Keiju took a deep breath. Today, he would officially begin his life as a Pokémon trainer. His mission would be to protect and or take in any strange, neglected, lonely, or any other undesired circumstances that Pokémon were in. He would get his first Pokémon today or technically his second and also take on a quest from the professor to fill the pokedex which sounded like a fun mission to fulfill to him. His technical starter Pokémon would be a luvdisc. When visiting a lake, the teen trainer had been walking its shores when he noticed a pink object washed up. He frowned and approached it, soon realizing that it was not an object but a Luvdisc Pokémon. Keiju gasped and instantly ran to it and lifted it upon realization. It was sad to him that this would happen to such an innocent Pokémon. He soon nursed it back to health and it became his own Pokémon. Now he focused back on the task at hand. Keiju stepped up to the door, raising his left hand which was his dominant hand, and knocked at a medium volume not wanting to be rude but also wanting to alter to professor.
Professor Elm had just finished reading a fantastic article about Pokemon eggs when he heard a knock at his door. There had been a influx for new trainers coming for either their starter Pokemon or a Pokedex and a few for both. Professor Elm would take all the help he could get and as he opened the door and saw Keiju standing there. " Hello, I am Professor Elm, I primarily study Pokemon eggs but recently I have been studying the Pokedex as well. Please do come in as I am sure you are here for your starter Pokemon and a Pokedex." As Keiju entered the lab Professor Elm walked over to a table with 3 Pokeballs sitting next to one another.
" Fell free to get to know each Pokemon. Once you have made your selection I will register your choice in this Pokedex. As you reach certain milestones I will give you a reward but for now I will just cover the basics." As Keiju selected Charmander the Professor scanned it into his Pokedex. " I can add any other Pokemon you have on you as well." With that the Professor handed Keiju the Pokedex along with the Pokeball for his starter Pokemon before getting to a few rules about the Pokedex.

" One final thing to note before you go. My research primally involves the need for individual data on Pokemon and as such I need you to personally catch most of the Pokemon yourself. My data does allow for some sharing however and as such you may share data with your friends for up to 30 Pokemon and still be rewarded. I do advise using this shared pool carefully as there is no take back on the Pokemon you choose to used shared data on and you may find out later on that saving this option for really rare Pokemon might be a better idea then trying to rush to use them."
" Keeping that in mind you should be all set. I wish you the bet of luck and feel free to show me any progress you make at any time."

As Keiju entered the lab Professor Elm walked over to a table with 3 Pokeballs sitting next to one another. "Y- ye- yes I'm Keiju. I already had my decision on my Pokémon before I came here. So I already know that I wanted a charmander." Keiju reached and grabbed the according pokeball for the lizard Pokémon. He gave a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of his neck. The shy teen listened as the professor spoke of the pokedex and registering new Pokémon. He understood the request and nodded as if in agreement. The quest would be a fun addition to his adventure and so he would enjoy completing it. He was about to turn and leave before the professor alerted him with one more hit of information before he was to go. He informed Keiju that he could have 30 free entries if he shared it from an associate, however it would not be wise unless that Pokémon was rare. Keiju nodded once more. "I understand. Thank you very much." He gave one more smile and turned, exiting the Pokémon research laboratory.
