With the Nosepass following behind her, now Catherine was ready to be on her way to Azalea Town. The ability of Nosepass to isolate north pole came in handy to navigation, even outside of battle. Now the young aspiring nurse won't be deterred by the confusing fog. Following onward, the fog didn't seem to diffuse or fade away. However, many wild Pokemon definitely take advantage of the fog to move away from the trainer before she could see them. Rustling of the grass or feet climbing up a tree could be heard. Before the Pokemon could be identified, they just seem to hide away. However, out there in the middle of the path was a lone Pokemon. Its eyes were closed and focused. Its legs were bent and crossed, and arms wide open in the air. As Catherine got closer, the Pokemon was floating! In a scary(?) instance, it opened its eyes and stopped floating, landing on its feet. It greeted Catherine with a readied "Meditite!" with its arm on the side and bowed, perhaps something it learned from humans without understanding what they're doing.

Stepping cautiously through the fog, it was easy to see that Catherine was displeased with this weather. It could've been raining, snowing or even thundering and she would've continued to explore but this fog made seeing so difficult. Looking all around with squinted eyes, she wasn't even sure if she had completely left Azalea Town yet. "Go away, foggy fog. I want to train with my team!" She randomly blurted out, causing both Atlas and even the trailing Nosepass to jump in surprise. Childishly trying to blow away the fog before her with a push of air puffed out of her lips and even waving her arm around in front of her, she refused to let this day feel like a waste. Clinging onto the Rufflet egg still, she turned her head to Atlas, "The fog feels even thicker today, huh? Should we go back to that cave?" Shaking his head rapidly, the sound of either fog or going through a cave both sounded bad. If it were up to him, he would just sleep for another day to see if it moved on by then instead. Sighing, the blonde agreed, she wasn't particularly fond of the darkness in the cave either.
Taking one step at a time and not rushing ahead for once, a small figure suddenly came into view. "What is tha-aa-AATT?" Stopping in her tracks and causing Nosepass to bump into her back, the girl staggered forward slightly from the sudden impact, the sight of Meditite coming into view. "Woah, it's a Meditite! I guess I would meditate in a calm place like Azalea too!" Wide eyed at the sight of the calm looking Pokemon, it's tranquil meditation almost made her energetic fade into nothing. Almost wanting to do a bit of yoga or something herself, she and her team became startled as it's eyes flung open. Moving from it's floating position into a bowing stance, Catherine blinked before playfully giggling. Bowing her own body forward aswell, Atlas and Nosepass exchanged glances before following suit. "Nice to meet'cha, Meditite!" Catherine called out joyfully as she straightened her back.
Noticing it hadn't yet ran off, it took Catherine a little while to put two and two together. "O-OOH!" She finally staggered out, "You wanna battle me?". Grinning with glee, she nodded multiple times and reached for a random Pokemon, "Alright, you're on! Show me your moves!" With a manic throw, she tossed her own Pokemon forward but what appeared wasn't what she first expected, "OOOOOH NOOOOOOO!" Jumping about on the spot, it was none other than the playful Yumina! Knowing full well that the Happiny was more likely to dash past the Meditite and run into the fog, never to be found again, Catherine juggled her Pokeball in her hands, swiftly withdrawing the Pokemon before Meditite could even attack. Breathing out a sigh of relief, she picked the next Pokeball, a sweat drop rolling down the side of her face, "I-I meant this one, haha-haha-haha!" Laughing awkwardly, she double checked that it wasn't Yumina again before throwing forth something a little similar.
"Yeah, that is more like it! Let's go, Clara!" Large, pink and ready to roll, the Audino blinked at her foggy surroundings at first before settling her eyes on the Meditite. Smiling warmly, the outward appearance of Clara didn't match her interior, as she loved to battle despite looking so huggable and motherly. She wasn't going to go easy on it. "Use Flamethrower!" Catherine ordered with some gusto, the Audino waving her hand into the air to acknowledge her task.

