Must... contain... jealousy! Sucks that North America doesn't get the same badass box art Japan and Europe have...
We totally need to hunt together if possible.

What is the NA boxart like? I must admit, the one they have for Europe is okay but it could be better. Nothing'll beat MHTRiU's JPN box art with Brachydios looking all fierce. Got another pic too. I ordered a bundle for Morri but she has a white New3DS and sadly they had these black faceplates that don't gel too well with the colour. Seeing as I have black it looks much better. Just need to keep an eye out for the white MH4U plates. Click 1Click 2And we definitely have to organise some hunts all together. Morri and I make for a deadly combo but combined with you guy's I don't think anything should trouble us. Shame we couldn't have faced the cruel king of the seas and SUPER BRACH.

Unfortunately THIS is what we get. I just wish it was a little more dynamic? Like, I can get over Seregios not being on the box art, but this is just so bland. Sadly I have to wait until Tuesday to get my copy because they don't deliver on weekends in Canada (wtf is that?) and Monday is some cruddy little holiday.

Fuuuuuu, I need to get this game, man. Gawd.
I've never really played an MH game, is it alright if I pick up 4, or does it HAVE to be played in order?

Nope, you can jump straight into 4U without prior experience. It's very newbie friendly as far as I've heard. The only thing the older games have are some monsters who don't reappear (*coughAmatsumagatsuchicough*), so you're not really missing out, lol.

This game is great. It can be fast paced and understandably not everyone's cup of tea but it is for sure one of the best series out there. I'm still only on the first rank but from what I have played, it is really good so far. I like the new monsters and the map layouts have been decent. The jumping mechanics are okay too, it'll just take a bit of getting used to. But mounting is beginning to get more fun, as long as you time it right, you can knock monsters over pretty regularly.
I agree with Dani in that this game is very user friendly. Again, there is a lot of stuff going on and it might be a little difficult at first but it is much easier than say, 3U for the Wii/DS. The opening is teaching you how to fight a Mohran (which is super important when you play multiplayer please dont touch the gong please dont touch the harpoon omg my hair is falling out just stop) and the first two quests are teaching you how to make Steak and Mega Potions. Literally the key things you need in the game.
I really want to play more, if only there were more hours in the day.
But yeah, if anyone wants to make a group, feel free to invite me and Joe. I'll work on a Hunting Horn to play the song of my people and give you all boosts. (Unless that is your main, then I'll just Gunlance) Me and Joe just got the Tetsucabra armour, SO WE'LL HELP.
Also, you dont exactly need the new 3DS. Most of the time, I just press a button on the touch screen which locks onto the monster and then press L to keep the camera on it. But I played it for ages on my old 3DS so it's just easier for me to do it that way. There are Circle Pad Pro attachments but again, I can't recommend because I just tapped L to keep the camera on my back all the time. The new c stick thing isn't too bad though, it's pretty responsive. But it doesn't move or feel like how I thought it would feel. It's just kinda, there.

I'm still working on getting the hang of things, but I'm going to touch everything Morri told me not to touch because she told me not to touch it. c:
Except not really because I'm not that bad xD
But yeah for just getting into Monster Hunter yesterday I really like it, but I also find fishing a lot of fun xD

Well its not that I'm playing with a busted screen. The screen is 65% black, but if your in the light, its about.... 35%.
