Growth GardenerMartin was far from impressed with the Shellos' behaviour. It had no business being so frightened from a mere battle, when that was to be expected from life. You sucked it up and dealt with it, or you perished. He almost wondered how it had survived so far, when it turned out to have endured Palus' attack rather well. Martin crooked his head just an inch. Palus was making his sound again, and Martin connected it with the Fomantis preparing for another attack. "Hold it just a moment, Palus." Martin held up a hand in a stopping motion. Palus froze in place, even the sound cutting short with a nasty whine. A smile crawled onto Martin's face; not a nice one; his eyes held no warmth. "I'm sorry to say you're hitting too hard, Palus. The slug obviously wants to stay conscious for as long as possibly." He hadn't missed how it had hardened itself, a rather clever use of its surroundings if he was being honest, but that was its only redeeming factor. "I think I'll let Oddend deal with the rest." He decided and pulled out the Gulpin's Pokeball. Palus didn't argue. He just hopped back and climbed his way back to Martin's hat and the sunlight. Martin was pleased with how well-behaved the Fomantis was. A glimpse of red light later Oddend stood in Palus' place and wobbled on the spot. "There, Oddend. Hit the Shellos with your Pound. Slap it around a little." It was pure curiosity from Martin's side. He wanted to see how long the Shellos could hold out under an even pressure, and the slug deserved nothing else. Oddend's pound should be predictable enough for it. Palus was still a too unknown factor for it, or he might have just told the Fomantis to use Fury Cutter instead of Leafage. The only miscalculation Martin hadn't thought about was Oddend himself. The Gulpin looked at the Shellos once, and instead of doing as told yawned widely. Wordcount: 332 (Ooc: Oddend changes in and uses Yawn)

Thinking that it was going to be the victim of another leafage attack Shellos was stunned as Martin made his Pokemon stop before it could attack. Seeing him switch Pokemon left the slug with a tiny bit of hope that it could still somehow snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat with the small reprieve it had been given. It was still in quite a bit of pain from the first attack but Shellos was going to try and stop any other attacks from scoring a hit as it remembered it had yet another trick up its sleeve. The current weather was a bit help as there was plenty of mud it could use against the young Gulpin now across from it. The free turn it got from Martin switching Pokemon was a very nice gift and as Shellos scooped up more mud with its mouth it at first appeared that it was going to try another Harden to boost its defenses but this time the slug had a nasty surprise for Oddend as it spit the mud right into the poison types face. The slimy mud ran down his face and got into his eyes reducing his accuracy while also causing a small amount of damage. Not enough to worry about for the time being but Shellos had done a great job of making use of its one free turn. Even with its free attack Shellos was still in far worse shape than Oddend even with his reduced accuracy. With no more freebies on the horizon for the slug it knew it had to start doing more damage than it had in order to have any chance of winning but Oddend finally managed to strike back as he let out a loud Yawn. Shellos started to get drowsy as a result but the slug was determined to keep fighting as it fired off a Water Pulse while struggling to keep its eyes open. Shellos would certainly fall asleep after its next attack as the yawn would take effect soon. As bravely as Shellos was trying to fight back things were not looking good for it. Wild Battle Weather: Flooding (Water Sport in Effect) Shellos | Level 8 | HP: 43% (14/32) Status: Normal, Defense +1, Drowsy ( Will fall asleep at end of the next turn) Used Mud SLap, Water Pulse! VS
Oddend | Level 12 | Leaf Guard | Black Sludge HP: 73% (31/42) Status: Normal, Accuracy -1 Palus swapped out for Oddend, Used Yawn!

Martin Growth GardenerMartin froze momentarily when Oddend disregarded his order with such obvious contempt. He grit his teeth, feeling anger build in the pit of his stomach, and took a very slow breath to contain his knee-jerk want of exploding in rage. "Oddend," he voiced in chilly warning "I told you to use Pound." Even if Oddend couldn't see it with him facing the Shellos instead of Martin, Martin's eyes stared at the Gulpin with dark fury. Somewhere he remembered that the Gulpin hadn't obeyed him last time either, and he was thinking furiously on how to make it do it, if it disobeyed this time too. No Pokemon of Martin's should ever believe they could do anything without his explicit permission. ~~ Oddend purposefully refused to listen to Martin's word. He didn't even hear the change in tone, and if he had he certainly didn't understand the significance. He had never had a trainer before, and humans spouted nonsense all the time. They had certainly never been nice to him, so why should he do anything this human said. He had to defend himself however, and that Shellos was dousing him in attack after attack, so Oddend set himself more steadily on the ground and meditated on all the things that wasn't. No trainer, no attacker, nothing at all. He didn't need his sight for this, and no matter what the other Pokemon did, he wasn't going to pound anything for Martin. ~~ Martin watched Oddend still his motions, and for just a heart beat he thought it was getting ready to attack. When nothing happened whatsoever Martin squashed down a yell of fury and only a trembling huff escaped him. The Gulpin had allowed the Shellos to attack him uncontested two times now, and Martin wouldn't let it continue. It was setting a bad example. Still fuming and blank on ideas for the time being he pulled out an empty Pokeball and threw it at the Shellos. He grasped for words able to convey just how angry he was at the Gulpin. He took another slow breath, modelling the anger into a hard, cold ball of fury and then left it to simmer. He wasn't thinking clearly right now, and he wanted to be at his clearest when he confronted the Gulpin about its disobedience. Instead he held his tongue and waited blankly for the result of throwing the Pokeball. That was another thing to be angry about. He had wasted a Pokeball on it. Wordcount: 413 (Ooc: Oddend uses Amnesia. Martin throws a Pokeball)

Shellos was too scared to notice the lack of usual team work between the trainer and their pokemon. It had more than enough on its plate just trying to stay awake! The water type didn't understand a single word of what Martin said, but it did had no problem understanding that he was angry, and that it did not like him! Not at all. The question was what it could do to get away from this scary situation? It shook its head one more time to try clear it, it made no sense that it should be drowsy now. Fear flared up inside Shellos once again, perhaps it was something the human or the green blob had done? What would happen if it fell asleep? What would they do to it? As Oddend did... nothing? Or so it seemed to Shellos, it decided to strengthen itself with another Harden. It hopefully could help it continue for a bit longer as it became harder and harder to think clearly but it still needed to find a way to get out of this. the grass slowly became taller around it, perhaps it could just hide in the grass? The mud puddle it was in was nice and cool, it could almost forget that it was in a battle and scared to death. It blinked slowly as a round red and white thing became visible in the air. Shellos thought that was a strange sun, or perhaps it was a pokemon? It never found out as the pokeball hit it and sucked it in. the pokeball gave the confirmation of capture even before it hit the ground and got splashed with mud. Hopefully Martin didn't expected this one to stay clean and shiny as that was too late now. Oddend learns something from not doing as told and gets +2 levels (grows to level 14) He also gains +1 happiness, so he must have thought it was really fun as well. Palus has a good view from Martin's head and gets 1 level (grows to level 10) He learns Razor Leaf! He is enjoying the sun so he also gains +1 happiness Through mysterious means (Exp-share) Kiwi also gains a level even though he hasn't seen what has been going on. He is now level 8! Martin caught the shellos! He must be so thrilled about this addition to his team! Martin Growth GardenerThe Pokeball dropped to the ground and didn't even rock like usual. Martin wasn't sure he had even heard the click, and felt the simmering rage go up another notch. The Pokeball had worked just fine. It was that weakling of a Shellos that hadn't had the guts to fight for its freedom Martin told himself, though he knew perfectly well it must have been half asleep from Oddend's yawn before. It was why he had taken the Gulpin with him to begin with. His yawn would be useful if he happened upon a good grass type, but it would be of no use to him, if the dratted creature refused to do as told. Martin called the Gulpin back with the barest of commands, and allowed himself a sigh, when it was safely secured. Palus made a noise from his cap. The wind was picking up and making it harder for the small grass type to stay seated. "I'll make him regret it." Martin promised darkly, and went to pick up the dirty Pokeball on the ground. He dried the worst of the dirt off with the edge of his sleeve, and then pocketed the thing. He would have to sell it, and hopefully get a good price for it as compensation. As Martin continued his exploration of the route he fought to keep his cap on the head and ended up picking Palus down from it, so he didn't have to worry about squashing it under his hands if he did something unthinking. He placed the Fomantis on his left shoulder instead, and though it was closer to his face than he usually liked things, it did provide a distraction from his earlier 'annoyance'. With how the wind was blowing about Martin was reminded of the bird he also kept, and thinking it would benefit from practising flight in the wind gusts let him out. "Fly around in the area, Kiwi, but keep us in eye sight. Let me know if you see any Pokemon close by." He told the Fletchling, and it flew off with a happy chirp navigating the winds surprisingly well for spending so long in a Pokeball. Must have been some instinct of birds. Palus made clicking noises like he was trying to imitate the bird's chirping, and Martin glanced at it out the corner of his eyes. "You might get to work with Kiwi in a little while, but watch out for his flames. The fire he will grow to harness can hurt you badly." Martin adviced it. The more he let himself be distracted by these minor things the more his thoughts returned to how to deal with Oddend. He had to find its weak spot. Something that would make it obey without question. Wordcount: 462 (Ooc: boxing Shellos. Looking for new encounter.)

