The wild mustang calmed down a bit as Dustox explained that they were friends. Friends were a welcome retreat from the constant threats that its herd had to worry about as they raced through the open plains. It spun around on the tips of its nimble hooves and bucked to raise itself up on its back hooves. “They’re friends, herd! They come in peace!” The mustang whinnied to its party. The other Ponyta, who were off chasing each other or laying happily in the tall grass under the hot summer sun, whinnied back. “That’s great!” “Good news!” with some of their youngsters squealing, “Can we play with them, please?!”It wasn’t until Legigant came rolling over and screeching at the wild horse that the white equine came crashing back down on all fours and spinning around defensively. It zipped in large circles around the large centipede, sizing him up carefully, and trying to determine the threat level this one had compared to the gentle moth. “I only inquired if you are friend or foe. Your companion assured me you are friend!” It smirked then wiggled its eyes combatively. “But if you like to fight…I won’t oppose!” The agile Pokemon neighed and took off through the tall grasses, stopping only to ensure its new friend was giving chase. Some small colts and fillies wandered curiously close to Alex with large, curious eyes. The mothers and fathers of those respective foals watched nervously from the sidelines, with an ‘if looks could kill’ attitude should Alex try anything nefarious with their young. Occasionally, they would whinny loudly, getting their young to back away from Alex any time they felt they were roaming too closely. Meanwhile, Scoliopede rolled after his opponent with ease, slapping the wild mustang with his poisonous tail and knocking the breath out of Ponyta’s lungs. “You win!” The horse laughed, collapsing in the tall grass. “You’re definitely a worthy opponent. So long as you don’t harm our young, we can coincide in peace.” Ponyta neighed softly. Legigant gained 1300 EXP. 50*26: 1300 Legigant increased to 2038/3367 EXP!Legigant grew closer to Alex. +1 Legigant increased to +10 Happiness!Frosmoth gained 1 level. Frosmoth increased to Level 13!

"You're great in battle too! I am sure you'll be great protecting your young!" The bug complimented, giving the Ponyta a nod of approval. "We're not going to like, terrorize your young, but if they want to have a challenge, then I say go for it!" After the fire type and its friends had left, Scolipede originally was going to return to his resting spot, but in the distance, he saw something that made him an easy. When he realized it a few seconds later, it was a rolling blanket of dust and dirt coming their way.
"This don't look good, everybody, back!" He hollered at everyone. Alex's Pokemon all gathered around him, and then the Venusaur used his vine to point at the incoming Sandstorm's unrolling itself. One by one, Alex felt the warmth of his Pokemon, and returned them to the safety of their Pokeball. Chryaisy was the last one. She handed him a small bundle of orange flowers. It wasn't a lot in the area, but it was enough to show her appreciation.
Of course, Alex's remorse from the Morty gym battle would still be around, but he felt better now from his Pokemon's encouragement. He began walking quickly toward the Pokemon Center to try to avoid the sandstorm.

The sudden sandstorm surged around Ecruteak, the sand moving at blistering speeds and cutting into the skin and eyes of any unprepared Trainers or Pokemon wandering Route 38. Which was, to say, pretty much all of them. These sudden summer sandstorms weren't unheard of, but this one had come so randomly that none had been prepared for it. It would be all his Pokemon could do to shield themselves or Alex from the cutting sand. Alex was not the only person looking to flee to the Pokemon Center for safety, as he could see other Trainers taking their Pokemon into their arms and fleeing towards the Pokemon Center or to their homes. Amidst the beige winds of the sandstorm, a single bright pink entity could be seen. Standing perfectly still on the path leading back to Ecruteak, staring into the distance as if completely disassociated, was a Snubbull. It was something of a recent fixture, having been seen out in this spot multiple days in a row. This Snubbull had been given as a gift to a young Trainer, but as was unfortunately the case for many gifted pets or animals, it had been seemingly abandoned when the child realized how much work it was to care for or raise. But nevertheless, it had been told to wait in this spot for its owner to return, and so it would wait. People had tried to make it move but had received a strong bite for their troubles. None could even get close to the animal for fear of being attacked. Alex, unfortunately, passed far too close to the pink puppy, who let out a snarl and snapped its big jaws at the passing Trainer. The only path ahead required going past the dog, and it would not budge from that spot. If Alex wanted to get past it or move it, he would have to fight it to get past. The Snubbull, remembering the instructions given to it by its owner, stood its ground and began to snarl some more. A wild Snubbull (Level 21) might have been abandoned and is feeling rather bite-y about it! What will Alex do? Weather: SandstormShiny? 5cmPeABL1-421-42

