[Marchbaby]

As soon as Kamikaze finished off the wild Pidgeotto in a single blow Bonecrusher walked over towards Marchbaby trying his best to jump into the young man's backpack. Though Marchbaby did not know why Bonecrusher wanted to get in his backpack so badly he could not say no to the little steel type. As soon as he placed it on the ground Bonecrusher buried his nose as deep as it would go until he found what he was looking for. The wrappers of two rare candies flew out of his backpack as Bonecrusher feasted on them. After a few seconds the young dinosaur started to glow.

" LAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRROOOOOOONNNNNNNN" he said as his body stopped glowing and changed shape and size. The energy provided by the rare candies allowed him to evolve into a Lairon. Marchbaby could hardly believe his eyes as little Bonecrusher was now far larger than most of his other Pokemon. The armor surrounding his body had grown thicker as well increasing his defenses and the size increase raised his physical strength as well. Marchbaby finally worked up the courage to speak to his newly evolved Pokemon after a few minutes as the shock finally worse off. " Bonecrusher I wish I would have known those two rare candies would have been enough to make you evolve. I would have given them to you sooner." He said as the young dinosaur stretched out his legs trying to get a feel for what his new form was capable of.

As the rest of Marchbaby's Pokemon continued to look on in amazement Kamikaze kept a level head as she did not doubt that the loud road Bonecrusher performed once he evolved would likely cause uninvited guests to check out the noise and she was not going to be caught off guard no matter what. As she kept watch Marchbaby could hardly stop himself from freaking out as he had known Bonecrusher as an Aron for so long that this new form was quite a shock to him as happy as he was to see his Pokemon grow stronger. He could not wait to find something that would prove to be a worthy foe to see if Bonecrusher could gain any more strength in the area before they moved on to another training area.

In the tall grass near by to Marchbaby, a rustling could be heard of a Pokemon but it would easily been missed as Bonecrusher was evolving. The small Pokemon heard the sound of Bonecrusher scream and in fear it nodded his head. An all to well noise was heard, as the Pokemon teleported in fear. Infront of Bonecrusher.

Oh no in fear it didn't notice where the sound was coming from and headed straight for the sound! Quickly think fast before it teleports away!

A wild Abra level 17 has made a terrible mistake!
Will you fight or flee?

The surprising appearance of an Abra startled Marchbaby though only for a moment. He was not an expert on their species but he knew they could teleport away if you did not react fast enough. As Marchbaby tried to think about which Pokemon to use to preven its escape Atropos floated in front of him staring at the psychic type. She had been wanting another battle and Abra was the perfect victim as her Shadow Sneak would allow her to get the jump on it before it could escape. As her deathly stare continued to unnerve the Abra she began to speak to it trying to make it regret such a dumb mistake.

" My, my you've met with a terrible fate haven't you? Being my next victim due to a boneheaded error that so easily could have been avoided with just a tiny bit of thought. Such a pity I must destroy you know as your powers may have been useful once you evolved. I do hope your are a masochist as you are in for a world of pain." As she finished her speech her eyes began to glow blood red and Marchbaby knew what would happen next. As he tried to open his mouth to order her to show mercy she had already slipped into the shadows ready to make her next move. All he could do was wait knowing the poor Abra was in incredible trouble.

As he shadow rushed across the ground Marchbaby began to talk to Abra to offer it his pity. " You poor thing, I wish I could get Atropos to show some restraint but alas once she gets like this there is no hope of stopping her so all I can do is hope she makes this a quick blow. I really need to let Kamikaze have at her one of these days just so she will see what it is like to be bullied." As he continued to watch Atropos get closer to her foe he felt even more awful for the young psychic type as it had done nothing to deserve this, sure it made a mistake but this kind of brutally was overkill. 

 As she was mere inches from her target she began to strike. Marchbaby closed his eyes as he could not bare to watch Abra be brutalized by the evil spirit. He did remember her pet though and he knew from now on he could use it as leverage.

Ooc: Atropos is sent out and uses Shadow Sneak. Being a priority move she will move first.

