Darkflame watched his opponent carefully, eagerly awaiting the chance to singe Hoppip’s leafy wings once again. The Hoppip, however, had other ideas and continued to waltz aimlessly in the wind. Waltz aimlessly and angrily, I should say. Like a Hoppip that had just about had enough of battling through the fire and flames. If only Hoppip could actually avoid being carried by the wind for five seconds, it might have looked remotely intimidating at that moment. Perhaps. Probably not. Darkflame seemed to disagree with this notion as it waited for its chance to strike. Meanwhile, the Hoppip manoeuvred its way towards Darkflame slowly but surely, preparing its ultimate attack. For Splash was not always such a useless move. Every now and again, a Pokémon would manage a Splash so powerful – so devastating – that anything in its path would crumble. Hoppip channelled that inner MegaSplash and charged (sort of) at Darkflame, flailing as it had done several times before. The pain was to end, one way or another. No prolonging the fight now. It flopped about and… And… AAAAND… No, of course it still did nothing. What’d you expect? All that build-up just to troll you with a one hit KO from Splash of all things? The Hoppip bopped Darkflame on the nose once more and the Houndour merely stared at it menacingly. With the realisation of what was to come now painted on its face, the Hoppip could only squeal in fear as Darkflame started to open its cute-yet-powerful jaws. With another assertive roar, the Houndour’s response was the same as before. From Darkflame’s open mouth came another stream of Embers which peppered the Hoppip from close range. As the attack connected, Hoppip wondered how things might have gone if it had decided to Synthesise instead. Perhaps it could’ve stalled long enough for the trainer to leave it alone in frustration. Perhaps it could’ve tried for that MEGASPLASH and actually pulled it off. But it hadn’t done that. It had Splashed. It had lost the battle. The pain was finally over, and Hoppip fell. Well, I say “fell”… but it’s no heavier when it’s beaten, so I guess it should really float. Either way, it’s done now. Synthesis? Nah, Blaze, I’m not that cruel.

Sarara smiled as her trusty Houndoor Darkflame defeated the Hoppip who Sarara fought about now. Darkflame smiled and turned to Sarara before a pokeball fell out from his fur. The pokeball landed on the ground and opened out causing a beam of white light to show signalling a pokemon was inside the pokeball. A yellow mouse like pokemon appeared and Darkflame started to jump up and down before realising he was being watched by Sarara. The yellow mouse smiled at Darkflame before speaking. "Dedenne!" The pokemon said before then looking at the trainer beside it. At that moment Sarara's Pokegear went off and she answered it. "Hello? Oh Emily...yes...yes I have them here...Spark is it...OK yer sure I can do that, I am sure Spark will be fine with me...OK bye" And with that Sarara smiled and looked at Spark. "Hello there I hear you are best mates with my Houndoor" Sarara said before getting a nod from bth Darkflame and Spark. "Well Emily said that if you want you can travel with me and get to battle people with your mate. how does that sound?" Sarara asked before then getting a big smile from Spark who ran over to Darkflame and climbed onto his back. Sarara couldn't help but giggle a bit before picking up Spark's Pokeball. "OK you lot lets go find another pokemon shall we?" Sarara said before they all began to walk again with a new member of the team.

Ignoring the felled Hoppip and even finding a new friend in the form of Spark, it seemed like Sarara's adventures were picking up. Darkflame was now boasting new found strength and was no longer the frail pup he once was. It wouldn't be long before the Pokemon could take on the staunchest of foes and come out smiling and the enemy in a crisp, burnt state. As she begun to explore the route for more training material, one such Pokemon would present itself to bat. Crawling out of some nearby tall grass, a rather dainty creature seemed drawn to Sarara and her crew. Raising a hand to its mouth as it titled its oversized ahead, the Pokemon was none other than a Ralts. Uncommon along these parts to say the least. They were also known to be considerably shy. So for it to make itself so visible was debatable. Was it drawn to something about Sarara? Did it pick up on the blossoming friendship between Spark and Darkflame? Was it just plain lost? There were too many possibilities to consider. One thing was certain though, if Sarara didn't act fast, the Ralts would no doubt disappear into thin air. That was another thing they had a habit of doing. Teleporting. Encounter
A curious Ralts (Level 5) appears! Please select a Pokemon for battle.

