Violet wasn't half bad. It wasn't the grand hustle bustle of Goldenrod but it wasn't some backwater hick town that was known for its flowers if anything at all. Lenore found the familiar grind and cramped towers of the city to be a nice reprieve from all this traveling through the wilds business. While Marly enjoyed the outdoors from time to time her recent experience in the outskirts of Cherrygrove were nothing short of disheartening. She still dreamed of a better brighter forest packed full of those gorgeous black coats, only to wake and remember the true events that unfolded. But, it turned out her holiday in Violet would heal all wounds of having lost those houndour.
There had been a festival around town. Who could resist taking a peak through a festival? It was full of all sorts of odd things from an exotic island. It was here that all memory of the hellhound pups was washed away as her eyes settled on two stunning creatures. One she won as part of a pageant she couldn't say no to, and the other was couped up in some dark shop that used a most bizarre currency that she already couldn't remember what it was. The black scales and sleek posture of the alien pokémon were mesmerizing. Lenore immediately set to making room in her coat for the new additions.
It was on her way back from the festival that she found herself passing through a part of town she hadn't yet explored, and her gaze fell upon another quite odd thing for the day: a swaying tower. It wasn't built like the rest of the growing city. This was a much older structure, carved of well fitted wood and styled like a pagoda of ancient times. Her curiosity was peaked.
Walking across the treated bridge resting over the small lake which surrounded the tower like a decorative moat, Lenore pressed against the large doors to enter the building. It was definitely a sight to see. Loud cracks of whips snapped her to attention before she could even begin to enjoy the woody make of this Sprout Tower. Her eyes landed on a familiar little fire pokémon being ganged up on by the ugliest root pokémon she'd even seen under the control of what looked to be some monks.
This wouldn't stand! "Have you NO decency!?" she screamed, trampling across the entryway to the central chamber on the ground floor. Her hand delved into her coat and snatched up a pokéball, throwing it strongly toward the others. The ball slapped into the floor and burst open to reveal a colorfully dressed spearow. The costumed bird fanned its wings and called its stage name, crossing one of its wings across its front as if covering with a dramatic cape. Its sharp eyes glared from under the zapdos-like headpiece, making it appear even more serious albeit a bit goofy.
"Break it up with a peck on the left sprout there Za-pearow!"
