Yet another new feature they're showing off. From what's been presented they seem like overkill moves which can only be used once per battle. You also need to have the Pokemon holding a crystal to activate with the Z Ring worn on the trainer's wrist. A lot of the names sound pretty amusing e.g. "Bloom Doom". Not too fussed with this addition all in all. Overpowering, flashy moves are cool and all but it doesn't really revolutionise much. Wonder how the competitive scene will handle them though. More info can be found here.

These have grown on me a fair amount. They've shown some more of the moves plus there's some specific ones like Snorlax's and Eevee's. Hoping for some more unique moves to specific Pokemon.

I really hope they expand out the Z-moves to cover more pokémon than what they did with Megas. Though, honestly, I'm a bit confused why they didn't take this opportunity of super special awesome mega moves and integrate them into the Mega forms they had just introduced last Gen. Moar mega evolutions + this cool new thing! But nope! Now we have some other brand new separate thing to learn.
Some of the moves are kinda interesting, but I've always found watching the animations all the time kinda boring and often turn them off. I may watch them a couple times, but they'll lose their shine real quick. Especially the super long animated ones like Primarina's.

As far as I can tell, Z-Moves are a lot more inclusive in that any Pokemon can have a Z-Move as long as you have the necessary setup which is a huge plus over Megas. Only downside is they have to hold a Z-Crystal(?) which isn't too much of a drawback as if we were deploying a Mega they'd need to be holding a relative stone. Do agree with you on having animations off. It's alright watching things the first and second time around but when you're grinding up levels, seeing BLOOM DOOM for the umpteenth time might get a little grating. Considering how overtop some of these moves are, I wonder if there'll be anything akin to Sephiroth's Supernova for sheer ridiculous.
