Coming from Shady GlenAs Marchbaby approached the gloomy ravine a sense of terror and hopelessness surrounded him. This did not seem like a nice part of the forest at all and he did not like being here one bit. The area was very dark and depressing to him. At this very moment Atropos popped out of her Pokeball. She immediately fell in love with the area and felt like it would make a fantastic home. Marchbaby did not even pay attention as she floated around the area hoping to find bodies she could turn into zombies like she loved doing. The ghost Pokemon was in a great area for a Ghost type and she was ready for a fight. " I do not care what we are after I want to fight it if it's here. This is my kind of battlefield dark and depressing I love it." She said as she searched for signs of life. Marchbaby was about to go crazy putting up with her. " First we do not know if we will have to fight and if we do Kamikaze is a bit more fitting in such a dark place being a Dark type." He said as he hoped he was in the right area. [Staying hoping I picked the right area for Farfetch'd.]

Indeed Marchbaby was in the right area, the area in this part of the forest was covered in mist from the moisture in the air that formed this way. Even if the mist wasn't there, this part of the Ilex Forest would have enough foliage to make traveling in this area an endurance training location. Sitting atop a mossy log was a brown feathered Farchetch'd. It was essentially roosting on the log, folding its wings and enjoying the tranquility in this eerie part of the forest. Sure, visitors might be creep out by the strange mist and psychological perspective toward the mist, but for the Farfetch'd who actually sneak here time to time, this place don't have ghost-- as far as it knows-- and was peaceful. Until Marchbaby came, and the Farfetch'd could smell the presence of another human, and it knew what the young trainer was here for. Squawking loudly to the stranger that it won't be moving from its spot, the bird folded its arm and defiantly sat down on the spot, appearing like a five years old who don't want to move from its spot. It looked like Marchbaby would have to make it move.

As Kamikaze delivered he second attack and Farfetch'd fell down fast asleep the young trainer was filled with happiness to see that Kamikaze had won while only taking a single hit. He thought for sure that she would have taken more damage from the bird than what she did but he was still thrilled by how well she had fought. Looking at her now he knew that she had a ton of fighting spirit and despite her dark past her future looked quite bright for her if she kept fighting so well. " You did great there Kamikaze. That is one Farfetch'd down and only one more to find before we can head back to Slyvester and we can get the Cut HM he promised us for returning them." He then watched as Kamikaze picked up the sleeping bird and threw it onto her shoulders to carry it to wherever they went next. Marchbaby was pleased to see her so willingly help out and was looking forward to finding the next Farfetch'd. It did not seem to be in this area of the forest as if it were it likely would have come to help it's comrade in the last battle so Marchbaby knew it may be a bit of a journey to try and find the other Farfetch'd but he did not mind at all. He was actually hoping that it would want a battle before it would come along just like this one as it would be great training for Kamikaze before they got to Goldenrod. As Marchbaby and Kamikaze walked they looked to see if they could find any clues as to where the other Farfetch'd may be. There were various tracks on a small dirt path that led to another area in the forest and as he had no other leads to follow the pair along with the sleeping Farfetch'd started to walk along the path just hoping to get lucky and find the second one. As they walked along the path the fog began to get less thick and off in the distance they could see what looked to be an orchard. Seeing as how it would likely have food for a wondering Pokemon the pair decided to look there next. Marchbaby and Kamikaze stepped off of the path and walked towards the orchard not sure what to expect. All he knew was that this area was close to the Gloomy Ravine and Sylvester did say that the second Farfetch'd should be close. Ooc: I hope this is how we are supposed to do it as this is the way I saw Tygress do it.

Continuing down the path in Ilex Forest, Alex was trying to understand which part of the forest he was in, let alone finding a Farchet'd. The area was dark and misty, but it didn't look like there was any sign of the bird. Walking with his Spinarak, Dustox, Combee, and Lombre, Alex noticed that pretty much only his Spinarak and Dustox preferred this dark atmosphere, as the other two were neutral and those two were particularly happy. This area was a bit difficult to see clearly, but for every few steps that he took, he looked around for any sign of this Farfetch'd. As he kept on going, eventually he could see the trees many steps ahead were transition again to another part of the forest. Then suddenly, he realized that he was hungry and took a break with his Pokemon. Opening, his bag, he pulled some Pokemon food to feed them, and some store-brought food for himself as he was traveling. As he was digging through his bag, he found out an item that he may or may not have forgotten, and it was a TM Ice Beam. He looked at Lodd the Lombre, and mentioned how he can't even remember where he got it from. However, seeing that the Lombre was part water type, he decided to teach the grass/water type the move. A few moments later, the Pokemon had learnt the move, and tested it by blasting some distant patch of ground where they had walked. The ice type attack was strong, and stained an area in frozen ice, and creating a mist combining with the moisture in the air. Well, maybe that move would come in handy with the Farfetch'd. After eating, the walking group continued down to the next part of the forest. -Going to enchanted orchard-

