"Don't get too cocky, mister," the bug catcher warned, "my team isn't gonna go down without one last Poisin Sti..."

The boy's command was quickly cut short by Balor, who shot a final blast of Ember through the spectral mist that covered the battle field and knocked the kakuna out. Balor simply turned toward the trainer and gave him a look that gave a rhetorical "you were saying?".

"Probably should have seen that coming," the boy said, "Still, that was truly a battle worth fighting for. Welp, better get these two to the Pokémon Center."

Before the bug catcher did such, he shook Bane's hand vigorously and left the prize money in it

"Good luck out there, My Masked Amigo, he said, "may our paths cross again one day."

And with that, the young trainer took his Pokémon and made his way to the Pokémon Center in town. As he walked away, he seemed to blur with the mist that was cast over this particular route.

Bane smirked as the Bug Catcher paused mid sentence.

"Sorry what was that? Was you going to use Poison Sting?" Bane then chuckled with a smile, and nodded when they said about the Pokemon Center.

"Yeah, heal them up good. A bit more training and you could go far." Bane shook the boy's hand and rolled his eyes a little but accepted it. Then to Bane's surprise the boy said a word Bane thought no one knew. You get surprises every day it seems.

"Heh. Adiós Amigo. Try not to catch any more people." With that Bane shook his head a bit with a smile.

"Some people man."

Mizu nodded as they spook, "Either way that was a good battle. Even if I did nothing." Balor turned and looked towards Mizu then.

"Hey I did quite well thank you. Besides. Be glad that I can heat up any grass types we meet." Mizu had to agree there, it was true. Water types wasn't that good against grass types. But oh well.

"Right come on you two lets keep going." Balor jumped back onto Bane then as Mizu started to walk or well run forwards. Bane followed behind him watching a Mizu looked a bit more like him. 'Heh. He may turn into me one day.'

Each hurried step down the route sloshed under their weight. Moreso Bane's than his mimic pattering just ahead. Hoody laces flapping in the wind, the sounds of life below the canopy line drew the attention of one of the wild pokémon of the route. It had taken a break from its musical chirping to just enjoy the nice sunny day; even if the ground was a swampy mess. Its gaze dropped to the bright red matching outfits and blinked. It had seen humans in matching outfits before, and even the more enthusiastic humans wear costumes to make them like their favorite pokémon, but a pokémon mimicking a human?

The bird's eyes squinted as the pair got closer and closer, squishing through the splotchy grass matted down by the flood of water recently. Chatot was one who particularly paid attention to these such things, being a parrot itself. It simply couldn't resist.

Spanning its own colorful feathers the bird dove down from the tree and landed on the driest spot it could find just ahead of Bane and Mizu. Tilting its head to the side it observed them for another couple seconds before finding the voice it wanted. Opening its beak it spoke, "Squirtle," in the typical squirtly voice one expects to hear from the tiny turtle pokémon.

Everything was good, mizu walking or well running along happy, balor resting on bane's shoulder and Bane walking behind mizu smiling behind his mask. Things could not go wrong.

That was, until a bird showed up and Mizu stopped. Balor tilted their head a bit looking a the bird. "What is that?" "No idea." "Hmmmm..." Mizu went  closer to the pokemon until he heard the Squirtle call of which he jumped back. 

"They! They! THEY IMITATED ME!" Mizu shouted out, as he stood strong now. "How dare you!! That is MY CALL!" Squirtle was going to hit the pokemon but Balor stopped him. "Easy Mizu. Orders first."

"Fine..." Mizu then looked to Bane. "Hm...all right Mizu you can fight him. Balor out the way." Balor nodded and got out the way. "Now Mizu, Water Gun!" Mizu nodded  as he got the water ready, he didn't like people imitating him. At all, not even Bane.

OOC: Could you swap skull for Bane's Dedenne and equip the EXP Share from Sarara onto them? Please?

The Chatot did not doubt a battle was about to begin as Skull nearly smacked it after its impressive imitation of the Squirtle. Feeling quite threatened by the water type the parrot did not let a second tick by before charging at Skull with its beak pointed straight out. Skull braced for impact the best he could as the Chatot pecked him right in the forehead causing a minor amount of damage. His pride was hurt more than anything by the attack and it was not long before he had an attack of his own ready to go. Just as Chatot stopped to rest a moment the young water type fired a cool Water Gun at the bird causing a moderate amount of damage. Though it did not come close to knocking it out Water Gun had proven to be the more dangerous move as the first round came to a close.