"Hey isn't that a?" Sarara said looking at Darkflame who had stepped infront of her. Spark after that jumped off and stood beside Sarara signaling it was going to let Darkflame battle this time. Sarara nodded and looked at the Ralts that was in front of them. "OK then you two if you are sure.. Then Darkflame use Ember!" Sarara said pointing at the ralts before Darkflame nodded an began to get his attack ready. Spark on the otherhand just stood next to Sarara smiling as they watched thier freind battle for the first time in forever.

Spotting the uncommon creature, Sarara questioned her Pokemon before deciding to battle the wild Ralts. The psychic type Pokemon were quite fairy like and dainty in appearance, they weren't the rarest Pokemon in the area but it wasn't often that they would appear. Useful in many ways and a good partner for new trainers, it would probably be worth capturing but that would ultimately be Sarara's decision. Her Dedenne standing close by, the two watched as Darkflame took the lead, the intimidating looking hell hound sending shivers across the body of the small Ralts. Still being quite young, the Ralts hadn't yet been able to control the powers of teleportation, meaning that fleeing from this battle was near enough impossible. Darkflame was much faster on his paws than the tiny psychic fairy would be, thus, there was no point even trying. Tilting it's head curiously, the Ralts tried to send its emotions to Darkflame, as if attempting to convince him that he didn't have to battle. But the wild, Feeling Pokemon was able to pick up on the fact that Darkflame wanted to fight, not only for his own sake but for Sarara and Spark too.
Uncertain, the Ralts didn't understand the meaning behind fighting for someone else but by this point, it was clear that the Houndour wouldn't change his mind. Opening his jaw, the fiery canine released a burst of flames, the embers scattering around the fragile looking Pokemon and crisping it's white body. Hopping about to try and put out a flame which had caught alight on the tip of it's legs, the Ralts retaliated with everything it had. Using it's psychic powers, a faint glow edged around the body of Darkflame, who was then lifted off of the ground and dropped with a heavy thud. It's psychic ability was the one way Ralts was able to defend itself in the wild but it didn't look as if it would be working against this opponent. Standing back up without a scratch, the attack had done nothing to Darkflame, who merely growled at the Ralts for attempting such a trick.

"Den ne ne!" Spark called out before Sarara heard Darkflame Growl at the Ralts. "Calm yourself Darkflame...anger can give you power but it can bring one's downfall too" Sarara said before Darkflame looked back and nodded before sighing a bit. With that done Drkflame called out with pride in his voice, "Houndoor!" Sarara couldn't help but smile as Spark copied Darkflame with a smile. "OK then Darkflame how about another Ember!" Sarara called out before Darkflame began to get more hot embers ready to shoot out of his mouth. Sarara wanted to see what this attack would bring before she decided on if it was a good time to catch it or not as it was one Pokemon she wanted.

The add to the confusion of Pokemon fighting for the sake of others, such as this spunky Houndour, Ralt's Confusion attack hadn't done anything to the wayward dog. Confused beyond belief, which was ironic considering the attack it was attempting to use, Ralts hunkered down and attempted to focus and stay alive. It's skin was hot and dry from the Ember attack, and if Ralts wasn't careful, it was going to get fainted here, or worse, forced to fight as this Houndour was. As much as Ralts -tried- to find any ill will within both the Pokemon and the trainer, it couldn't sense any resentment for Sarara, or any bad feelings coming from the trainer. Why was that? This Pokemon was forced to fight! Eager and ready for another Ember, Darkflame obliged his trainer, opening his mouth to scatter his embers across the battlefield once more. Unaware his trainer wanted to catch the Ralts, the ember attack -almost- fainted the poor Psychic Pokemon. The fiery embers seared at it's flesh and Ralts danced away in irregular, jerking motions to avoid the pain once more. Pressing it's little nubs to it's temples, Ralts concentrated and prepared another Confusion attack. Surely the reason it had missed was because it hadn't been concentrating hard enough? The psychic aura circled Darkflame, but unlike last time, Ralts barely had the energy to lift the Houndour off the ground, let alone damage it. Once again, the attack had failed. Looking worse for wear, Ralts struggled to keep it's head up and facing the Pokemon and Trainer. What would become of it? It sensed another emotion this time, fear. It took a moment or two for it to realize it was it's own emotion. Wild Ralts - Level |5| Health: 1/19 Current Status: I... I don't understand! Confusion is ineffective! Sarara's Darkflame - Level |5|
Health: 21/21 Current Status: Easiest. Battle. Ever. Successful Ember!