"Ah!... Slow down, Atlas! Stop running awaaay!" Taking the lead, the Pansage had managed to lure Catherine into what he believed was the correct direction. Only, he wished that the Farfetch'd had chosen to reside somewhere else. The area was drastically different from the other places that had passed. Cold, dark and almost lifeless, it was a wonder why even nocturnal Pokemon would want to wait in an area like this. Her feet cautiously stepping along the soft ground, Catherine needed to be careful of the deep puddles of sludgy water and low mist that floated by her ankles. Shuddering the girl hugged herself tightly but pressed on. "I guess a Pokemon would sleep out here. It is very... Dark." Unknowing of how to like this area, for now, she needed to find a Pokemon.
Allowing Atlas to climb back up to her shoulder, Catherine tilted her head to the side, resting it momentarily on top of Atlas'. "Thank you for your help! Now we can help Syl out faster, too!" Stepping across the fallen foliage, Catherine began her search by peering around several of the many bland tree trunks in the area. After a couple, she paused and straightened her back. "Odd. There isn't many places to hide here but I can't exactly hear or see other Pokemon either." Finding it unusual to be in a place that wasn't brimming with life or noise, it had noticeably brought down the energetic character of Catherine, too. "Let's keep looking." Exchanging a smile with her Pokemon, she continued her search, hoping that any of these tree trunks would harbour a run-away avian for her to take back.
Waiting for Farfetch'd Encounter.

As Catherine searched tree trunks looking for Sylvester's other Farfetch'd there was indeed an avian lurking in one of them however it was not one of the missing Pokemon she was after. Rather it was an annoying cave dweller that was known for being one of the biggest pests in the universe. As the bat Pokemon flew out of a nearby trunk it let loose a horrible shriek as it flew towards Catherine like a bat out of hell. Stopping a short distance away from her as it held it's position trying to decide if fighting her was a good idea or not but after pausing for a moment the bat decided to go for it. Humans were a rare sight around these parts however the bat was feeling pretty brave as it had been on a winning streak lately and wanted to keep it going. Even with it's poor eyesight the bat did not see the young girl or her Pansage as too much of a threat. Sure it had underestimated foes before and paid the price but with how lucky it had been lately there was no reason to no give it's luck another go. Zubat inched closer to Catherine ready to start a fight. The bay may not have been very intelligent to pick a fight with her so quickly however there was no denying it was a rather brave bat for trying. A level 12 Zubat appeared. You may start your battle here.

Searching for the second Farfetch'd carefully, Catherine poked her head into every nook and cranny she could find, even places that were deemed unsafe looking by most normal travellers. Not the type of person with self awareness, she searched regardless, standing on her tip toes every now and again, looking around to ensure she hadn't missed the running Pokemon. "This one is just simply CHEEKY!... ANY LUCK UP THERE, ATLAS?" Craning her head upward, she suddenly raised her voice and in return, receiving a frantic rustle. Atlas her Pansage had decided to scan the tree line but as he re-emerged with a shake of his head, it was a clear indication that he too, was unsuccessful. Pouting her lips and kicking her toe against the soft earth, the aspiring nurse turned on her heel and mumbled under her breath, "I guess I'll go and look over there."
Approaching a different cluster of trees, she placed her hand on the bark and leaned forward, parting her lips and calling into the trunk, "Hellooooooaaa--AAAAHHH!!" Her less than polite greeting turning into a scream of shock, all of a sudden something came flapping out of hiding, causing her to jump backwards. What appeared wasn't a Farfetch'd but instead, a Zubat. A hand placed loosely on her chest, the girl let out a soft sigh of relief, her other hand resting on her flushed cheeks. "Ahh, it's just you, Mr. Zubat!" Although relief had set in, she noticed that the bat was acting fairly territorial. Flapping toward her, she pulled a puzzled looked with a tilt of her head, backing off slowly. "Eeeeerrrmmm, it doesn't look happy... !!" Feeling Atlas land back on his shoulder, she jolted upright and rallied the rest of her Pokemon with a lift of her arm. "GOTTA GO! BYEE!" Speeding off with a whimsical run, Catherine and her team fled from the Zubat and dashed with great haste to the next area.