The meditite had been meditating in the fog in a long time. It had been there before the fog had arrived and it expected to be there, when the fog disappeared again. Like Atlas it knew there was no way of removing it, and the best thing you could do was to wait until it lifted. It just wasn't lazy and slept when it was stuck in one place, it used the time more effectively and trained its mind and body to become greater in any aspect of fighting. It had been trained its mind for some time now, and as it was about time it trained its body too, Catherine had arrived just in time to act like its sparring partner. A faint smile was visible on the meditite's face, when Catherin bowed back.. maybe. It was hard to tell in the fog, and it could just have been a shadow dancing around it. It stood patiently while Catherine greeted it and fumbled with her pokeball, though the disbelief was visible when the happiny appread. She couldn't be serious! It couldn't battle a hatchling! It would not only give it no training at all, it wouldn't be fair for the happiny either, as it could accidently injure it fataly! The meditite thoguht about abandoning the battle instead of going against Yumina, but to its relief it didn't had to. It gave Catherine time to recall Yumina without moving anything else than its eyes, which started to glow the moment Clara emerged from her pokeball. The audino felt a slight push at her brain as something went through it, trying to mess things up. It wasn't so bad though and it didn't kept her from senting the meditite a smile. Meditite narrowed its eyes as the human shouted something. From experience the meditite knew things wasn't always as they seemed, it had often been misjudged itself, and though Clara looked like no thread at all, it prepared for the worst. Its eyes widened with surprise as an inferno suddenly shot through the fog direcly towards it and raised the fogs temperature by several degrees. When Clara stopped her strong attack, she had made a fog-free passage through the fog, though it qouldn't last long before it was filled again. At the edge of it, the meditite stood with the side to Clara and Catherine, front to where it had stood a moment ago. It was unharmed. Its eyes stopped glowing though the alert expression didn't leave its face. It had been rigth to expect something more from the audino than most would, and it had been able to step out of the way in the last moment with the help of its psychic powers. It narrowed its eyes again. It had definitely found someone who could challenge it, the question was how to win it. Pumping her fists together with a bright smile, the Audino hardly looked threatening at all. Her species were known in Unova to support nurses and heal weak or injured Pokemon but Clara was a little different. Protective and motherly, she still bore the same traits as the typical Audino but she found battling to be thrilling, especially since Catherine had taught her an unusual move. She was hardly malicious or evil but she did enjoy friendly skirmishes which tested her abilities rather than the idea of an out fight war. Standing upright on her short legs, the Pokemon's ears twitched as it properly took in the sight of the Meditite. Suddenly feeling a crushing pain in her mind, her face pulled a look of discomfort as she attempt to soothe her head with a rub of her hand. Shaking the pain out, she frowned a little. Atleast now that the first move had been made, she didn't have to hold back. Bouncing forward, she took in a deep breath, a fiery feeling building up in her stomach.
"Might wanna look away, Nosey!" Catherine called out cheekily to her Nosepass as Atlas began to shield his own eyes from the upcoming attack. Questioning with a deep boom, Catherine took winced her eyes shut as she grinned, causing the Nosepass to turn on the spot. Moments later, a blast of raging flames loomed from the Pokemon's open mouth, slicing through the fog and hurtling towards the Meditite. Wincing her eyes open a slither, Catherine held up a hand to shield her gaze, noticing that Nosepass had begun to shake erratically at this surprising choice of attack. "Haha! Gets 'em every time!" The young nurse beamed out energetically, feeling her body warm up somewhat thanks to the blazing heat. Although this was a surprise attack, nothing was more surprising than what had actually happened. She wasn't underestimating the Meditite in the slightest but as the flames died down to reveal an untouched Pokemon, her jaw couldn't help but drop. "WUH-WUH-WHAAAAT?" Slowly following suit, Atlas lowered his hands and also appeared startled whilst Nosepass turned and was as full of emotion as any normal stone would be. "It's still standing! LOOK'IT!"
Sure enough, the wild Pokemon's glowing eyes began to dim, narrowing into a much more serious look as Clara stepped back nervously. Pulling a look of surprise mixed with puzzlement, it didn't take long for the Pokemon lover to put two and two together. Clapping her hands together abruptly, she figured something out, "The Meditite must've blocked the attack! That or it has AMAZING reflexes! Maybe even BOTH!" Rubbing her hands, Catherine wore a much more competitive, yet still friendly, smirk as she noticed Clara was a bit stumped herself. "You are gonna be a toughy if you keep blocking my moves! But you're bound to slip up eventually, huh?" Nodding curtly, she didn't want this to diter her Pokemon, "Use Flamethrower again, Clara! The little Meditite can carry on blocking but we'll push through eventually!" Nodding slowly, the Audino turned back to the foe, her eyes squinting through the fog.

