Mission Objective: Wanted Pokémon Acquisition Target: Puchi the Diglett Trainer: Mike Digman Location: Union Cave
Enjoying his smoke still having dealt with the mission of revenge, Tobias was making his way back to the extraction point. He'd done a job and a job well done and he was hoping to resume what he was doing before Coyote had interrupted him. That and the cold was starting to settle in. Last thing he wanted was to be snowed in by a blizzard or worse, frozen to the spot. Shrugging it off, he was taken off guard slightly as a sudden ringing sounded off in his ear. As far as he knew, Coyote was the only one who could be bothering him. Sighing, he lifted a hand and toggled the on switch. " If you-" " Ahhh Tobias, my young cugine." Stopping in his tracks, Tobias looked up and down the route he was on before moving off the path to a small clearing he could focus on the conversation. " Harman. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Hating having to put up a pretence of niceties and courtesy, he reminded himself it would only be a temporary effort. After all, Harman was his boss and if he wanted to progress up, this would be his means of doing so. Listening to the raspy old gangster droll on, it seemed there was a proposition. A valuable one at that. " Word is you've just finished a contract Violet side. I got another clip for ya. An associate of ours, he's giving me some agita. Capiche? This strunz has gone on the lam after a disagreement. This jamook could make things very unpleasant for this thing of ours. He's an expert explorer slash digger that helped us construct our grounds." Contemplating what his boss had told him, it sounded like a very large compromise if this individual ever decided to rat out Team Rocket to the police. No longer would they be able to hide under the IPF's very noses. " You need him silenced?" Came Tobias' reply. He had already offed one person today, what was another? " No, no. Not silenced. I just want to make sure the chiacchierone understands his position. A mock execution. You rough him up. Take a Pokemon dear to him. I'll let you come up with the rest. I thought this associate we could trust. Che peccato. You do this favour for me Tobias, my cugine, i'll make sure you a made man." For Tobias, this was an offer he couldn't refuse. " Understood. Send me over the dossier and i'll follow this through." Letting out a wry, wheezy chuckle, Harman signed off. " Good. I always liked you Tobias. You remind me of a saying us older mobsters spoke of. 'Col tempo la foglia di gelso diventa seta.' You'll go far." Cutting off, Tobias looked over his C-Gear as it seemed the mission details had arrived in record time and began to plot the next operation. It seemed the last sighted appearance of this Digman was in Union Cave. Looking up as he noticed snow beginning to fall, it seemed he had no choice. At least in Union Cave he would be safe from the perilous weather. " Mike Digman... Puchi the Diglett... Hiding away in the caves... Expert knowledge of the cave structure..." Murmuring out loud to himself as he digested all the information he could, Prometheus leaned in closer, trying to peer over some of the details himself. Taking a final dreg of his cigarette, he took it out of his mouth before flicking it off aside. " Time to return to Union Cave." He had spent some time there before so he felt confident he had some understanding of the cave system but it would all rest on just how deep down the rabbit hole this Digman was located. OOC: Tobias heads for the cave entrance.

Learning the brief points to the mission, Tobias made his way towards Union Cave. Although he would've preferred to make the orders rather than receive them, for him, Harmen was his superior, meaning if he did well there was no doubt that a worthy reward would be waiting for him at the very end of it all. The raspy, elderly gangster had asked Tobias to handle a employee gone rogue. Someone who had once aided in the plans and creation of the underground base. Someone who likely knew the building in and out but now refused to work for Team Rocket would likely end up being a thorn in their side. Thus, he needed to be silenced, in one way or another. He knew far too much information regarding Team Rocket but his death would be far too obvious and lead to an investigation. So if Tobias wanted to keep Harry off of his back, he needed to handle this from a different angle. As Harman suggested, taking something dear to him to hold as hostage would do the trick.
Manoeuvring through the falling snow, Tobias was already in the general area after taking care of Li Shao, so it wasn't long before the peak of the cave came into view. Following the dirt path, he passed the last Pokemon Centre of the route and began to make his way around to the entrance, where his one eye would've been able to spot something that could hardly be missed. Standing at the entrance was a lone Nosepass. The Pokemon itself was a very rare sight but the way it stood, looking from left to right, was almost as if the creature was guarding the entrance. Could this be a wild Pokemon looking for a fight or had it been left there by the target? Regardless, if Tobias wanted to tail Mike Digman, he would need to get rid of this Nosepass. By defeating it in a battle or shooing it off with a worthy distraction or special attack, it was once again up to Tobias to handle the situation.
A Nosepass (Level 24) blocks the entrance to Union Cave! Find some way to force it to move on or defeat it in battle! This Pokemon cannot be captured.