-coming from Shady Glen-After dropping off one of the Farfetch'd with Sylvester, it was clear to Ethan that now he needed to find the other Farfetch'd. He wasn't exactly sure where to go, but he vaguely remember something about a Pokemon wearing red boots... that kind of hint was not helpful at all. He have no idea or clue of a Pokemon wearing anything, let alone a pair of boots. Keeping his attention up, he walked casually as he moved his heads and scanned the area. The Farfetch'd couldn't hide forever, right? It would be bound to show up eventually. -going to Enchnated Orchard-

Ooc: Coming from the Shady Glen.Ic: As the group made their way to the next area the ravine quickly lived up t it's name. The gloomy feeling the area had was hard to describe as Tyler walked down a water covered area. The trees looked like something out of a horror movie and the fog made it hard to see far away. This would be the perfect hiding place for a duck that wanted to keep itself from being found by it's trainer. After finding the first one no problem however Tyler would not let the terrain stop him from taking the bird prisoner. Having two canines that could tear the flesh and bones from the birds body only made him more confident that he would not have any problems forcing the bird to come along just like he had forced the last one into submission. " No mercy was shown to the last one and if we find that blasted bird none shall be shown to it. Mania just like before I want you on point to rip that bird apart if we come across it. You did good last time but I still do not want you to get too cocky. I highly doubt it will be a threat to you but you never know." Mania just sighed as she was sure she could easily handle the bird. " I am not afraid of that bird at all. After seeing how weak the last one was and your own admission that Sylvester could never handle a stronger one I am sure I can handle the pest. So long as I get to try out my Night Slash again I am thrilled. My claws have been thirsting for blood for way too long and that first Farfetch'd was not enough to quench that thirst."As they continued to walk along the fog only seemed to grow worse. Tyler's only Pokemon that could produce light currently was very vulnerable to water so Tyler decided to teach Blitz Flash so he could see where he was going. " Blitz come on out. Take this TM and learn Flash so we can see where the hell we are going. I have a feeling we will need it elsewhere as well so you might as well learn it now to be safe." As the magnet Pokemon studied the contents of the TM it's body began to glow brightly enough to pierce the fog. Not only that but he hoped the light would serve as a beacon for the Pokemon they were after. Ooc: Staying for the Farfetch'd encounter. Using the TM for Flash on Blitz. It will forget Supersonic as I do not plan on using that move anyways.

The aggressive party headed further into the darker depths of the maze-like forest, soon realizing that the thick canopy gave way to no light. None of the residents that enjoyed the cool underbrush of darkness provided any either, leaving Tyler no choice but to provide some of his own. Blitz was ingrained with the knowledge of the TM acquired from the monk's tower in Violet City and soon put an end to the problem. Or so they would of thought. The area illuminating with the electrical brightness produced from the steel type all manner of critter that had previously been silently watching scurried away into hiding. No bright tan-cream set of feathers would catch their eye. However, one of the dark dwellers approached. Huffy, an Oddish stomped as hard as its little stumpy feet could up to the fearsome trainer. It showed no fear of the scruffy wolf and shouted. Oddish (Lv 14) doesn't approve of the light! Will Tyler fight or flee?Go here battle

Coming from the Enchanted OrchardTyler and his Pokemon made a quick pitstop in the Gloomy Ravine before heading back to the Shady Glen. It was the quickest path back and it would not take long to navigate through. With the second Farfetch'd flung over Mania's shoulder the group continued to walk towards the entrance of the forest hoping for this wild goose chase to be over. " Not much longer now, just a but further and we shall be able to drop that pesky bird off and claim our reward." Tyler said as they continued along a path that led back to the Shady Glen. After a few minutes of walking they saw a sign saying " Shady Glen straight ahead!" As they followed the sign back to where they met Sylvester. Going back to the Shady Glen

Coming from Shady GlenOroro sped through quickly, making an attempt to wind through the dense woods promptly. As previously stated in the many posts regarding her journey through the woods, the young trainer was definitely not trying to use up too much time in this bug filled monastery. Although insects found this place a paradise, Ororo was already quite tired of it. There was really not much to do here and this type of environment didn’t particularly inspire her, one could say.
Staryu continued shining its light in front of Ororo, making sure to do it in a way that would not attract wild Pokemon, however. The professor in training sighed, bored of this repetitive adventuring. It seemed like days, when in reality it had only been a couple of hours. Looking ahead and watching her step was the only activity she could do for now in order to ensure a timely arrival at wherever this duck was hiding. She began to speculate what that bird was up to right now, probably hiding in some tall tree that Ororo couldn’t get to. She didn’t want to think about it as the stress was already making her rather annoyed. Off into the next part she went, the sweet smell of fruits wafted into her nose. ((211 words to incubator.))

