It had taken many an hour and several back tracks in order for Catherine to see the light of day once again. Atlas had since slumped over her shoulder, fast asleep after all the exploring. Held tight in her arms was the Rufflet Egg the two had discovered and naturally, Catherine had grown quite attached with it already. Stepping out into the darkness of the evening, the girl took in a deep breath, eyes scanning the short route and neighbouring town close by. "Ahh, this place looks so small and the forest is everywhere." Taking in the sight of the surrounding woodland, one other thing Catherine couldn't quite help but pick up on was the heat. Luckily it was the evening and the night sky had cooled the area down some. Picking up her pace, the girl rushed through the area in order to get to the nearest Pokemon Centre. Questioning about the Rufflet Egg was the first thing she mentioned as the nurse took her Pokemon in to be healed but sadly, there was no news on a missing egg.
For now, Catherine decided to get a room and have a good nights sleep for once. Tossing and turning during the night, the heat she felt from earlier started to rise yet again, the air conditioning in the building not doing well in fending off the blazing temperatures. Waking up early the next morning, refreshing herself and eating a breakfast, Catherine grabbed her belongings and stepped back out into Azalea Town. A blast of warmth hitting her, Atlas was atleast in his element. "UURGH! Why is it soooooooo hot?!" Leaving her cloak back in her room and hoping to feel some sort of breeze on her shoulders, the nurse was let down in the fact that this was going to be a painfully hot training session in the great outdoors. She was even starting to feel the palm of her hands sweating, meaning she had to pay double attention so that she didn't drop the egg she had found. Stepping out of town to have a closer inspection of the nearby route with plenty of water bottles on hand, Catherine panted irritatedly as heat was the only thing on her mind.

Azalea during the Summer seasons could be painfully hot however, matters really weren't relaxed by the fact that the region was experiencing a drought inspiring heat wave that gripped with a fiery hold. The deadness in the air caused by the heat was evident to see. People were hanging around aimlessly as they tried to remain as motionless as possible to try stave off any heat their own bodies would produce. Even the green and vegetation that engulfed the whole of Azalea seemed to wilt with how hot it was. Harmony itself was completely out of kilter. This sweltering turbulence was enough to even put out of balance all the surrounding areas of Azalea. Hiking, or at least, attempting to hike, was a rather large, portly fellow who was huffing and puffing as he sweated bullets. He had been unprepared for the taxing weather conditions and had geared up specifically for hiking to the top of chilly mountains. His numerous layers, scarf and other warm, thermal gear was making him glow a visible red. Trying to raise his arm to secure himself a step on the top of Union Cave, he watched as he had barely any energy to start his hike. Slumping to the side of the cave exterior, he sighed. "Hooo... Stupid ol' me, hooo..." Breathing heavily, he couldn't help but notice as he saw Catherine walk by absent mindedly. Perking up, his eyes fell to the remarkable egg she was holding onto. Furrowing his brow as if puzzled, the hiking man appeared to connect the dots and realise he had actually seen this special egg somewhere before. "Hooo.. Wait up, lil' lady!" Huffing and puffing as he clambered over, he doubled over, propping himself up on his legs. "I... Ahh... Hoo... Was... Wonderin'... Something... Phew..." Wiping sweat from his brow, he stood up and gasped. "So hot... Anyway lil' lady... That egg..." Untightening his scarf, the hiker carried on albeit at a deathly slow pace. "Know... What they are... Phew? I saw... Loads on top of Union Cave." Pointing back in the general direction, it appeared that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. "Anyway... Hoo... They say... Battles calm people down to relax... Hoooo! Wanna try it...? Phew..." Standing back, Anthony seemed rather intent on following this sage bit of advice he had heard. "Go.. Geodude... Phew..." As the ball split in two, mid air having left his hand, a stony foe met Catherine. Amazingly, even this beast of rock was... SWEATING?! "So hot... Hooo boy..." Trainer Encounter
Hiker Anthony demands a battle! He sends forth Geodude (Level 11), who is... Sweating?! Please select a Pokémon for battle. Sunny Day will be in effect.

( OOC: lmaoomgjoeasdfghj-- And yeah, not sure what the weather is here now but it was in a Heat Wave like, 9 months ago haha ;__; )
Catherine, herself, hadn't even noticed the huge male walk past her. The blonde's emerald green eyes were practically glazed over, she was like a zombie in this heat. Arms still wrapped tightly around the oddly coloured egg, she grunted irritatedly as Atlas climbed upon her egg. "Urgh, Atlaaaaaas. Help me, the sun is trying to kill me. I love the sun but today is just too...much!" For once, however, the grass monkey wore a smile on his face. Feeling the warmth of the sun touch his body was the most relaxing thing he had felt in a long time. Whilst he loved his trainer, the mess they constantly got in often kept him on edge. But today was going to be a day of rest, he was sure of it.