[Lamont]

The entirety of Abra's body shivered violently, its blood going cold at the bloodthirsty words. It had no words for this brutal beast towering before it, just muttered squeaks escaping its lips as it stared up at Bonecrusher. Frozen in fear, the young psychic was having difficulty focusing on anything but the terrifying figure it'd just bumped into. So distracted were its panicked thoughts it paid no attention to the much smaller figure of the ghost sneaking up from behind. With one fell swoop Atropos struck forward, cutting across Abra's back as the being was completely unaware. With a brutal cry the horrified wild pokémon crumpled to the side; unconscious. No doubt the lairon would be a bit disappointed.

Marchbaby opened his eyes once he knew the carnage was over. He would make sure to use Atropos's pet against her if she flew off the handle like that again but if nothing else the battle did give her some useful experience and bring her a tiny bit closer to evolving. It was far from an ideal situation but given her wild nature and Abra's ability to teleport away he did not have many other choices to get anything useful out of the encounter. He still felt horrible that Abra had to face her wrath though she had made it quick as the psychic type fell unconscious right after getting hit.

Bonecrusher was a bit disappointed that he did not have a chance to battle it but he understood why Atropos had jumped out so it could not get away and he knew other Pokemon would surely come their way as these loud battles would keep attracting other Pokemon to them until he got lucky and found something he stood a chance against. Marchbaby felt bad for him as he knew how badly Bonecrusher wanted to test out his new found power as soon as he could. He looked at the young steel type as he spoke trying to encourage him. 

" We are bound to find something you can battle soon and hopefully none of the others decides to steal the battle from you next time. I want to see what you can do now that you have evolved. I know you are stronger than you were but I am curious to see just how much stronger you are." As he finished speaking they could hear more sounds off in the distance and Bonecrusher took up position just in case it was something that he could handle on his own. As he did Marchbaby made sure everyone was ready as the sound got closer.

" Everyone be ready for whatever makes their way here, if it is something Bonecrusher can handle he has priority however I want Kamikaze and Atropos on standby just in case. We have not been to this area in a while and I am not sure what to expect next given the varied kinds of Pokemon we have met so far. My only hope is that whatever it is I truly do hope Bonecrusher will be able to handle it. He has worked so hard to reach this point and I want to see how much it has paid off." He said as they waited to see what would pop out next.

The bushes rustled. Jiggling this way and that in a slowly increasing shake. But what popped out wasn't a pokémon as they were expecting. From the bushes came a humanoid figure that, once the bushes had fully cleared as the individual jumped out in a triumphant pose, looked to be just like Marchbaby! Though, notably the expression looked a little flat and the eyes were a bit beady. The figure hummed proudly, pointing toward the group and making gestures suspiciously just like March had been doing previously to direct his pokémon in battle.

Oddly this person hadn't said anything yet, merely miming things. Unfortunately when they didn't get the reaction they were hoping for their arms crossed and they huffed in annoyance. Finally they spoke. "Ditto!" The cry was rather shrill for a man like March, but with that simple word it was likely obvious that this wasn't a person at all.

In another hmph the wild pokémon's form lit up and shrunk down in a flash, revealing the gooey pinkish form of Ditto. The smal malleable creature raised an arm and waved to the group.

Marchbaby rubbed his eyes at the sight of a doppelgänger appearing before his eyes. The stranger looked just like him minus a few flaws but even then it could have passed as his double at least in poorly lit areas. Trough the appearance was a true shock it was when the stranger spoke just a single word that he realized they had ran into a Ditto. Once it transformed into it's normal form the pink blob sure looked like an inviting target for Bonecrusher as Ditto only became powerful after they transformed and until then they were rather helpless against any attack they received. 

" Whoa this is really trippy, I was not expecting a Ditto to grace us with it's presence but a chance to battle one will be great practice for Bonecrusher. They can be dangerous once they transform as they gain all the attributes of the one they copied but until then they are pretty helpless and we shall take advantage of that while we still can." As he finished speaking Bonecrusher stepped forward scraping his legs on the ground ready to charge at the small pink Pokemon without hesitation as it was in his blood to charge recklessly into battle and it was such an inviting target in it's current form.

