Apparently I should sell Alex's old rod and get a good rod, unless it's like Key Item so no selling old rod

Yus! Technically Old Rod's max level is 20 -- it can't be any higher.
Upgrading you to a Good Rod, Lv 20

Yus! Technically Old Rod's max level is 20 -- it can't be any higher. Upgrading you to a Good Rod, Lv 20 Is it 5000 (good rod)- 500 (Selling old rod) or just 5000 from me lol. just checking thanks |

You don't sell. It's an upgrade to your existing rod at it's max level that costs the amount specified.
*Edit: added notes about max levels in shop. It's already in the guide.
