" ...I know you're holding out on me, woman." Swirling around on an lavishly designed executive chair was a familiar face within the Rocket squad Tobias had been assigned. Despite how gloomy the office was with her desk light illuminating a very ominous tone, it was still possible to make out her core features. Her flowing golden locks, scarlet dressed clothing scheme and perhaps most notably were the numerous burns blemishing her otherwise porcelain skin were visible. It was none other than Lucretia. Whilst not the leader of this particular Rocket squad, this de facto leadership being handled by the wrinkly, long in the tooth Harman, she was near enough poised to take over. Wanting nothing more than to steal the reigns and take over herself. A cut-throat business woman such as she was not one that idly sat around. She was ambition incarnate and because of this was always conspiring to further her position of power and sphere of influence. Already within the crime syndicate she had been able to negotiate many favours to herself and was respected as someone you really shouldn't be on the wrong side of. It was a definite wonder why she hadn't become one of the few executives at the top running the show. Grinning deviantly as she switched around the smoking cigar in her mouth, she slammed her clenched fist down on the table and spoke out with a jaunty tone of voice, one ill befitting of a woman such as herself. " I have to say, that's what I love about you most Toby." Placing a sickeningly sweet emphasis on her decided nickname for the eye patched male, she let out a puff of smoke as she leaned forward, her fingers interlocking as she weighed up on whether she should take a risk on this relatively new member to their squad. " Of course you're bein' held out on! You're a no-name. A nobody! Quite frankly i'm surprised we ain't got you moppin' up the floors after Garcian's pitfights." Her eyes leering seductively she took the cigar out of her mouth and patted it on the ash tray on her desk. " But your insistence on punching above your weight is admirable. I like it. If I didn't, I would have had you thrown out of my office by now." Her hand falling to her side, she gave a Pokemon a gentle caress of its head. Leaning forward slightly, Tobias calmly noted she had a rather vicious Persian at her side. " Well? If that is the case, I require a mission." Remaining taut in his responses, his cold glare of his only eye was something that phased most people however Lucretia was entirely differently. " Hahahahahaha! Oh Toby. When will you drop this entire man of few words act. Heh. Besides, shouldn't you be going to Harman for this?" Playful in her words with a subtle razor's edge to her words, she leaned forward onto her desk as she waited conceitedly for Tobias to accept her superiority over Harman. Surprisingly, it was something Tobias was all too quick to agree with. " Hmph. I had you down as someone with enough business savvy to be able to see why I am here and not Harman." Raising an eyebrow, she usually would have struck down most people taking down such a tone with her but Tobias, or Toby as she preferred, seemed able to get away with such a tone of voice. " Harman is a decrepit, senile, fool of a zombie. It's about time someone buried him in his grave." Glaring his eye further, he concluded. " It's overdue." Snickering on his shoulder, Prometheus was of this opinion too. That and the fact Harman smelt funny which usually offended the chimp's sense of smell. Leaning forward with both of his arms outstretched onto her desk, Tobias made clear of his wants. " I'll cut to the chase. I want a high level mission. I joined this criminal group because I thought it would mean I could continue my exploits. Not to sit around vaporising feral beasts into oblivion." Leaning back into her seat, she interlocked her fingers again as she coyly bought up what she knew about him. " Well...I can see why you would want that. Mr. Dillinger. The Great Unovan Bank Robber. I know about your exploits." Leering her eyes again, she smirked. " I was all too surprised when I saw your face turning up at HQ. Don't think that because this place is so backwater that all of us are ignorant to world news. I'm surprised the others aren't aware of your reputation." Picking up the cigar from the tray, she placed it in her mouth and puffed contemplatively. " Perhaps i'll take a chance. From liaising with the higher ups, there is one particular mission that requires doing. Of course, I was told it was to be given to top level agents. Garcian was my original choice but he's too brash. The target would definitely get harmed. Coyote, who can steal anything, would have trouble with the bodyguards. I had been thinking of passing this to Hypnotica... But..." With both of them fully aware he was now putty in the palm of her hands, she laughed bluntly. " Would such a low level grunt like you be able to do this...? Hm?" His face building up with anger, it was perhaps a real surprise that when he opened his mouth that it was not that of anger but monotonous tone. " Enough. You should be able to conclude I am suited for this. You know of my past, the fact I have built a weapon of mass destruction through my own talent alone. I'm sure word has also spread of my flawless victory in that dingy underground fight club." His eye looking off elsewhere, he mumbled his last point. " ...And the less said about the clown suit the better." Bursting out in a raucous laughter, Lucretia slapped her legs as she recalled the miserable Tobias dressing up in such garish wear. " Ahahahahahahahahahaha! Fine! Fine! I suppose you've argued your case. Compliant enough to have gone through with the clown suit too. Just remember one thing." Flashing him a genteel smile, it belied the true gravitas of her words. " If you f@#$ this up it will be your head, not mine. I would expect you to pin the blame on Harman too." Bluntly failing to respond with any sort of reaction, Tobias merely replied with a few words. " That will not be happening." Having begun to shift through her desk drawer, she paused in what she was doing as her eyes flicked up to reveal a dagger filled stare. " Funny you say that. How is that Magby of yours rotting away in jail? Don't forget I know about your failures too, Dillinger." Clearly in her business frame of mind, she had dropped all formalities, all banter with the suited Rocket. Gritting his teeth, Tobias did his best to keep his anger under wraps. " Ah. Here's the dossier. Read up and get moving. I'll make sure nobody else attempts the mission in the meantime." Throwing the dossier over the desk, she resumed petting the top of her spoilt Persian. Picking it up, Tobias bluntly concluded their meeting. " Very well." Making a swift exit, he quickly