The Audino was ready to go again. Whether or not the Meditite was going to block this, it was no matter to Clara. Taking her chance to launch her flamethrower again, the normal type was trying her best to aim in this thick fog. A scream from the Meditite few second later confirmed to her that, indeed her Flamethrower had hit! This time, the Meditite's reflexes were too slow to dodge. The Meditite remained in its failed dodging pose, panting "Medi--medi--" painfully. It kept its eyes on the Audino as it waited for her next move. It looked weary, and half of its body was unexpectedly heated by the Flamethrower. It wondered if it should try to dodge the next one again, or go on for an offense. It was determined though, for whatever that Catherine and Clara would do next. With its eyes fixed on Audino, it huffed proudly that it could withstand the heat. Aware of the power that was Detect, Catherine's words were not too far off, almost as if she had jinxed the Meditite. The trio once again preparing themselves to guard their eyes from the might blaze of the flamethrower, this time when Clara reeled back before attacking, their ears were filled with the sound of a scream as the flames span into a raging inferno through the thickness of the fog. Flinching somewhat, Catherine peered over the tips of her fingers, the flame cutting a smooth line through the fog to show that the opponent had been hit before flowing back into place. "Woah! I think you managed it!" Catherine mustered out her words in a mixture of surprised and delighted. Looking over the Pokemon from afar, she couldn't quite tell the severity of it's injuries due to the weather but she guessed that the Pokemon would be alright. "You okay little Meditite?! I can't really see ya!" The young blonde suddenly called out into the open, hoping to hear some sort of cry in response. Remaining behind Clara, the trainer took a cautious step or two forward to try and see deeper into the fog, the outline of the Meditite becoming somewhat clearer.
Watching as it panted heavily from receiving a hit, Catherine was pleased that it still looked ready to carry on. "Full of energy, ain'tcha? What a tough Pokemon!" Nodding her head, she grinned happily, Clara on the other hand still looking apprehensive and ready to land another hit if necessary. But thrusting her hand out as if to indicate to her Pokemon to stop, Catherine had a different idea. "I don't wanna needlessly hurt you. In fact, I think we could get along!" Laughing as she dug through her bag once again, she seemed to be looking for something. "A punch here and a bit of psychic-shenanigans there! And something courageous is just what I like!" Finding a Pokeball, she pulled the item out, closing her bag and teasingly tossing the ball into the air before catching it again. "So please come along with me! I'll make it worth your while!" Giving the Meditite one more grin, Catherine pulled her arm back, giving Clara just enough time to shuffle to one side in order to give Catherine extra space. Despite the heavy fog clouding her vision somewhat, she tossed the ball forward, hoping that it would actually hit the Pokemon.

"You okay little Meditite?! I can't really see ya!" "Medi-Medi!" The psychic Pokemon cried, as if responding to Catherine. That, or it was trying to let Catherine know that it hasn't pass out from the battle yet. A few seconds later, the meditating Pokemon was met with a flying Pokeball. In a few seconds, it was absorbed into the capture device by a bright white light that pierces through the fog. A small group of Mankey rustled the trees loudly as the light bothered them, leaping from tree to tree. Then, the Pokeball landed on the ground and began every trainer's most anxious moment. The Pokeball tauntingly rocked to the right... POP! Nevermind that! The Meditate wasn't ready to be captured yet, as it was still full of energy! It went into its meditating position as its body glowed a soft blue. This situation was as if the Pokemon was playing a mind game with Catherine. Grinning as the wild Meditite responded, Catherine atleast knew that this was a trustworthy Pokemon. At the beginning, it bowed to her politely despite not knowing her and even now, it was responding to her calls. Why, it was practically her best friend already!... In her mind, anyway. It was just a shame that the thickness of the fog that surrounded them was interfering with the fight itself, meaning both Catherine and her team members were unable to witness the actual moves of the wild creature clearly. It didn't matter too much, however, as this just made the young trainer even more interested in capturing it. As the red and white Pokeball began to soar through the air, it would be a miracle if she was even throwing it in the right way considering her poor sense of direction. Luckily for her, Pokeballs could lock onto their targets and this one somehow found the Meditite through the fog. Each of their eyes squinting and bodies leaning forward, Catherine was trying to keep her ears open for the sound of the satisfying capturing noise, ignoring the sound of rustling from the trees over head.