"Maybe if I pretend to like the sun I'll get used to it I mean I doubt it but the sun isn't going to just go away there isn't a cloud in the sky my feet hurt so much and was my dress always this heavy--huh?" Rambling on to herself, the sound of a distressed male finally caught her attention, after much of his calling. Turning with little interest at first, her dead pan eyes were quick to twinkle with life once again. "M-Mister, are you alright?!" The amount of layers he wore almost made Catherine feel ten times hotter, how could this man survive in the heat wearing so much?! Sensing that he was struggling, there was only one thing she could do at this point. Very carefully reaching in her bag for a spare bottle of water, she tried to balance the egg in her sweaty palm. Luckily the manoeuvre was successful, her spare hand grasping the still cool bottle reaching over to him, "Here, drink this! If you get all hot and dehydrated, you'll faint!"
Once he had a bit of breath back, Catherine's ears perked up with a rather interesting bit of news. This man had seen a whole nest of eggs! "H-Huh? You saw an egg just like this one?" Looking down and back up again, she managed a smile, "This is a Rufflet egg! They come from Unova!... So it's very strange that there is a nest at the top of the mountain, I wonder if I should climb up there and return it.." Trailing off, she was taken off guard as he rather politely challenged her to a battle. Blinking her lashes slowly, she certainly wasn't going to say no. After all, training was what she was here for, heat or not. Nodding energetically, Catherine appeared to get her usual self back, "Yep! I would never turn down a Pokemon battle!" Turning on the spot, she dashed back a little in order to make a good battling space between them. Face grinning with glee, she bounced in order to alert the relaxing Pansage on her head, who hadn't even realised that they had met a trainer.
"Atlas! ATLAS! I CHOOSE YOU!" Catherine called, using a hand to poke at the grass monkey and pluck him off from her head. Eyes a little dazed from being woken so abruptly, he shrilled with fear upon realising what was going on. No, today wasn't going to be a calm day. Glancing back to Catherine with a pleading look as if not wanting to battle, the young nurse smiled warmly to her partner, "You need to be strong, Atlas. For when we meet Pro again. C'mon, you can do this, you have the advantage!" Wearily looking over to the sweating Geodude, Atlas shuddered at the sight of the rocky Pokemon. Nervously climbing down Catherine's arm and waddling onto the grass, it was clear to see the monkey was shaking. "It's okay Atlas, I'll return you if things get rough!" Hoping to make him feel a little more comfortable with himself, she felt it necessary for him to complete this fight on his own. "Atlas! Start off with one of you whippy Vine Whips! Snappity snap!"

"Phew, thanks for the water lady," the climber spoke after cooling himself with the lady's water bottle. "You're a generous person. I knew I should have packed more water, but my bag was already full!"He listened to her replies, and was glad that the battle would begin. "Geodude, start with a tackle! Hopefully this battle would cool both of us in this weather, huh?"Being made of mostly rocks, the Geodude was no match for the quicker mammal grass monkey. For the lesser confident Pansage, he finally obliged to his trainer's encouragement and went toward the rock Pokemon with his powerful tail. The Pokemon's tail glowed a dim green light, and Atlas bravely whipped the rock Pokemon into rubble. Little did he know, the damage was devastating to the opponent, and the Geodude could felt the contact cracked some of his defensive rocks. Well, almost a rubble. The Geodude took advantage of this close distane and grabbed the monkey. Atlas panicked a little and had his body attacked by a floating rock face monster. The Geodude grabbed the monkey tightly with his short arms, and then proceeded to hit the opponent's body with its rocky body. Much to the rock Pokemon's dismay, the attack had little damage. Though Pansage could feel the uncomfortable sweats contacting his body. Ewwwww. After watching the first round of battle and cooling himself with the water, he began talking about the Rufflet egg again, "A Rufflet?-- Phew!--" he took a breath, thinking, "I am not sure if it even was a Rufflet egg, I have heard about Unova before. Some Pokemon's eggs look similar, let me think about this..." He wondered to himself if what he saw was really a Rufflet egg or another Pokemon. He might have been too sweaty and exhausted to remember accurately. Now he felt embarrassed for mistaking the Pokemon egg though. What did that egg look like again?
