Mission Objective: Wanted Pokemon Acquisition
Target: Jarvis the Klink
Trainer: James Harker
Location: Cherrygrove City Streets
His list of completed missions now numbering at a respectable amount, Tobias was certainly rising the ranks. His eye set on the ambition of promotion, he had managed to achieve just over half way to his goal. Having returned to base and dropped off the previous missions targets, he was eager to push on the momentum. Keeping to his section of the underground Rocket HQ, he sat himself down at his computer in order to retrieve more field missions. There were no high priority tasks in need of doing and much to his chagrin, there were no lesser targets in need of assignment. His eye narrowing, he clearly not impressed. "Hmph... Am I to believe a crime syndicate such as Team Rocket has no plans of misdeed, no acts of criminality, no actions of villainy in need of doing?!" Standing up from his chair abruptly, he decided he was going to have a chat with a certain someone. Although, he wouldn't have to go far. Going to seek Lucretia in order to pull classified missions from her, the queen bee herself was walking along the base floor returning to her office. "Lucretia." Tobias stated bluntly as he got up and stood in her way.
Stopping with a despondent sigh, she looked at the obstruction with definite disdain. Upon examining the figure from tip to toe and taking note of their rather fashionable dress sense and eye patch on them, her face lit up with a certain degree of delight. This wasn't just any old delight however. This was one a bully displayed when toying with a victim. "Oh. If it isn't Toby. I'm deeply surprised you're not out robbing a bank or two. Oh wait. That's right. The last time you did a heist you bungled it and ended up in this back water dump. Hah!" Smiling to herself with a disdainful look on her face, Tobias was at least cool enough not to give her any sign of a reaction. Realising she wasn't going to be getting a rise out of him, she dropped her toying tone in her voice and cut to the chase. "What is it. I'm a busy woman. This corporate takeover i'm working on isn't going to take over itself." Pointing to his computer screen, he showed the lack of field missions. "Where are they?" Raising a rather bored eyebrow, she looked at the screen and back to him in a dull manner. "Looks like its empty. Jeez... You needed me to tell you that? Even Garcian could work that out on his own." Shaking her head and about to move on, Tobias sidestepped her exit and made very clear he was smarter than she made him out to be.
"Am I to believe a person in your position of power is not privy to confidential missions? You've seen my recent exploits on the field. Kidnapping and blackmailing are all so very menial. Those are the jobs you trust to a grunt. But I believe we both know i'm greater than that? So... What have you got." Appreciating his ability to get to the point, Lucretia feigned a smile on her burnt face and laughed. "Y'know Toby... You're not so bad after all. Fine. Because you have impressed Harman with your recent performance. That and I have better things do to than idling about here." Pulling out a PDA from her pocket, she quickly shifted through some of the screens and forwarded on a mission to him. "Enjoy. Mission brief will tell you all you need to know." Leaning in closer to him, she whispered. "Don't disappoint me." Having fed him some bait, she took her exit and began strolling off in her heels. "Oh Mr.Dillinger? I hear Mr. Harker is an avid fan of fast food." Walking off out of sight, Tobias cared little for a farewell. Having sat back down and engrossing himself in the mission brief, he soaked up all there was to know. With Prometheus sitting himself on his desk, the eyepatched criminal began to go over the mission.
"The mission is to retrieve a talented computerised interface known as Jarvis the Klink. It appears the Pokemon has special abilities not found in the rest of its species. No doubt part in thanks to this trainer." Pulling up a rather hazy snapshot of the target's owner, he attempted to make out the obscured male's features. It was difficult. This surveillance shot had been done by a drone hovering outside of his building whilst he received his delivery. "James Harker. Computer expert extraordinaire. Is that so?" Scoffing at the man's reputation, Tobias was eager to put his own savant like talents against the trainer. Reviewing further over the file, he surmised some more about this James Harker. "Harker is a recluse. Never leaves the house. A distrusting hermit at that." Furrowing his brow, it began to make sense what Lucretia had mentioned. His face filled with disdain, she realised this was another of her attempts at forcing him into an amusing outfit. "Hmph. If she thinks she can get me a second time with dressing me up in another ridiculous, outlandish costume... She is sorely mistaken." Of course, it would no doubt be a means to an end in gaining entry.
There were a number of fast food outlets in the city which the subject would no doubt contact. All he would have to do is secure a wire tap of his communications and intercept the delivery driver. "No. There is another way..." Drafting up an alternative means of entry, Tobias realised dressing up in costume was inevitable at this point but there was a way to mitigate how foolish he looked. "The Johto Regional Mail... Hmph." Having pieced together the mission brief, it was clear Harker was a reclusive shut in that never left the house. That and he was a computer expert. An expert would no doubt need hardware parts. "What better way to gain entry than instead of intercepting the food delivery, we go for the postal option. It's simple. I bypass his emails, find details of a shipment on its way to him and simply utilise the tracking option to hunt down the courier, steal their costumes and then infiltrate into the target's house." It was a brilliant plan to say the least. Plus he would have his dignity intact.
There was however, one important detail Tobias had missed out on his first read. Reading over the notes once more, he muttered out loud to himself. "Owner's home is possibly booby-trapped..." Brushing it aside, it appeared Tobias had his contingencies. "If he's trapped the outside of his home, he would no doubt include special delivery instructions to the courier so that they are not harmed on their way to his front door. And once inside..." Looking down at his Poketch, he clicked on the summary of his team and selected Lateralus. "We shall see how good his defences are against my abilities as a hacker." Cracking his knuckles, it was time for him to go to work. Before he went into the field, he would need to do his reconnaissance. "It appears this computer specialist has a website for computer repairs... Hm. There's the email. Now to bypass his security..." His hands almost merging with the keyboard in how fast he was typing, he began to tunnel his way in through various exploits. "Almost... Hm?" Stopping, it seemed as if the hacking attempt into the target's email inbox was protected. "What meagre defences does this poser possess?" Murmured Tobias. He wasn't expecting to go in with no resistance but this interference had caught his attention.
OOC: So given this target mission is quite open in its method in securing how the target is secured, i've decided to play up on the fact Tobias is also skilled in the art of hacking against the target's expertise. I hope it doesn't sound too god modding in Tobias breaching into his inbox to get delivery tracking info (Which would probably be a fight in itself when he goes to steal the outfit/goods) but whatever you mods want to do next is up to you. Whether there's some sort of code breaking minigame or a cyber Pokemon fight with the Pokemon representing the cyber defences etc and Tobias sends Lateralus in to conquer it is anyone's choice.
