It was a relatively peaceful day in the region of Johto, with all the people and Pokémon going about their normal, everyday lives with smiles on their faces. But that peace would soon be interrupted, as a young man baring the emblem of a skull took his first steps onto Johto's soil. The young man took a nice, slow look around, breathing in the fresh air all around him, before slowly exhaling. "This place is quite bright and peaceful." He spoke to himself, before getting a rather devilish smirk spread across his face. "Perfect. Just the kind of place Ill enjoy messing up." It was clear that his intention were anything but pure, as he walked through New Bark Town, not caring in the slightest if he pushed someone aside or stepped on anyone's foot. In fact, he actually intended to do such things as he approached the route just outside the town where the winds of new beginnings blow.
This young man's name was Shinya Stinger, and he'd come to Johto for two major reasons. First, to become one of the strongest trainers the world had ever seen. Second, to show the world that Team Skull lives on. Shinya stopped just before he set foot on the grass of Route 29, as the sunlight shone down on him from the sky above. Before continuing onward, he spoke to all the people of New Bark Town, whether they were listening or not. "Listen up all you peace loving weaklings. Team Skull is back, and this time, its here to stay. Spread the word." With his message sent, Shinya walked out onto Route 29, beginning his search for likely candidates, or some more victims. "Now, lets see if anyone around here is strong enough to join up, or is just more weak prey." The Team Skull grunt laughed to himself after that, starting his search for any wild Bug type Pokémon, as well as trainers for him to either recruit, or just mess with.

Nope, nothing there, might as well look over here. Close by to the Johto newcomer of a trainer, something was scurrying for food. Nope, nothing here either! Where is food?? From the rustling noise in the tall grass first popped up the ears and then the head of a wild Pokemon. Big tail, a circle on its very hungry tummy, the wide arms, this was none other than a sentret. The balmy weather had made a perfect summer day for the Pokemon, except for one thing - it felt an immense hunger for food. And no sunny, cloudless sky was going to prevent that hunger. It wasn't long before the Pokemon noticed Shinya. It heard Shinya speak, but it didn't understand a word he was saying. Even if he could speak human-ese, the hunger would distract the Pokemon from listening to his words much anyways. But it had found the person. And people, more specifically adventurers on this route, typically had at least a shred of food with them. And if it was going to take a fight to get it, then so be it. The sentret began approaching Shinya, bounding quickly on just its hind legs. It was attempting to look as intimidating as possible, but as to how far that went was up to Shinya's discretion. Its natural lovable appearance wasn't doing the Pokemon any favors. A wild Sentret (level 4) appears and it wants food, whatever it will take! What will Shinya do? Shiny check: bWPShjoz1-421-42

Sentret might not have known, but Shinya noticed it long before it noticed Shinya. With no other people or wild Pokémon around at the moment, Shinya could hear the growls of Sentret's hungry stomach from over a mile away. As soon as the scout Pokémon revealed itself to him, the Team Skull grunt looked down at the small wild Pokémon, not looking very amused in the slightest. "What's wrong? Ya hungry little guy?" Shinya asked the Normal type, not showing any reaction to Sentret's failed attempt at intimidation. About ten seconds after that, Shinya smirked a rather devilish smirk at the wild Sentret, reaching into his pocket for one of his Poke Balls, pushing the button on it to make it bigger. "Well then, how about a nice, big knuckle sandwich? Allow me to introduce today's chef. Go!" Shinya tossed his Poke Ball up into the air, letting out his Pokémon of choice, and it emerged ready to rumble.