The battle is ongoing! The weather is pretty hot! Anthony's Geodude- Level 11 6/33Geodude used a successful Tackle! Atlas the Pansage- Level 13 31/40Atlas used a successful Vine Whip! Atlas used Vine Whip! It's super effective! Vine Whip dealt 27 damages to Geodude! Geodude used Tackle! Tackle dealt 9 damages to Atlas! OOC: so I'm not sure if you already included the word count for the egg in your post or not, and I just want to ask, yeah.

Making a sigh of relief as the Hiker gulped down the water she had handed him, the young blonde was just grateful that she didn't need to dash back to the Pokemon Centre in Azalea to report a fainting. Not many trainers were as overly prepared or cautious as Catherine when it came travelling supplies but she was certainly shocked that such a heavy clad man hadn't brought extra drinks with him. Well, the heat wave had hit them practically over night so it was'nt entirely his vault. Still, she wore a smile about as warm as the heat which enveloped them, replying back to him happily, "I'm glad I caught you when I did! I heard that this heat wave will be around for a while." Clapping her hands together all of a sudden, she pointed a finger to him, "After this, hurry back to the Pokemon Centre in Azalea to stock up for any climbing, alright? It could be dangerous if you go unprepared!" Unsure how a grown man would take being bossed around by a young teen, she merely smiled it off. She only cared for his safety, afterll.
Keeping an eye on the battle at hand, Catherine simply smiled as her nervous grass type took the battle head on. Despite his clear uneasiness, the Pansage pulled through, landing a clean Vine Whip against the rocky opponent. "Nice hit, Atlas! Just keep on focusing, just like that!" Making a rather pitiful attempt at a smile back to his trainer, his head turned to the sight of the rocky Pokemon lunging for him in the shape of a tackle. Grimacing ever so slightly as it collided with Atlas, he appeared to stagger back up to his feet easy enough, more upset by the fact that the Geodude had splashed it's sweat all over the monkey. Luckily he had time to wearily wipe himself down as the talk of the Pokemon egg in her arms continued. "Unova is waaaaaaaay away! I would be truly, honestly, superdy-duperdy surprised if a Braviary was living on top of the mountain!" Tilting her head back to look past the tree line to the edge of the rocky cave before them, she shrugged her shoulders, "But it isn't impossible!" Feeling even more excited to find out if the egg had came from the mountain after all, she swiftly turned back to her Pansage.
Somewhat dried off and ready to go, the monkey moved it's legs into a dashing stance, eyes narrowing somewhat with his ears pricked right up as he waited for his command. The quicker he could finish this sweaty rock off, the better. "Okay Atlas, land another Vine Whip!"

"Phooo!" the man exhaled, still trying to catch his breath after being in the heatwave too long and having his body feeling dehydrated for so long. "Ma'am, just because my supplies aren't prepared for today, it doesn't mean that my spirit is not prepared for this battle, right? My Geodude and I aren't giving up yet! Give the Pansage a Tackle again!" The man added, wiping his sweat form his forehead, and then again wiping his palm-sweat on his pants. "Geodude!" the Pokemon raised both of its arms to agree with its trainer. "Wow!" he responded as he heard Catherine's hope to find out if his Pokemon egg came from that far away. "I have no idea! The most I have heard about Unova was hiking the mountains when I swap stories with some traveling hikers. They usually talk about the Pokemon and region there, but if there was something about Rufflet, I probably don't remember." he recalled his encounters with his hikers friends and acquaintances. Then, he panted a few more times, and sipping a bit of that water. He smiled with a struggled look on his face, "Phew! It's hard to talk in this weather, aye?""Alright, Geodude, go for another Tackle!" he ordered his Pokemon as he tried to regulate his own breathing, by slowly and calmly saying his words and also listening to himself breathe. Then, as the two humans watched, the rock type was moving in for a tackle, but only to be instantly stopped by the type-advantaged Pansage. His tail glowing like a vine, and then whacked the sweat off of the Geodude. In an instant the hiker's Pokemon fainted on the field. "Good job, Geodude! And thanks again for the water bottle!" he huffed as he recalled his Pokemon. Then, he tossed a second Pokeball, "I've got one more for you Ma'am! Go, Machop!"
Weather: still sunny Atlas gained 2 levels for defeating Geodude! Now level 15! He gained 1 happiness! Now +3 Hiker Anthony sent out (Level 11) Machop!

Swaying childishly from side to side, Catherine was truly enjoying this battling experience. It had been a while since she had faced a trainer, even more so of one which actually put up a good fight. The Hiker's Geodude was tough and sturdy, even in this intense heat. Giggling somewhat as the man exclaimed about having a second Pokemon anyway, it seemed to perked up Catherine rather than bring her down. "That's right! We can't let this silly heat beat us! Fight on! Fight ON!" Making a cheering pose as she flung her hand into the air happily, it was unclear if she was just childish or the heat was getting to her. Regardless, she quickly calmed down as she felt the egg in her second arm slip ever so slightly. Repositioning both the egg and herself, she made an over exaggerated sigh, "Phwoar, that was a close one." she mumbled to herself.
