Okay, so Justin would be lying if he said he wasn't excited.
The newest 'Mysterious Cave' on a strange estate had been whispered in rumor and rhyme, but Justin had never really set aside the time to go visit it. But, today, camera equipment and Pokemon in hand, he was ready delve into the rock and see what it contained. Rhoan snorted beside him, his Pignite companion. Using a bit of fire, she lit the way so they could navigate through the twists and turns.
"Maybe we'll get some training in for you too. How's that sound?"
Justin stooped down to ruffle the Pignite's coarse fur momentarily before standing back up and putting his camera around his neck. There were promises of Pokemon, and some that couldn't be caught, only battled. He wasn't sure if he wanted to see those or not, but a picture was a picture. Besides, Rhoan would have fun roughing up whatever came her way. Whatever he stumbled upon in the dark couldn't be all that bad, could it?
The recent introduction of new Pokemon to the Mysterious Cave added a profound change to the atmosphere. Holes had been dug in some parts of the floor and various new cries could be heard coming deep from within. Since Justin had last visited the cave all of the Dunsparce had been captured but the caves owner introduced new Pokemon to replace them. Some of the caves native residents did not necessarily like the introduced species at first but over time they became accustomed to the change. All of the Pokemon in the cave had not seen a human in ages which made Justin's visit all the more special.
As he entered the cave his footsteps echoed deep into the cave awakening an untold number of Pokemon who would surely come to investigate. The sounds of various Pokemon moving about could be heard and they seemed to get closer with every step Justin took. As the young man walked deeper into the cave less and less light reached him until he could hardly see in front of his face. Silhouettes could be seen moving all around him. A moment later one of the Silhouettes stopped in front of him perhaps out of curiosity or maybe because it wanted to pick a fight.
Either way the small thing fired a rock into the ceiling that punched a small hole in the ceiling allowing some light into the cave revealing the Silhouette to be a Rogenrola. This Pokemon was not very common in the Johto region but in the Mysterious cave they were a pretty common sight thanks to the large number of them put in the cave by it's owner. Roggenrola stood directly in the beam of light it had so graciously provided and waited to see what Justin would do.

"Last time I was here... man, that seemed ages ago... Anyways. Last time I was here, I got a bit of training done. Maybe we can do the same."
Justin murmured to Rhoan, face pressed against his camera. With each flash, he could see Pokemon scurrying around, up the rock walls, and even across the ground. But, it was only for the brief second. Then, of course, his eyes needed to adjust, and by that point, nothing was there to battle. The Pignite seemed annoyed at this, but merely grunted and continued walking with her trainer. She kept close; it could be easy to get lost, and nobody wanted that.
However, the sound of breaking rock startled the pair as they walked. Justin almost dropped his camera in shock, but managed to salvage the fumble. A Roggenrola, a Pokemon Justin wasn't very familiar with, was standing in his way. It had broken the ceiling to give Justin some light. So, he took advantage of it, and started taking pictures. However, when the Pokemon didn't move, Rhoan took her cue and pounded her fist against her chest. Justin turned to look at her, and then the rock.
"OH, you wanted to battle? Sorry, sorry... backing up now..."
He murmured, getting out of her way, but keeping his eyes on the Pokemon as he took pictures.
"Uh, try some Arm Thrusts to warm up."
Justin suggested, sounding distant as he stepped into the photographer zone. Rhoan rolled her eyes and rolled up imaginary sleeves, grunting at the rock before preparing to attack.
As Rhoan readied herself to start a barrage of Arm Thrush towards the rock while Justin took pictures the poor little Roggenrola began to question it's sanity since for some reason or another it had not noticed the giant pig with Justin. Second guessing it's choice to reveal itself. As the little rock type tried to run away Rhoan pressed her hands against it's face multiple times causing tremendous damage. Roggenrola were known for their physical defense but this was truly a statement to see the poor thing get back up after such a barrage. Rhoan jumped into the air hoping to avoid it's counter attack but it proved to be a mistake.
