Avila was a bit surprised at how well the odds were going for Permifrost in this battle. This had been the first time the odd Swinub had managed to freeze a pokemon with his powder snow. None the less, she'd take it if it meant beating the annoying red head. The Zubat fell in front of Permifrost and Avila with a soft thud now entombed in the ice. It was only a matter of time before it would thaw, and Avila would take that opportunity to strike some more. Yet she couldn't help but wonder why was he so determined to show that he was the best when he couldn't even keep his Zubat defrosted in the battle? It confused her. "It's not a trick, any pokemon could have been frozen by permifrost's attack. Yours just happens to be the one." Avila said as she countered Silver.
"Permifrost, use another Powder Snow!" She called out towards her ice ground type pokemon. It looked like Permifrost was ready for more as he sniffed out where the frozen zubat was. It was bad enough that the pokemon lied there helplessly and now it couldn't do anything until it thawed out. Permifrost started to decrease the temperature around them just like before as the area was getting colder. It was as if winter had come far too early. And with that, frozen crystals appeared in the air as he aimed them for the frozen zubat.

With the second Powder Snow, the Zubat's health seemed to be brought down to the last couple bit of its health. Silver could not believe how weak his Zubat is! He was furious and began shouting toward the frozen tomb, "Zubat, thaw yourself out you weakling! If you can't thaw yourself then you are so the most useless Pokemon I had caught!"Then, as if miraculously motivated or pushed by its trainer, the Zubat was able to breakthrough the ice, finally freeing itself and began flapping around again. "Tch, at least you're not that useless! Go Bite some pork!"The blind Zubat at first used its echolocation to find Permifrost first, and then bit hard with its tiny teeth. The Swinub whined in pain, and shrugged it off like nothing happened.
Silver's Zubat- level 16 1/43Status: thawed itself out! Zubat thawed out! Zubat used Bite! Critical Hit!Avila's Permifrost- Level 18 30/51Status: none! Permifrost used a successful Powder Snow! It's Super Effective!

Well the ice didn't last long at all as the Zubat was released from its frozen prison. Avila let out a soft sigh seeing that their hope of having a frozen Zubat for awhile seemed to have come to an end. But Permifrost seemed to be handling himself in the battle as he survived a harsh bite attack from the zubat. It was clear that the Zubat was probably not going to last long at this rate it might be one more turn before it faints, but that was all if things went right for Avila and her pokemon. "Alright Permifrost one more Powder Snow!" She called out towards her ice and ground type pokemon.
Permifrost began to repeat himself again like the last few rounds of battle. The air began to get cold and the moisture froze as new balls of ice were formed. Permifrost directed the shards and chunks of ice for the Zubat, and wondered if this would be the last round for the rat with wings.

With one more storm of ice, the Zubat was knocked out from the intense coldness of the Powder Snow. The freezing air could be felt briefly as the attack was being executed, but soon the air warmed again from the atmosphere. Silver scoffed and returned his Zubat, commenting, "Tch, I knew this thing is useless anyways." He then moved his hands around and tossed another Pokeball. Out from the capture device, a sentinel smoking ball appeared, with an evil expression on its face. "Don't think you're winning yet, get ready to lose," the red-haired boy mocked Avila, stuffing his hands in his pockets to maintain his pose.
Permifrost defeated Zubat and gained 2 levels! He is now level 20! He also gained 1 happiness! Now Happiness +5! Silver sent out his (Level 14) Gastly! OOC: rofl, I almost made the mistake of looking at the BW dex instead of BW2 dex.

Ooc: Lol it happens Tiki! Also sorry if the post is kind of shorter than normal. I was sick over the weekend and my muse kind of dropped.
Bic: "I already knocked out one of your pokemon. We've improved heavily since our last battle and I can show it that we're going to win." Avila said. She decided to keep Permifrost out on the field besides switching out to get another pokemon. The swinub seemed eager for more as his confidence grew with every battle that he won. "I think you know what to use. Powder Snow!" She added looking back at her Permifrost. It had been the same move before, the same one from before.
Permifrost began to make the air a lot colder once more. As the air started to freeze, so did the water that was in it. Soon crystal like pieces of snow started to form in the air and he sent the powder snow attack at Ghastly. But he could only wonder just how much luck he'd have on hitting this ghost pokemon and keep on the winning streak that he was going right now.