Listening intently as the Hiker spoke of having little knowledge of Unova, she smiled ever so gently at him. Many who she had encountered hadn't heard of her homeland and whilst she found it somewhat sad, she could also understand due to it being so far away. "Well, whatever pops out, I'm gonna love it loads!" Rubbing the egg hurriedly as if urging it to hatch, she paused as he seemed to be overexerting himself, mentioning that the heat was making it a little difficult to talk. Slouching her shoulders slightly, she looked worried, "It's okay, mister! Atleast there are loads of trees to shelter us here. I bet in different areas it is even HOTTER!" True enough, the whole of Azalea and the nearby routes were surrounded in a thick forest. Whilst they were fighting in a clearing, there were still many trees close by which shielded them from the pure force of the intense heat raging on.
Whilst all the casual talking was going on, poor Atlas was struggling in the heat. He was a grass type who loved the sun but this was too much. Well, maybe it was more the sweat of other Pokemon rather than the heat itself. Still, he clearly wasn't enjoying himself and would rather the heat just end. Whipping his leafy tail and taking the Geodude out, he grimaced upon the Hiker pulling out another Pokeball. "Another Geodude?!" Catherine questioned cheerfully, only to realise that it was infact a Machop. Jaw dropping at the sight of the muscled body of the Machop, Atlas looked wearily back to his trainer, he had quite literally had enough muscly, sweaty action from this battle as it was. "Hmmmmmmm." Catherine pondered her moved, "Nope! Hang in there Atlas!" Slumping wearily to the floor, he was about to pick himself up in order to prepare, when she suddenly called out again, "OH! OOOH! WAIT WAIT! ONE SECOND!"
Rummaging around in her bag, she brought out a different Pokeball, much to Atlas' glee. "Come back for now, Atlas!" He didn't have to be told twice, that was for sure. Prancing with the most energy he had for a while, he quickly hid behind Catherine, collapsing lazily in her shadow to cool himself down. Meanwhile, Catherine had throw her own Pokeball, releasing an odd, pink, floating Pokemon. Yawning tiredly to herself, the Munna could sense that she had been summoned to battle but merely remained hovering. "Marzena, Marzena! Use Psybeam on that Machop, okay?!" Letting out yet another tired yawn to prove that she was listening, the Munna floated forward, keeping her eyes closed as if to say she wasn't taking this all too seriously.

"That's great, Ma'am! In fact, that's right for a trainer! Whatever pops out of the egg, you should be raising the Pokemon and nurturing it with care because you've already cared for it when it goes from egg to popped!" the hiker struggled for a smile, even in this blazing heat. Though this weather makes any sort of emotion difficult to express on the face besides "Oh My Zapdos please rain please please please!". When Catherine mentioned of the trees, he had an epiphany. "Oh yes, yes. The trees! I will probably rest in the shade for a bit and then go stock up like you said. This heat and dense amount of trees is perfect for a lot of Pokemon. I've always wonder how Bugsy could handle the weather in Azalea!" He chuckled to himself as he sidetracked on the gym leader of this town. He let out another laugh as she mused about another Geodude. "No, It's a Machop! Most hikers seemed to used either Machop or Geodude evolution lines Pokemon. It's our favorite! Sometimes I get to fight other Pokemon trainer with my own Machop in a Machop versus Machop fight! It's a fun pass time."Then, at first as if knowing what the girl was doing, he almost thought he was gone when Catherine switched to a different Pokemon. However, what is a Munna? Next thing he knew, the Munna knew Psybeam, a quite common move that he knows about. "Hang in there, Machop, and use Focus Energy!"The battle was soon over with that. The Machop tensed its body as it focused itself for the battle, only to be impaled in the head by a strange psychic wave. The Munna yawned again, and then her eyes released a strange beam toward the Machop. The fighting type passed out on the ground in one hit. "So, it must be a psychic type? From Unova? That's a first!" he chuckled embarassedly at his lost. "Now I have another story to tell my friends! Thank you Ma'am for your water and this battle. I'll go ahead and rest in the shade over there--" he pointed, "--and then I'll head back to town in a bit. Here's your prize money and wish you luck on your egg!"