The sandstorm was rough for Alex. This wasn't his first sandstorm, but he didn't like the feeling of breathing in coarse and rough air in his respiratory system. Shouldn't he get an alert for the sandstorm? Or was he too depressed earlier to check his notifications? Now was also not the time to check his electronic device in case tiny earth particles blew inside of the electronic device, and he wouldn't want to shop for a new one right now.
Alex came across a barking Snubbull who was standing guard by a particular spot. He wasn't sure why it was there, nor did he remember the dog was there when he left the Pokemon Center this morning. He wasn't sure why the fairy type was defensive about this spot. Did someone passed here and the dog refused to move on? Did the dog pissed in this spot and claimed this spot as its territory? He wasn't sure about the aggression, but he would have to calm the beast down to move on.
He tossed and released Gig from a Pokeball. He held onto the cloth wrapping his mouth and nose before trying to make a command. "Bumg Bimm !" He meant to say Bug Bite, but he was trying really hard to not breathe in the dusty air. The Scolipede somehow understood and went for a bite. Then, he readied his hand for a Great Ball as he wanted to capture it.

Snubbull stood firmly in place and narrowed its eyes suspiciously on Alex and Legigent as Alex called his Pokemon out. ”I’m waiting for my trainer to return.” The small dog barked angrily. It flashed its sharp teeth between thick, wrinkly skin around its muzzle and snapped them fiercely in the air. “You’d better get on back! I won’t have anyone stop me from waiting on them!” Why were they even out in this icky weather, anyways? The sands swirled around Snubbull, cutting, and scraping their delicate flesh and causing them more pain than its wanted to suffer through. But it couldn’t leave yet. Not when their trainer hadn’t even come back for it yet! Legigent rushed across the ground on his several swift feet and bit down on the small pink pup. What was that for?! The bog retaliated, turning its head around and sinking its teeth into Legigent’s side. It coughed and spat at the ground with a disgusted look as it pulled away from Legigent, who looked like he was even faster than before. How? “Uhh! That’s what bugs taste like? I just want my puppy chow! Can’t ya’ll just help me find my trainer? He’s a small child about yay high, with thick curly red hair and lots of freckles. Head to toe in freckles. Please help me find him?!” Snubbull whined. As Alex pulled out his own ball, Snubbull growled and barked angrily while running in wide circles around them. “No, no, noo!” Snubbull’s voice echoed in the air, causing some of the travelers who were hurrying to the nearby Pokemon Center to pause and turn their heads in confusion. It was howling, as though Alex was thoroughly beating it down without a second thought about its own feelings. Of course, it was being melodramatic about the whole ordeal. “I’m an owned Pokemon. Don’t you get it?! OWNED! I have a trainer! You can’t capture someone else’s Pokemon! I need my boy!” Snubbull wailed. When the Great Ball made contact with Snubbull’s head, though, it was sucked inside and captured within the blink of an eye. The young pup was barking and snarling a lot, but Alex had no idea what it was saying. Alex was amused by the Snubbull's ability to open its mouth in this sandstorm. The Scolipede cheerfully replied to the pink dog. "Yeah, my shells are tough and they might taste funny, but they keep me from those sharp teeth." After Alex had successfully captured the Snubbull, the Scolipede sighed. This poor pup did not realize that its trianer had left and abandoned it! If it wasn't an owned Pokemon, Alex would had fail to capture it.
Alex continued trudging and treading on in this sandy weather, hopeful for returning back to the safety of Pokemon Center. He dreaded harsh weather besides maybe sunny and foggy and cloudy. His wish for warm or cloudy days was halted when he encountered another obstacle along the way.