pulled out a cigarette and let Prometheus ignite it in order to smoke. " That woman..." Clearly not very keen on her company or going to her for favours, it was a compromise he would have to make in order to climb the ladder on his way to the top. Retiring away from her quarters, he made it back to the main area of their squad's base and took a seat before reading over the dossier's information. Tobias was a criminal through and through. He had done embezzlement, hacking, data theft, bank heists, robbery, murder, arson, grand theft auto, a whole plethora of crimes. But from reading this mission briefing it became very clear. He would have another crime to add to his repertoire. Kidnapping. " So the mission is to kidnap the director's child in order to strike at him. I see." Thinking it over, it seemed to be that the director was very much a resolute man who didn't succumb to threats or bribes. What a shame it was he had such a glaring weakness to be exploited. "But of course, it would not be simple." Reading over the file on the daughter, an Alexandria Northington, it was worth noting that the director obviously prized her safety and it appeared she was always accompanied by hired security. Placing a hand over his mouth as he inhaled a particularly thoughtful dreg of his cigarette, he withdrew it from his mouth as he blew out smoke. If his Porygon-Z's strength was anything to go by, they would be irrelevant. The rest of the mission itself would be a walk in the park. Looking at the time on his wristwatch, he couldn't believe his luck. It was approaching evening and according to the mission brief, she attended evening violin classes. What's more was that the file had information on the vehicle transport commonly used. " Perfect." Standing up, he would waste no time in securing his foundation within the organisation. Having prepared himself, from Pokemon, to technological devices and even to getting on another suit he had in his wardrobe that was impeccably clean and well ironed, the criminal was ready to see the mission was completed. Having uploaded all of the contents of the brief to his C-Gear, Tobias exited out of the underground HQ into an alleyway in Goldenrod inconspicuously. Checking the co-ordinates on his C-Gear, he wouldn't have to go far in order to intervene their usual route that was followed. Keeping back at the entrance of the alleyway, it would be difficult to try and locate the target vehicle on foot. This is where Tobias' skills as a hacker would come into play. Booting up a function on his C-Gear, his eye flicked up to the numerous surveillance cameras littered about the lamp posts and buildings and got to work. Having injected his Porygon-Z into the Goldenrod security network and used this as a means to bypass their protocols, it meant taking control of the system was relative child's play. Tapping through each view he came across, it wasn't long before the target was spotted. " Hmph. Now to divert to a more advantageous location. We can't have this target escaping." In the time he had been scanning through the surveillance cameras, Lateralus had gone to work on securing other electronic facets of the city. Traffic lights, construction signs, advisory road signs, they were all at his finger tips. Stalling them at the junction they were wanting to pass through, Tobias ensured the flow of the traffic meant they were stuck in place. Letting this go on for a few minutes in order to get them to want to take a diversion, he allowed a traffic light to flash go but only in a left direction. Begrudgingly taking the turn, he watched as the limousine went along and took his desired path he had engineered. Getting near to the end of a road, Tobias quickly shifted to take control of a construction work site on the road which had a sign he could manipulate. Forcing another left, it meant they had no choice but to follow. At this point, the plan had almost fully come together. Taking control of one last advertising billboard above that showed images and videos electronically, he entered a bulletin text to advise of fatal accident. Suggesting to take an alternate route right, Tobias watched as the vehicle accepted the advise, Slipping his sleeve over his C-Gear, he looked up as he saw the limousine drive down a narrow side road opposite the alleyway he had been hiding in. Striding over, he needed to keep up the element of surprise as soon it would become apparent to the driver of the vehicle they had just gone down a dead end. Blocking off the entrance, he straightened his tie and merely stared through into the driver's mirror to get their attention.

Goldenrod City - Evening- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "We're gonna be late! Hurry! I can't miss a lesson or Daddy will get super mad!"
Galliano looked down at the pouting face of his charge, Alexandria thumping back in her seat as traffic slowed to a crawl. "Easy there, little tiger. Just a bit of traffic to get through and we'll be there in no time," said Blanchard, the dark-haired man smiling kindly. Both bodyguards had grown quite used to Alexandria's antics, and her worries seemed miniscule compared to theirs - as the director's daughter, she was often the target of all sorts of shady people. Not that anyone would ever get past the pair of them, which was the precise reason they'd been hired. As traffic continued moving at a snail's pace, Galliano frowned as the limo reached the intersection and made a prompt left.
The best route was a straight drive to the building, and the driver, an old gentleman who'd been with the family since Alexandria had been born, knew better than to take alternate routes. As the car took another left, both men looked around in mild alarm. Even Alexandria looked perplexed by this, face crinkling in confusion. Blanchard murmured something and knocked on the window that separated the driver from them. "Excuse me? What's going on?" he asked as the window opened partway. "Sign told me to take a left. Traffic seemed like it was barely moving, and you don't argue with signs," replied the driver, shrugging off the change in routine.
Blanchard thanked him and returned to his seat, sharing a look with his partner as he buckled himself back in. Something was suspicious about a sign conveniently directing them to a new route. Maybe it was just paranoia from the job, thinking every subtle shift was some nefarious plan in motion. Silence filled the limo as the driver made a third turn, right this time, and Galliano caught sight of the billboard. A brow rose, disappearing into a fringe of graying hair. How convenient, an accident forcing them off the main road and down a very narrow street. At this point even the driver had grown unsure, and the limousine jerked to a stop that had Alexandria huffing.