Stopping short of the cave entrance, Tobias narrowed his eyes to focus his line of sight on what appeared to be a lone guard. Not just any guard. This one was a hunk of rock, almost as if sporting a large nose. Patrolling left to right, left to right, left to right, it was an endless waltz between the two. It was clear this wasn't just a wild Pokemon but belonged to a trainer who had set this up on guard duty. "Perhaps Mr. Digman is expecting company." Drawled Tobias. It mattered not. If this assignment would finally boost him up another rung of the ladder he was so eager to climb, he would make sure this next push would be flawless. "It's time some tools proved their worth." He concluded derisively, leading to Prometheus to let out a worried sigh in belief his master was referring to him. Was warming his face and picking off enemies not worth enough? Thankfully to the fire simian's relief, Tobias was referring to other weapons in his arsenal. Strolling forward with confidence oozing from every step, he was not going to be deterred by this sentinel that had been placed.
Within closer proximity, Tobias stood before the creature which turned out to be a Nosepass and stared it down coldly without uttering a single word. As if sizing up the Pokemon, he could tell it was a tough specimen. He had acquired one of his own and it was obvious this one had been trained up to a high standard. Reaching into his jacket pocket, he pulled out a single, shrunken Pokeball. "Your turn to earn your keep." Unenthusiastically tossing the device forward, it burst open in an array of dazzling light and summoned forth none other than Mr. Bear. Landing with a small thud, the nervous looking bear raised a paw to his mouth as he looked inquisitively around before his eyes settled on the stone faced Nosepass in front, causing a slight revulsion of shock on the ursine. "Your partner has proven to be of some relevance. Now, lets see what you can do." Making sure the Teddiursa was clear this was an evaluation of sorts, the bear quivered slightly as it meant things could go disastrously wrong if he failed to impress.
From what time he had spent with Tobias, he could tell he did not tolerate failure. "Attack." Ordered Tobias in a monotonous voice. Deliberately avoiding the opportunity to help guide Mr. Bear, he wanted to see what the bear would resort to, what sort of initiative it would have in standing on his own two feet. The criminal wasn't going to have dead weight tying them down. Blundering, the Pokemon simply turned to look at Tobias, eyes welling up as it was clearly lost on what to do next. It was only when Prometheus snickered with a devilish grin on his face and muttered something the bear understood that it decided to take action. Shaking nervously, the bear did its best to assume a meek battle cry that fall short in intimidating anyone and stumbled forwards. Opening up his mouth, he was going to use a fearsome Lick attack to prove he wasn't a waste of time. He usually received tons of praise from his circus owners when he was back with them. Last thing he wanted was to be abandoned having spent so long holed up in that prison like gacha machine. Tobias' eye narrowing as he discerned the Pokemon's movements, it seemed he was far from impressed from this initial engagement.
OOC: Sends out Mr. Bear and uses Lick.