"Yeah, yeah, you've only defeat my useless Pokemon. I'll just win this battle right back. Gastly, use Hypnosis!" Silver grunted, covering up the fact that his Zubat could hardly hold its own battle. The floating gas ball got the trainer's command, and the eyes began glowing. However, because Permifrost's eyes were either covered with too much furs, or they were half-closed, the Swinub felt nothing from the so called Hypnosis. The trainer exhaled heavily, noticing that it missed. Then, the ice type sent chilly wind and ice crystals toward the gassy Pokemon. The sudden flux of temperature change seemed to damage the body or core, of the Gastly. The gases coming out of the Gastly seemed to fluctuate a bit, as the ghost type was being weakened.
Silver's Gastly- Level 14 21/36Gastly used Hypnosis! Hypnosis failed! Avila's Permifrost- Level 20 35/56Permifrost used a successful Powder Snow!

"I doubt you'll be able to beat all my pokemon that easily. We're going to put up a fight and you're going to be in for a surprise." Avila said knowing she hadn't lost yet to a pokemon battle with the ones that she used. She had many others in store that were ready to battle-in speaking of which she was thinking about switching out from her permifrost to give someone else a chance in the battle. But she quickly figured out who it was going to be.
Avila decided that it had been enough for Permifrost even though he seemed to be doing alright for now. "Permifrost return. Let's go Aphrodite." She called out towards her pokemon as the otter pokemon appeared on the field. The Dewot appeared after taking Permifrost's place on the field. The otter pokemon appeared ready and unlike her time as being an Oshawott she was not as fearful in her evolved form. "Dewott dew!" She called out as she grabbed a hold of one of the shells that she had on her side like she'd normally do. However no move was called this round since Avila did not want to risk her pokemon getting injured and put them behind.
Ooc: Swapped Permifrost for Dewott, ad no move was called.

"Tchyeah, I'll see how you can put up a fight if I fight your Pokemon one at a time. Gastly, Mean Look!" Silver was holding himself from laughing, mostly because he knew that he can keep the Dewott trapped, and therefore prohibiting Avila from switching her Pokemon again. The Gastly whispered spookily, "Gaasstly." Then, the ghost Pokemon's eyes glowed red, and it grinned evilly. The red eyes sent tremors and fears in Dewott, preventing the water Pokemon from running away or being swapped out. "I hope you're ready, heh," the red haired boy taunted, smiling just as spooky as his own Pokemon.
Silver's Gastly- Level 14 21/36Status: None Gastly used a successful Mean Look!! Avila's Aphrodite- Level 17 57/57Status: Mean looked! Permifrost was swapped by Aphrodite! OOC: too lazy to google back sprite. it's your dewott smiling at avila because it got mean looked.

"You think a Mean Look is going to scare me and my pokemon, you'll have to think again." Avila said as she looked back at her Dewott. Since she knew her pokemon had been known as a frightened one. But with her new found ability to overcome that fear as she evolved, the Dewwott was ready to take on this Ghastly. For awhile it seemed like fear wasn't even in her emotions as she faced the pokemon. After all it was just eyes, a ball of gas and as well as a pokemon with a creepy smile.
"Aphrodite, use Razor Shell!" She called out towards her pokemon. It wasn't long before Aphrodite took one of the shells that was attatched to her hips and aimed it for the ghastly that stood on the other side of the field. The shells were razor sharp, even for a Ghastly that was going to hurt. It was clear Aphrodite was standing her ground for this part of the battle.
Ooc: Lol it's ok Tiki don't mind at all.

"Duh, a Mean Look isn't going to scare you, but a Hypnosis would! Gastly!" Silver spoke sarcastically in reply to Avila, and then yelled out. Then, the ghost type's eyes glowed red and seemed to sent a sleepy brain wave toward the Dewott. However, the water Pokemon easily shrugged it off, because the Gastly wasn't terrifying with the size. Aphrodite knew she's still the bigger Pokemon here. Then, Aphrodite ran forward and swiped the gassy Pokemon with her glowing, sharp shell. The attack was powerful enough to cut through the life force in the ghost Pokemon and fainting it. The red-haired boy angrily returned his Pokemon, saying, "Well, this one's also useless, but not the next one."He then tossed out another Pokeball to reveal a Croconaw. The water Pokemon breathed heavily with his big jaws, as if the Pokemon was about to bite through Aphrodite.
Silver's Gastly- Level 14 0/36Status: None Gastly used Hypnosis and failed!! Avila's Aphrodite- Level 17 57/57Status: Mean looked! Aphrodite used Razor Shell! Gastly fainted! Permifrost gained 1 level for participation! Now level 21! He gained 1 happiness, now +6! Aphrodite gained 2 levels! She is now level 19! She gained 1 happiness! Now +5! Silver sent out his (Level 18) Croconaw!