The sandstorms that ravished the lands around them were anything but inviting. While most trainers hurried along the route back to the Pokemon Center to escape the worst of the storms, one trainer stood just on the outskirts and awaited some unsuspecting and rather niave trainer to come along. He was preparing his best moves with his birds, who would eventually take flight to the skies above and prove to the world how majestic they were despite their short wings and oddly shaped bodies. The kid smirked as one of the brown feathered bird’s heads squawked loudly and chased after a pink haired girl’s frail Weepinbell, before landing sharp clawed marks along its side and knocking it out. “You monster!” She yelled, recalling her Pokemon in a hurry and turning to flee into the nearby center. “We told you we didn’t want to fight, but you insisted! We told you we wanted to escape this nasty weather! But noooo!” Bird Keeper Toby clung onto the small bird cage at his side – which was comically too small to hold his birds so why he even carried it was a mystery in itself – and shrugged. “Listen…I’m sorry you lost. But our eyes locked. It’s trainer code that we have to battle. Really…it’s no hard feelings, miss.” Toby tried to reassure her. After she disappeared, Toby perched himself back up in the nearby tree like he might have thought he was a bird and waited. When Alex wandered unsuspectingly underneath him, Toby screeched out loudly and dropped to the ground below. “Caw! Another trainer has caught our eye, caw!” The bird keeper stretched his hands out wide as though they were wings and tossed a Poke Ball up into the air, releasing a two headed ostrich. “Denali come on out, caw! Show our friends how we play, caw!” Of course, Toby did have to occasionally cough back up mouthfuls of sand from the raging storms. But it was clear that he wasn’t going to let a little weather stop his fun. Bird Keeper Toby Challenges Alex to a Battle! Toby sends out his Level 26 Denali the Doduo. What will Alex do?

Alex thought he heard a girl saying something in this sandstorm, but it was so dusty that he barely opened his eyes, and the buffering weather was muffling sounds he had heard. Eventually, something jumped down from a tree and challenged him to a battle. In the middle of this sandstorm. This trainer was another obnoxious sounding one. He muffled a groan under his covered mouth as he had to battle a hooligan. This one liked to imitate bird calls, it sounded like. "Excuse me." He spoke, trying to avert his eyes and walked on, but it didn't seemed like this trainer would budge, and he reluctantly stopped. "There's no way you can see me under this weather. Heck, I am covering most of my eyes!" "Fiine, I'll give you a battle, but we're not here to play! I am trying to get back to Pokemon Center! Are you crazy? Are you going coocoo?" He grabbed a Pokeball and sent out his Venusaur. "Use Weather Ball!" Now that he had seen this new move in the sun, its time to see it in the dust! ooc: weather ball is rock type in sandstorm weather ball x2

"But you have heard me! Caw, so that still counts!" Toby called out triumphally, "Caw Caw! A bird has the keenest eyesight of all pokemon and no storm or lowered visibility will hinder its sight or make it miss! Caw, and neither will I as I will not keep my birds back!" He spat some more sand out of his mouth, only to get it filled again instantly, and he cursed under his breath, he too should have thought about bringing something which could keep the dust out. His head snapped up and he glared at Alex, "Caw! I'm not crazy, how could you ever get such idea!" He scoffed offended, "a crazy one can't take care of their pokemon and my birds are superb! Caw! If you think I'm weird, its not my fault! I refuse to live up to your rigid standarts for what is normal and how you can or cannot act! Caw! Show some respect for people different from you!"Toby's grin and confidence returned when Alex called out his pokemon, this was going to be easy! All these grass types his opponents had were the perfect punching bags for his birds, he was going to be ready for his ultimative test in no time! His eyes widened, which he soon regretted as they began to water from the dust, but what Alex had ordered and what he saw did not promise well. The weather ball whirled in the air and collected a lot of the sand and dust to become a sandy version which would not be nice to meet by anybody. "Denali, quick! Quick Attack! Caw!" He shouted and spat some more sand out as his doduo rushed off and slammed into to the huge venusaur, who acted like nothing had happened and calmly sent the whirling ball of sand at the bird which resulted in a fluff of feathers. Toby gritted his teeth, and really loud as sand scoured between his teeth, and recalled his fainted bird. A moment later he let it out again, or more correctly, another one just like it. Saurobix handled that without a sweat and gains 1300EXP! (2227/3367) He also gains +1 Happiness! (+13) Frosmoth learned by the exp share and grows +1 level 15! Bird Keeper Toby is far from done and sends out yet another doduo Bavnehoj [Lv 27]! (ooc: Saurobix has 85/106 HP. Also kept the theme of mountain names for the doduo, although it can be discussed if the latest one is a "mountain" )