Roggenrola managed to somehow do a moon jump like Smack Down attack right into Rhoan sending her flying towards the ground at great speed. Despite the size difference Roggenrola had still caused a lot of damage to the pig and Rhoan was clearly not very happy about the rock using such a cheap move. She was punching her chest as if she wanted to send the poor rock to an early grave and Roggenrola truly regretted picking a fight now.
The battle did offer some fantastic displays of power of strength however and it likely would have had a few picture worthy moments despite being a lopsided battle after just one round. Now all Roggenrola could do was wait to see what Justin and Rhoan would do next.

Rhoan wasn't one of his most often used Pokemon recently, mainly because she was a high enough level and the others had to catch up to her previously, but Justin began to question that. Everytime he watched her battle, she always came out with powerful displays of strength, but still managed to take perfect pictures each time. It was almost infuriating. And, it was almost as if it were planned. Mugging the camera, even.
Rhoan had almost obliterated the Pokemon, which was what Justin wanted. There were times like these when he needed to be a Pokemon trainer, or a photographer. Sometimes he couldn't be both, so when the camera was clicked off, and the Pokeball retrieved from his bag, he was committing. And this was a rare occasion, indeed.
"Sidestep a bit, will ya, Rhoan? Gonna try and catch 'em. Tough little bugger, indeed!"
He hoped the rock would take it as a compliment, and not anything derogatory. Justin let the pokeball fly, and watched it soar towards the Roggenrola. Truth was, he didn't know much about these little guys. But, it was possible that he might like to... If this didn't work, Pokeballs wouldn't be useful and he'd just have to suffice with not catching anything this trip to the cave. But, he'd see how it went first.
Ooc: Updating the Pokeball. I hope I calculated the exp right first time modding a battle with exp share. Sorry this reply was a bit short I hit a bit of writers block and was not too sure on what to type so I hope it is alright.
As Roggenrola faced imminent doom it prepared to face the music for picking a fight it could never win. Somehow the small Pokemon had stayed up despite a true thrashing but the poor thing knew a second round was out of the question. The poor Pokemon had enough and was barely able to move as it is. It did not even see the red and white ball traveling towards it as it tried to escape. As Roggenrola looked away it was hit by the ball and disappeared in a red flash.
The ball shook three times. Each a little more than the last. After just a moment however it clicked shut securing the rock type and officially bringing the battle to an end. Rhoan snorted out of happiness that she had proven herself yet again. Meanwhile Roggenrola finally had a chance to rest inside the Pokeball. It was quite happy that it at least avoided another beating by Rhoan. As the Pokeball traveled in virtual space to Justin's PC other Pokemon could be heard thought the cave likely reacting to one of their friends being captured.
Rhoan fought well and gained 1950 exp! She is now level 28! (226/2611) to level 29! Skipping Take Down but ok She gained 1 happiness! Now +10!
Per Tygress's request, Simba can take a chill and ignore this exp share from here

Opting out of Take Down. Thanks though~

The pokeball shook a few times, and settled in the center of the light circle the caught Pokemon had created for the trainer in the first place. It only took a few seconds to walk over and retrieve the newest team member, which he sent to the PC for now. Give him some rest, and let him heal. In the meantime, they had bigger fish to fry.
"Didja hear that?"
Justin murmured, looking around in the dark cave. He stayed close to the light Roggenrola had made for them.
"Keep your eyes peeled, and Arm Thrust anything that is a Pokemon that jumps out at us for a battle, sound good?"
That was the battle plan, anyways. Something in the dark sounded agitated, and something in the dark probably wanted to attack. Rhoan had her orders, and kept to Justin's side, doing her best to see into the darkness. She was ready.
As Rhoan prepared herself to unleash a Arm Thrust thrashing on anything that came close to her silence befell the cave. Everything seemed to have just dropped dead. The was not even the tiniest of noise and you could of heard a pin drop. The eerie silence did not last very long however as after just a brief moment a shriek could be heard coming from deeper within the cave. As Rhoan kept a watchful eye out nothing seemed to want to come out of hiding after what had happened to Roggenrola despite the shrieking sound.