"Why did he stop here? This isn't the right place," she whined in a petulant tone. Blanchard shushed her as he tried to peer through the tinted windows, Galliano doing the same on the opposite side. "Daddy's gonna be really mad. He said these lessons are super expensive and that if I miss even ONE..." Alexandria said, trailing off to leave the rest to imagination. "Please, little miss, quiet. We'll get you to that lesson even if it kills us," Blanchard said, ignoring the sharp glance from his partner. "Oh FINE. Be that way. I'm gonna tell Daddy, you know. He'll be super mad at you then."
Both men wisely ignored her, especially when the driver's window opened and his pale face came into view. "Gentlemen? If you would..." he said in a nervous voice, gesturing them closer. Obeying, they made sure Alexandria wasn't listening in as they approached the window, faces bearing similar expressions of concern. "I saw the strangest thing... I think there may be someone out there. Something in the mirror, but my old eyes might be failing me. Might you two go check to be sure?" the driver continued, voice low with fright. "Lock the doors after us then, please. And make sure she doesn't try to slip out," Galliano said gruffly. The two bodyguards moved to the back doors and stepped out, closing them quickly before Alexandria could try to follow, her eyes having lit up with interest.
A short scream of rage trailed after them, Blanchard concealing a smile even as they surveyed the area. Darkness had begun settling in during the drive, and Galliano insisted on checking ahead just in case the driver had been mistaken. This left Blanchard to check behind the limo, and he let out a low oath as he spotted Tobias. "Let me guess, you think just because this is a limo that the passengers are loaded, and you're hoping to score a quick buck or two. You picked the wrong car," Blanchard said in a flat voice, eyes hard. Reaching into his pockets, he extracted a Poké Ball and released a Manectric, the thunder wolf peeling its lips back in a threatening snarl. "I'll give you a chance to run before my Manectric rips you into bloody pieces. Your choice."
Attention!
Bodyguard Blanchard has spotted you and demands you battle or run! He sends out Manectric (Level 30)! Quickly take care of him before Galliano returns from his patrol.

Remaining perfectly steadfast in his position, Tobias' singular glare towards the guard coming out of the vehicle would be enough to give most people the heebie jeebies. Saying nothing as the man began to look around for any signs of trouble, Prometheus swished his devil like tail from side to side as he raised a hand to his mouth and sniggered to himself silently. Their trap had been ultimately successful. With the cautious guard eventually picking up on Tobias' presence, the eye patched criminal sighed to himself begrudgingly but accepted this annoying fact. "I should have known there would be protection." Sizing up Blanchard from head to toe, he ignored most of what he had said before he had finished estimating the prowess of this hired protector. Leering his eyes with some disdain, Tobias was fairly certain from the briefing in the mission dossier that whilst kidnap attempts had been attempted on Alexandria before, they wouldn't have too much of a clue as to what was going on with this attempt. Deciding to let the bodyguard get swept along with his bumbling assertion, Tobias spoke out rather plainly. "Ah. That is troubling. I had hoped my plan would not have been so transparent. Curses. Truly I am at the mercy of a being so masterful in their observation."
Not really putting up the best act, Tobias cared little as to the outcome. Either he would be wrapped up in being right or would attempt to dig further but to no avail. They could have had untold riches in transit in the limo but all that mattered for the success of this mission was to kidnap the girl. "I'll assume there is something of worth for this limo to have such staunch protection assigned to it." Feigning ignorance some more, he was surprised to see the bodyguard resort to intimidation so quickly. Watching as he let loose his Manectric, Tobias frowned as he recalled the Electrike that had been faced in the underground tunnel. Prometheus too picked up on this relation and with a jeering mock of his hand pretended to shoot of a fiery bullet in the region of the Pokemon. Perhaps this Pokemon was the in thing around these parts. Shaking it off, Tobias sighed in a tiresome manner. "I would like to see you try. For I have a Pokemon far more savage. You say I will be ripped to bloody pieces. My choice will perform such unspeakable acts that it should be you who should decide to flee."
Taking the Pokeball from out of his jacket pocket, he tossed it forward, quickly revealing his Gliscor, Striker. Clenching his pincers back and forth, the scorpion bat hovered mid air as he cackled away murderously. "Ahahahahahaha~ Delightful night time. Look at how the moon glows~! Mhmhmhm. Oh! OH! Ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? Hm? HM?! No? HAH! Now's your chance~!!" His gold hue eyes glaring at the Manectric, he let out another baleful laugh as he began humming a tune in a particularly unsettling fashion. "♫Ooooooooh how much is that doggie in the windooooow~ How much is that doggie~ The one with the...♫ WAGGLEY TAIL!" Placing emphasis on the waggley tail, it appeared he had something in mind. Nothing of kindness that much was certain. "Enough with the theatrics. Striker. Bulldoze." His voice filled with authoritative command, Striker rolled his eyes but was happy all the same to get the pain dished out. "One Bulldoze, coooooomin' right up! Ehehahahahahah!"

With Tobias' trap successful in the fact that he had led the limousine to be diverted from their usual route and instead down into a much quieter side street, it meant that he had cornered them securely. Such a huge vehicle would have difficulty trying to turn with such little space and no good would come from causing the snotty Alexandria by alerting her that they may very well be stuck dead centre in a trap. She wasn't a dull child by any means. Locked in the car, she tried to glance through the tinted windows, not being able to spot either of her bodyguards due to the darkness outside. Huffing to herself, she sat back and crossed her arms, "If they are not back in five minutes, I am going to tell Daddy!" Tapping her finger impatiently against her arm, she couldn't help but feel a little anxious. Situations like this were not uncommon but there was still the ever looming thought in the back of her mind, reminding the young girl that whoever was out there was likely after her due to her family roots. Tutting to herself, for now, she had to place her trust in the two bodyguards her father had chosen.