"What? I can't hear you?!" Alex replied half genuinely and half sarcastically, as he wasn't sure if "assuming someone hears you can start a trainer battle" counts as a rule. "Your birds count what?"
He then continued the normal conversation. "Well, normal people don't stay out in this sandstorm AND start a Pokemon battle? Shouldn't be heading to a shelter or indoor?" He hollered at the strange trainer. He could not fathom the next sentence this strange bird man said, to which he replied again. "THAT'S GOOD! You take care of your birds! But what about you? This sandstorm would be bad for you to breathe in and could dry and rough up your skin!" A lot of trainers seemed to focus on the care of their Pokemon and forego themselves, and Alex hated to see that.
"Saurobix, keep it up with the Weather Ball!" He shouted his next moves. The giant garden toad croaked, and then whipped up another weather ball from his flower's center.

The sandstorm raged on like a ravenous beast whose hunger would not be satiated until it destroyed everything in sight. Even Bird Keeper Toby had to shield his eyes as the worst of its gritty sands clawed at his sides and covered his outfit, making it look dingier and dirtier than he would have lived. “Bavnehoj use Quick Attack, caw! Spare no expense to take out your opponent, caw!” Toby ushered through mouthfuls of sand that he would continuously spit back out on the ground. Alex acted as though he couldn’t hear him but Toby didn’t let that bother him. They were locked in battle now, there was no way that Alex would simply get away from this without seeing it through to completion. Toby was sure of that. Saurobix created another large ball of energy that spiraled around in the air. As it spun, it collected large bits of sand and grit inside of its mass. Small pebbles spun around, clacking against each other with a strange sound. Bavnehoj rushed through the sandstorms, keeping his head low and his eyes locked on his opponent, until he was able to leap onto Saurobix’s back. He thrashed with great effort, taking small chunks out of the bright green leaves that surrounded Saurobix’s large pink flower. Saurobix shook Bavnehoj off easily and knocked him inside the cyclone of air and sand, which spun him around in large circled before spitting him out in a tired heap on the ground. “Caw! Bird down, bird down! You monster, you beast, caw!” Toby pulled out Bavnehoj’s Poke Ball and recalled his precious bird at once. He pulled another ball out as easily and tossed it up into the air with a loud whistle. “No matter, caw caw! Marmolada come out and show this treasonous Venusaur a lesson, caw! There’s no reason a grass type should be so strong against my birds unless it’s foul play!” Toby growled loudly into the storm as his final two-headed bird emerged from its ball. It squawked angrily as the sands raged around it, battering the small avian from all sides relentlessly. Toby nodded, shielding himself just the same. “I understand, Marmolada, I do! But we cannot let this matter go unpunished, caw! Use Pursuit, in case Saurobix has had enough and our opponent tries to switch!” He called loudly. However, Saurobix would continue on in his relentless effort to clear the air of Toby’s birds. Another ball of power-packed energy, combined with small rocks and plenty of sand it’d picked up along the way slammed into Marmolada, knocking her out as soon as she’d set claw on the ground in preparation to fight and knocked her out as easily. Toby stared wide-eyed in disbelief and hung his head as he walked over to Alex and handed over a small sum of funds. “You’ve won this time, caw. I hope that next time I can show you what powerhouses birds truly are. When the sands of time are not favoring you as much as they are today, caw!” And with that, Toby would turn and vanish into the sands themselves as he raced off. Saurobix gained EXP. When Alex saw the bird trainer shielded his eyes and seemed to be wincing, he yelled. "See? Sandstorm bad for eyes!" He then covered his mouth again and most of his eyes as he watched his Venusaur conjured another Weather Ball that would knock out the second Doduo that tried to slam onto him with another Quick Attack.
Alex and Saurobix ignored the accusation of them being a monster, as the sandstorm was buffering and keeping their mouth shut would be a good idea to stop grainy sands going up your system. Disappointingly, the trainer sent out yet another Doduo! "It's not foul play! It's Weather Ball!" Alex finally replied, may have misunderstood the man. His Doduos might be fast, but they're no match against the Venusaur using the element to his advantage!
Alex grumbled when Toby wanted to show him the powerhouse of birds, he had already battled Falkner and did not need to be impressed by birds again. He continued on to the Pokemon Center.