As Tobias began his confident approach, the sound of footsteps crunching against the dirt path immediately alerted the patrolling Nosepass. Turning in a mechanical, stiff twist, the large chunk of rock examined the strolling man. It's not as if it was able to distinguish the difference between a traveller and potential threat but the aura which ooze from Tobias was enough to warn the Pokemon that danger was approaching. Instantly taking a more defencive stance, the lone Nosepass was prepared to protect its master, by any means necessary. Tobias was no exception, the dangerous individual and his Pokemon would feel every ounce of wrath and loyalty from the Nosepass. Although, the Nosepass appeared to lose a bit of its spark at the sight of his Teddiursa. Watery eyed, the young bear looked so helpless and innocent, it was a wonder why such a man even had it in his possession.
Almost hesitant to battle such a tiny creature, the Nosepass shook such thoughts away. Appearances didn't mean anything when it came to battling, it was all down to the strength of a Pokemon. With a push from Prometheus, the dear Mr. Bear tripped forward to initiate an attack. Coming from a very different background, this sort of thing was unusual for the Teddiursa but he needed to comply in order to please his new owner. Gulping, the bear approached the Nosepass and gave the rock a lick. Not really noticing anything, the Nosepass was just an unimpressed as Tobias. With a stomp, the Pokemon flung its heavy body forward, colliding into Mr.Bear with a painful looking tackle. Rolling across the ground, Mr.Bear managed to flip back up onto his feet but if the battle continued like this, Tobias wouldn't be getting anywhere.

Picking up on some faint hints of the Nosepass almost entertaining thoughts of sparing the tiny teddy bear Pokémon, Tobias curled his lip angrily. "Do not take me lightly." He warned. He realised such a wimpy Pokémon was doing wonders to his image but he would ensure this Pokémon was toughened up and made into a fearsome tool that was to be respected. Despite his machinations, it seemed there would be a long way to go with hazing these fledgling recruits. At this rate, he was well and truly ready to shove them back into the gacha machine from whence they came. Observing the bear closely as he waddled forward, Tobias was hoping for some of that overwhelming power he had witnessed on occasion from the bear in previous tussles. No such display would unfold. Leaning forward and giving the Nosepass a good look, Tobias gripped his arm as he stood there with his arms crossed, his eye narrowing with angered disbelief. "...Is this a joke?" He muttered ruefully. "I'm not laughing." It was possible this bear was testing the criminal in actually dumping it somewhere and being done with it.
At the very same moment, the Nosepass retaliated backwards. Or rather, it struck the bear for being in such close proximity of its being. There's no way such a pitifully weak attack made any sort of impression on the living statue. Sending the bear tumbling forward, Tobias watched as Mr. Bear landed by his feet. Quivering with panic, the Teddiursa looked up only to quake further as he saw Tobias' draconic eye boring down at him from above. "...When I say attack... Actually strike at the opponent." Scared of the man, it was thankful Prometheus was about. Leaning forward from Tobias' shoulder, the persuasive monkey began to natter away as if coaxing the Pokémon along with some silver tongued speech. As the fire monkey finished, it was only then that the teddy bear stood back up once more, still shaking, but it stood all the same. Turning to look back at the Nosepass the Pokémon let out a little tearful huff as it went charging on ahead. This time it wouldn't use any of its cutesy charms, it'd do like the Pansear said and give the opponent everything it had. It's eyes shut tight as it ran forward, the Pokémon let out its stubby claws and made a swiping Scratch at the enemy.

After the tackle attack, the Nosepass steadied itself and gave the group a blank stare. The cute, toy like Teddiursa was hardly an opponent in the eyes of the Nosepass and despite Tobias' earlier warning, was not ready to class them as true opponents. Coming across as if it were lowering its guard, the Nosepass released a deep grunt, stomping a few paces backward. Looking ready to return to its original place of guarding the entrance to the cave, after a bit of a pep talk, Prometheus and urged the bear to push on. Meaning, that the match was still active.
The mound of rock peered over at the Teddiursa, questioning Mr. Bear with its glance, as if asking if it truly wanted to continue with the fight. Its rock hard body could take any scratch, bite and lick from something as puny as him but Mr. Bear couldn't afford to be beaten. Tears in his eyes, the Teddiursa ran forward, arms flailing in circles. Not particularly intimidating, the Nosepass didn't move an inch, allowing its foe to approach. But as the claws of the bear clashed against its sturdy body, the over sized nose let out yet another grunt. Nothing will change here, it was a waste of time. Not holding back, the Nosepass pushed the Teddiursa off, turning to pummel its arms into the ground. Lifting up a mound of rocks and earth, the living statue threw it all down on Mr. Bear.