Right as things seemed hopeless to encounter any more Pokemon however a winged Pokemon flew towards Rhoan and Justin at very high speed nearly flying straight into Rhoan before circling above their heads. The bat Pokemon seemed to be trying to use height to it's advantage as it used echolocation to try and find what else was in the cavern with it. It began to let out horrible shrieks as it honed in on both Rhoan and her trainer. Once it had a good idea as to where there were the bat decided to stay up high.
Zubat could sense a fairly large Pokemon and it knew a close up fight would not work very well for it. As long as it kept it's distance however the little bat thought it may still have a chance. Before making a move however the bat decided to wait and see Justin's next move before doing anything it might regret.
A wild lv24 Zubat Appeared please select a Pokemon.
As much as Rhoan wanted to fight, her fire attacks wouldn't dispatch the Zubat quick enough, especially with it staing at it's height. Justin thought for a moment, watching the bat keep it's distance. Who could he use? Rhoan's fire attack was physical, aside from Ember...
"I'm sorry girl, but would ya mind sitting this one out? Just 'til I get this Bat outta the way."
Getting Rhoan to not battle was definitely a hard battle to fight aside from the actual Pokemon battle. The pig snorted, huffed, and crossed her arms, staring at the bat.
"Oh c'mon. It's just one fight. I'm sure there's tons of other rocks you can beat up in here."
Bargaining would get you far, padawan. Rhoan took a few steps back, refusing to uncross her arms. Justin thumped a Pokeball, releasing Dayn, his Gyarados. The fish turned around to smile at Justin happily, before his mouth opened in the signature Gyarados open maw.
"Rhoan would appreciate it greatly if ya could get rid 'o tha Zubat?"
Justin shot a look to Rhoan, just to make sure. The pig nodded, and pointed at the Zubat with anger. Dayn nodded and slithered forward to meet the Bat, which i'm sure would have probably preferred the pig at this point.
As Zubat flew above the Trainer it was starting to feel a little cocky. Nothing had been fired at it so far and so the Bat Pokemon thought that it may have gotten away with flying into the same room as Justin. That all changed however when Dayn appeared. The Bat Pokemon realized it had mad a horrible mistake in trying to even stay in the cavern and it should have run when it had the chance. It was too late now though as the battle was underway.
As Zubat tried frantically to not lose the fight it never saw Dayn make his move. The giant serpent somehow fired a beam of ice towards the annoying critter all while magically floating in mid air. The Ice Beam scored a direct hit knocked the Zubat out cold before it could even make a single attack. As Zubat fell to the ground Dayn seemed quite pleased that his Ice Beam was so powerful. Not many Pokemon in the cave were anywhere close to Dayn's size but now after seeing the attack hit poor Zubat the cave seemed to go dead silent again perhaps out of shock that such a powerful trainer had come to visit.
Justin cheered, flipping through the pictures he'd gotten of Dayn's Ice Beam. He crawled up the dragon until he got to the upper neck and started scratching behind two of the plates. Dayn's eyes closed and his chest rumbled happily. Rhoan rolled her eyes. She should've killed the Roggenrola in one shot, and despite Dayn not gloating, the Pignite felt one-upped.
"I'll give you a hollar if we need you again, bud. Thanks again!"
Sliding down the back of the dragon, Justin's feet hit the ground and the Pokemon was returned. Rhoan met his gaze icily.
"What? Are you mad? There are others to fight. You're next, you'll see."
The cave remained awfully quiet for quite some time. Just as all hope seemed lost however the cave did not seem to want Justin to leave and the sounds of something scratching at the ground could be heard. At first it sounded pretty far off but as time went on the sound seemed to be heading towards Rhoan and Justin. The ground began to shake underneath of them and it felt like there was an earthquake going on. Just as suddenly as it started it stopped however and everything seemed to be safe.