"Heracro!" The Pokémon in question was a young Heracross. This single horn Pokémon may have been fresh from the egg, but he already possessed a powerful fighting spirit. Shinya had received this Pokémon just before coming to Johto, and this was their first battle, so Shinya would be paying very close attention to Heracross' performance during said battle. "Alright Heracross, you know that we only allow strong trainers and Pokémon into Team Skull. Here's your chance to show me what you've got. Go give that pipsqueak a taste of your Horn Attack!" Shinya gave Heracross his first order, pointing straight down at the wild Sentret. Heracross eyed the hungry scout Pokémon, feeling kind of bad about battling a wild Pokémon whose only trying to get a bite to eat, but Heracross knew very well that with Shinya as a trainer, it was either eat or be eaten, so to speak. "Hera! Heracro!" This was an easy choice for Heracross to make, as he made his horn glow with power, then spread his wings, and flew straight towards Sentret, ramming his horn into the wild Normal type Pokémon with all he had.

Shinya's original reaction to the sentret, asking if it was hungry, got the Pokemon excited, thinking perhaps the trainer would offer the normal-type Pokemon some flavorful food. The sentret was confused at first and was hoping Shinya would offer some food, but the trainer's next question left a sad and frightened expression on the Pokemon. If only the Pokemon had stumbled across a trainer willing to part with some delicious food, the sentret would have had the most perfect day. But now, even the weather proved to not wish to be perfect. Clouds seemed to be filling the area all too quickly and would likely come after the battle, quite like the situation the hungry wild Pokemon had found itself in. As the chef Shinya spoke of appeared, the Pokemon let out a slightly audible gulp. From the appearance of the Pokemon competitor, the sentret had made a bad decision and definitely messed with the wrong guy. The sentret seemed to notice the skulls all throughout the persons outfit, and heard the trainer mention something to his Pokemon about a "Team Skull." Whatever that was. The sentret was clueless and was in a bit of confusion as the battle began. The sentret, however, had a homefield advantage as well as a higher experience level when compared to only its Pokemon competitor. It also could tell the Heracross truly did not want to mean harm and didn't have much of a choice with its' companion of a not-so-nice trainer, but the Pokemon also knew this was all about survival out in the wild. With about equal speed as each other, the newborn fighting-bug typed Pokemon was the first to land its mark. Following Shinya's command, the Heracross flew at the wild Pokemon with incredible speed and landed a decently sold hit, throwing the sentret to the ground like a ragdoll. It hadn't expected such a strong hit from the inexperienced Pokemon, even if it wasn't amazing. Quickly, the scout Pokemon hopped back onto its tail and quickly approached its opponent, landing a scratch across its opponent that did a pretty good deal of damage. The sentret had a newfound sense of confidence in the situation, but did not even think as to the chance the trainer may have a different Pokemon. Maybe if I win... The big-bad trainer will give me food? "Sentret!" Wild Pokemon Battle - Sentret LV 4 Weather Status: Clear Wild Sentret | Level 4 Health : 77% (14/18 HP)Status : Normal Used Scratch! Not long after the clouds covered the area, a single bolt of thunder was heard from the sky above. This was more then enough to make Heracross flinch in fear, but Shinya didn't show much reaction, and even looked up to face the sky for a moment, as the rain began to fall as well. Shinya was used to this type of weather, as it was always like this back home in Po Town for what ever reason. It kind of made Shinya start to feel at home, as the Team Skull grunt smirked once again, letting a few short laughs escape his mouth. "Perfect. Simply perfect." Was all Shinya said, as he then turned back to the battle, but he quickly lost his smirk when he'd seen the outcome of the first round. "Hey Heracross, what do ya think your doing letting this shrimp push you around? I thought you'd be able to hit harder then that!" Shinya raised his voice at his Pokémon, clearly displeased with the amount of damage taken on both sides of this battle.