The tiny bear was failing in a spectacular fashion. Considering the fact that Tobias was using this battle as a means of testing the Teddiursa's worth and prowess, it was damning to say the least in what Mr. Bear was serving up. Given free reign to do its absolute worst along with some silver tongued coaching from Prometheus it had so far pitiably licked the stone faced golem and then proceeded to lash out at it with its weak, baby claws. Observing carefully with a watchful eye as the Pokémon neared and attacked, Tobias let out a drearily fed up sigh as it was very much apparent the scratch had barely even made a mark on the stalwart Nosepass. "Laughable. Absolutely laughable." Scrutinising his one eye into a tempestuous glare, he continued his sentence. "Except i'm not laughing." His ire would only worsen as it seemed the guardian that had been erected by the target had decided to retaliate full force with an attack of its own to juxtapose Mr. Bear's poor attempts. Shoving the bear backwards onto his rear, the Nosepass viciously struck at the earth before lifting its arm like appendages back up into the air. Having broken up some stony clumps in the ground beneath them, it meant a sliding downpour of rocks was to follow. Battered mercilessly, Mr. Bear was hit with every clump and sent flying backwards ungracefully to where Tobias stood.
Not showing on ounce of pity, Tobias kick up some dirt which had displaced itself near him back at his own Pokémon. "These are designer shoes i'll have you know. Do NOT make them dirty. You're in enough trouble as it is." His patience now at an all time low, Tobias shook his head and made it very clear the Teddiursa was in trouble. "One more turn. One. More. Turn. If you don't meet my expectations, that'll be it." Failing to elaborate on what exactly 'it' would be, the tiny bear simply welled up with tears in its eyes as it looked to everyone present at the battle for some show of sympathy. It would find none. Tobias merely bore his sardonic gaze into the bear's own, the Nosepass was cold and unforgiving in its stare. The only semblance of support Mr. Bear could see was from Prometheus. But even then there was a devilish glint in the simian's eye as he covered his snickering mouth with a paw. "Attack." Came Tobias' coldly command. No support or guidance was held within this single word. It was only from Prometheus' indecipherable mutterings to the bear that things seemed to click. Standing up, the Pokémon's bottom lip trembled as he stumbled forward unpredictably. Pushed on by the Pansear's words, it was clear the Teddiursa was upping its game and going with a feint attack. The worse things got, so too did Mr. Bear's out lash. It seemed Prometheus had picked up on this and only time would tell if Tobias could put the two together.

The white clad trainer remained cold to the timid little bear. Tears welling in its eyes Mr. Bear was becoming a little frantic as he looked all around for support of any kind. The attacks were building up and nothing he had done so far seemed to be working against the silent sentinel Tobias wanted removed from their path. But, there were still things the cuddly bear could attempt and by golly was he going to make the effort if for no other reason than to not be crushed under another tackle of the heavy behemoth. Mr. Bear shifted toward his opponent; less hesitant than previous rounds but still with a spec of uncertainty. Little white claws outstretched it looked like he was going for another simple scratch again but at the last moment the feint was revealed, leaving the rocky guard unprepared. With a sudden jolt to the side Mr. Bear lunged upward to catch his claws against the bright red nose jutting out of the Nosepass' form. Then, in quick fashion, pushed off of the sturdy body to escape the rock pokémon's immediate reach in case it decided to topple down on top of him. Nosepass grumbled in discomfort as its magnetic key was damaged, its stubby little arms shifting upward as if to massage the sensitive wound. It hadn't been expecting such a move of finesse from the crying fluffball but overall the Teddiursa still hadn't proven much of a threat. Feeling a twang of pity for the pitiful bear Nosepass decided it was best to get this over with quickly. The compass pokémon leaned to the side slightly then jumped, slamming into the rocky wall and causing a small array of rocks to dislodge and tumble down. The clumps of hardened earth bounced off of jagged jumps on the wall and rocketed toward Mr. Bear. A few he managed to dodge, but the bulk of the rocky projectiles collided with his small body.

