I love the new forms of Zorua and Zoroark and their typing is disgustingly good. I will be using them on my team for sure. As for the trailer potentially showing someone die I love it and hope they do more dark trailers like this. Pokemon has so many dark undertones it has a ton of potential if it digs into it. I can hardly wait to see how much of a difference the OLED Switch will make in the Hisui Region. Galar is a pretty noticeable difference in dark or colorful areas.

For the DP remakes, I'm just hoping for more than 2 Fire types this time around.

So who found out this game comes out next week and is now rushing to finally wrap up Sword/Shield DLC. Cause that's what I've been up to.

Posting this in a spoiler tag as I have a lot to mention. I still have more notes to go through but here is a nice helping of some of my notes so far. I am addicted to this game and cannot bring myself to play any other Pokemon game after playing it. I am just under 38 hours into it so far.
I have reached the 8 star rank in the game so far and it is the last rank you unlock new items in. Rank 9 and 10 just give items you can get normally. The new Pokemon all have different ways to evolve them either through a new item or using a move in the agile or strong style a certain amount of times or until taking enough recoil damage from using them.
Alpha Pokemon are bigger than usual, have move tutor moves in some cases by default and have at least 3 3/10 effort levels. They also having glowing red eyes until they are captured. The highest leveled one in the game is a level 85 Garchomp in the final area. Hisuian Goodra, Lucario, Golem, and many other Pokemon are guarenteed to spawn as alphas and most other Pokemon have a chance of being one.
Getting shinies is easier than ever. Not only is there a shiny Ponyta quest but the odds of getting a shiny can get crazy low. I already captured a shiny Eevee. Pokemon are also rendered at a far greater distance than Sword and Shield so it is super easy to spot most shinies from a distance.
The movesets are heavily reduced with out only 180 usable moves. The absence of Earthquake and Surf are quite noticeable and no HMS or TMs are in the game leaving the move tutor as the only way to expand a Pokemon's moveset beyond leveling up. There is no breeding either.
Some Pokemon such as Hippowdon will hunt you down without mercy if spotted. Of all the Pokemon who have attacked my character Heracross seems the most dangerous in some cases apparently able to 2 shot you. Most pokemon take 4-5 hits to cause a blackout unless enough time passes between hits.
Darkrai and Shaymin are bonus Pokemon for having BDSP and SWSH save files. Darkrai is super helpful against the final Volo battle while Sky form Shaymin can be useful as well. Speaking of legendaries you get both Dilaga and Palkia during the main story and Giratina, the Unova Genies, a new Genie and Arceus in the post game. Manaphy and Phione appear in a quest you unlock during the main story. That quest even references a book in the Canalave Library in BDSP.
You get Spritomb for finding 107 wisps located throughout all the areas. After finding them all and returning the to quest giver the 108th wisp turns into Spritomb.
You get the two starters you did not pick in the post game and in the post game all 3 and their evolutions can appear in space time rifts. Porygon, Johtonian Sneasel, Weavile, Craindos, Shieldeon, Rampardos, Bastidon, Magnemite, Magneton, and a few other Pokemon can only spawn during a rift. The Sinnoh starters spawn in the wild normally along with all of their evolutions.
Alpha Rapidash stares at you like it is about to take your soul after stomping you to oblivion. It is quite freaky.
Hisuian Sliggo and Goodra, Wyrdeer, Ursaluna, and Kleavor all evolve from regular preevolved forms. White Striped Basculin is new to the game and only it can become Basculegion. Hisuian Sneasel evolves into Sneasler, and Hisuian Qwilfish evolves into Overqwil.
Arceus gets a new plate the Legend Plate that changes it's type into the most effective offensive type in the current battle and it change change type during the battle.
Numerious characters are ancestors of modern game characters such as Volo and Cognita being Cynthia's ancestors. Funny enough Cylene is not a bad guy despite Cyrus her modern ancestor being bad. Volo is the main bad guy in the game only revealed at the very end.
Jubilife Village has fields where plants can be grown and the number of fields can be expanded by bringing certain Pokemon. A hairdresser is also added later. Stores also get better inventory with time and some only get new stock by completing quests.
Other players dropped items spawn in the world as lost packages and by picking them up the items are returned to the player who lost them and you earn merit points which can be used to get evolution items. Evolution items can also be quest rewards and found in space time rifts.
Abra is one of the hardest Pokemon to capture at first as they disappear as soon as they see you. Kadabra and Alakazam on the other hand will try to attack you on sight. Alpha Alakazam also has Luxio nearby who will help it hunt you down if you get spotted too close to them. Staravia spawn somewhat close as well so depending on the path you take to try and get some distance a whole army of Pokemon may be after you. Thankfully the area it spawns in is mostly an open field giving you quite a bit of space to run if spotted.
The Eeveeloutions can spawn in space time rifts as well though like the starter evolutions they are rare.
EXP candies from SWSH make a return alongside Rare Candies. Unlike in SWSH where most EXP Candies were Max Raid Battle rewards EXP candies are given as both quest rewards and can be bought in a certain store.
The Noble Pokemon especially the last two can be quite tough. In general this game is way harder than any other mainline game. Using healing items though not quite essential is far more useful than most of the previous games. The final boss uses Giratina twice after you beat his full team of 6 with no healing in between to give you a good idea of just how much more useful healing can be.
Only a small number of Pokemon are shiny locked. Also every alpha can be shiny. Upon capture the only thing that changes about them is they lose their glowing red eyes.
Effort Levels are almost as important as levels themselves as Pokemon Stats have been totally changed around for this game however not quite as extreme as the Let's Go games.
Certain areas require you to be a certain star rank before you can go there. By star level 5 you can go anywhere but until star rank 7 not every Pokemon will obey you. Star rank 7 finally allows Pokemon of every level to obey. Even Pokemon you capture yourself will not always obey if they go above your level cap.
Gigaton Balls are super useful if you sneak up behind a Pokemon. Even at full health they seem to have a 33-50% chance of capturing an alpha Pokemon with a backstrike. Backstrikes are when you hit a Pokemon in the back with a Pokeball of any kind without being spotted or noticed. In every case the capture chance goes up when you are successful.
In the canon of the game Pokemon have apparently died from being attacked by wild Pokemon. Others mention being bedridden for a weak after taking a Thunder Shock.
Dialga and Palkia get new forms and the new genie has an alternative form. Giratina can get it's alternative form but no new form. Darkrai and Shaymin do not get new forms but despite being bonus Pokemon they have Pokedex research that can contribute towards your star rank like every other Pokemon.