Machop fainted from Psybeam! Atlas gained 1 level for participation, now level 16! Happiness +1, now +4! Atlas wants to learn Leech Seed, delete a move? Marzena gained 1 level and is now level 20! Happiness +1, now +2! Catherine gained 352 Pokedollar for defeating Hiker Anthony! (updated) OOC: im just curious, can you still update money now or no? I never got the reply back so I never knew... As the battle continued to unfold, it appeared that the end was nearing. Although a bit ditsy and energetic despite this crazy heat, if there was one thing Catherine was proud of, it was her knowledge of Pokemon. Whilst she didn't know every little thing, she believed that she knew a majority of Pokemon names and types, it was just using this knowledge to her advantage which is where things would go either way. Either her childish personality would take over and would believe she could win on the power of friendship alone or she would use her head and realise that type advantages are the best way to go. Luckily, she had just pulled her Pansage out of a close call. Whilst he wasn't weak, he wouldn't of particularly excelled either. For atleast a while he could now relaxed, sprawled across the grassy floor as he took in the warming sun rays which brought life back into his weakened body.
Giving a nurturing rub to the egg in her arms, Catherine's beaming grin almost rivalled that of the beaming sun in the sky at the hiker's kind words. She liked it when she met kind people who shared her thoughts, "Uh huh! That's really true! Heehee, I really love Pokemon. If I could, I would help raise eggs ALL the time! But first, I have a different goal... To be a Pokemon Nurse!" If it was clear or not from her over dramatic sense of dress, it was atleast obvious that certain patches of her clothes adorned a red, healing cross symbol. "I wanna travel the world and heal Pokemon all over! Someone has to trek through forests, climb mountains and swim the seas in order to get to sick Pokemon and that's gonna be me!" Saying this with a sense of pride, the pure honesty and innocence of this girl was almost heart warming, not that either of them needed anymore heat considering what they were stood in!
With the next stage of the battle being between a Munna and Machop, Catherine looked on in anticipation. Marzena was one of her stronger Pokemon so she had faith in that fact alone, more so than the type advantage part. She couldn't help but comment on the Machop as it being to focus it's energy, "Woah! Look at those bulging muscles! Heehee! I can see why Hikers WOULD travel with Geodude and Machop, they are both so cool looking and strong, I best they would be amazing partners to have! Yours is no exception either, look at him beefing up!" As she spoke, the Machop was busy tensing up his body but it ended up being useless. The single beam shot from Marzena caused him to faint straight away, a one hit knock out. Upon seeing this, Catherine made an energetic cheer, Atlas moaning miserably as her shadow moved off of him whilst she bounced around in glee.
Approaching the chuckling Hiker, Catherine's eyes beamed up at him. Although she had just had her little moment, she was by no means a person who would rub a loss in other people's faces. She was just purely happy for the fun of it, "Thank you for the battle, Mister! Your Pokemon are really strong, it must be all that climbing up do!" Accepting the money and nodding at his words, Catherine turned as he began to move away, "Goodbye Mister, take care! If we meet again be sure to say hello!" Waving her arm around in the air until he disappeared from sight, Catherine turned to her team. Kneeling down to Atlas' level, Marzena floated down lazily too, "You both did great! You are so strong! Sometime soon maybe we can face Bugsy, just like we did Falkner!" Atlas shuddering at this fact, Marzena merely shuffled about in the air. Raising a Pokeball, Catherine decided it to be best to withdraw her for now, "Have a nice rest, Marzena! I'll call you if we need help again!"
Pocketing the Pokeball, she then turned to Atlas. Offering him a hand, she smiled gently, "And you did great too, Atlas. See? There is no need to be scared. I know you got hit but you hung in there and won! I'm proud of you." Remaining quiet, Atlas looked away as if shy, scratching his cheek as he made a dopey smile. Maybe she was right? Climbing back up to her shoulder as if to signify he was okay to carry on, Catherine stood back up to her feet and continued to trek down the route. "Heehee, let's see what else we can find out here then!"

As the gentle nurse and her green monkey continued down route 33, everything seemed quiet at first. There were some trees rustling in the background, but it was probably caused by Pokemon shuffling about, or fleeing at the sight of humans. Atlas, though, was a bit anxious about something... He mumbled and seemed to look up the sky every now and then, while holding his balance on her shoulder. As they were walking on, the route seemed to be covered in fog. What seemed to be sunny earlier was blanketed by a moving spring air, masking the inhabitants of the route in a shroud of foggy mass. Deeper into the fog, the more fidgety Atlas got. Suddenly, a Pokemon hopped down from the tree branch above! So that was what ticked Atlas off! Perhaps he has sensitive ears!? A tan bodied, furry Pokemon stood confidently in front of the two, not yielding or fleeing as they were moving closer. It looked determined, as if challenging the trainer to a fight.