His interested now renewed in the bear's efforts as he revealed a cunning feint attack, Tobias remembered back to when he had first summoned the bear in a fight. "Ahh... That's correct. It was only after a series of pestering from its associate Zanzibar that the bear unleashed a tumultuous frenzy... Hmph." Realising it seemed as if the bear was limited in the sense that he had to work it into an aggressive mood, he was at least prolonged in his patience that the next frenzied outburst was about to unfold. Having caught the Nosepass off guard and weakened it further, it appeared to be adequately softened up. Only problem was, Mr. Bear had taken so long in getting around to working up his berserker frame of mind that he was in a considerably worse state than what he was trying to defeat. Suffering from another downpour of rocks from the Nosepass, the bear went tumbling backwards, trembling with sadness and anger.
Now laying before Tobias once more, his master looked down at him with an unforgiving eye. "Get up." Ordered Tobias. There was no sympathy or support in his words. He had endured such a mediocre display of battling and wasn't going to wait any longer. He wanted to see this bear show his true potential. "Destroy that meddlesome rock." Conveying Tobias' order, Prometheus nattered out vociferously but it seemed to have little effect this time. Before Mr. Bear had gone moving over after the fire monkey had persuaded him too but this time, he simply stood there, arched over, his face looking downwards and his stubby arms hanging by his sides. "Hmph. Pathetic. As expected, nothing but a failure."
Folding his arms, Tobias knew it would need one final stab to get the bear in action. "Once i'm done with this mission, I suppose i'll have to donate this waste of space to R&D. No doubt they'll struggle to find anything of worth when dissecting this abso-" Abruptly stopping mid sentence, it appeared Tobias' harsh words had done the trick. Letting out a heart wrenching cry, the Teddiursa went flying forwards with extreme prejudice, flailing his claws around as he struck about in close combat. "Hmph. This is what I was anticipating." Observed Tobias. It seemed the bear's ultimate move had been triggered.
OOC: Mr. Bear finally snaps and uses Close Combat.

It seems that the man's prodding had finally done the trick, spurring Mr Bear into a proper ursine rage against the stupid rock! With speed almost unnatural to the small mon, it lunged forward to deliver a powerful attack! Paws glowing with energy, it repeatedly smashed into the rock over and over again, as though defeating it was the key to success and acceptance from others. ...Unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough. Despite the almost hilarious flailing from the rock, it seemed to be hanging on by the skin of its teeth. Well, figuratively. With its flailing, it soon begun to lift up assorted rocks in the general area and flung them at poor Mr Bear.