The ranger continued down the ever darkening path. Yep. He was definitely on the right road. At least for where he guessed he needed to be. Until he started seeing signs of any of the inhabitants Sylvester described this could end up being the wrong way. As he moved along he started seeing just what he was hoping for: spider webs. Little trickles of light glinting off of the fine threads up high. Perfect, though, the canopy was becoming quite thick at this point and he hadn't thought to bring Seraph with him on this journey. Luckily he was prepared for the outdoors. [break] [break]
Slowing his pace the young lad swung his backpack around to dig for a flashlight. "Ah hah!" he shouted triumphantly to himself as his fingers wrapped around the torch and pulled it out. Zipping his bag closed he twisted the frame of the device and held it forward. Though satisfied with the beam of light shooting into the distance, he wished he had been paying a bit more attention to where he had been walking. [break] [break]
The path dipped down sharply; and so did Damien. Luckily it was only a short slide and not a tumble as dirt and dead fall crackled under his weight on the way down. He landed on his butt in a pile of damp leaves and needles, heart pounding in his chest. At least he'd managed to keep hold of his stuff. With a quiet groan he stood, aiming the light from side to side to get a better look at the now reasonably darkened area he'd stumbled into. Turning round he looked at where he'd come. There was no going back that way. [break] [break]
Brushing himself off a tad he carefully tread forward, beaming the flashlight toward any sounds and making sure to avoid the large pool of water sitting ominously still in a corner of this gloomy ravine. The flutter of leathery wings beat in the distance mixed with the occasional muted hoot. Birds and bats, and no doubt there were some spiders to be had too. Man he hoped he didn't wander into a thick web moving between any of the trees here. A shiver crawled down his arms at the thought.

The creepy atmosphere os the Gloomy Ravine did not make Damien's search for Farfetch'd any easier. The depressing energy surrounding the area made it a very unpopular area for tourists to visit but it made the perfect training ground for a Farfetch'd who had run away from it's trainer. The eerie area was almost as depressing as a battlefield with the dead decaying plants and black water that was so dark that you could not even see anything beneath the surface. Despite the less than hospitable surroundings however a few Pokemon still called the area home and they were smart enough to stay out of Damien's sight as they knew he was after the Farfetch'd. It was good then that Farfetch'd was looking for a fight as it walked out in front of him with a fierce level of determination. The duck Pokemon had been training in the time that had passed since it ran off and now it was ready to try and fend off the trainer who had come looking for it. With it's green stalk firmly gripped in it's wing the bird Pokemon marched towards Damien ready to battle whatever Pokemon he sent out to keep its freedom. It was not too bright to challenge him out of the blue but the warrior blood coursing through it's veins overtook any rational thought of retreating. "FAAAAAAAARRRRRRRFFFFFEEEEEETTTTCCCHHHHHHHHHDDDDDDDD" It said as it began to swing it's leek wildly trying to intimidate Damien before the battle began. The duck was so sure of its abilities that it did not think the human would even have the bravery to try and take it on and that he would run in fear over facing its wrath. A wild Farfetch'd appeared. Please go here for your battle.

There wasn't even time to do any sort of celebration. Simourv did better than he expected against the frozen block, smashing it to pieces and releasing the defeated Farfetch'd from the icy prison, but his discomfort with such sharp looking birds caused a hesitation. In that moment of fumbling over words in his head the tan duck managed the strength to stand back up, aided by its leek, and scamper off into the darkness. The flight broke the ranger from his thoughts, a faint gasp wisping passed his lips. [break] "Hey! No, wait I have to..!" The words were wasted. The first farfetch'd didn't even slow down from the sounds of the sloppy footsteps slapping further and further away in the ravine. Booker barked and started forward, sniffing the ground where Kurt's Farfetch'd had been in order to pick up the scent. The sudden action by his faithful hound snapped Damien back into action as well, his hand darting to recall Simourv with but a quick compliment. "Alright Booker, lead me to him." [break] [break]
The pair set off in chase of the vegetable wielding duck.