Chatot being the smart mouthed bird it was could not hold back its anger as it shook the water from its feathers. " Squawk, that was really rude. Squawk, I will show you, ruffians like you deserve no pity from such a talented actor such as myself." Though the bird was never going to admit it, the way this battle was going it would never be able to enact on its threats to teach Skull a lesson or even defend itself from the young turtles onslaught. It had to come up with a plan and soon if it hoped to turn things around as it got ready for the next round to begin. All Chatot could hope for was that its own temper did not come back to haunt it later on. The mud soaked ground was certainly not doing it any favors as it did not have any moves that could take advantage of mud and even worse was its poor choice of moves thanks to its low level. Luck would have to be on its side soon or else things were not going to end very well.

Bane and Balor watched as the bird and turtle fought. "Come on Mizu! Give him what four!" Mizu chuckled a little at that as he watched the bird as it shook it's feathers. "I plan to!" Bane nodded a bit as he evaluated the situation. There are multiple things he could do. 'Hm, lets see. He could do Water Gun again but from how his body is I think he wants to melee. So a tackle could work. Then again I could-...yeah lets do that.' With his mind set Bane looked down to Mizu. "Alright Mizu that was a good shot, now give em a water gun and a tackle!" Mizu nodded at that one. "Yes Sir!"

With that Mizu got water ready in his mouth while getting ready for his attack after that. "He looks very determined." "Indeed he does. Kinda looks like me don't he?" Balor then nodded. "He does. It's amazing how much he acts like you. It really fits him. I hope he keeps it." Bane then smiled a bit, "Yeah so do I. And maybe one day I will learn more about him." They both then refocused on the battle at hand. Bane looked towards the Chatot and wondered if it was worth catching or not. But then he remembered that Mizu wouldn't like that very much so decided not to.

Chatot was seething with anger as the next round began not even thinking about what the consequences of its anger might be. The parrot went off on another rant before attacking hoping that the rush from all the pent up anger would help it do more damage. " Squawk, you will pay for messing with me. Squawk prepare to face my wrath again you hoodlums." Chatot then rushed towards Mizu with nothing but havoc on its mind. As it opened its beak it pecked the young Squirtle with all of its might doing a small amount of damage but also opening itself up to another attack as the fog could not conceal its movements that close to the young water type. Mizu then fired a Water Gun straight at Chatot causing a little bit more damage than peck but neither Pokemon was ready to give up yet.

The next round started and Chatot was beyond enraged by now and it let Bane and his Pokemon know it. " Squawk, you swines will pay for this, squawk you have not seen my true strength yet. Squawk here I come to teach you a lesson once and for all." The parrot then ran towards Mizu again with another round of peck to try and bring the turtle down. Mizu was still too durable however and he was able to recover from the attack before relying on a Tackle this time to cause even more damage to Chatot. The bird was beginning to feel woozy as its energy was only about a third of what it started with and it was not easy to keep going at this pace. If it did not find a way to turn things around soon it knew this day was going to go from bad to worse.

The fog was not helping any and to make matters worse Chatot could be knocked out by a critical hit know if Mizu got lucky with its next attack. With that in mind the Parrot really had to hope for a bit of good luck in the next round.

Bane looked on as Mizu attacked again, it seemed Mizu was not letting up. Every second that went by Bane couldn't help but see himself. Mizu seemed really annoyed too, maybe too annoyed. This made Bane wonder a little so he spoke. "Mizu, are you alright?" Mizu made a small sound not even looking at Bane. "Just give me the next order!" Bane was taken back a bit on that, an order tone too. That really was like himself. "You really want to be me don't you?"



Mizu nodded keeping an eye on the bird foe infront of him. "I do. To be you is to be strong and to never be weak and useless ever again. To be you is to be the top of the top.To be you is to become a better Mizu." Bane stayed silent a bit as he thought a little before deciding about asking. "What makes you think in that way?" Mizu then sighed before his answer came. "You really want to know? Fine. You wasn't my very first trainer. I had another trainer. He chose me thinking I would be good...but I lost the first ever battle. My trainer wasn't impressed. He called me weak and useless and returned me to the lab. I remember them being angry and raising their voice and they called pathetic. He then got a different pokemon and left me in the lab."



Mizu then paused and sighed before he carried on. "Ever since I tried to be strong and powerful, no fear no hesitation. Thats is why I tackled you when you got me. To try and be strong. and you kept me. You are everything I want to be. So ONE DAY when I find that trainer that rid of me, cast me away. I can beat him and show him what he made by doing so." Bane was silent on that one, he had no idea. "Huh. No wonder you act the way you do. Alright. You want to be me? Then I will make you into me. You ready to begin?" Mizu nodded. "Then legs straight! Arms in battle read! Fists balled! LIKE SO!" Bane did his battle ready stance and Mizu copied. "Good. Now look at the bird. Look at their body. Watch how it moves." Mizu did as he was told, then he understood. "Now Tackle." With the command, Mizu did just that.

Chatot could hardly believe this battle had been ongoing for so long. Both it and Mizu were really tired from all the fighting but Chatot in particular really needed to catch a break this round if it had any real hopes of winning. "Squawk, you will never defeat me, squawk, you may be tough but in the end I shall prove to be stronger. Squawk, here I come again you ruffian, I hope you are ready for another beating." The parrot said as it ran towards Mizu shortly after he finished telling Bane about his rather tragic past. Mizu did try to brace for the impact of the birds beak but it was to no avail as the attack scored a decent hit on him.

As painful as the attack was for him Mizu was still in rather good shape considering the amount of hits he had taken and he was about to unleash some revenge of his own. He rushed towards the bird who was too exhausted to move and slammed into it scoring quite a powerful hit. Chatot was left in a very bad daze as everything started to spin around it as its health dropped to dangerously low levels from the tackle. Both Pokemon were now able to knock out the other with a critical hit and a bit of luck but as Chatot was a bit faster it would have the first chance to try its luck as it managed to climb back into a standing position.

" Squawk, that is it, no mercy will be shown in this next attack. Every little bit of energy I have left is going into my next strike. Squawk, prepare to learn your lesson once and for all. Squawk, you have messed with me long enough now." It said not realizing how much luck it would need to win the battle at this point.

Mizu breathed heavily as he listened to the bird go on. He watched it's body a bit and nodded. "You seeing it Mizu?" Bane asked him before Mizu looked to Bane. "Yeah. I do. Although I feel the same way..if we want to win I might need help." Bane nodded slowly before asking, "You know you are getting too low right?" Mizu then breathed a bit before answering, "Yes. I do. And I am not sure if I can take another hit and survive." With that Bane understood fine and knew for sure Mizu needed help. As such he went through his bag and found it. "Alright Bud come here." Bane stated as he knelt down.



Mizu came over carefully before Bane used a potion on him. Mizu smiled as he felt better and went forward again to get back to battle. "That's it. Back into the fight. Take what you can then finish it with Tackle!" Bane ordered as Mizu smirked a little. He then nodded as he got into that Bane pose again ready to take a hit or two and then follow up with his own attack. "Let me give you some advice bird brain. Learn to be quiet and then you may not get beaten. Now let me do you a favour and end this for you." Mizu said to the bird as he waited patiently. Mizu doubted he bird would stop but Mizu was trying some Bane words.



Bane chuckled with that and smiled. "Heh. Mind yourself Mizu the words of me will come later once you have the technique down. Got it?" Mizu nodded before he shouted, "Yes Sir!" Bane smiled more with that response as he spoke again. "Good. As for you Balor." Balor looked up form licking their paw. "Yes?" Bane then got their Pokeball out, "You may return and rest." With that Balor returned to his Pokeball and Bane put it away after. Bane knew he wouldn't need Balor for a while so he may as well let him rest in that time. It was only fair after all. Balor was not known for being good at waiting long lengths outside the pokeball doing nothing. Balor liked action, sometimes, too much. Other times Balor's love of fire got a bit hectic so Bane was not taking any chances. As for Mizu, he wanted to win this for him and Bane.

After healing his Squirtle with a Potion he had pulled out, Bane and Mizu would find the battle between them and the wild Chatot would not go on for very much longer. With full health, there was likely no way the Chatot would be able to fight its way out of this one, even with luck on its side.

The use of the Potion gave the Chatot a free opening to land an attack on Mizu, as it flew towards the Pokemon, preparing to land another Peck attack upon him. It squawked rather loudly as it grew close and pecked the Squirtle - right in its shell. The Chatot quickly flew back from the close range it had entered with the Squirtle, feeling the pain of pecking at the turtle Pokemon's shell on its beak. It was definitely not where the wild Pokemon had been aiming the Peck attack. It landed a good deal away from the trainer and his Pokemon, trying to keep a little bit of distance from them. It knew it was at a very low point of health already from the damage it had taken previously by the Squirtle, but the Chatot still maintained its cocky attitude towards the higher-leveled Water-type, and still felt it would win.

But luck would certainly appear to not be on the Chatot's side as Mizu landed a large Tackle attack upon the wild Pokemon while it was distracted by the pain of its own beak, tackling it onto the ground as it tried to fight back, squawking as it did so. But after taking another Tackle attack from the Squirtle, the Chatot had nothing left, and laid there on the ground. What little health the Chatot had left before taking the attack was now gone and it had finally been defeated by Bane and his Squirtle in the seemingly long battle.

The mist covering Route 30 slowly began to develop into rain as the battle finished. The rain then began to pour down hard, quickly going from the slight mist of rain to the downpour that followed. Close sounds of thunder and streaks of lightning could be seen and heard from the sky as the thunderstorm began. Puddles already began to form along the path and the grass that covered that path on the route. The sky was covered with dark clouds, bringing the sky to appear as if it was already night time in the area.

Mizu finally defeated the wild, cocky, and very talkative Chatot!
He gains two levels and grows to Level 11!
Mizu learned the move Withdraw!