For Blanchard, criminals such as Tobias went far back in his own history. Having originally been an enthusiastic policeman, his roles, training and employment went through a lot of different phases until eventually, he had landed himself in his current position. Therefore, he had witnessed first hand many different criminal activities and bore a very hateful glare of his own. If there was one thing he could not stand, it was the evil that plagued this world. "I gave you an offer and you didn't take it. Wrong move, punk." The Manectric who stood proudly by his side snarled it's snout, eyes leering with animosity towards the Rocket. As Tobias spoke out in his less than caring attitude, Blanchard mused under his breath, tilted back his head ever so slightly as he stared down his nose, shadows falling heavily under his eyes. "There's nothing of worth for you in this car. So back the hell off and get out of our way!" Tobias hardly being the type to happily move to one side, Blanchard knew better. This was very carefully planned out and no amount of innocence or ignorance was going to convince him otherwise. The look which bore in the man's single eye was that of a relentless, heartless enemy. There was no doubt that this was going to end badly. They needed to start doing more than merely exchanging words.
A threat being thrown his way, that was finally a clear enough reason for Blanchard to attack. Immediately changing his posture into a more violent stance, with both fist clenched and torso leaning forward as if ready to attack Tobias in hand to hand combat himself, Blanchard was instead going to rely on his Pokemon. For now. "You're really starting to piss me off!" His voice roared with much more emotion than he had said previously. His words akin to that of a mighty boom with a much heavier emphasis on his last few words, his title of bodyguard was about to be judged as their battle began. "Manectric, use Bite! Do not let him get the upper hand!" Moving forward with immaculate footwork and impressive speed, the electric canine growled deeply through it's crinkled snout and made a powerful bound towards the floating Striker. Their height differences meaning nothing, the creature leapt into the air with jaws wide, very quickly clamping down on the body of the Gliscor and forcing him down to the pavement. His fangs digging in deeply and drawing blood, the Manectric yanked his head from side to side as if literally trying to rip Striker apart.
The somewhat manic Gliscor merely finding this amusing, due to his frequent training and evolution, his outer shell was much harder and difficult to pierce than the Manectric had anticipated. A mad glint twinkling in Gliscor's golden eyes as his fangs curled into a horrific grin, he always enjoyed his turn. Lifting his pincer, Striker gripped hold of Manectric by the throat and force the canine off. His grip only getting tighter, Striker then grabbed hold of a paw with his second pincer and took a short fly into the air. Looping once, he shot down as quickly as he went up, building up enough momentum until finally relinquishing his grip, virtually throwing the Manectric into the ground, dragging it around a few laps and then finally letting go. The electric canine's body going limp, it struggled to stand, blood beginning to ooze from it's tightly clenched fangs.

Tobias' only eye widening into a surprised look, he leaned forward and almost had to get the loud mouthed bodyguard to repeat himself. "You didn't just call me punk." Leaning his head back menacingly, he leered his eye tighter shut at being pegged as such a low level form of criminal. Tobias was a man of debonair and suaveness. He oozed a bit more class than to be deemed a punk. "If you wish me to be blunt. Your offer was poor. Of course it would be tossed aside like the zero value it is worth." His eye now shooting its fixation to the Manectric, he cared little for such a snivelling canine whose bark was worse than its bite. As the hotheaded protection spoke out some more, Tobias sighed drearily as he blinked a few times before responding. Not only did he mistake his level of class but he was now playing him the fool. "If there is nothing of worth, why are so you so ready to fend me off then, hm? You can't fool me. I know there is something of value there and I will seize it." His words reaching a head, he noted the guard responding with an attack of his own. A futile effort already Tobias concluded. Watching as the Pokemon pranced forward and leapt upwards to sink his teeth into the Gliscor he had sent out, it would become apparent to the opposition it was a futile effort.
Almost counting to see how long it would take them, Striker instead shrugged it off before grasping onto the Manectric, tearing himself free before slamming the electric beast into the ground and scraping him along the floor in a bulldozing motion. Eventually freeing the poor soul, it went skidding over back to Blanchard in a terrible state. "Oh. How very droll. It's not even into the second round and your opposition is already failing. I expected fiercer resistance than this. Not some drivel from a punk." Placing spiteful emphasis on the last part of his sentence, Tobias glared vengefully. "Striker. Finish off the whelp with Quick Attack." Crossing his arms together, Striker laughed manically as he peered between the middle of his pincers. "Ooooooho! Looks to me as if i'll have that waggley tail after all~!! Hoo hoo! Ehehehahahahahah! Say your prayers poochie! Contrary to popular belief, I hear not all dogs go to heaven~!! Mwahahaha!" Fanning his under wings out, Striker built up enough air to glide forwards on. His golden eyes gleaming with murderous intent, this battle would only act as testament to the psychotic cruelty of Tobias' Gliscor.

Quiet Road | This Psychotic Gliscor was becoming too much for Manetric, and Blanchard could tell. The Manetric had been a dutiful guard dog and companio for years, but Blanchard had never seen him so nervous about another opponent. And now that his speed had been lowered, the Gliscor would prove to be more of a challenge, as it was faster. Manetric growled as Striker teasingly balanced on his own tail a minute. What a scared little Puppy. When Tobias ordered a Quick Attack, the Pokemon took off like a shot, and the Manetric felt the creature slam into its chest, knocking it backwards and it was clear it would not be getting back up. "....Hmm..I don't know why the hell you'd want to do this, but I'm not about to let you." Blanchard didn't have much of an idea of what he was after in the Limo before, but he was starting to get the idea. "Machoke, stop them at once!" He called, sending a Pokeball flying forwards with the muscle-broad Pokemon emerging afterwards with a sharp cry. "You're not going to get away with this. I'm going to make sure of it." -- Battle! Manetric has been defeated! Striker has gained 1500 exp! Striker has also gained +1 Happiness! Bodygaurd Blanchard sends out Machoke (Level 28!) Striker remains at 85% (75/88 HP), will you switch Pokemon? |

Remaining plain and neutral in his demeanour as ever, having got over being called a mere punk, Tobias responded. "Your pathetic excuse of a Pokemon so far is failing to make me believe in your words." Considering how easy the Manectric was disposed of, it was curious to see if the rest of this assignment would turn out to be so easy. Quick to send out another Pokemon as back up for the loss of his Manectric, Tobias waited for the light to dazzle down and took in the outline of the muscled Fighting type that stood before him that was Machoke. "Hmph. A trivial matter." Noticing Striker was all too keen to carry on, Tobias raised a hand and dismissed his Pokemon, returning the Pokemon to his Pokeball he had kept there ready. Striker was one of his tougher stalwarts and he would need him fighting fit if he wanted to ensure this mission was accomplished without a hitch. "Your next choice is doing little to deter me." Shifting his Pokeball with the choice of another, he summoned forth his next choice.
Looming out of the dazzling light came a humanoid figure, one far less muscled as Blanchard's Machoke but still similar in appearance all the same. As the light died down, the Pokemon bucked up its back and leered its eyes while cackling with a disconcerting laugh, swinging its pendulum back and forth. It was none other than Asmodeus. "Asmodeus. No funny games. Take care of this obstacle. Overwhelm this idiot with Psybeam." Flickering his fingers back and forth, the Hypno let out something of a sigh but after finishing rolling his eyes, shifted them evilly towards the Machoke. He would be unable to have any fun but he could at least make this Machoke look like an absolute moron. Stretching his arm forward that held onto the pendulum, his free hand raised to his forehead as he concentrated to unleash a strike of his psychic power. Hoping to put some pressure on Blanchard, Tobias tutted. "Your earlier threat has amounted to nothing. Could it be you've realised you're facing a losing battle?"

Blanchard was secretly unnerved by Tobias but he was not willing to admit it. In his line of work showing any kind of weakness would result in a trip to the unemployment line in no time and he was going to do everything he possibly could to keep his job. With how badly things went with his first Pokemon the type disadvantage his Pokemon had this time around was not doing him any favors and if the strange man was anywhere near as strong as he appeared things were not about to get any easier. As Blanchard watched his opponents Hypno he was not very happy aout the situation he found himself in. Machoke seemed a little more confident on the other hand as it was not about to let anyone push it around no matter how much of an advantage it's opponent had. Machoke punched it's chest with it's fist as it waited for Blanchard to give an order but Asmodeus had already begun an attack. Waving it's charm around the psychic type began to send a series of hypnotic waves towards Machoke. As the waves made contact with the fighting type it began to grow dizzy and nearly fell to the ground as the waves had messed with Machoke's sense of balance. As the waves stopped however the fighting type managed to avoid becoming confused by the waves. As Machoke somehow recovered from the attack Blanchard knew he had to go on the offensive and fast or else this battle would be lost. " Machoke are you alright? That was a powerful hit you took but you need to hang in there. We have to stop this guy no matter what. Use Seismic Toss to teach this punk a lesson." Machoke then ran towards Asmodeus and picked him up before throwing him up into the sky. Machoke then jumped up to meet him before slamming the psychic type into the ground as hard as possible. As strong as the attack was however it was clear that Asmodeus was in better shape of the two Pokemon. Blanchard was not blind to that fact at all but considering his options he did not have a choice but to stay and fight. " This may very well be a losing fight for me but all I need to do is stall you until the police come to investigate and then we will be home free. So go ahead and do your worst I dare you." He said as he secretly wished he was anywhere but here. Trainer Pokemon Battle
Blanchard's Machoke: | Level 28| Health: 27% (25/91 HP) Status: Normal Not ready to give up yet Move: Seismic Toss
Tobias's Asmodeus: | Level 28 | Health: 70% (66/94 HP) Status: Normal, You sure are determined to suffer more than you have to! Move: Psybeam

Watching as the once swaggering Machoke took a stumble and lost its sense of balance, Tobias merely snorted at what would be Blanchard's hopes of succeeding in this fight. A Pokemon down, the next faltering and whatever else unlikely to make a dent, it would be over sooner rather than later. "Of course its not alright. I doubt it had much brains to begin with but Asmodeus has likely frazzled what little means of thinking it had left. Turn tail and run. Nobody will blame you for fleeing from this." His eye glinting with the reflection off the limousine in front, it gave him an unnatural look to his already sinister demeanour. Hearing Blanchard persist on with his futile efforts, Tobias sighed drearily as he placed his hands into his trouser pockets and watched as the muscled Pokemon came charging at his Hypno. With a swift grab and chuck into the air, even Tobias was taken somewhat off guard by just how high he had been thrown. "W-What?!" He spluttered, not quite anticipating the strength the Machoke boasted. And that was with its power in check part in thanks to its belt inhibitor.