The area around Violet was always idyllic in spring with all the flowers blooming and no gusty wind could change that. The flowers waved back and forth, and since they were healthy and strong they had no trouble keeping upright and endure the wind. The trees and bushes had just begun to open their leaves and it was light green everywhere, except for the white paper that was stuck between some flowers and flapped as the wind attempted to pull it free. A bit further ahead a small piece of plastic was dancing over the grass and a bush were showing off several colorful strings waving enthusiastically in the wind. Suddenly a ledyba burst our from between some bushes and disturbed the colorful area. It was panicking as a plasticbag was stuck to it and it couldn't get it off, it had one of the handles around its head and it looked like it had investigated it and then panicked when the bag kept following it afterwards. It buzzed around frantically and then came above the treetops where a sudden gust of wind gave the bag a mighty tuck, snapping the handle and freeing the ledyba who darted off. The bag whirled aimlessly around in the air. A frustrated wail was then heard from the bush where the ladyba had come from, and if Martin went to explore he would find a heap of trash that someone had dropped beside a little creak. The wail had come from a wooper whose head was stuck in an old and broken leather band with a few weights sewed on. If he knew about training things he might recognize it as a Power Weight, although it was clearly of no use anymore and discarded. With another infuriate wail the wooper snapped the leather string, that was keeping the band together but had loosened, so now the water type had the band stuck around its neck with a loose string hanging after it. It panted beside the stack of plastic bottles, empty cans and plenty of ripped plasticbags containing damaged pokemon training equipment. It looked like it had been dropped quite recently and the wooper had come to investigate what this new thing beside its home was. Now it turned to look at the newcomers with suspicion and it glanced at the creek wondering when the best time would be to dash for the safety of the water. Wooper [lvl 10] has a thing stuck around its neck and is too proud to ask for help. What do you do?Shiny Check xYlTVKwm1-421-42

Martin Growth GardenerDistracted with his thoughts Martin didn't immediately think much of the white paper he suddenly noticed flapping in between a bed of flowers. He picked it up and put it in his left leg pocket for random trash, which inevitable turned up when one did garden work. He went on his way, and also collected the plastic and pieces of string in a bush, before he even thought about it. It was the sight of the panicked Ledyba that got Martin back to the now, and he frowned as he watched it struggle. As soon the bag was free from the bug, Martin pointed towards it. "Kiwi, get that bag before it causes anymore trouble." He couldn't see the Fletchling, but he counted on it having kept an eye on him like told, and sure enough the small red bird zoomed after the bag with its talons ready for grabbing, like a small promise of what kind of hunter it could become in the future. In the meantime Martin got attracted to a sound of frustration from where the Ledyba had first popped out, and curious he walked around the bush. He stopped short at the small mountain of garbage someone had seen fit to trash beside the stream of water, but he refrained from wording his displeasure out loud. It wouldn't do to scare the wooper out in the creek as long as it was caught in the broken tool. Since Martin's adventure at Blue Moon Falls he was very averse to any kind of pollution in nature, and he certainly didn't want this to spread further than necessary. Keeping his distance from the Wooper he squatted down slowly. "Careful," he said as calm as possible. "You don't want to carry that thing out in the water, right? Let me help you out of it, so you can be on your way." It wasn't like Martin expected the wild Pokemon to understand him, but he had to try at least. Martin couldn't have predicted that Kiwi decided to declare his victory over the plastic bag by dropping down just beside Martin, bag in claws, crowing with pride. Palus had waited quietly on Martin's shoulder, but with Kiwi's arrival and an on edge Wooper that obviously wasn't supposed to run away, he jumped down and moved just the space it took to get the Wooper within eyeshot again. If the Wooper so much as twitched to run, Palus held the newly learned Razor Leaf ready for attack. Their prey wasn't getting away on his watch. Wordcount: 425 (Ooc: Palus uses Razor Leaf, if it looks like Wooper is running.)
