Name: Aliana Dallaire
Age: Fifteen
Gender: Female
Trainer Type: Trainer - may sway between interests
Hometown: Fallarbor Town - Hoenn
Appearance: Aliana tends to stand out quite a bit, and originally that was quite intentional. While not particularly tall, short, muscular or skinny, being more or an average height with a slim, healthy physique for a fit girl her age, she still tends to draw attention all the same. The most notable thing about her is her hair. Once blond, it has been died pink, and is long and wavy, always flowing free but adorned with some kind of pretty hair ornament or small but intricate plait. it is long and waving, reaching just past her waist, and is always well taken care of despite her seeming lack of care for looking her best. Her eyes are a bright sapphire blue, always lit with something, be it determination or her general playful excitement. She loves ribbons and bows, and any kind of jewelry she thinks looks pretty, but she never goes overboard. She tends to wear dresses for the most part, or shorts with a pretty looking top, and even her comfortable clothes for relaxation seem to bare the aim of looking nice. Yet, despite all this, she has no qualms about getting down and dirty, and if someone were to pay attention, she doesn't actually care if she looks good or not, she just picks out what she likes and goes with it.
Personality: For the most part Aliana could be called...childish, to say the least. Not necessarily immature, but almost like she's trying too hard not to grow up. Generally, she's a very friendly and fun loving girl - bubbly, warm, encouraging - just all in all a nice kid to be around, if not for her excitable nature and thrive for adventure that can sometimes get her in over her head. She cares a lot for others, whether she admits it or not, especially pokemon or those who need help. She tends to be joking about, going with the flow, perhaps not taking things seriously enough according to some. She can be a bit temperamental and hard headed at times, maybe say or do things she doesn't mean to, but she really does mean well. She may not seem like she has a serious bone in her body - just a bunch of flimsy ones that can't quite make up their minds - but she does. Underneath it all is not a sheltered princess but a girl with pain and fear that she covers up, and determination to live the best she can and look to the light for her mother's sake. She's living her mother's dream for her, and if ever she could be more serious or determined about anything, it would not be this. Despite what people may think, she would never rely on her looks to get her way.
History: Aliana has always lived around pokemon - as a child living on a farm near Fallarbor town, she was constantly around many different types belonging to her parents and other farmers, as well as any trainers that might stop by and stay or pick up an egg. The most common, of course, were grass, ground, rock and water. It simply made sense, but it wasn't like they were the only ones they had, and were far from the only ones they saw. Aliana got to grow up learning about the farm pokemon, watching eggs hatch and babies grow due to her father being a breeder on the side, and seeing pokemon she'd never even heard of before as trainers from around the world went about challenging the gyms of Hoenn. She had a happy life, living as an only child with her loving parents, learning and playing as she went. She couldn't wait till she could begin her journey when she reached the age of ten - she'd overheard once that her mother might breed her precious Liligant and let her have its baby as her first pokemon, and she was ecstatic. Her mother loved that pokemon dearly, and she never considered breeding it for anyone.
However, they never got to that point. When Aliana was nine and the family had begun to fall on harder times - not quite struggling yet, but they'd had to sell some pokemon and cut back on some of their land. They were sure some money would come in after the next harvest, but Alia's mother seemed to get an idea, and she promised them she'd be back in a week or two. She wasn't. In fact, they waited those two weeks, and there were no calls, or responses to their own. They waited longer, and Alia started getting worried, though she wasn't sure why. She didn't understand. Still, her father kept promising her she'd be back, she must have gotten lost, or maybe the road was blocked, or maybe she had to wait there a bit longer for some reason, perhaps....she just wasn't coming back. He never said it, but after months of waiting, Aliana could tell that was what he was thinking. The closest she got to a pokemon on her tenth birthday was a memory five days after that she wished she could erase from her mind forever - the look of that cute little growlithe at her door, with an officer by its side with nothing but bad news.
Everything snowballed after that, as they went rolling down a hill too fast to stop themselves. Her father hadn't drunk since he'd met her mother, and had never been anything but kind since then except a temper when he was under a lot of stress, but now...he started drinking again, he got angry more often, and she started to be scared of him, too. One day she got so startled by him that she ran from the house in the middle of the night. Eventually when she tripped a bunch of ghost pokemon found her, and while most only wanted to scare her, a few took it way too far, and a couple even attacked her. They did no serious harm, but she was certainly terrified of them after that. The family began loosing money, they lost a lot more of their land, Alia and the pokemon had to tend the crops alone, and eventually, her father sold the pokemon and all the eggs to make ends meet. It didn't make anything better - it only made things worse. Eventually she was taken from her father, and she clung to a childish nature almost like a shield as she moved from home to home before finally settling at thirteen years old. For two years she lived with the family, finally settling back into the personality she once knew, and growing closer than she'd expected to her new family. Eventually, her foster mother agreed that she could start her journey, along with her own son. They moved to Cherrygrove City, and the pair split up, her brother heading for a bit of a journey of his own before heading to New Bark town, and Alia heading straight there to begin her new journey. Now she could do what her mother had always wanted.
Goals: Aliana's number one goal is to do what her mother never got the chance to - travel and experience all the joys of pokemon and the life of a trainer, and try just about every opportunity she can find. Is determined to get a Lilligant in honor of her mother.
Other Info: She is scared of most ghost type pokemon, especially Banette