Gritting his teeth and glaring as he watched his Pokemon go ever upwards, his Pokemon was suddenly joined by the Machoke as he then grappled on and slammed him downwards to ensure the attack was seen through successfully. As the dust cleared from the fight itself, Tobias had returned to his neutral expression and as it had become apparent that even though he had been manhandled in such a way, the Hypno was a wily foe to contend with. Even though he had been forcefully slammed into the ground, at the last minute the psychic Pokemon had projected a psychic barrier sphere around his body to lessen the brunt of the blow meaning it was a mere scrape he had suffered. Creating distance between themselves, all that could be heard was Blanchard speaking over. Not as if it was something Tobias wanted to hear. "Hmph. You're rather overconfident in thinking you'll be able to delay me long enough. At this rate, i'll be nothing more than a phantom disappearing into the night before that bunch of incompetent monkeys arrive. That is... If they do. I'm sure as you had convenient directions arriving here they too will arrive in a completely irrelevant location."
Receiving something of a hurt cry from Prometheus, Tobias ignored his Pokemon's feelings, continuing on in his response to Blanchard. "You wish for my worst? Do not tempt me, fool." His eye becoming sharp like a dagger, it was obvious what Tobias was tempted to resort to. A quick boot up of Lateralus and all it would take would be a Hyper Beam to blow this loser away. But of course that would risk the safety of the girl. He could still use his programmed creation but he would have to inhibit his attacking prowess. "No. For now Asmodeus will deal with the likes of you and your Machoke." Raising his voice, he made clear his order. "ASMODEUS! Psybeam! Now!" Letting out another devilish laugh, the Hypno twirled his fingers around as a deviant smile spread from side to side of his face at the Machoke. He was prohibited from manipulating this Pokemon in any way but oh the fun he could have if he was allowed even a smidgeon of free reign on how to deal with his foe. Swinging the pendulum back and forth once more, he grasped his head again with his free hand and began concentrating deeply to strike.

Tobias's arrogance - and plethora of skilled Pokemon - was beginning to get on Blanchard's nerves. "If I could talk half as wise-assed as you, i'd probably be getting somewhere in life. Last chance. My Machoke withstood your first attack, I wouldn't piss him off like you're doing me, punk." Blanchard gripped Machoke's pokeball before pointing to Asmodeus. "Machoke, I want that Hypno's head on a platter. Rip it off." He growled, and Machoke flexed it's muscles before growling. It took a few steps forward, visibly labored from the earlier attack, and made for Asmodeus. The brute's hands grappled for the Hypno, but there was nothing there. The Psybeam's effect had taken toll, and Machoke was thoroughly stumped. Pausing for a moment, it was clear that Machoke was off kilter. Asmodeus had been given the order to attack, and attack it did. Taking pleasure in bringing down the brutish, arrogant Pokemon, Asmodeus sent the psychic energy towards Machoke, bringing it to it's knees. Gleefully, it began to drink it's thoughts as an added bonus as the Machoke was held up. It had already fainted, but the attack had hardly taken hold. Releasing the energy prematurely, Asmodeus had barely shifted. Machoke's chest hit the ground first, followed by it's head banging against the ground. It'd probably wake up confused, with no memory of what was going on. Blanchard stood there with a hard gaze. "Two strikes. But for who?" He hissed. Blanchard's Machoke - Level |28| Health: 0/91 Current Status: MACHOKEHAZMUSCLES No Attack! Tobias's Asmodeus - Level |28| Health: 66/94 Current Status: Headgames, man. Headgames. Successful Psybeam!
Asmodeus has fought valiantly, and has gained 1,400 EXP! "Tch..." Blanchard sucked in air as Machoke's body fell to the ground. It seemed as though his plan hadn't anticipated the fall of both Manetric and his Machoke. However, it couldn't be helped. He returned the fallen brute with a quick flick of his wrist, and pulled out yet another Pokeball. "The more you flap your gums, the more time we spend here. Besides, i'm not done yet." The next pokeball thrown revealed a Pidgeotto. Flapping it's wings to keep air, it glared over at Tobias with the same intensity Blanchard had. It took it's job seriously, and was probably used for lookouts. (too bad it wasn't used earlier, eh?) While Pidgeotto was released, Blanchard brought his sleeve up to his mouth and murmured something into it. While it was impossible for Tobias to tell, he was probably summoning the other guard that had scouted ahead. "Let's dance, punk."Bodyguard Blanchard sends out Pidgeotto! (Level 25) Who will Tobias send out?

Shooting him a disapproving look, it was apparent Blanchard was forced into a job such as this as his only biting remark would turn out to be more of a compliment rather than a trump of their conversation. Responding back with just as much venom to his tone, he volleyed back. "Clearly. Otherwise we wouldn't be here having this conversation. Instead you're conscripted into a job even a Neanderthal could do. And failing spectacularly at that. Your Machoke will not be able to do anything once Asmodeus transforms it into a gibbering wreck." Hearing him push his Pokemon on for a strike, Tobias watched with dulled interest as he would be pre-empted and struck at with his Hypno's own attack. As the confrontation ensued, it was apparent there would only be one victor and wouldn't be a Machoke serving up a Hypno's head on a silver platter. Far from it. Recalling his own Pokemon from the battle, he knew he would have to play to the strength's of the tools he had on hand in order to achieve this as swiftly as possible. Placing away Asmodeus' ball, he watched as Blanchard summoned the last Pokemon. Having paid keen observation to the amount of Pokeball's he held, it was very much apparent he was on his last legs. Victory was just a ratty bird away.
