SOS Battle Guide
Adrenaline Orb | Makes wild pokémon call for help. Single use. 1 orb per battle. |
When put in a pinch, it is only natural to seek help from others and the same goes for Pokemon out in the wild. An SOS Battle can be triggered by using an Adrenaline Orb during battle if the following conditions are met:
- The pokémon is alone
- It's HP drops below 60%, OR it's afflicted by paralysis, poison, or burn
- They are not frozen or asleep
When an S.O.S. is sent out another wild Pokemon will join the fray, making it a 2 vs 1 match.
Special SOS Encounters
There are pokémon that can only be found as an SOS encounter. This chance is affected by the rarity bracket and certain abilities that intimidate, unnerve, or otherwise pressure the wild pokémon into calling out. The number of opponents which appear can be chained up to 3 times.

Certain Weather Conditions draw particular pokémon out regardless of the location. These weather SOS encounters replace any location specific SOS pokémon while the natural weather conditions is active. Areas with permanent weather such as The Lake of Rage are exempt from this and will have their usual spawns regardless of the weather in their area.
Eg: SOS is triggered in Cherrygrove City Streets while experiencing a Dust Storm. Hippopotas would appear instead of Trubbish.