Shinya's sudden rise in volume made Heracross flinch, as he slowly turned back to his trainer, slightly nervous. "Hera. Heracro. Hera." Heracross apologized to his trainer, telling him that he really did give it his best shot. Shinya let out an annoyed sigh at this, and pulled out Heracross' Poke Ball, calling him back inside of it. "What a let down. Your makin Team Skull look bad! Ill deal with you later!" Shinya yelled at the orb in his hand, then put it away, and grabbed a new one from his bag, pushing the button to make it larger. "I only picked this one up for some trade bait, but I guess it'll do for now. Go!" The trainer tossed the new sphere up into the air, and let out his second Pokémon, who wasn't very happy about being summoned out into the rain. "Char. Charmander." The Fire type Pokémon squirmed where it stood slightly, not enjoying the rain that had started up over route 29 one bit.
Shinya looked down at the starter Pokémon, looking annoyed that he had to use this one in battle at all. Shinya had absolutely no plans of keeping Charmander around for very long, and only accepted it as his starter Pokémon with the intension of trading it away for something that he considered to be better. But at this particular moment, Shinya knew that, as shameful as it was for him to admit to himself, there was no way Heracross could beat this Sentret on his own. So Shinya at least hoped that this Charmander would be able to help Heracross gain a level or two, so he could win the next battle on his own. "Hey Charmander, make yourself useful! Use Scratch attack on that Sentret!" Charmander turned to face his trainer before attacking, feeling rather uneasy when he saw the cold, unfriendly look in Shinya's eyes. However, it was because of that very look that made Charmander want to win this battle, not even wanting to think about what might happen if he lost. "Charmander! Char!" So the small Fire type Pokémon raced towards Sentret with all his speed and power, his claws ready to give the scout Pokémon the best shot he could muster.

The sentret felt a liquid hit its round body, and several more followed as rain surrounded them in their battle. The scout Pokemon did not mind the rain too much, maybe the rain could help it find an evasive edge over its opponents in this intense fight. The sentret had a large sense of optimism after its last hit, however, and it would take quite a bit for Shinya and his Pokemon to take that away from it. Listening to the trainer yell, what happened next would leave a at least a small dent to the sentret's optimistic attitude. With more yelling, the Pokemon it had been facing faded into a red light, and was then replaced with a new competitor. One with a little more experience. One with a fire on its tail - In the rain? Its trainer clearly didn't seem to be worried about the charmander's health however. It seemed like a toy to be thrown away later for something better for Shinya. In the moment that the charmander was switched in, the sentret curled itself up to give itself a defensive advantage against the fiery Pokemon. The sentret knew it would need every little advantage it could get here if it wanted to come out with food. But with a quick order from Shinya, the charmander attacked much quicker than the sentret could make its own move, striking a scratch attack onto the wild Pokemon. The sentret, however, bounded right back and dealt its own scratch attack, striking its nails at the charmander's belly. It seemed as if to be daring the charmander to test how much of a fight the sentret could put up. Another bolt of lightning shook the ground, as the rain continued to fall over route 29, but Shinya kept his cool through it all. The Team Skull grunt wasn't bothered by any of it in the slightest, as he kept his attention focused on the battle. Shinya mentally noted that Charmander was better at taking hits then Heracross, but he knew that this was only a result of the level gap between the two Pokémon. With more training, Heracross will be stronger then Charmander could ever hope to be. That was Shinya's thought anyway. At the same time, Charmander stumbled back a few steps after being hit by Sentret's counter scratch attack, rubbing his stomach gently to try and relieve the pain. As the Fire type Pokémon did this, he once again found himself squirming under the seemingly endless water falling from the sky above, clearly not enjoying this whole situation even a little.
However, Shinya wasn't exactly the most sympathetic human being in the world, noticing Charmander's discomfort, and responding to it in his usual fashion. "Ya can lick your wounds when the battles over, and this weather is nothing, so get it together Charmander!" Shinya once again raised his voice, as another lightning bolt caused the ground to shake once again seconds later, both of which made the small lizard Pokémon flinch with fear. Shinya let out a huff at his Pokémon's show of fear, then made his next command. "If ya wanna get out of the rain, then finish off your opponent! Or better yet, destroy it! Use Scratch attack again!" Shinya had taken a page from his mentor's book on that one, remembering better then anyone that Guzma used to be feared as the Emperor of Destruction, always taking pride in destroying anything he didn't like. "Charmander. Char!" Charmander mustered his courage, gathered his strength, then jumped right back into the fray, striking the scout Pokémon with his sharp claws once more.