As he got ready to charge Marchbaby intervened for just a moment as he wanted to make Bonecrusher aware of just how dangerous Ditto could be once they did transform. " For now it is not very tough at all but once it transforms be ready for anything. Ditto are crafty Pokemon and their transform attack can easily catch you off guard as they will copy everything you can do so watch your back. In this first round you will have the advantage but that will quickly disappear." As he finished speaking he just needed to decide which move to try first. It was hardly a tough decision as Bonecrusher liked to use his head and there was no reason not to do so this time around.

" OK Bonecrusher before it gets a chance to Transform I want you to use Iron Head. Give it everything you have so that once it transforms you can rely on having more health in the next round to win by brute force if it comes to it." With his orders received Bonecrusher rushed towards his foe lowering his head to brace for the impact.

The ditto wriggled with an uncomfortable shiver. Oh no. This trainer already seemed to be very knowledgeable about all of Ditto's tricks! Well, it's one trick! With a little squeal it dove back into the tallest grasses to try and give itself some cover, apparently somewhat ignorant of its lack of camouflage, and focused hard on Lairon's features. It was an odd one it was. Somehow... shinier, than Ditto was used to. And angrier too, but still it had to take in every detail so it could perform.

Bonecrusher wasn't going to have any of it. With a steaming puff he shook the ground beneath him, digging his weighty paws into the ground and tearing forward. Blades of green and clumps of dirt flung back in his wake as he tore into the wilder parts of the route after the poorly hidden Ditto. The purple blob held its ground, desperately trying to retain the image of Bonecrusher's form in its mind in order to transform before the behemoth could get to it... but it was for naught. The steel pokémon barreled into the overconfident wild pokémon and bashed it with its gleaming head plate. Needless to say ditto was only seeing stars after that.

After easily defeating the Ditto without breaking a sweat Bonecrusher was pretty anxious to battle more as his new body gave him more energy than when he was an Aron. Though he was still not as powerful as he could potentially become he was quite a strong Pokemon now. All of Marchbaby's Pokemon except for Atropos and Honeysuckle had evolved at least once now and as Honeysuckle could not evolve only poor Atropos had yet to experience the thrill of doing so and she was quite a ways off.

It did not bother her too much as her love of torture allowed her to have plenty of fun in her current form but she still planned on evolving on day. " I am a late bloomer but all the waiting will be worth it when I evolve, once I reach my true potential I will be able to have even more fun than I currently do. My small stature and frail body betray me at the moment but that shall not last forever." As she talked to herself Marchbaby was more worried about what else might jump out at him.

Given the insane selection of Pokemon who had already challenged him to a battle Goldenrod City was becoming a goldmine but there were still Pokemon that could give some of his team troubles. With that in mind he wanted to keep training the weaker members of his team so they could help out if all else failed so that they could help in a battle and Atropos needed the most work of all. Alpha was lower leveled than her but even it had evolved which offset some of the level difference and it would be a long time before it would learn anything else decent anyways.

" Atropos I think so long as you can handle whatever comes up next that you should battle it. You are slowly getting closer to evolving and the sooner you do the better shape we will be in until we will not have to worry about anything on this route." As Atropos took notice of her name being called she yawned before speaking. Your speech bores me to death and I am already there. Bring on whatever it might be and I will take it down. I can never turn down a chance to torture some other soul who dares challenge my power." She said as she waited to see what would jump out next.

Encounter!

Someone had to help! Despite her banged up knees, battered costume and scraped elbows, Adelaide trekked through the underbrush of the route, breathing heavily as her two Pichu followed after her. She needed to get help, she was likely the Caravans last hope as Henry wasn't going to be able to hold them off forever. The Caravan had been taken by surprise, and her own beloved Pichu had nearly been caged up just as they had done with all their other Pokemon. But she had managed to evade their sight, and now she needed to get help.

She paused as she heard some commotion coming from just beyond the brush, and she spotted a man with a strong looking Larion. The only help that she had seen for the last half mile was standing right in front of her, and she couldn't pass it up. "Come along, mes amours, we must talk to him." she wasn't good at talking to people. Performing was one thing, getting personal was another. But she needed his help, so she had to be brave now.


