CEO of Nintendo, Satorua Iwata dies at the age of 55 due to a bile duct growth. Rest in peace. Really is sad to hear of his passing. Every time he popped up whether it was in a Nintendo Direct, writing or TV he generally seemed like a genuine guy. I always remember reading through his Iwata Asks interviews and enjoying all the insight. Truly lost a great person in gaming today.

I saw this yesterday and it was quite upsetting to say the least. I remember him being so energetic in the Nintendo Direct videos and he seemed like such a great person. I did not know he was the producer on quite a few Pokemon games but when I read that it was an even harder loss to swallow. His loss is a big blow to Nintendo and the industry to say the least. I was glad to see even the Sony and Microsoft official pages express their sorrow over his loss given their usual rivalry and I have to give them both a lot of credit to set aside their rivalry for 5 seconds to acknowledge such a great man. He will be greatly missed.