She really could not believe what this boy was saying, a pokemon was considered useless? So far she had managed to beat each one almost easily and now he had brought out his starter pokemon (Which he had stolen) and his hopes seemed to be higher for this one. She knew she had a trick up her sleeve that involved her pokemon, Snivy and was ready for a fight when he least expected it. She'd weaken Croconaw with Dewott at first to make way for Chloe's final attack. The plan was already at hand. "Aphrodite, use Razor Shell!" She called out deciding it was probably best to ignore the boy with his remarks. If she wanted to make a point, she was going to defeat him in battle to knock some sense into him.
Aphrodite raced forward once more as she took one of the shells from her knees and swung forward at the other water pokemon. A counterpart of her own from another generation, but none the less an opponent. Aphrodite did not seem to show much mercy for Croconaw, since it was most likely like its trainer. Dark, cold and unforgiving as the pokemon would do the same. This next one she hoped, would leave a nice mark on the red headed trainer's pokemon. This battle had to end sooner or later.
She was not planning on using Blazebit in this battle. He was weak against Croconaw and she was certain of that. Water beat fire and that was easy to remember. For now, she had to settle with Aphrodite, and make sure that her pokemon would do the job. Aphrodite had done a swell job when they had been training together.

(OOC: I was sure this was claimed earlier by someone! Any way: sorry for the wait.) Silver rose a single non-impressed eyebrow as Avila let her Dewott stay out to battle. He huffed disdainfully when he heard what she ordered Aphrodite to use as attack. Aphrodite got a direct hit as her scallops collided with Croconaw's jaw, like she had given him a slap. Croconaw made a threatening rumbling sound, from deep within his chest as he bared his teeth and hammered them together to show his strength. He never removed his eyes from her, and if glares could kill.. He definitely looked much more intimidating, than the first time she had seen him. Though he had evolved and became much stronger, the scars that covered him, showed it hadn't been an easy journey. Silver facepalmed. "Why am I even wasting my time on this?" He murmured to himself, and shook his head and sent Avila a annoyed glance. "Bite!" He snapped, and Croconaw spun his head around and slammed his teeth around Aphrodite's left arm. The pain was immense, though it didn't last long, as Croconaw with a quick movement of his head let the dewott tumble to the ground. He hadn't moved an inch, and still glared at her, looking almost like he was hating her... "This! this is why you are weak!" Silver yelled to Avila and pointed at first Aphrodite and then Avila herself. "When you finally use a pokemon, which doesn't have type advantage, you ask it to use a move, which is weak against you opponent! You can't figure out how to battle, fi you can't hide behind type advantage or moves like sand attack!" He spat at her and then crossed his arms, staring condescending at her.
Pokemon Battle! Weather: None in effect. Silver's Croconaw |level 18| HP: 46/56 Status: Normal Used: Bite Avila's Aphrodite|Level 19| HP: 51/63 Status:Normal Used: Razor Shell (And I'm going to put a backsprite up And let us just stay in the animated ones. Avila wasn't dumb, she knew that the two type match ups didn't work. She sighed as she fixed her glasses so she could see right (Though she wasn't exactly amused by the boy's attitude currently going on, and maybe not seeing him would be the better idea here.) But she knew that Aphrodite wasn't going to be the one to finish off Croconaw like she had done earlier she had another trick up her sleeve and that was Chole. Either way, Silver wouldn't get out of this one easy the way that he was talking to her pokemon.
The anger was there yes, but she was holding it back knowing that it might confuse her pokemon showing that the angry side was something that you didn't exactly want to see. That and Avila rarely used it, so there was a time and place for it of course, "Come on really I wouldn't make a move without thinking it through. You just think you're all mean and red because of your pokemon and it's got strength? Well here's a News flash: Strength isn't everything." She said as she looked back at her Aphrodite knowing that she was sheer proof of that, Aphrodite used to be afraid, the shy type who didn't have any strength on her side.
But no,w after evolving she felt like a new pokemon and the power even surprised Avila at how far she had come. "Anyways." She said as she looked back at Aphrodite. "Aphrodite, let's use another Razor Shell at Croconaw!" She called out towards the ninja like pokemon as Aphrodite rushed forward, bounding on her feet as she went forward, taking one of the shells from her hips and began to swing it at Croconaw. This time Aphrodite wasn't holding anything back because of what the red headed brat said earlier. This time, it was serious and Avila noticed it too with Aphrodite. She could only wonder what this Dewott would be like when she finally evovled, it'd be something like no other.

