Surprised this isn't already around. I know a good percentage of you on here are dirty addicts. Takes one to know one of course. Considering it's been out for sometime already, how's everyone fairing? Favourite new additions? Hated new monster attacks? Which version did you all pick up? So many questions! I've already sunk more time than i'd like to admit into the 3DS version (Will eventually get the WiiU one to play online but its far off) and it's amazing. Bit peeved with how they changed around the Helios design. I really do not see how an Egyptian motif is garnered from a very viking looking beast. It's got horns and a big gnarly beard for the love of...

asdfghj I did this quest today... oh. my. god.Brachydios can be a bloody nightmare, but 2 of 'em in a room, plus one raged to boot... best bring clean undies. Pink Rathian can die for all I care... the one move I hate (other than her twirly flip) is her hawking move, where she hovers around you and boxes you in to slap you with a tail flip... it's damn hard to dodge. G-rank is such a challenge but I love it. Sure monsters are stingy as ever but some G-rank armor designs, and new moves of monsters, really freshen it up. I adore Brachydios. I really do. He's such a BAMF to fight (except, of course, that G-rank quest with 2 of the bastards) and he's just so interesting... keeps me on my toes with his moves. Although he's the new king of combos and will punish you for a mistake or being too greedy.

Dual G-Rank Brachy? That was a fun one. Must admit, P.Ian has that one move which always puts me off and it's that side bite which has now received mentoring from Michael Bay with EXPLOSIONS going off like it's one of his films. G-Rank monsters have been really weird with drops, that or the desire sensor is screwed. So many times Morri and I have been playing together yelling WE DON'T WANT DARK DRAGONGEM and WHAM. We get it. >_> I do love Brachy as well. He reminds me of some beefed up Garchomp or something. Now to get a Garchomp and name it Dios or something haha. Definitely a cool monster and his theme is nice which helps if you're grinding the hell out of him (Stingiest ***** he is with gems). >_>

Yeah it got kinda ugly a few times. The worst thing was my first go though... I head into 4, go "aww a tiny Brachy!", proceed to poke him with my sword... then he got mad. A slime puddle exploded near me, I start getting up and he did his power wave (where he jumps forward a little with his horn in the ground and launches that slime explosion in a line) and I died. I rage quit and tried again to much more success. (and one of the two in the successful quest was a new silver crown big boy)
G-rank and rare drops have been unfailingly kind to me. Got inundated with Fey Wyvern Gems while grinding Volvidon/G. Jaggi, got a Mantle off my first G-rank Pink Ian, and large wyvern stones out the ass from Green Plessy... and my first G-rank Los gave me a Mantle too.
Brachydios is the new stingiest asinine jerk alive. I don't bother grinding him at all because he won't give me gems. As it is I try not to use his weapons unless the quest I'm after has monsters that don't share a common weakness (the offline Narga/Arzuros/Zinogre is a good example). I usually just let my Shaka-twits run Slime attacks.
Speaking of the Shakas, they are so much more useful than Cha-Cha was in Tri. I've had them be the source of many hilarious moments (and stealers of glory kills). They're not as good with stealing rare items but meh.
Have you cleared Mark of a Hero yet? That quest is /brutal/, ugh. It took me 43 minutes, mostly because Ivory was being a dick.