After Shinya finished his mini-speech seemingly instilling more fear to the already frightened Charmander, The sentret was ready to attempt to fight the driven-by-fear opponent. It was clear to the sentret that the Pokemon didn't like the rainy weather, and most definitely did not like the lighting. The normal-type Pokemon wasn't quite a fan of it either, but it didn't have a choice. Living on its own, it was either put up with it or you put up with it. It was how the world worked for the sentret. No sugar-coating. No icing. But that didn't change the sympathy it had for others going through similar situations from it. Crack! A loud crackle and steady bang of the thunder followed with a long flash of light further down the north of the route, towards the Dark Cave/Blackthorn City. Nature's wrath. The sentret thought maybe the Defense Curl move it had used earlier would give it an advantage, but perhaps it was wrong. Appearing to be driven by fear, the Charmander's Scratch attack dealt an incredible amount of damage to the sentret's belly, sending it into the grass with one big hit. The scout Pokemon struggled to get back up on it's feet again, but felt weak in its limbs. It couldn't give up quite yet however. Not with food on the line. It charged as quick as it could towards the charmander, with a small limp. The sentret had probably hurt its legs when falling back from the hit. With the thought of its leg on its mind, the Pokemon would attack at the charmander's own legs, dealing a decent scratch to it. But by now, however, the sentret knew the probable outcome of the fight... No food. The more Shinya watched his Charmander and the wild Sentret battle, the more he began to wonder who was suffering more, and if either of them would come out a winner of this bout at all. However, those thoughts quickly vanished from Shinya's mind, as he shook his head from side to side several times. At the end of the day, Shinya had absolutely no interest in either of the Pokémon standing on the battlefield before him. The one and only benefit for Shinya in this battle is that his Heracross would gain some experience from it, and hopefully be able to win the next battle on his own, and every battle after that one that Shinya chose to put him in. The sound some more thunder bolts snapped Shinya out of his little thought bubbles, as he quickly re-focused his mind on what was left of the current battle. The Team Skull grunt got his smirk back right away, as he could tell from the way Sentret was limping that the scout Pokémon wouldn't last much longer.
"Well Charmander, it looks like ya do have some skill after all. One more Scratch attack should finish it off, so go for it! Destroy that Sentret!" With a devilish smirk spread across his face, and an obvious amount of wrath in his voice, Shinya called for Charmander's likely final attack of this battle. Charmander heard every word of his trainer's orders, and wasn't too keen on the whole "Destroy" thing, but he really wanted to get out of the rain and thunder more then anything at this moment. "Char! Charmander!" The lizard Pokémon yelled out an apology towards the wild Sentret, then charged at the Normal type once more, slicing his claws across its body in an attempt to end this battle once and for all. Also, while Charmander was doing all of this, just to be mean, Shinya reached into his bag, pulled out a candy bar, opened it, and started eating it right there on the spot. As Shinya did this, he made sure Sentret was watching him enjoy his little snack, smirking evilly at the hungry Pokémon in between bites.