Popping out almost instantly, Catherine and her team staggered back in unison, her face looking somewhat dejected, "Ooh no! Don't be like that little Meditite! We can be best of friends, I pinky promise!" Holding out her pinky into the air, it wasn't as if she could do this childish act as they were in the middle of a Pokemon battle. Examining the Meditite, Clara perked up as the Meditite began it's meditation, sensing that it was building up some power. Hopping from one foot to the other, the large Audino tried to capture Catherine's attention, who was deep in thought over why Meditite popped out so quickly. "Does it think I'm not being serious? But I am always serious!" She mumbled to herself, snapping out of it as Atlas poked a hand into her face. Pointing, he guided her line of sight with his hand, Catherine's eyes quickly lighting up. "Ooh I seeee! You wanted to get comfortable first?! I getcha, I getcha! I would want to be in a comfortable position before being hit by balls too!" She laughed, positive that this was the case.
Lowering her head and almost wanting to slap her own face, she shook her head in disbelief of her trainer's naivety. Pulling out a second Pokeball, Catherine felt it was the best idea to try once again, "How about this one? I bet it is much more comfy!" Tossing it once again, her Pokemon watched with blank faces, wondering how the wild Meditite could be so calm in this situation.

As the ball soared towards its target, the Meditite merely let out a nonchalant sigh as it blinked its eyes and resumed its meditating pose. This entire battle was a hassle but it had at least acted as a test for the Pokemon to see if it lower itself and interrupt its meditating ritual. Having remained still throughout the battle it had at least succeeded. With this strange device being thrown at it, the Pokemon had at least some idea of what would happen next. Oh well. Come what may. As the ball burst open, enveloping the strange Pokemon in its radiant light, it absorbed it into the centre of the wondrous capture device. Now securely inside, the Pokeball did what it did best. Rocking back and forth, it was processing the newly acquired Pokemon. Once... Twice... Thrice...

This time, Catherine appeared to have much more luck. As the Pokeball soared through the air and absorbed the Meditite in the exact same fashion, the ball wobbled a bit fiercer until finally giving that satisfying sound of capture. Emerald green eyes beaming open, the young female took a dramatic prance forward as she went to collect the newest addition to her team. "Yeah! We got the Meditite! I guess it just wanted to move into a comfortable position after all, huh?!" Laughing at her own diagnosis, Atlas merely shook his head unhappily, not believing just how oblivious Catherine could be at times. Placing the ball in with the rest of her belongings, she turned to her Audino, leaning forward to give the pink Pokemon a celebratory pat. "Great job, Clara! You really tried hard, I know this fog is a little scary to fight in!" Closing her eyes upon feeling the hand on her head, the Audino drooped her ears as she pulled a content expression. "Okay! Let's move on and see what else we can find... Or, even see at all!"
About to return Clara back to her Pokeball so that she could have a rest, a sudden burst of light erupted from a Pokeball on her belt, the attention of Catherine and her Pokemon being turned to who had appeared, "Yumina?!" Prancing about erratically on the spot, it was as if the small Happiny had something of great importance to tell her trainer. Kneeling down to her Happiny's height whilst looking on with great intrigue, it was easy for Catherine to understand Yumina as they were practically on the same wave length. "Whats that? You wanna give me something?" Pulling out the Oval Stone from her pouch, Yumina handed it joyfully to Catherine, who accepted it despite being the one who gave it to her in the first place. "You wanna give me your Oval Stone?" Understanding this offering to be of highest importance to the Happiny line as it was a symbol of trust, the aspiring nurse moved her hand forward, only to flinch back and land roughly on her behind as Yumina erupted into a bright light. "Y-YUMINA?!" Catherine shouted over the gasps of her Pokemon as an evolution occurred right before her very eyes.