With her two Pichu on her shoulders, she emerged from the underbrush, breathing heavily as she looked up at Marchbaby with a pleading expression behind panicked eyes. "Please, Monsieur, I am Adelaide from the Poke-Caravan show, and I require assistance..." It was easy to see whatever she was on about, she was quite serious about it. She even bowed, taking a sharp breath. "Please, this way!" She said as she launched herself back in the other direction.

The appearance of Adelaide came as quite a shock to Marchbaby as she did not seem like someone who would be hanging around a big city if she had the choice. Nonetheless after hearing that she needed help there was no way in good faith he could turn down her request. " Being from the Blackthorn clan and a dragon apprentice I cannot in good faith turn down your request for help." He said as he gathered his team. He was going to follow her no matter which of his Pokemon objected however only Atropos had any real objections.

" Why should we help this freak show? I know a clown when I see one and she fits the bill quite nicely." She said as she refused to budge an inch. It was not long however before Kamikaze extended her claws ready to force the evil specter to help that Atropos reluctantly agreed. " I really do not have a choice in the mater here do I? Whether or not I want to help out that foul demon of ice is going to force me to help. Fine but do not expect me to enjoy this one bit. I have no interest in helping the living." With her objection out of the way it was none other than Bonecrusher who took the lead with Kamikaze and Shocker right behind.

Honeysuckle stood next to Marchbaby just wondering what they would be getting into. She had not had much battle experience since she met Marchbaby but she was still pretty powerful in her own right. The most cautious of all was Alpha out of the remaining ones being the most analytical of the group. It did not want to think the lady was lying however the city was full of people who were less than trustworthy so it was cautious in its optimism. " I will come along but I must warn you to be careful. We have no idea what we will be getting ourselves into and I am not at peak strength to protect us if everything falls apart."

Having noted the wise Pokemon's words Marchbaby began to follow Adelaide. He was hoping she was being truthful in really needing help as he would gladly assist but if things went amiss he might be in some trouble. It is times like this he wished Draco was by his side.

Encounter!

Adelaide was glad when she glanced back and the man that she had flagged down for help was following her. So he'd help after all! she Silently thanked Ho-oh that she had managed to find someone that would be willing to help her without knowing what was going on. Surely, someone from any Clan in Blackthorn had to be good help! "We were...we were only stopped for a break. and suddenly, all these people came from the bushes...they had a Pokemon I've never seen before, perhaps it was from a different region but I...I didn't know what to do against it." Adelaide explained when they had stopped for a moment. It was only fair that he knew what he was in for before he got there. It was only fair he prepare for what he may see.

Giggling caused Adelaide to cut whatever she was about to say, and the bushes rustled, giving way to two little girls, one with blonde hair, one a red head, both wearing faux eevee tails clipped to their skirts. They looked young, maybe no more than ten years old, but wicked nonetheless. "Look what we've got here, Annalise," the blonde giggled as the two girls circled the adults. "I see, mommy said they had a runaway, Ariella." One of them stopped just before Marchbaby, observing him. "And she brought help, did she?" they both giggled in unison, a little bit creepy, if one were to stop and think about it.


"Mommy said that we need to stop anyone coming through while the rest of the Eevee gang finishes collecting all the Pokemon from the Caravan..." Annalise said, looking to Ariella. Ariella nodded. "So, We're afraid this will be as far as you go." The both removed Pokeballs from their sweaters, and from two bursts of light, Twin Eevee emerged. Adelaide looked at Marchbaby, she seemed Paralyzed. But after a moment, she swallowed hard, regaining her wits. "N-No, I have to be brave...I...I'll help you fight!" She assured Marchbaby, before throwing out a Pokeball to reveal a Pikachu, who cried out in defense.

Hearing Adelaide talk about a Pokemon she had never seen before was a biti unnerving to him as he had not exactly gathered decent supplies for a battle against anything too powerful but he was not going to back down now. The nature of the unknown group seemed to like to resort to ambush tactics which were uncommon but not unheard of. For now though he was going to do his best to get ot the bottom of everything and hope he would not get himself in too deeply in trouble. As the bushes nearby began to rattle and the two young girls appeared he got ready for for a fight just in case.