~~ VS. Silver ~~ Sneering at Avila's words, the troublesome youth known as Silver was clearly not going to be so easily swayed by her stance. " Strength is everything. Don't you forget that." Opening up his arms as he recalled their past encounters and the fight itself unfolding before them, he made clarity of his argument. " As stupid as I think you are as a trainer, there was no doubt you won in the previous fight against me through pure strength. Not clever tactics, nor luck. I realise this now. You won by pure, raw strength." Almost ready to spit on the floor with contempt, he pocketed his hands casually as he leaned his head back with a decided glare to his gaze, almost as creepy as his Gastly's Mean Look with those silver eyes of his. " Hmph, but you've lost that advantage now. My Pokemon may have been a runt before but he's become something stronger." Looking at her Dewott, he once again smirked at her choice. " Razor Shell? More like dull shell. That move is worthless. You've forfeited your right to win this. Let me show you what brute strength can accomplish." As Avila called out her order to Razor Shell once more, causing Aphrodite to go striding forward with prejudice, Silver merely grunted as he commanded his Pokemon. " Hmph. Bite. Crush that stupid otter with your maw." Letting out a grunt of its own, it was clear to see his Pokemon was becoming more and more like himself. Like trainer, like Pokemon as they say. Nearing her target, Aphrodite clasped onto her shell weapons and with dexterous aplomb, used them skilfully as weapons against her foe. Striking with definite swipes at the Croconaw, they made a grazing cut against the Pokemon. Sadly, toughened up from all the abuse and intensive training it had received from its master, the Croconaw merely shrugged it off with his impervious hide. Easily taking the hit, the Croconaw made good of Silver's commands. So close in proximity, it opened its jagged maw and with a massive chomp, bit down on Aphrodite's other arm. Refusing to let go, the Pokemon began to shake its head to indent its teeth down further. Struggling to break free, it was only thanks to a momentary slip that Aphrodite freed herself and made away back to Avila's side. Pleased by his Pokemon's actions, Silver flicked his dagger like eyes to Avila. " Might is right."
Pokemon Battle! Weather: None in effect. Silver's Croconaw |level 18| HP: 35/56 Status: Normal Used: Bite Avila's Aphrodite|Level 19| HP: 37/63 Status: Normal Used: Razor Shell OOC: Another apology for using this template, Tarlar. I don't usually copy and paste but i'm keen to get through getting people replies as quick as possible after work was so tiring today.

Avila knew that slowly hacking away at the Croconaw would not be its downfall, she needed a quick one hit ko in order to make her prove her point towards Silver. yes she had strength on her side but it was her compassion with her pokemon, as her family had always told before her. They had loved dragons and therefore dragons understood this in return. But she felt like telling this to Silver would be a waste of time, dragon pokemon were likely not going to appear in this journey so early. Since she had only just begun it but when she did receive her first pokemon she would not be afraid to show its might towards Silver in the near future. She winced, seeing Aphrodite being attacked by Croconaw's bite. She almost thought right then and there to grab Chloe's pokeball to finish this off now, but no she'd wait around possibly two or one more turns before switching her out. She wanted to show Silver that there was a strategy behind what she was doing.
"Strength is pretty important, but it is not the answer for pokemon all the time. You need to think about strategy and finding away around tough obstacles. Think running head first into a brick wall is the best way to go? I mean, I wouldn't try it." She said with a slight sarcasim in her voice as she looked back at Silver. "Sometimes I really do wonder what goes on in your head. You think pure strength is going to win battles for you?" Avila asked knowing that all people had their side towards their look on certain things even battling in strength. Falkner had just lost due to luck that was on her side and the quick thinking of her pokemon. "Now Aphrodite one more Razor shell, try to hit him hard again!" She called out a she gripped Chloe's pokeball once Croconaw started to gasp and wheeze showing that he was getting tired Chloe's refreshing pokemon would come out next. Of course she was also worried for Aphrodite, how long could the Dewott go before collapsing?
Aphrodite's turn came around once more as she dashed forward. Yes this seemed a little bit repetitive, but she trusted Avila. She had come a long way since she had been a little Oshawott which had been some time ago. The young Dewott rushed forward on her nimble feet and took the familiar razor sharp like shell from her hips again. And once again, didn't hold anything back. This Croconaw was going to be taught a lesson.
Ooc: Note next turn, after Aphrodite uses another Razor shell, I'm going to swap out to Chole(Servine) so hopefully that'll already be a heads up.