The light dying down, Catherine winced her eyes open, face dropping in awe as a large, pink Pokemon towered over her. Almost feeling her eyes dampen in pure happiness, Catherine got up from the floor, "Y-You evolved! Yumina! You are a Chansey!" Atlas, Clara and even Nosepass crowded around Yumina, looking just as impressed as they all took in the new appearance of Yumina, who was slowly looking down at herself. No longer was she an infant but more rivalling the height of Clara. Instead of the Oval Stone which now sat in Catherine's hand as a memento, Yumina now had real eggs of her own! Looking into each others eyes, the duo of nurse Pokemon suddenly broke out into an energetic fit of laughter, more so Yumina who naturally still had her bizarre personality. Clenching onto each others hands, the Audino and Chansey skipped endlessly in circles, making Catherine feel more than a little bit jealous as she clenched onto the egg in her arms. "Joey is gonna be so happy when he finds out you evolved so quickly! I gotta let him know later!" Smiling warmly, this very moment meant so much to the aspiring nurse. She had always dreamt of gathering a team of Pokemon which could accompany her in the future to help treat weak and injured Pokemon in the wild. Although this was just the start, she couldn't help but feel that she would be successful in Johto and lead her on the path of maturity.
But the inclusion of new partners didn't stop there. All of a sudden, Catherine let out a "WO-WO-WOOOOAAAH! THE EGG IS HATCHING!" All her team gathering around her as she began to panic from the violent shaking in her arms, Catherine decided to kneel to the floor, placing the egg down as each Pokemon, even Yumina, watched in amazement as a new life was born. Unbeknown to them all, Piccolo, her Minccino, had also erupted out of his Pokeball out of pure jealousy from feeling left out and perched himself on top of Nosepass, pretending to act disinterested yet really wanting to know how this new Pokemon would act. Bit by bit, the egg shell began to chip away, until a massive bundle of feathers emerged. Looking around, it must've been a terrifying sight for the new born with the face of a joyful human and her Pokemon companions circling around it. "I've never seen a Rufflet up close before! Look at how cute he is!" Catherine shrieked happily as warming smiles echoed through the group, warmly welcoming this baby avian to the team. Staring around with his large eyes, the Rufflet tried to get used to movement. Struggling to stand on his large feet, the Rufflet fell over himself once or twice but very quickly learnt how to control his balance. Hopping up and down on the spot, he ruffled up his feathers and chirped with a happy expression.
With her hands now free and emotions high, Catherine wasn't sure if she could hold back for much longer, "Y-You guys!... I LOVE YA!" Scooping up the Rufflet and embracing him into a loving hug, Clara and Yumina looked at one another before dashing forward and also embracing Catherine. Remaining on her shoulder, albeit a little squashed from Yumina pushing her body into him in order to get to Catherine, he clenched onto the side of her face aswell. Somehow wriggling his way into her spare shoulder, Piccolo rubbed his head lovingly under Catherine's chin, whilst Nosepass merely stood back. Not being the type to show any sort of emotion, it had no idea how to act but decided to follow suit by hopping a little closer. Enjoying every single second and shred of happiness that her Pokemon were offering her, Catherine struggled to find the words to speak. "Let's all work really hard together! We'll keep going to Gyms to get stronger and then we can travel to other places and do the same there!" Looking down to the Rufflet in her arms, she grinned warmly with flushed red cheeks, "And you can join us now too... Cormag!" Acknowledging this word to be his name, the Rufflet fluffed up his feathers cutely, much to the disdain of Piccolo.
Completely forgetting that they were out in the wild still, the group were too busy fawning over each other to notice any other people or Pokemon approaching them.
OOC: Leaving Meditite blank but keeping it for Catherine. Evolved Yumina into a Chansey and removed Oval Stone but given her Soothe Bell to hold, also hatched Rufflet.

Ooc: I did not see a reservation on this thread but if there is I do apologize. Ic: It had been a long hard day for Poochyena. The poor thing had been searching all day for something to eat. It was starving and was tired of getting ut's butt whupped in fights over food all day long. The dog Pokemon had not had a bite to eat for a few days now and was willing to eat just about anything. The poor dog had been rejected by both trainers and Pokemon alike when begging for food and Poochyena had growwn sick of rejection. It was not going to fail to get a meal again even it had to become someones slave. As the starving Pokemon sniffed around it's magnificent nose caught the smell of something delicious. At first sniff it detected Lava Cookies which were Poochyena's favorite treat. Just a few sniffs later Poochyena also could make out the scent of some Casteliacone and MooMoo Milk. The dog Pokemon though it was in heaven as it followed it's nose towards the scent. Poochyena started to daydream about the feast it would have. If there was just one of each of the things it's nose had picked up on Poochyena would be happy. As Poochyena kept walking it started to lick the sides of it's mouth out of excitement. The dark type Pokemon was thrilled at getting another chance to eat. The smell became overwhelming as Poochyena got close to the source. It knew that the grub had to be around here somewhere. As the starved Pokemon looked around the area for the grub it stubbed one of it's toes on a rock letting out a loud "Hoooooooooooowwwwwwwwlllll" in pain. The howl was so loud that Yumina ran over to investigate only to find the Poochyena still desperately looking for food. Poochyena noticed Yumina and got ready to fight over yet another meal. A wild level 15 Poochyena appeared. Please select a Pokemon.