The sentret knew one more attack and it would be a goner, likely stuck here in the rain unconscious after. There was no chance it could get away if it tried to flee from the trainer and his Pokemon. Its only option was to fight until the very end, even if the outcome was unable to be changed regardless. "Sentret!" The sentret let out a confident-seeming but undoubtedly full of fear cry. "Se- Sentret!" The Pokemon tried to get through its limp as it rushed towards the opposing charmander on all fours, trying its best to increase its speed and deal a decent amount of damage. Maybe even a critical hit. That was what it needed to get through this. Its legs pounded the muddy ground one after the other, charging through the rain as fast as it could possibly go. Too late. One scratch from Charmander straight to the charging sentret's round body would be all it would take to leave the flying back into ground, on the verge of unconsciousness. It tried, probably patheticly seeming to a trainer like Shinya, to get up, but it was no use. The sentret fell right back onto its face. CRACK! Another huge flash of light and crackle of thunder. As the sentret laid there, it began to think (as best as it could in its exhausted about to pass out state) abut what caused the battle. It had wanted food, it remembered. The normal-type Pokemon was watching Shinya as he pulled out something from his bag... A delicious little candy bar! Shinya didn't seem like the type to do so, but perhaps he had decided to give the sentret some food after all? Nope. He apparently wanted the little sentret to watch as he devoured it in front of it, giving an evil smurk towards it. The sentret felt more than defeated as Shinya finished off the candy bar, fading in and out of conscious before finally passing out."Se... Sen.. Sentre..."

As he watched the final scene of this battle play out, Charmander felt terrible, not paying any mind to the rain or thunder anymore. Between the starving, and now injured Sentret passing out in the middle of such horrible weather, and Shinya's cruel taunt towards the wild Pokémon, Charmander didn't feel good even a little, despite winning the battle. On the other hand, Shinya didn't look or feel bad at all. On the contrary, Shinya smirked once again, very pleased with the outcome of this battle. The Team Skull grunt laughed a little, walking over to Charmander, and giving the small Fire type some praise. "That was good Charmander. Very refreshing destruction." Shinya's words didn't make Charmander feel any better though, as the lizard Pokémon looked down, ashamed of himself. "Char. Charmander. Char." Charmander's attitude made Shinya let out a sigh, as he reached into his bag, pulled out Charmander's Poke Ball, and called the Fire type Pokémon back inside of the orb.
"Take a break for now. Hopefully the next Pokémon I catch wont be so soft." Shinya said to himself, putting Charmander's Poke Ball away, then proceeded to put his hands into his pockets. The trainer from Alola then took a moment to look down at the defeated scout Pokémon, laying there in the mud. Most trainers would've likely offered some form of help or aid before moving on, but Shinya was most definitely not like most trainers. He just walked passed the wild Normal type, saying only one thing as he did. "Your just the first of many. Team Skull lives on, and we'll destroy everyone and everything we don't like. And there's a lot of stuff that I don't like." With another evil smirk spread across his face, and another powerful crack of thunder from the heavens above, Shinya continued his way down route 29, searching for his next victim. He was also searching for any potential newcomers to add to his team, but that thought would definitely beg a very tough question for all the wild Pokémon of Johto from this point forward. Which was worse? Being destroyed by Shinya just like Sentret was, or getting picked to join his team and be forced to do the destroying to your fellow Pokémon? That's for the Pokémon to decide.
OOC: Yeah, that's kind of Shinya's thing. 391 more words for my Shuckle egg by the way.

The sentret was left unconscious in the rain, only to wake up at one point eventually and hope it was just a bad dream. The limp and leg pain would probably make that a bit hard to believe for the unfortunate Pokemon ;The first of many in the way of Shinya's path. It could definitely tell during the battle, however, that the charmander the trainer used did not mean any harm towards the sentret. It was doing as it was told and felt bad for hurting the sentret in that way. (The wild Pokemon noticed before passing out unconsciously in the storm.) A situation during the storm would quickly appear however right after the battle with the sentret. shortly in front of Shinya, a wurmple was scurrying as fast as it could from a predator in the sky. Upon looking up, it could be seen that it was a higher—leveled spearow chasing the small bug-type. Crackling thunder noises pierced the sky from unclear directions and all over. The seemingly only living soul(s) living on the route that were having a good time was Shinya and the spearow, picturing how much it would enjoy devouring the bug. Surprisingly, though, the wurpmple had been able to somewhat hold off the spearow for just a bit by scurrying through the grass and hard to reach areas from the sky- It was being tactical with its life on the line- Neither Pokemon had noticed Shinya or the battle that had just concluded due to the current conditions they both found themselves in. A Wurmple (level 3) is running for its life from the beak of a Spearow (level 5)! Will Shinya intervene and help either the Spearow or the Wurmple, or simply leave them be? (or maybe something else?)

