Summer is here and along with it comes a number of changes to the forum spearheaded by the hot new Kalos Festival. Offering a plethora of rare and exclusive beasties not found anywhere in neighbouring regions; this festival is your chance to stand out from the rest of the crowd with a selection of Kalos imports! Highlights include the Kalos starters and a number of other Kalos favourites up for sale.
Also on the festival's agenda are a number of other attractions that undoubtedly have something to suit everybody. For those looking to bond with their Pokemon and take a time out from the furore of the celebrations; the delicatessen stand offers a range of delectable treats. The sparkling gems of the treasure hunter Garnet and her Sableye are sure to be a hit with a random gem each lucky dip. Dotted around the festival are a number of gacha machines offering the chance to win a Pokemon if you collect 'em all! A number of faces coming from the region of Kalos itself seem to be wandering about and happy to challenge new members who have signed up from 1st of May onwards. Might be worthwhile checking that out.
Moving onto more battle orientated attractions, the feather thrift shop, wonder stand and battle bazaar all have something to lure in aspiring trainers looking to gain an edge in their battling endeavours. Without a doubt, some real goods to be had. Rumours also seem to be floating around of some shady back alley stall that offers a range of overwhelmingly powerful goods. For a price of course... Another new addition also showcases the discovery of Fairy Pokemon! Having recently been acknowledged as an official type, a renowned gym leader from the region is looking to spread the word of the typing. There also appears to be an elderly couple tutoring trainer's Pokemon in cool techniques from this fresh new region.
Last but not least is the special Kalos Lottery. Similar to how the Goldenrod Radio Tower one works, this is a chance for those with little money to up their chances of winning some of the more pricier items. Can't afford X-Boosters or TMs? Then no matter as buying a ticket is as simple as dropping 250 Pokedollars (That's roughly a mere six posts!). An added bonus is one ticket per city visited can be bought to further your chances of winning big. Even if you aren't so lucky and match a small handful of numbers, a generous range of wings are there as consolation. On the other extreme, get an exact match and you could net yourself a special choice of the three Kalos starters! These come with a special move and ability. If you don't win anything in the second week, fear not as this will continue on in two week segments.
If the fervour of shopping doesn't quite strike your fancy, there is also the chance to roleplay with other members at the festival in the universal group thread or in your own groups.
The additions don't stop there. As we're bringing in Kalos and generation six to the forums, a number of existing areas have been upgraded to reflect this. We can't list them all but keep your eye out as you look over old locations and guides as there are sure to be updates reflecting this generational shift. And alas, fear not. Worried a Pokemon you like or feature from generation six isn't included in the festival? Well! You're in luck. Soon to come are a number of epic quests giving you or a group the chance to claim these Pokemon and/or items. Keep your eyes peeled ladies and gentlemen! If you feel there is a definite oversight, as always, be sure to post it there in member suggestions.
See you there! Don't dawdle either, this festival lasts for the rest of Summer!