A (Level 11) Mankey challengeed you to a battle! Weather= Fog! (OOC: ok so Atlas is not learning Leech Seed right? And my science is probably wrong on the weather formation lol.)

Tightening her grip around the Pokemon egg, Catherine felt a slight frown form on her brow as her nose twitched a little. Stopping her progression, she found herself standing in the middle of a cleared area, looking up through a gap in the trees all whilst looking puzzled. "The weather is changing?" Being from Lacunosa in Unova, Catherine had learnt to become quite sensitive to the change of weather. Not so much heat but times when it became unnaturally cold. The ever looming threat of Kyurem would plague her mind and if the air ever chilled, fear would always follow. But she knew that she was safe in Johto, or atleast, she hoped so. "Atlas, stay close to me, okay? I have a feeling something is going to happen." Sure enough, the intense heat from merely moments ago had cooled down dramatically. The once blazing summer sun now falling to a much bearable, almost spring like temperature, one that actually made her shiver her shoulders somewhat. It was typical that the one time she left her cape behind, it would be when the weather began to change. But it wasn't just Catherine who had become sensitive to this sudden change, Atlas also looked bemused. Clinging tighter to her shoulder, they both jumped as something else began to happen.
The very air around the pair enveloped them into a thick fog, so much so that it was becoming difficult to look ahead. Starting to panic a little, Catherine was a far cry from her usual energetic personality. Picking up on this, Atlas began to tap her rapidly on the shoulder, "C-Catherine! W-We should g-go! It isn't s-safe in this fo-fo-fog!" Turning her head ever so slightly, she shook it from side to side. She couldn't understand the shrieks from the Pansage but knowing that he was naturally a bit of a scaredy cat, she wanted to push onward. She also wanted to try and shrug off her own fear of Kyurem and prove to herself that it wasn't the cause of this sudden fog. "No, Atlas. We gotta carry on! We're on a journey so if it is sunny, raining, snowing or even all foggy like this, we just gotta goooo!" Regaining a smile, she tilted her head to one side, "Besides! The fog is so thick now, we wont be able to make it back to Azalea anyway. We'd just get even more lost!" Rubbing a hand across his face, the Pansage sighed tiredly. She was right. Catherine couldn't even follow a dirt path without getting lost so even if he wanted to go back to safety, there was no chance now. Instead, the duo had to stick it out.
Pressing on, albeit even more cautiously with her footing, the last thing Catherine needed was to fall head over heels on a few rocks and end up smashing the egg open early. The thought was unbearable, blasphemy! With her focus on her footing and the egg, it was primarily up to Atlas to pin point any sudden movements. But there were a lot of them. Looking around frantically as his hyper sensitive ears picked up on every little movement, it was a particular one that really stuck out to him. Looking upward and trying to squint his eyes to see better in the fog, he could tell that something was lurking nearby. Stalking even, in the trees above. His tail sticking up and mouth letting out a horrified shriek directly down Catherine's ear, he stopped her just in the nick of time from walking straight into this wild creature. "W-WOAH!" The young nurse staggered back, upon noticing something close by. "Is that..." Squinting her eyes as Atlas did, the wild Pokemon crept forward some more. It was also quite ape like, with a cute snout and fluffy body, she didn't really take into account it's threatening glare, "A Mankey!"
Suddenly becoming a bit more excited, she gave her shoulder a firm budge, shaking some sense into the worried Atlas, "I know it's foggy but let's give it a shot! Atlas, I choose you!" Shaking, he slid his way down Catherine's arm, moving awkwardly in front of her. He really didn't want to do this. "Start things off with Covet, Atlas!"