The hot summer day intensified as it rolled across the plains and seemed to burn anything it touched. The waters in nearby lakes receded, making their shorelines longer and their depths shallower in comparison. It was truly a terrible thing to experience, as the sun burned in the bright blue sky with barely a single breeze to lower the temperatures or a single cloud to try to enshroud the burning ball of gas above. Many Pokemon panted, roaming further away from the plains in search nearby water sources, or gathering underneath the shades of the few trees that populated the area around them. A wild stallion raced across the plains delighting in the heat that poured from the summer sun above. It was invigorating and lit the mane along his back, making the flames leap higher than they ever had before! Several other white horses gathered in the distance, frolicking, and playing with each other as they chased each other. They nipped at the flanks of their friends with their sharp teeth, careful not to maim or scar each other. As one equine tagged another, it would spin around and gallop at the top of its speed, and the new ‘it’ horse would give chase after its companions neighing and whinnying cheerfully so. One horse stopped in the fields and stood like a sentry in the distance. It narrowed its eyes suspiciously on Alex and his team and bucked, nodding its head to the side as though challenging Alex all the way from the other side of the plains. ‘Are you a threat?!’ The nod seemed to say without a word being uttered. The horse would race through the wheatgrasses and soft sands over to Alex, prepared to kick and chase him off in an instance should he not convince it that he meant them no harm (or send someone out to defend him). A Wild Ponyta appeared! Level 20. What will Alex do? Shiny? Mxa|EosU1-421-42

With the sandstorm faded, Alex was thankful to see clear skies and was able to open his mouth again to breathe clearly. He would still like to head back to Pokemon Center to remove all these dusts and sand from his clothes. He could see some creatures running in the background, but he paid it no mind until a lone Ponyta approached him and neighed questionably.
He wasn't sure what the Pokemon was saying, so he sent out his Scolipede to do the talking instead. "That depends on what you mean a threat is. I would love a good battle though." The purple bug rolled himself in position as he distanced from the fire type to prepare for another battle.
"I will start first!" The bug hollered, and then rolled into a ball as he prepared for a Roll out. He became a purple blur in the field as he rolled around and waited for an opportunity to hit the Ponyta.

The wild stallion had never considered a possible threat retaliating and challenging it in the manner that Legigent had. They were either quick to confirm that they were threats or reassure the wild equine that they meant no harm. “A threat is something that wishes to cause my herd harm or steal our freedom!” Ponyta neighed, stomping one sole hoof into the ground underfoot as it stared at Legigent firmly. “Does that mean you are a threat? Or that you mean us no harm and do not wish to take our lands?” It asked the large Scolipede firmly. Legigent’s challenge was a delight, though. Ponyta reared up onto its hind legs and shook its head with a loud whinny. “I always welcome a good battle amongst friends and friendly acquaintances!” Ponyta replied to Legigent’s offer. As soon as its hooves landed back on the dirt earth, Ponyta tore across the ground as Legigent curled up into a tight ball and rolled at high speeds through the tall wheatgrasses. Legigent would make contact, slamming into Ponyta with enough force to send it backwards through the air and landing on its side in the wild grass. Ponyta snorted, slowly rolling over onto its side and lifting itself back up from the dirt earth above the tall grasses that enveloped it. It’s flaming tail shook behind its body as though Ponyta were whipping it about in a wild frenzy as it recollected itself. “That was a good move, my friend! But are you prepared for my best attack yet?!” Ponyta shot across the ground, stomping its hooves against the ground as it ran. Legigent rolled in a speedy frenzy and met the horse headfirst, sending Ponyta back several feet again. This time, Ponyta would slowly stand and flee back to its herd with a loud neigh. “Good match, but I must go!” Legigent gained 1000 EXP. 50*20: 1000Legigent increased to 1300/3781 EXP!Legigent grew closer to Alex. +1 Legigent increased to +13 Happiness!Frosmoth gained 1 level.