Taking in his final choice, he had no fears in facing any difficulty. He had a number of Pokemon he could use to best this but he wanted to go for a clean kill. Sending forth another Pokemon from his selection of Pokeballs, an avian like creature of his own appeared. Booting up, it wasn't long before Lateralus emerged, ready to fight. "And what is this mere hindrance going to achieve? You are a fool." Wanting to see this through as quickly as possible, Tobias began repeating the necessary measures to get his Porygon-Z functional for battle. "Lateralus; boot offensive mode." Whirring and clicking, the Pokemon's unsettling eyes seemed to come in and out of focus as its body changed stance. "Initiate attack protocols. Target parameters: Pidgeotto." Repositioning itself slightly, the Porygon-Z began to focus intently on the enemy Pidgeotto. "Launch offensive move Ice Beam; execute." All too tempted to utilise his Pokemon's unrivalled Hyper Beam, he would be even more of a fool than Blanchard to do so at this point. Such destruction would only bring about harm to the target.

Tobias was proving to be a great thorn in Blanchard's side and as time progressed, his idea of victory was very swiftly slipping away. There had been previous attempts of kidnapping in the form of stupid gangs believing they could get a quick buck. Each and every time both himself and his partner was able to quickly eradicate any possible threat. But Tobias was different. His Pokemon were strong, tongue sharp and was more than enough to rile Blanchard up, past the point were he was able to think logically. Grinding his teeth as he was now left with his final Pokemon, he just hoped that he partner would be able to return in time. There would still be plenty of chances to turn this situation around and with it, save Alexandria and protect her from harm. It was going to be tough but even if his current position was simply to stall, then that was what Blanchard had to do. "Hmph, shut it! I'm not finished with you yet so--" So far, Tobias' Pokemon had been strong but his next choice was just flat out unusual, worrying and even bizarre.
Whirring into place was Tobias' own custom built Porygon-Z. After numerous field tests and upgrades, it had been powered to an incredible, destructive force. One of which Blanchard had no idea how to approach. "What the heck is up with that tin can? No matter, I'll flatten it to the ground!" Shrugging off Tobias' strange words of command, Blanchard chose to do the stupid and ignore Lateralus' suggestive booting sounds. "PIDGEOTTO USE--" Hoping to use the useful ability of Whirlwind to blow this target away or even a Quick Attack in hopes of shutting it down, the speed of this mysterious creature was far greater than that of Pidgeotto. Locking on and firing it's beam, the crackling sound of ice tore through the night air, striking the avian in the chest and encasing it in a cage of torturing ice. Falling to the ground cold and limp, it was impossible for the bird to continue battling.
Pidgeotto: | Level 25 | Health: 0% ( 0/74 HP) Status: Normal ...
VS
Lateralus: | Level 28 | Item: Silk Scarf Health: 100% (103/103 HP) Status: Normal Lateralus used Ice Beam!
Congratulations!Blanchard has been defeated! Lateralus gained 1250 experience and grew to Level 32! (219/3169)
Lost for words, the anger on Blanchard's seething face was as clear as day. Teeth grinding angrily together and fists clenched so tightly that the white of his knuckles could be seen, he was unable to interact further with Tobias as yet another figure had emerged. "Stop. What is the meaning of this?" A more mature, deep voice booming from the darkness, an ebony skinned male stepped up beside Blanchard, sharp eyes sending a look of suspicion to Tobias. "Just in the nick of time!" The dark haired bodyguard chimed in, almost with a hint of relief to his voice. "This punk is trying to kidnap the young miss. We need to get rid of him, stat. I took him down a peg or two but he bested me... I need to rely on you for this one." Perhaps sounding a bit more useful than what he had actually managed to achieve, no matter what, Galliano was only interested in following orders and that was to simply protect Alexandria. Huffing under his breath, the second male selected a Pokeball and tossed it forward. Similarly to Blanchard, he had chosen a fairly tough looking electric type to start things off. "I am your opponent now and I will defeat you."
Galliano has returned from his patrol and is issuing a battle! He sends out Luxio (Level 30)! Please select a Pokemon.

Somewhat pulling a face at how disdainful the sound of Blanchard grinding his teeth together, Tobias could tell with absolute certainty at this point he had got under the skin of this brash hired bodyguard. "Not finished with me? Please. I'm certainly finished with you." Placing heavy emphasis on the end, he was well and truly almost shot of this nuisance of an obstacle in his way. He knew there would be protection in place for the director's daughter but he had no warning just how uppity they would be. Realising his choice of Pokemon had unnerved him somewhat, Tobias merely shook his head as the Porygon-Z began loading up its offensive measures, ready to assault the enemy Pidgeotto with a lashing of the ice beam module. "Hmph." He merely grunted as Blanchard struggled to get to grips with taking him seriously. Moments later the chilling blast of ice was jettisoned from Lateralus' body as it honed in with extreme prejudice having calibrated its target with impressive calculation times. Grumbling under his breath, the chill was something of a double edged sword to Tobias. Picking up on this, Prometheus let out a small grunt as he fired up the soothing thermal properties he possessed. Cradling a little closer to his master's face, the cold was at least nullified and allowed Tobias to continue thinking straight. A shame Blanchard would have no such protection. Having his senses come back to the fore with the blanket of heat now warming his wound up, he was just in time to see the ice constrict the avian in an encasement of ice and come clattering to the floor. "As I said, you're through. Step aside lest you wish to be frozen on the spot also."