It was not long before the girls made their intentions known and that the only way past them was to defeat them in battle which he had no problems with as they were clearly participants in the kidnappings and he would not show them any mercy. " I have no idea what you all are planning but I am going to find out. As a dragon apprentice of the Blackthorn clan I will not allow you to kidnap any other Pokemon here nor will I allow you to keep the ones you have captured." As he popped his neck and knuckles Honeysuckle stepped forward with her fists raised ready for a fight.

" Adelaide do not worry we will not fail. Between your Pikachu and Honeysuckle here we shall show these two what happens to thieves. This whole situation is sickening to me but when we are done here I can assure you that they will never show their faces in this town again whoever they are." Honeysuckle already knew she would have to do a lot of the work at first as a Pikachu would not likely be of much use at first but she did not mind. It meant she would finally have a chance to test out her Brick Break attack on something that would take super effective damage.

" We might need Bonecrusher for later so for now I am relying on your strength to pull us through. Do whatever it takes but make sure you bring down the Eevee on the right with a Brick Break attack. The sooner we can make this a two on one battle the more relaxed we can be." He said as Honeysuckle began to make her move.

"Ohhh Blackthorn..." Annalise murmured. "Rather impressive, but Mommy isn't scared by a buncha' dragons." She taunted, Ariella laughing along with her. They weren't exactly the best trainers out there, they knew that. But they did know that they needed to be a distraction, and that was all. Ariella nodded at her sister's words. "Besides, look at your battle partner, shaking in her boots!" she taunted.

They weren't wrong, Adelaide was cowering at Marchbaby's side despite trying to put on a brave front, and she shivered. "I'm s-sorry, sir...I do not like violence and rarely battle because of this so...to face someone like we are I...I...Pikachu, Thunder Wave!" She called out as her Pichu climbed encouragingly onto either of her shoulders, prompting her to order the attack. The Pikachu nervously lit up, nearly but not missing its mark and a bolt of electricity volted into the eevee's system, causing it to spark at its limbs.

The Pikachu looked back at Adelaide, who looked at Marchbaby. "I uh...w-will that do? You have such confidence in the two of us and I don't...want to be as big of a disappointment as I feel I may be.." She turned just as Honeysuckle slammed into Ariella's Eevee with a swift knock out that caused Ariella to sigh. "Oh, my poor poor baby, we'll have mommy heal you later." she mentioned as she pulled it back into it's Pokeball. "Your turn, Annalise~" she said cheerily. "Eevee, use Charm on that big bad bug!" the Eevee did something that quickly caused Honeysuckle to drop her offensive a bit. "So what will you do now, Mr. Dragon clan?"

It was quite evident that his partner Adelaide was not a huge fan of battles but even with his partner serving as a handicap he still had gained the upper hand over the creepy sisters. He had no idea what the true nature of this battle was but it seemed as though there were just a diversion as the first Eevee went down way too easily and even with Honeysuckle losing a huge chunk of her attack she still had an advantage over the other one. The paralysis inflicted by Adelaide's Pikachu worked in his favor as well since it would both slow Eevee down and reduce the chances of it being able to fight back.

" Don't worry about us, it is you who should be thinking of what you will do once your Eevee falls in defeat. It may have weakened Honeysuckle but even with that setback she easily can overpower it very quickly. Adelaide played a wonderful roll just by paralyzing it and for that I am quite thankful." Adelaide honestly had no idea how much she had really helped with her choice of move but he was sure that by the end of this battle she would have a bit more confidence. It was something she clearly lacked and things like this would keep happening unless she learned how to fight.

" Adelaide hang in there we are doing well. Not everyone is a fan of battles but learning how to protect yourself in this world is a vital skill for survival. There is no need to take pleasure in fights but if you do not learn how to at least protect yourself I cannot guarantee someone will be able to help you next time. Does your Pikachu know any moves that can cause any kind of damage? It will be a huge help in this next round if it does." He asked as he continued to keep an eye out on the remaining Eevee hoping to catch it off guard.

" Honeysuckle is doing really well so far so I do not see a reason to switch her out yet. Try and use another Brick Break to cause some damage to the remaining Eevee. Even if you are not able to knock it out we can at least make it think twice about trying another Charm attack." Honeysuckle then prepared to strike again even if she was not feeling as mighty as she did the first time around. One way or another she would carry the slack for the team.