Cutting into their hugging time, each member of the team froze as a pain howl suddenly echoed across the route. Lifting their heads in different direction, it appeared none of them knew where the sound came from. Apart from Yumina. Peeling herself away from the group, the energetic Chansey sprang into action and began to dart away. "WAIT! YUMINA! WAIT FOR UUUSSS!" Catherine called out worried, gripping hold of the newly hatched Rufflet and springing to her feet, both Piccolo and Atlas gripping onto either shoulder for dear life as she charged after the Chansey. Looking to one another, Clara and the Nosepass nodded knowingly and trailed slowly behind. With each step, the young nurse didn't really notice that the fog had begun to clear away, leaving but a chilly breeze lingering in the air as hail clouds began to form over head. But the weather was the least of her concerns, "Yumina! Please stop running!" She called out yet again, having somewhat caught up. Bounding on the spot, the Chansey flung an arm forward, pointing dramatically to a lone Poochyena.
"Woah! I see now! It's a Poochyena!" Catherine cheered energetically as her Audino and Nosepass caught up, both of them somewhat out of breath from the sudden running. Bouncing forward, the Chansey examined the Poochyena closely, only hopping backwards with a playful chuckle as the wild wolf took on a more violent expression. "Come back here, Yumina! That Poochy looks kinda angry!" Waddling back now that she had successfully found the source of the noise, it now left Catherine with the choice of what to actually do. She could tell there was something wrong with the wild Pokemon but she did not know just yet that it was hungry. Considering it to merely be territorial and wanting a good fight, she stood straight and wore a childish grin, "Okay! Then I choose you, Thwomp!" For a few moments, her entire team was silent. Not one of them had that name and it wasn't directed to Rufflet as he had already been dubbed Cormag.
Leaving only one option, each member of her team turned their heads slowly to stare at Nosepass, who in return looked startled at the sudden number of eyes lingering on him. "That's right, you're up Thwomp the Nosepass! Get in there!" Being indifferent on actually battling, the Nosepass stood up to the plate and was ready to take this one for the team. Hopping forward with a series of deep grunts, he examined the Poochyena from afar and awaited his command. "Alrighty, use your Rock Throw!" Leaning forward, the Nosepass looked for some form of rock to throw, otherwise he would just rip up some of the ground and toss it.
OOC: Sent in Yumina (Chansey) and then replaced with Thwomp (Nosepass) and used Rock Throw! As a side note, I think Joe's Ballroom Blitz is the only thread that is currently reserved, all the others are free for anyone to reply to.

Given the wild hyena had smelt all the delicious scents of Moomoo milk and Casteliacones, it was somewhat disappointed to see a Chansey standing where rightfully the source of the wonderful smells should be. As it took in the sight of Yumina, it's stomach growled horribly. If anything, the growl of its stomach was far louder than that of its howl. Sizing up the pink and round Pokemon, it decided that perhaps that would suffice as food to sate its starving hunger. Licking its lips as it took aim of the Pokemon, the Pokemon was so focused on taking a large bite out of Yumina that it failed to realise that Yumina was actually a Pokemon that belonged to someone. And that someone was right behind their Pokemon. Approaching on the scene, Catherine was thankfully just in the nick of time. As she absconded her Chansey for running off, she was quick enough to appreciate the the severity of the situation and made a worthwhile swap. Putting forth Thwomp the Nosepass, Yumina was reigned in. With so little focus from how hungry it was, the Poochyena appeared to see its target as still in place and with a wild leap, jumped foward, its maw wide open as in order to make a bite. As it chomped down its fangs, the Pokemon was first met with the horrible realisation that Chansey were not as soft and delectable looking as it had first thought. As it tightened its jaw harder, it let out a whine as it felt its teeth scrape painfully against the hard, rocky surface. Letting go of its grip, unable to make off with anything from the Pokemon, the Poochyena was met with the surprise of its life. At some point, it appeared the Pokemon had done a switcheroo and replaced it with what could only be described as a lump of rock. Definitely not a tasty one for the Pokemon! Feeling angered at being baited as such, the Pokemon stomped its foot down and with a deafening howl, stretch its neck up to the heavens as its battle cry increased its adrenaline, causing its attack power to take a modest boost. Despite its outburst, Thwomp was stoic and unrelenting in its handling of the situation. It cared not that the Pokemon had almost destroyed its teeth on its hardened being. Instead, it punched its stubby arm into the ground and with a lift, plucked a sizeable rock from beneath the earth. Swirling its arms around in a windmill motion, the rock was thrown and went flying up into the air before tumbling down and cracking forcibly on top of the Poochyena's head. Not only had it suffered immense toothache from biting the Nosepass but now it had to contend with a splitting headache. There were no breaks for this poor beast of the wild. Wild Battle

As soon as Thwomp was switched into battle, Catherine and numerous members of her team flinched painfully in unison at the sight of Poochyena jumping forward and chomping it's jaws down on the Nosepass' nose. Apart from Yumina, who was naturally chaotic and oblivious and Cormag who didn't quite understand the meaning of pain just yet. "Ouchie!" Catherine whimpered, feeling somewhat sorry for the hungry Poochyena, "If I didn't know better, it is as if that Poochyena hasn't eaten in a while. Why else would it try to EAT Thwomp?!" Clearly puzzled by the choice of move, Catherine wasn't all that far off. The Poochyena was hungry and it had intended to take a bite out of the soft, plump Yumina but instead opened it's eyes to see a huge red nose. Watching cautiously as the Poochyena relinquished it's grip and staggered back into an overwhelming howl, Catherine couldn't help but notice her Nosepass trying to lift an arm in order to comfort the slight pain of his slightly chipped nose. "It's okay Thwompy Wompy, you can pull through on this! We're all counting on you!" Trying to cheer her Pokemon on, the rest of her team responded in their own way.
Clara, being the kindest, chirped in her own cry and waved her arms about, Yumina only doing the same because it looked fun. Piccolo merely grunted, not interested in the battle at all and Atlas looked as worried about everything as usual. Cormag the Rufflet, however, was watching intently from the safety of Catherine's arms. He had only just hatched but already he had a pressing urge to fight. Deciding it to be best to learn from an older Pokemon, the Rufflet stared at the battle, causing Thwomp to sudden somewhat as he felt a heavy pair of eyes staring at his back. With a might dig into the ground, he pulled out a decent sized slab of earth before tossing it at the wild wolf after spinning it around in a windmill motion, one that caused the eyes of Catherine to trail after as it span round and round. Not realising what this poor wild Pokemon had gone through and the fact she was making it worse, Catherine was still on a high after the recent evolution and hatching of her team. "Great job Thwomp, you really ROCK!" Raising their eyebrows in unison, both Atlas and Piccolo stared at her face with a pained expression after what she had said. "Hit it with another Rock Throw, ol' buddy ol' chum!"

IC: Poochyena's teeth were still in a lot of pain after the last round. The poor canine had literally bit a rock as hard as it could and the poor Pokemon was clearly suffering for choosing such a dumb move to use against a Nosepass. Unfortunately for the hyena it did not know any other moves worth using so the dark type knew another Bite attack would be the only option. As the starving Pokemon readied itself for a mouthful of pain it ran towards the stone Pokemon and bit down on one of it's tiny arms as hard as it's teeth would allow. Poochyena let out a howl of pain as it's teeth were now in shambles but Thwomp stood silent event though his right arm now had a few holes in it from how hard Poochyena had bitten him. He might have been a bit slower than the dog but the statue Pokemon was still pretty strong. He picked up yet another rock and threw it right at Poochyena's jaw. The rock scored a direct hit sending some teeth out of the hyena's mouth all over the ground. The starving Pokemon now had to deal with half of it's teeth missing along with it's hunger. As Poochyena looked over at Catherine the poor Pokemon was clearly suffering. Maybe it could somehow sense she wanted to be a nurse and might be able to help it after the battle. The sad look on the hyena's face sure did seem to suggest that it was ever so sorry for trying to steal food no matter how hungry it was. Wild Pokemon Battle