Time and time again Atlas had been placed into situations he would have rather avoided thanks to the wiles of his trainer, Catherine. However, despite his reluctance, the grass monkey was ready to rise to the challenge. in a situation like this, Atlas could hardly let his trainer fall victim to a wild Pokemon attack. Maybe if they had a little tussle they could all just go home and have a nice cup of cocoa to warm themselves up from this chilly fog. Sporting its determined gaze, the Mankey appeared to get agitated further as its line of sight wasn't enough to deter the trainer and their Pokemon. It had been annoyed anyway waking up to find the route was blanketed in a thick fog. That was the last straw. Starting to fling its arms up and down angrily at the ground, the Mankey let out a vicious shriek as it assumed a fighting position. As quick as it was to begin the fight, it appeared the other monkey was the more lithe of the two. Hurriedly taking in Catherine's order, Atlas swung forward to where Mankey was located. Pretending to act all shy and bashful, the Mankey appeared to have steam pouring out of his ears as he lost his mind over Atlas trying to play all cutesy. If there was one thing the pig monkey hated, it was cuteness. Having riled him up much more than anticipated, Atlas followed through with the second part of his attack in panic. Dabbing out with his fist, the monkey made a quick retreat as he bounded back to Catherine. Covet never usually had that affect on enemies. Screeching with sheer hatred, the Mankey went flying forwards in the air with a leap. Crashing down before Atlas with a thud, the Mankey made a quick assessment of his surroundings before being assured that his target was in front of him. Letting out a brutally vicious scratch of his nails, Atlas veered backwards with a yelp. Despite having succeeded with the attack, the wild Mankey was still up on Atlas' side of the field! Catherine wore a beaming grin, completely aware of Atlas' disinterest to battle at all. She was in no way malicious to her Pokemon, her intentions were pure in the fact that she only wanted Atlas to become more confident in his abilities. Out of every Pokemon she had captured, he was the only on to stagger at the idea of a fight. Not the she didn't like this, she knew each Pokemon was different, very similar to how people were but she was stubborn in the fact that she wanted her partner to grow past this phase. "You can do it, Atlas! I believe in you!" Cheering with a wave of her hands, she came across as aloof and childish but she was always ready to withdraw a team mate if a battle looked bleak. Knowing full well that Atlas could manage this, she didn't even have a shred of worry. "Just try your best! I know you'll win big!" Beginning to clap to urge him forth, she suddenly burst into a cheer as Atlas begrudgingly moved toward the angry ape.
Eyes flinching in fear as the Mankey began to wave it's arms around and shriek, Atlas instinctively hid underneath his arms whilst Catherine still bore a smile, "Woah! Listen to the set of lungs on THAT!" Watching as the Mankey then moved into it's fighting stance, the young nurse cupped her hands around her mouth to try and pry Atlas from his defensive pose, "The Mankey is ready! I repeat! The Mankey is ready!" She blurted out, similar to a robotic warning from a reversing van, "Up and at em, Atlas!" Shaking as he lowered his arms, he wore a dopey smile as he pulled off his attack. Only, whilst Catherine would describe his movements as adorable, the Mankey clearly disagreed. Falling into a state of absolute rage, the primate lashed out at Atlas in the fog. Aware of the fact they were coming closer, Catherine reached a hand into her bag for something. Pulling out a shiny sphere, she stood beside Atlas protectively and pulled her arm back, "ONE, TWO, THREE~ YOU'RE GONNA COME WITH ME!~" Shouting out in a strange, song like way, she threw an empty Pokeball with all her might, despite the Pokemon actually standing quite close.

In less than ten seconds, the Pokeball went flying upward, only to be drawn by gravity and going downward. In even less than five seconds, the Pokeball "sensed" the weakened Mankey, and absorbed it in a strange beam of light. The wild Mankey disappeared from the foggy wilderness, and entered into the Pokeball. The Pokeball rolled to the right once... The Pokeball rolled to the left, to the left, and rocked back to the right... CONGRATULATIONS! The wild Mankey was caught in the confined of the Pokeball. The fighting type knew his fate, and now it took a deep breath inside the Pokeball, to accept its new fate. The Mankey knew that it's gonna come with Catherine. Also, whatever that had agitated the Mankey seemed to be soothed by the intense moment of capture. The Pokeball remained motionless on the soft soil, blanketed by the moist fog. Soon, the vapor condensed on the Pokeball. The capture device was ready to be reclaimed by the aspiring nurse.
Atlas gained 1 level for defeating the Mankey! Now level 17! He gained 1 happiness! Now +5! The wild Mankey is successfully captured! Weather Status: Fog
Watching bright eyed as the ball shook in the dense fog, Catherine's dilated pupils moved from left to right, in time with the rocking Pokeball. Atlas too was also absorbed in it's movements, jaw dropping somewhat as he hoped the Mankey would just give in so that he didn't have to carry on with the battle anymore. Luckily for Atlas, his prayers were about to be heard. The movement stopping and signalling it's capture with a delicate ting, Catherine stepped over Atlas and reached down for the Pokeball. Looking at it cheerful, she held the ball into the air, "I got a Mankey!" She cried out loud for the world to hear, jumping up and down on the spot whilst Atlas regained his balance. Looking almost disheartened at the idea of being replaced with a stronger ape, Catherine was about to quell his worries. Clipping the ball onto her belt, she knelt down and scooped Atlas into the air, wrapping her delicate hands under his arms and around his body. "Thank you, Atlas! You did it!" Scratching his cheek shyly, her smile radiated through the fog, "Now I know you can do it! I'll be relying on you much more in the future!" Somewhat aware of Catherine's own fears and dislikes, a much gentle smile spread across her cheeks. "Let's both become strong."