Still fresh off his victory over the wild, and now very badly injured Sentret, Shinya had started whistling a tune as he walked down route 29. It was still raining Meowths and Growlithes all around him, but he continued to treat it as nothing more then casual weather and nothing more. However, despite the sounds of his whistling, the rain, and the thunder, Shinya could still pick up the sounds of a Pokémon in distress, and another Pokémon causing that distress nearby, even if only for a moment. Still, a single moment was all Shinya needed, as he stopped his whistling, and turned in the direction of the sounds he'd heard, wondering what was up. As soon as the Team Skull grunt laid eyes on the Spearow and Wurmple, a small smirk appeared on his face, as an idea began to form in his evil mind. Without missing a beat, Shinya grabbed Heracross' Poke Ball, and pressed the button to enlarge it.
"Lets see if we can kill two Spearow's with one stone. Heracross, come on out and use Horn Attack on that Spearow!" Shinya tossed Heracross' Poke Ball up into the air, letting him out for another battle, while also giving the Bug/Fighting type his first order, and pointing out the wild Spearow for him. Heracross emerged from his orb shaped container, taking a short moment to collect himself, and listen to what his trainer had to say. "Hera? Heracro." He was a little stronger after his first battle, but Heracross still had serious doubts that he'd be able to win a battle against a wild Spearow of all Pokémon. Never the less, he knew what would happen to him if he disobeyed Shinya's orders, and it was far worse then anything any Spearow could do to him. "Heracro. Heracro!" Heracross shrugged to himself, gathered his courage, then flew straight at the wild Spearow Shinya had pointed out for him, infusing his horn with all the power he could gather as he closed the distance between himself and his new opponent.
While Heracross engaged Spearow in battle, Shinya turned his attention to the wild Wurmple, walking over to the small worm Pokémon. Shinya stomped his foot down in front of Wurmple, blocking its path, and looking down at it with another smirk. Another jolt of thunder lit up the sky directly behind Shinya when Wurmple looked up at him, then Shinya began to speak with the lone Bug type Pokémon. "Hey now, cool your jets Wurmple. There's no need to rush. See there? Me and my Pokémon are gonna help ya out." Shinya pointed out the battle between his Heracross and the wild Spearow that was currently unfolding for the Wurmple, then spoke up again after Wurmple had taken the time to see for itself. "Of course, our help isn't free, so your gonna have to do somethin for us Wurmple. Ya got it?" Shinya questioned the small Pokémon, clearly wanting something from it. The question is, what could Shinya possibly want from a wild Wurmple?