Taking a few strides forward, Tobias stopped in his tracks as a second figure emerged. Raising some ire with him, Tobias retorted plainly at Galliano's entrance. "Would this be your backup? Hmph. Hardly the whole squad of Goldenrod's finest you were barking off about. No matter. I've crushed and tossed you aside like the garbage you are. The same shall be done for you." Stepping back once, he returned Lateralus to the confines of his Pokeball. Thankfully no damage had come to his ace and he would be able to rely on him down the line in this quest. Observing carefully with his cold, unforgiving gaze, Tobias failed to even smirk at the next choice of Pokemon. Watching as an obvious Electric type was sent out, it seemed he would be relying on a certain psychopathic Pokemon once more to deal with these dregs. Swapping to Striker's ball, he summoned the floating Gliscor once more, ready to take on whatever mook was next. "Striker. Bulldoze. Deal with this pest." His eye shifting defiantly to Galliano, he would straighten his tie before continuing on speaking. "You are senile, old man. I've just dealt with your younger associate who is no doubt in his prime and even he failed to touch me. You've no hope." Leaning his head back to stare with added intensity, something Blanchard had said piqued Tobias' interest. Or at least he feigned as such. At this point he had not made clear he was here for the girl. Hoping to distance that as his motive as much as possible, he called out Blanchard on his slip.
"Now, now... Whoever said anything about a girl? If you're that concerned though... I'm sure she is of much greater worth than my original goal." Hoping to cause a bit of discord with his colleague, it would the sort of chaos Tobias would prey upon and use to his advantage.

The older bodyguard tried his best to maneuver his words carefully around this young punk, and he stared at Tobias sternly before speaking. "Hmm, and you're an arrogant one for your age. Looking for trouble and now you want your hands on the life of someone. If you want a child, go make your own! You look like the kind who have many exes. You should finish your battle with me before making assumption." Galliano spoke in his masculine deep voice, with a hint of anger or presumed anger echoing in the words. "Now, Luxio, show this young man what a senile old man will do. Use Roar!" Galliano gave his Pokemon an order after Tobias. Striker moved first and his pincer began to glow white. Then, cackling like a mad clown, the flying Pokemon flew downward and pointed his glowing hand on the ground, and created a shock wave in the ground that pushed the Manectric backward. The canine slid on the floor from the powerful Bulldoze, but stood back on his ground later. Though from the look of his movement, it was clear that Manectric was a bit shaken from the attack and had its movement slowed down. Then, the Manectric barked loudly, creating a frequency that sent the Glisor flying back into his Pokeball. The same frequency also shook Tobias's Pokeballs and tossed out another Pokemon. This time, on the field was a rather pointy pod of green plant, spicing up your salad with some crunchy barbs without the crunchiness of a cucumber. "Now, what are you going to do without your ground type Pokemon? If my associate haven't tell you already. You're better off leaving here and run while you can," Galliano commented after the roar, moving his eyes from the Ferroseed and then to Tobias, thinking that no matter what would be up in this Pokemon's sleeve, he would still have to stop this white suit man.
Galliano's Luxio- Level 30 15/85Status: Speed -1 Used a successful Roar! Tobias's Striker- Level 29 78/91Status: None Used a successful Bulldoze!
Avarice (Level 24) was dragged out from Roar! OOC: first time grabbing a rocket thread im sorry if i screw up Striker was previously level 28 and gained 3 max hp from level up, so I add 3 back to the 75 I'm sorry if I'm bad at insult/vocal retaliation battle I'm also sorry if the description of Bulldoze is different from Latani's, but I'm sticking with anime version of the move execution.

Carefully observing the elder guard's reactions, he was clearly bit less of a reactionary than a younger one but that didn't mean Tobias wouldn't endeavour to get under his skin as well. Already he must be at least somewhat flustered by the fact his colleague was dealt with so easily. He'd just need to capitalise on this momentum and use it to secure his quarry. "Hmph. I had no intention of kidnapping anyone until your rather genius colleague bought it up. I see they hired you for your ability as obstacles and not as master secret caretakers." Leering his eye, Tobias rather dully stared down Galliano as he took a rather risky assumption on Tobias' own life. Sadly, it felt completely fat. He had misjudged his entire character completely. Clearing his throat, Tobias blinked before continuing on, roping the conversation back into his control. "Are you done? You scold me for making assumptions when the biggest assumption made in this conversation, aside from your colleague thinking i'm here to kidnap the girl, was the fact you believe me to be something of a... Playboy." Shaking his head, Tobias cared little for beautiful women and chasing them around. They were a mere distraction he had no time for.
"I at least have some basis in my assumption. Therefore making my own assertion far more credible in just how senile you are. It is clear you are long past retirement." Noting the guard's voice raise with a hinting of anger, it was all Tobias needed to know he had successfully got the ball in motion in making them lose control of situation. The first and last rule was to always remain the one in charge and keep a cool head. You fail that and you may as well forfeit in advance. Hearing Galliano cry out, Tobias scrutinised his eye as he watched the two Pokemon contend with one another. It would be a battle of speeds to claim dominance over the other that much was certain. Letting loose absolute havoc with tearing up the ground, it appeared he had exerted a fair taste of power in subduing the Luxio. Sadly, it would not be enough. Barely struggling to withstand the roar himself, he watched as the fearsome sounding cry caused Striker to go fleeing away, knocking another Pokeball and summoning its inhabitant instead. Landing on the ground with a scraping thud, Tobias merely grunted at the inclusion of Avarice. That could have been far worse. "Hmph." His eye flicking up to Galliano as he spoke, Tobias shook his head sternly before retaliating. "And there you were scolding me for assumptions. Something of a hypocrite are we?" Looking to Avarice, Tobias calmly ordered its move. "Avarice. Pin Missile. Take out this nuisance." Spinning around on the spot, it was clear the Pokemon was hardly a mobile fighter but little did most opponents know, each of these barbs could be fired off and regrown. All it took was a careful aim.
OOC: Not bad, just watch out for using the completely wrong Pokemon name. It's a Luxio not a Manectric.