A moment later however the sound of digging began again right under Rhoan and Justin as if there was something right beneath the surface. Just a second later the ground opened up in front of them and a tiny crocodile Pokemon stuck it's head up. The little Pokemon was confused as to what Justin was as it had never seen a human before and the sight of Rhoan terrified it. Being a brave Pokemon however the tiny Pokemon crawled out of the hole and stopped in front of Justin.
It snapped it's jaw up in down as if it were picking a fight. The Pokemon may not have been large but it certainly was brave especially for a Sandile to want to fight something with such a large size advantage. Before the little POkemon could make a move however it started to daydream about it's love of digging. Thus giving Justin time to plan his next move.
A wild lv25 Sandile has appeared. Please select a Pokemon to battle.
Ooc: You had some really good luck rolling this baby. You and Joey both seem to have pretty good luck.

The tiny sounds of digging claws broke the silence in the cave. The nose of the little crocodile pushed through the earth, sniffing at the fresh air before it pulled the rest of it's body up onto the surface. Justin blinked, and Rhoan cracked her knuckles.
"Seriously though, it's adorable!"
Justin crooned, taking a few pictures. He circled around the Pokemon as it daydreamed about it's digging habit. Rhoan snorted, annoyed.
"What? I'm taking pictures."
The trainer didn't catch on to the pig's irritation, but he would soon enough. Flames licked across the body of the Pignite as she prepared her Flame Charge.
"What? Okay, fine..."
Justin backed up and took more pictures.
"You've already got it in your head to Flame Charge, so go for it."
Ooc: I had to use a calculator that is a bit different that the one I am used to and it only gives percentage damage not hp so the damage may be off by a few points but it still should be pretty close. Flame Charge was actually a bit weaker than I was expecting but still it was pretty strong. Sandile is pretty fast too it outpaced Rhoan by 1 speed.
As Sandile finally woke up from it's daydreams it actually liked Justin taking pictures of it until Rhoan spoiled the fun. The young crocodile realized that the pig was going to try and fight it and the small dig happy Pokemon would have to come up with something soon or it would be crocodile soup. As Rhoan charged ahead with her Flame Charge the little sneaky bugger decided to use the terrain to it's advantage. It found a small pile of mud in the corner of the cavern and jumped in only to start kicking the mud all over the place. One splash of the mud hit RHoan right in the eyes.
Somehow despite having reduced vision she managed to still find her target. She rammed into the crocodile and the poor thing went flying into a stalagmite located right behind the mud puddle. The small dark Pokemon was a bit slow to recover as the Flame Charge had been a pretty powerful hit. Sandile was in a considerable amount of pain as it walked back over towards Justin clearly unhappy with the giant hog that had just used it as a speed bump. Sandile let out a violent "Hiiissssss" like an incredibly large snake as it readied itself for another round with the monstrous hog watching over it like a hawk.
Wild Pokemon Battle
Sandile: | Level 25| Health: 40% (27/67 HP) Status: Normal I really don't like you!
Justin's Rhoan: | Level 28 | Health: 87% (84/97 HP) Status:Accuracy -1, Speed +1 Hit me with your best shot!
Rhoan was getting her battle fix, which made Justin happy. But, watching the Sandile didn't. The creature didn't seem like it really wanted to fight, and after Rhoan had mowed over it with a Flame Charge, the Sandile did it's best to pad over to him, probably to get more pictures taken or avoid more damage. It hurt Justin a little bit, but Rhoan was having fun.
"Step aside, Rhoan."
Justin called out, pulling out a Great ball from his inventory. The bag rested against his hip from the side, next to his camera bag. It didn't take long to line up the shot, and even though Rhoan was discontent, she'd survive.
"Just can't leave the little guy all on his lonesome. Besides, he liked the pictures."
He wasn't about to bargain with the Pignite. She was hot headed, and he understood that. But that didn't mean she knocked out everything in the cave. He tossed the Great Ball towards the Sandile, hoping it'd want to tag along.
-1 Great Ball
(Note, Simba is out of his fight as you know, so EXP share has been turned back on.)