Merely looking down at her as he was still up in the air, he nodded calmly, being brought back down her level and ushered onto her shoulder. Taking a few steps forward, she was about to continue with her travels when a large grumble echoed through the silence. Both of them jumped out of their skin, Catherine moving into some strange kung fu styled pose whilst Atlas hid under her locks of hair. Erupting with a grumble again, Catherine blinked, looking down only to realise it was her own stomach. "I sure am hungry!" Flailing off her shoulder animatedly, the Pansage loosened his tense muscles, pointing to Catherine whilst chirping away, "Y-You didn't e-eat enough! You were t-too worried about the e-egg!" Knowing fully well that she was being told off, the young blonde sighed overexaggeratedly as one would if they were opposing their parents. Looking from left to right, she pondered on what she should do. "Carry on exploring or head back for food?" Being of equal priority to Catherine, she wasn't entirely sure but Atlas knew an excuse to stop fighting when he saw one. Slumping weakly over her shoulder, the Pansage gave out a pitiful cry before closing his eyes. "Huh? Whats that? You got scratched so hard by the angry Mankey that now you just wanna eat a huge pile of Oran berries whilst drinking a nice, warm mug of hot chocolate and falling asleep in front of a big, open fireplace?" Lifting his head with a perplexed eyebrow, he wondered how she had gotten to that conclusion with a grunt alone. Shrugging his shoulders, she was close enough. Nodding tiredly before feigning sleep, her next path was chosen.
"Right then! Back to Azalea we go! L-Let's see!"
It felt like hours since Catherine had said those words as she navigated through the thick fog. By then, Atlas had truly fallen asleep over her shoulder, leaving her all alone. She hadn't bumped into a single Pokemon but maybe that was because they could see her from a distance, walking around in the same circle over and over again. "I... I cant find Azalea! I'll be stuck in the fog forever!" Mock sobbing, she decided to take a different turn... Miraculously spotting a fog light in the distance. Eyes opening and jaw dropping, she suddenly picked up into a running pace, startling Atlas into waking up. "haven. Haven. HAVEN. A SAFETY HAVEN." With each step, more lights began to appearing until she was finally back into the safety of Azalea Town. "AZALEAAAA!" She cried theatrically, throwing her arms into the air and shouting into the sky. With a hop, skip and a jump, she dashed into the warmth of a Pokemon Centre, moving into the room she had been allocated during her stay in the town, she quickly gathered her Pokemon together and as a group, began to eat away at whatever food they had. In the end, Catherine decided to call it quits for that day and spent the rest of the evening with her team mates before falling to sleep.
As morning came back around, Catherine wasn't awoken by the bright beams of the Spring sun on her face. Instead, her sleepy eyes were welcomed with the sight of yet more fog as they peered out of the window. "Ooh phooey! Why is it so foggy!" Getting ready and eating properly, she wasn't going to let this day go to waste especially as a memory hit her. From recently meeting a rough biker named Joey, he had warned her of the lurking danger that was Team Rocket. She had passed the Well which was said to have Slowpoke Tail cuttings going on but she wasn't ready to investigate yet. Keeping her promise to him, she had vowed to get a bit stronger before going head first into trouble. With that, she had swapped her team around somewhat. Wanting to form a stronger bond with her newest addition, Yumina, she also picked out a Pokemon that would help her navigate through the fog. Deciding to keep the energetic Happiny safe in her Pokeball in fear of losing her in the dense fog, Catherine instead stepped out of the building with a different Pokeball in hand.
Somewhat remembering the encounter, Atlas was fearful of how this new Pokemon would act. "Come on out, [Nosepass]!" Luminated by the cities lights, the Pokeballs beam erupted and merged into a shape which came to around Catherine's shoulders in height. The easiest way of describing what was in front of her was a boulder with a nose. Looking hopeful, Catherine was aware with Nosepass' compass like abilities. "With you, we'll never get lost again!" She stated proudly, Atlas nodding slowly in return as if agreeing. Taking a step forward, she ushered her Nosepass to walk beside her. "C'mon! I bet you were stuck in that cave forever! It's a bit foggy but lets explore together!" Walking on ahead, the Nosepass remained in the same spot before jumping after her.

OOC: Leaving Mankey info blank.
I have put [Nosepass] because I am not sure about a nickname yet but I'll probably be back later to edit one in.
Switched party; Munna and Croconaw have been switched for Nosepass and Happiny. Happiny has been given Oval Stone.