A slight difference in the way Tobias observed the battle, it was obvious that all this goading and antagonising had finally made Mr. Bear snap. With any luck it would mean the end for the Nosepass and they could resume the search for this turncoat. Unblinking as he watched the bear mercilessly smash and pulverise the stone golem, it was clear he would have to devise similar means of unlocking the Teddiursa's full potential in battles yet to come. "Right, now if we're done h-?!" Unable to finish his sentence, it seemed as if Mr. Bear hadn't quite been pushed to the ends of his limits. Feeling he was capable of more, the whole matter fell flat when it seemed the Nosepass opponent had a lot more staying power. Somehow barely clinging on, it meant this entire test of usefulness had been sealed with a massive failure.
Panting heavily, feeling exhausted from the outburst it had just poured out from all the bottled anger, Mr. Bear had also been under the impression it had been enough to end his foe. A little hesitant as he stared at the still standing body of the Rock type, he began to scan upwards, inch by inch as he looked up to lock eyes with the cold, unforgiving stare of the creature. His bottom lip trembling and a flood of tears welling up in his eyes, the Pokémon knew this not only meant a savage knocking out but also the knock on effect it would have after the battle was concluded. No doubt the horrible things his master had hinted at would come true. Or worse. The bear was all too aware Tobias had a cold imagination about him in order to produce such twisted punishments.
Taking a turn and beginning a retreat, the Teddiursa attempted a getaway. But with his back turned, he was easy pickings for the unrelenting nemesis. Flailing his arms and sending a flurry of rocks into the air, they came sliding down like a rain of destruction. Knocking the Teddiursa flying, the Pokémon eventually landed to the aside behind Tobias. His eye now glaring into a death laser, it was clear he was unhappy with both sides of the battles. The Nosepass for being such a stubborn guardian to the caves but also his Teddiursa for failing on every front to impress him. He had an unnatural power innate to him but he was unable to make use of it. "I'm not surprised." He said coldly. At least when it came to ridding himself of the ursine he could find a suitable replacement. One that could pull their weight and hold their own.
Given how weakened the foe was, it meant for easy pickings. Forgetting to recall Mr. Bear, Tobias went straight into his next choice with a defiant command. "Yin!" Summoning the crazed husk, it was a potential recipe for disaster given how poor its staying power was in battle but it would all be over in a few moments. Taking the opportunity, Tobias began to indulge in a cigarette as he reprimanded the enemy. "Try as you might, this ends here. Your trainer was a fool to leave you out here in the open. I'll make sure you rest in pieces." Continuing on, it seemed Prometheus took this opportunity to act as crafty as ever. Putting some stock in the Teddiursa still, the fire monkey delicately swung off from Tobias' shoulder and landed gracefully by the unconscious ally. His devil like tail swishing in front of him to the side, it appeared to be clutching onto none other than a revival herb. An item he had procured from Tobias' inventory as he departed from his shoulder just then. Placing the herb in the bear's mouth, the Pansear stood back and quietly snickered to himself as he raised a paw to his mouth. It would be just enough to get the bear in the fight. And with how harshly he was beaten, there was no doubt this would be the catalyst to unlock the true berserker within.

Mr. Bear was almost.. happy to be allowed the sweet respite of rest. If one could call being knocked out 'resting'. And as such, he wouldn't hear the order being given, or the other mon being sent out. All he would very suddenly taste is the incredible bitterness of an herb stuffed into his mouth. And it would do the trick, bringing the bear back to consciousness once more.
On the other hand, Yin was not so lucky. The cheeky rock would recoil ever so slightly at the man in white's commentary before answering in kind, delivering a Rock Slide unto the ghost in the shell. And Yin was oh so frail, going down from the attack.
Yin has fainted!

About finished with his monologue, Tobias was finally ready to brush aside this troublesome statue and proceed with the mission. "Yin, fin-WHAT?!" Taken by surprise, it seemed he had spent so long steaming off his vehemence that the Nosepass had taken advantage of the delay. Whirling into action and letting another onslaught of rocks at Tobias' team, he was helpless to stop his ghostly husk from biting the dust once more. "Hmph... Perhaps I am ill equipped for such a mission." His hand reaching out to recall the fainted creature, his hand returned, delving into his pocket for another Pokémon. Ill equipped he may have been going from one mission to the other without so much any time for prep work, he at least had some numbers on his side. Withdrawing a Pokéball to send in another tool to pick up the slack, he would hesitate, feeling an ominous sort of feeling behind him. It was a bizarre sensation. As if the very atmosphere around them had been soured by some foul manifestation.
"Now what..." He grumbled, turning his head over his shoulder only to react with a look of disbelief. "Impossible!" He declared. Standing there, worse for wear but somehow back in the fight was none other than Mr. Bear. Bruised, battered and his fez displaced, it was a real surprise for Tobias. Slouching forward, a shadowed veil concealing his expression, it wasn't enough to hide the Pokémon's unyielding rage. The berserker within had been finally tapped into. "About time! I was quick to write you off but if you can enrage yourself to fight beyond the brink of unconsciousness..." A wry smile almost seemed to settle on his lips. "Destroy him!" The bear didn't have to be told twice, storming forward in a breakneck flurry, the Pokémon was going to unleash all of his berserker rage in close quarters combat. "Close Combat!" Commanded Tobias as he flung a pointed finger at the stalwart guardian. Little did he know of Prometheus' intervention but at the very least, it seemed the meddling monkey had assigned some worth to Mr. Bear.