Sarara was fine with this battle until she saw the ralts after that last attack. It couldn't even lift Darkflame up this time. "OK Darkflame that will be enough..i take ti from here.."Sarara said before walking over to the ralts a bit. She saw the look it had and knew it was fear. "It is ok....don't worry.... sorry for attacking you... i can see your not mush of a fighter are you?" Sarara said kneeling down at the ralts. "Don't worry...if you want you can come with me and learn how to use your abilities.." Sarara continued before getting out an empty pokeball. "If you want to jon me then all you need to do is let this thing here do it's job.." Sarara finished before lightly throwing the ball so it would hit the ralts but not too hard.

Ralts titled its head in confusion when the trainer stopped battling and walked towards it. It was touched by the trainers words, it didn't really want this battle from the start but it was trapped by the bad doggy. It went to press the button enchanted by the trainers nice kind words, well that was until it was told it wasn't fighting. It crossed it's arms in anger it was attacking! It wasn't it's fault that that dog has a big head and couldn't feel its power. But before Ralts could even try and get other attack the ball was thrown. Ralts tried to dodge it, but ducking but the small red and white ball opened up and swallowed the thing whole. one... Two... Three.. Looks like the Ralts is caught. Darkflame fought well and gained 3 levels Darkflame can learn Smog delete a move or give up trying to learn Smog?

Sarara smled as she caught the ralts and was glad to have a new pokemon. She seemed to be going and knew in some more battle Darkflame would be ready for Falkner with his thunderfang and maybe that annying boy from before. But before that happened Sarara wanted Darkflame to be a bit more stronger and have a least one battle with her Spark."Well done Darkflame, some more battles and i think you will be ready to kick bird ass at the first gym" Sarara said to her pokemon before Darkflame smiled back. Spark then got back onto Darkflame's backb before they continued walking once more still looking for some pokemon to fight.

With a new Pokemon joining the ranks of Team Sarara and her current members gaining more experience with each encounter that they met and participated in, the female trainer would be ready to face the local Gym Leader very soon. Doing her research, the girl knew that he was known to be a 'master' of bird Pokemon, meaning that as long as she had a few electric type attacks under her belt, she would stand a better chance of obtaining the badge. The attack known by her Houndour was a bit of a wild card, something that most trainers wouldn't expect. Time would tell if it would end up playing a part in her Gym battle but one thing was for sure and that was the fact that a bit more training was still needed. Thus, with Chic the Ralts pocketed away, the trainer continued on with her search, both Darkflame and Spark following at her side.
Walking through the depths of Route 30, there didn't seem to be many Pokemon lurking in the tall grass. Atleast, another hadn't jumped out at her so far. Sniffing the air, the Houndour tried to pick up a scent but it ended up being Spark with his sharp eyes to notice something. Squeaking loudly, the podgy rodent pointed an arm forward, directing both Darkflame and Sarara's line of sight to witness something most peculiar. At the base of a tall tree was a lone Caterpie and trying with all it's might, it couldn't seem to climb up the bark. Using it's string shot, it tried to lasso itself onto the lowest branch but everytime it had been successful, it began to lift itself up, only for the silky string to snap! Either this Caterpie wasn't very good at climbing or it had eaten one Oran berry too many! Sniffle it's little nose, it turned to see Sarara and her team, jumping slightly before turning to face the trio properly. Looking rather defensive, as much as a bug could be atleast, it appeared to want to battle. Most likely to hide it's embarrassment of being caught.
A wild Caterpie (Level 8) has appeared! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle or Flee!

Sarara noticed the stance the caterpie had tooken and looked at Darkflame who nooded at her. Spark knew what this meant and jumped off his freinds landing in Sarara's arms. With that doen spark went onot Sarara's shoulder where he could watch the battle. Darkflame then stood infront of Sarara and awaited her orders. "OK Darkflame Use Ember!" Sarara comanded remembering her mother say something about bugs hating fire. She hoped she remembered corectly and Darkflame began and get the embers ready to use.

The somewhat embarrassed, yet infuriated, Caterpie turned on the defencive at the sight of Sarara and her Pokemon approaching. It had been trying really hard to perfect its String Shot attack and now it had been interrupted, by a rather frightening looking opponent no less. Spark, the cute little Dedenne, jumped from the hell hound's back and into his trainers arms, to allow his friend more manoeuvrability whilst battling. Stepping forward, the Houndour glared at the lone Caterpie, all four paws ready to pounce. It wasn't the most thrilling opponent to battle but it was atleast better than nothing at all. Darkflame could feel himself growing stronger and if defeating this bug would help him even more, then so be it.
Subtly shuddering to itself, the Caterpie tried to act big by standing its ground but it would've been much better if it had just scuttled off. Opening his jaw, the Houndour shot forth a burst of fiery hot embers, which burnt against the soft, squishy body of the small, green bug. Coiling in pain, the Caterpie curled up and fell onto its side almost immediately, unable to battle at all... That was quick.
Congratulations! The wild Caterpie was defeated!Darkflame gained 3 levels and grew to Level 11! +1 Happiness The wild Caterpie can be captured; Caterpie Name: [choose] Gender: [choose] Level: 8 Moves: Tackle, String Shot Ability: Shield Dust Nature/Personality: [choose]

Sarara just blinked as her Darkflame defeated the caterpie in one attack. "Er.. well that was unexpected.." Sarara said placing Spark back onto Darkflame's back as Spark seemed to like riding on him. Darkflame just simply smiled and felt good about defeating a pokemon that quick. Sarara remembered about that boy she met before and how he was like before. She knew her pokemon had got stronger since then and wanted to show is she strong. With that set she nodded at Darkflame and spark and began to walk around trying to spot the red head with his blue crocodile. "Where is he?" She said quietly to herself before letting Darkflame and Spark know something. "We are looking for a red haired boy OK you two? but remember he doesn't treat his pokemon like I treat you. He hurts them if they don't perform well.."Sarara said before a growl was heard from Darkflame, who didn't like the sound of it. Spark then made a noise which had an angry tone to it. Sarara knew what this meant and knew what they wanted if they found the boy. "Looks like you tow want to fight him if we find him.." Sarara said nodding before continuing her search.

Leaving the charcoal Caterpie behind, Sarara and her Pokemon set off once again, this time with a different goal in mind. Upon seeing the strength of her team, the young girl had been reminded of an encounter she had back in Newbark Town with a vile, red headed boy, who had introduced himself as Silver. Bossing his Totodile around, it was strange that such a horrible human had such a loyal Pokemon, who only wanted to please its master. But Silver refused to acknowledge his Pokemons determination and punished it instead. He had lost the battle last time and now that she had grown even stronger as a trainer, this time, Sarara intended to beat him again. More knowledgeable and experienced around Pokemon, it would be a nice feeling to defeat him again. Brash, negative and an all around horrid person, it was questionable as to why he wanted to train Pokemon in the first place.
With Darkflame and Spark close by, the trainer and her two Pokemon wandered the route for quite some time in search for him. There was even a chance that he wouldn't be in the area but eventually, her persistence paid off. Quite far from the city of Cherrygrove, in the darkest depths of Route 30, an odd, faint sound echoed from the woodland nearby. It was then, that a flicker of a red head would've caught Sarara's eye. It was the same boy, Silver, again! But what was he doing? As she approached closer, the situation became clear. A wicked smirked plastered across his face, the boy had a new Pokemon by his side, a Zubat. But neither of them were up to any good. "That's it! Use Supersonic on the stupid thing!!" Barking orders as usual, the duo appeared to be picking on a lone Bidoof. Using Supersonic to confuse the beaver, it appeared to be crashing around, endlessly hitting itself in confusion, much to Silver's amusement.
Sensing that someone was approaching, however, the Zubat suddenly stopped its attack. "Huh?! Who is there?!" Turning his head, Silver's striking eyes caught sight of Sarara, a sudden smirk creeping across his face. "Ah... An even better practice target." Speaking out loud at a volume enough for the female to hear, Silver left the side of the innocent, spinning Bidoof and stepped towards the girl. Hands dug into his pockets, the boy tilted his head from side to side, as if trying to intimidatingly crack his neck. "Looks like a little lost Mareep has found her way into the wolves den... What? Were you looking for me?" Smirking as he teased out his condescending tone, the boy soon wore a face of thunder. "I haven't forgotten that cheat of a move you pulled last time by using a Potion. Pah. This time, I'll be sure to defeat you!" The Houndour and Dedenne by her side hadn't gone unnoticed but he didn't even want to give her the pleasure of acknowledging her Pokemon. "Zubat, get in there!"
Rival Silver demands a battle! He starts with Zubat (Level 8)!