The spearow enjoyed the thrill of the hunt and had no problem that the wurmple did what it could to avoid getting captured, it would have been too boring otherwise. The thunderstorm just added to the excitement. It didn't notice Shinya and it was quite a surprise for it when Heracross came rushing at it, it looked after the wurmple and discovered it beside the human, which made it a bit wary. Humans were a thing to keep your distance to and hadn't the other bug type chosen to run straight into its claws it might have lost it lunch because of it. Spearow had no problem switching targets, not when someone freely threw themselves at its feet. The bird looked hungrily at Heracross, it had never tasted a pokemon like that before. Heracross was brave to continue straight at the bird that looked like it wanted nothing else than to take a bit out of him. He gave the spearow a solid slap in the face with his horn, but only managed to bruise it and the spearow grinned maliciously back at him. This didn't promise any good for the bug type. Wurmple hadn't discovered its pursuer had been diverted by another pokemon and it continued to zigzag and doing all it could to be difficult to catch. Shinya's foot stomped down right in front of it and it ran face first into it. It backed up and looked terrified at Shinya, and then glanced back hurriedly to see how close the spearow was. It blinked surprised when it discovered it had stopped chasing it and had its attention at another pokemon. It brightened when Shinya told it they were here to help it, tears welled in its eyes by relief it was not going to die today! It was so grateful it didn't once think that Shinya might have some ideas it wouldn't like, it agreed wholeheartedly right on the spot. At that moment it felt it was the least it could do, they had saved its life after all. The looks Spearow was giving Heracross were more then enough to make the Bug/Fighting type flinch with fear, as he took a few steps back, and tried his best to keep his nerve. Believe it or not, this was actually a lot easier for Heracross then most people and Pokémon might think. Mostly because Heracross knew that if he turned tail and tried to run away, Shinya's wrath would be far worse then anything this wild Spearow could do to him. This helped, but it also made Heracross feel a great deal of pressure. The single horn Pokémon tried not to think about it too much, as he took a deep breath, and put on his bravest facial expression, standing his ground against the hungry Spearow. "Heracro. Hera. Hera." While Heracross held the attention of the tiny bird Pokémon, Shinya knelt down in front of Wurmple, and began to explain his proposition to the wild Bug type.
"Woah, easy there Wurmple. No tears. We're not out of the woods just yet." Shinya waited for the worm Pokémon to dry its tears, then continued his explanation. "So, here's the deal. Me and my team are looking for new recruits to come with us and join our cause. The revival of Team Skull." Shinya gives Wurmple a grin, showing it his Team Skull necklace, as it glows brilliantly with another flash of lightning. After giving Wurmple a good look at his team's emblem, Shinya spoke to it once again. "See, Im aiming to become Team Skull's new leader, just like my big bro was. And as it turns out, his specialty was Bug type Pokémon, just like you. So in exchange for our help savin ya from that Spearow over there, your gonna come with us, and be Team Skull's newest Pokémon recruit."
Shinya wasn't really giving Wurmple a choice, and spoke in a tone that sounded like he already made all the decisions in this deal himself, but given that Spearow was still up and hungry, Wurmple didn't really have much say in the matter anyway. While Shinya waited for a reply from Wurmple, he got back on his feet, and turned back to Heracross and Spearow's battle. As much as it made him wanna puke, Shinya could tell right away that this battle wasn't gonna work out either, so he once again grabbed ahold of Charmander's Poke Ball. "Looks like ya still need a little work Heracross, come on back! And Charmander, take over!" Shinya called Heracross back over to his side, and threw Charmander into the battle in his place. As Charmander appeared in front of him, Heracross quickly turned and ran back over to Shinya's side, feeling a mix of relief and fear. After a minute, Heracross turned his attention to the wild Wurmple, gently using his claw to dry its tears for it, trying to comfort it as best as he could. "Heracro. Heracro."
Meanwhile, Charmander wasn't feeling so hot, being sent out into the rain and thunder for a second time. "Char. Charmander." By now though, the lizard Pokémon was more used to it, and didn't complain as much as before. "You know the drill Charmander! Use Scratch attack on that Spearow now!" Shinya wasted no time yelling out his order for the Fire type to follow, hoping that after this battle, Heracross would finally be able to hold its own in a battle. Charmander turned to face his second opponent, seeing that this battle would definitely be more challenging then the last, but just like before, Charmander wanted nothing more then to get out of the rain. "Charmander! Charmander!" The starter Pokémon grit his fangs, gathered his strength, readied his claws, then charged right for the wild Spearow, doing his best to show no fear. All the while, Shinya made sure that Wurmple didn't go anywhere, having already decided to add the small Bug type Pokémon to his ever growing Team Skull ranks.
OOC: Heracross is switched out for Charmander, and Charmander uses Scratch on Spearow. Another 600 words for my Shuckle egg as well.
