Not long to go now. Was just putting up the advent calendar and realised how soon it is. Literally 5 more sleeps. What do people have planned for the holidays? Over in House Joe/Morri, we've got my brother staying over ours for a bit. Heading over to the parents for an Xmas feast and then some time to ourselves. Can't wait to get stuck in with all the presents.

Assuming there is no blizzard here which is always a threat this time of year we will be going to my grandparents and staying the day. I believe gingerbread pancakes are on the menu for breakfast but I do not know about dinner. If there is a blizzard we will stay home but the rest of the plan remains the same. I am off of work Christmas day and the two days after so either way I will be happy.

Wow! Gingerbread pancakes sound delicious! We'll probably end up having a Full English Breakfast, though I also just like bacon and a fried egg in a petite baguette~
I must admit, it is taking a little longer to get into the Christmas spirit this year. Not sure if it is because it's busy at work or what but I'll probably start feeling it on Saturday. I have the 25th and 26th off and other than my usual days off, am working the rest of the way through. Better than last year when I did all of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day and pretty much most day in between. It happens but that was a bit of a drag!
Aahh, I am looking forward to Xmas dinner at Joe's parents though! They are so lovely and his mum is an amazing cook! We'll be cooking our own stuff the next day but we can probably survive from the leftovers of hers for the following week, haha.

Well, I'm on break from college at the moment, so the days leading up to Christmas will be spent trying to finally finish Moon and sleeping in.
Going to my grandmother's house for Christmas Eve. She's getting too old to cook though, so we aren't doing much as far as I know. Just exchanging gifts and sitting around talking. My brother and his 8-months pregnant wife will be spending the night with my parents and I for the holidays, and I will be spending most of the Christmas break with my girlfriend just hanging out or watching movies. I've never really been much of one for huge Christmas events. I just like to get my stuff, eat a big dinner, and just spend a day hanging out with people.

Sounds like people are going to have a nice christmas This year I'm going with my boyfriend to his family, which are gathering a bit fewer people than usual, compared to earlier years. I think that is fine, some of them can be quite loud, hehe. The food is going to be good and the company nice and relaxing. I don't know how long we're going to stay, though I need to fiugre it out soon so I know what to do with my guinea pigs. I'm going to work to feed the animals there a single day as well. Christmas spirit has more or less been lacking with me this month, but my energy and mood has been low in general since I got fired, so I don't think that is so weird.

Everyone's next couple weeks sound great! My boss always leaves halfway through December and doesn't return till January so I am the entire office, which can get a bit stressful but I've set myself up to be able to work from anywhere so I always drive down to see my parents and extended families for a week.
This year'll be mum's family on the 24th for supper, then the 25th'll be morning time with my dad & step-mom before scooting off to a different city for an afternoon get-together with my hubby's family; though his dad's back in the hospital for a hernia so hopefully he gets out for Christmas. Later that day driving back to catch the end of my step-mom's family supper. The 26th or 27th is when we go visit my dad's side of the family where its a bit of a potluck but everyone always brings the same stuff. It gets real packed in my grandpa's little farm house though @.@ Can't move around without nearly stepping on kids.
No special Xmas breakfasts. Gingerbread pancakes sound amazing though! Hope everyone has a great time and best wishes for a better 2017.

Wishing everyone on ZZ and their families a very Merry Christmas! I hope you all have an excellent day and next few days as we head into 2017! Hopefully next year will be a little better than this one~
Enjoy yourselves, wherever you may be or whatever you have for today.
At this present moment, everyone in the house is asleep still, haha. I'll give them another hour and perhaps start making breakfast, that'll most likely wake them up!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope everyone has a relaxing day, and you get to spend it in a leisurely fashion! We got up and opened out gifts from each other and ate brunch and it's just a day of relaxation by the fire over here!