Too busy dispatching with the second pokémon sent to oppose it, the silent compass guard was just as shocked at the resurgence of the little bear. It hummed its pity for the poor creature, however, as Mr. Bear started forward it became apparent there was something wrong; something different. Whatever glimpse of the beast that had surfaced before Nosepass' attack knocked him unconscious had now fully risen. The ugly inner monster had overtaken the sweet cub, stepping hard and sloppily as it gunned forward with a blood lust shining in its darkened face. At Mr. Bear's skin crawling roar the sentinel tried to move into action, its rocky limbs grinding lazily against its body as the weight of its wounds set heavy on it. It wasn't fast enough. The smaller critter pattered up and began tearing into the rock pokémon. Fist after fist, skittering along to Nosepass' back to deliver kicks and keep his opponent off kilter. It was nothing less of over-kill. Eventually Nosepass was allowed to fall to the ground as if it was a plain slab of rock, nose digging into the ground like a spike. Mr. Bear stood, hunched and panting, victorious on Nosepass' back with needle claws extended and primed. VICTORY!
Mr. Bear unlocked his inner bear and grew to Lv. 28! He gains +1 Happiness! (Assuming Revival Herb effect already updated from last round) Mr. Bear would like to learn Play Nice, delete an old move? Zanzibar got the chills, but seems inspired by his friend and grew to Lv. 19! Zanzibar would like to learn Endure, delete an old move? Nosepass is no longer blocking entry to the cave! Tobias may proceed to his target

Basking in the fearsome roar of the cub, Tobias realised he would have to devise a fool proof strategy of being able to tap into this bear's inner beast. Having made short work of the distance between them, Mr. Bear unleashed his frenzied assault, his very claws chipping off portions of the stone creature's body, sending debris flying everywhere. It was only when the final strike was launched that the explosion of damage seem to take hold of the Nosepass, causing it to recoil before tumbling forwards, lifeless like a stone and embedding itself in the ground. " Hmph, about time." Commented Tobias. He was pleased such a nuisance of an obstacle was taken care of but it was at such a lengthy cost. Observing Mr. Bear hunch over the fainted Nosepass, breathing heavily as his diminutive frame buoyed up and down, Tobias shook his head and was ready to recall him. " Enough, i'll return you unti-Hm?!" Unable to finish his sentence, a sudden expulsion of light emerged from the bear, blinding all of those in the vicinity. Pulsating rapidly until it reached a crescendo, the glow died down, revealing a much taller, intimidating bear in the cub's place. It appeared the strenuous fight had pushed Mr. Bear over the edge. Thrusting his clawed paws to his side, the ursine looked up to the sky and let out a blood curdling roar as if to signify his superiority over the foe. Raising a foot, the Pokemon began to stomp down mercilessly on the enemy, forcing him deeper and deeper into the ground. A final hefty stomp later, the bear breathed heavily with a crazed look etched into his expression. " Ahh... It would seem the crybaby has finally grown a spi-!" Hearing the voice of the man who had caused him so much grief and pain, it made Mr. Bear realise he had one more problem to resolve. Shifting around, he slowly prowled forward, his vicious claws thirsty for their next victim. " Fool, stop! You dare rebel against me?!" His jibe countered by a deafening roar, Tobias began to take some steady footing backwards. It was at this point Mr. Bear launched himself forward but an unexpected twist stopped him in his tracks. Having swung himself off of Tobias' shoulder with an acrobatic somersault, Prometheus landed between them, putting up his paws to get Mr. Bear to stop. Amazingly, the bear stopped in his tracks. As if feeling indebted to the simian's help in the last fight, the Ursaring relented, giving Tobias enough time to recall the beast. " Hmph... It seems my conditioning may have pushed him into too much of a berserker. I'll have to work on that." Rolling his eyes, Prometheus seemed miffed by the lack of gratitude but reconvened on the trainer's shoulder. " Enough time has been wasted here, no doubt the target has delved deeper into the caves. Come, we search for this cretin." Dusting off some dirt from his suit, he proceeded into the cave itself now there was no protector halting them. OOC:
