In a mere flash of light, Red's replacement appeared before Zubat. Not that the blinded bat was all that capable of identifying the new threat, of course. It hovered in place, trying to locate Sera as best it could. The Poison type was all but defeated mentally by this point, having suffered a little too much for its liking. Still, the beast could at least make an effort. As long as it drew breath, it'd do what it could to defy this human. Sonar finding something amongst the haze, Zubat dove toward the floor with its mouth wide open. Perhaps if it could sink its teeth into... whatever this was, it'd feel better. Breaking through the Smokescreen once more, Zubat chomped down on its target. This time, something soft. Fleshy. Sera's shriek of surprise confirmed that, finally, Zubat had managed to land a hit. It seemed like an age since the last one, after all. Still, with all the debuffs, this 'Bite' was little more than a light nibble in truth. Lenore's Petilil squirmed and struggled, trying to break free from her foe's grip. Though Zubat wasn't about to let this one success go so easily. It took its time to dislodge its fangs, that it did. Retreating back into the smoke, the winged creature couldn't help but feel rather proud of itself. Filled with a sense of pride, Zubat wasted little time at all and proceeded with its next move. Mouth agape once again, Zubat screeched as loudly and shrilly as its remaining energy would permit. The sound pierced through the cave alright, echoing throughout, but Sera looked rather unimpressed. The small plant-like critter appeared unfazed by the attack as she set about her first attack of the match. From the top of her head, Sera loosed blue-green spores toward the origin of the Supersonic cry. Buried in fog, Zubat barely noticed the powder as it rushed through the bat's nostrils. Within seconds, a 'thump' could be heard as Zubat crashed to the floor, snoozing. At least this would probably be the end of its suffering. Probably. Her excitement was barely containable. Heart pounding in her chest she barely heard the bat hit the rocky floor, any concern over the abuse she was putting the poor thing through gone from her mind. Anyone watching her versus the pitiful low tier pokémon would surely be a bit baffled for how she was dealing with it; even taking into consideration her plans to switch in a type weakness for the finale. It was just a zubat. They were everywhere. All the time. The level of giddiness the showgirl was exhibiting was frankly ridiculous. Lenore clapped with Sera's success. The sharp snaps ripping through the echoing cave halls even after she had ceased to dig for the long awaited luxury ball. "Excellent work Sera! Now you can just leave it to me." Noh rolled her eyes and puffed harder, scrunching up her face as she waited for all this nonsense to be finished. If it wasn't over soon she may just decide to turn the light off. "Alright bat, you're going to be all mine." The dancer flipped the ebony ball striped with high class gold and red. Looks like the time she wasted helping out that whiny kid in the forest was finally going to pay off. She pulled her arm back and loosed the device to the air, watching it poof into the smokescreen toward the snoozing bat. There was no way it was going to get away. Especially after all the work she put into its capture.

I see how it is... putting it to sleep so I can't even offer some kind of internal monologue from Zubat's perspective. Hmph. Fine.Head firmly in the land of nod, Zubat was perfectly unaware of the gorgeous ball zipping toward it and cracking against its slim form. Zapping up the Poison type, the ball dropped to the floor with a soft 'thud' that echoed across the relatively empty Dark Cave. Following that, the small sphere started to wobble ever so slowly, as was the norm. The sleeping incumbent couldn't really offer much of a resistance, though, so it took barely any time at all for the orb to come to a complete halt. The battle had been long, but the capture was quick and uneventful, it seemed.

The shriek of joy that escaped the skinny woman trilled along the darkened halls beyond their little bubble of light, back and forth it echoed along; no doubt disturbing all manner of creature in the cave system. But she didn't care. She had it! With haste she clicked forward in her metal lined heels and snatched up the sleek black ball, barely waiting for the smoke from Red's assistance to clear away. Two hands worth of fingers wrapped themselves around it as she raised it to eye level and grinned ear to ear. Oh she had plans for this baby, and it wasn't in the battling department. Lenore quickly double checked her suspicions. It had been so hazy during the fight it was hard to tell but... "YES!" she screeched once again, jumping on the spot and shrinking the ball. It was a girl. "You're going to be perfect hun. Now I can get on track for my Oscar." The newly captured pokémon disappeared in the blink of an eye as it was safely transferred to her PC. "Alright gals, I think we need to do a bit of switching up. Except you of course my shining star," she pandered to the puffed up fairy. Noh stuck her nose in the air and pretended that the comment wasn't good enough for her, but Lenore could see the faint hint of rosy cheeks. With a quiet laugh herself the dancer walked over to give Red a good rub and Sera a gentle pet. "You two did amazing." Knelt down she was more level with her fiery starter, allowing her to look the chermeleon right in the eye. "Thank you for bearing with me Red." She received a playful huff in reply. "Here, how 'bout we just take a quick snack break while I sort this out." With that all settled Lenore set to rearranging her party while ignoring all the bumps in the night surrounding them. Drips and drops of all tonal ranges played a soft serenade as the backdrop for her pondering. Mind whirring with all the options he had. And to think, when she first got here all she had was Tide as a gift from her parents. She hadn't even managed her way into Falkner's gym yet and was already a few boxes into her PC storage. If one thing could be said for Johto, it was an overly friendly place. Something she'd forgotten in the spangles of showbiz and cramped high towers. "There we go!" she signaled the completion of her task. Pokéballs switching out from the computer system she called out the two new teammates on this venture. With just a tiny squeal the woman leaned forward and gave her eevee a close and personal greeting; rubbing her fingers through the thick soft fur and picking up the smaller beast to place right in front of herself. "You my dear get this." Lenore withdrew a festive winter candy and unwrapped it. The swirling red and white with that sweet candy smell made Aria's mouth water and tail wag happily. "Enjoy."Her attention then went to the floating abra, busy fussing over how uneven and uncomfortable the rocky floor had been to sit on. Lenore giggled, "And you friend, you are only here for a quick visit so don't worry. Soon you'll be back cozy and comfortable. But first!" She paused to stand up, taking a second to brush off the dirt clinging to her stockings from being on the ground. "I am going to take a moment to do what I promised I'd help the professor with. Might as well while I'm in here anyway. Doubt too many of his helpers dare to come in this deep dank creepy place." She shrugged, then smiled down to the psychic type. Zatanna was unimpressed, but was fine with sticking around for now. "Mmkay gang, let's see what sort of trouble we can find."

After Lenore finished passing out the treats and set out to keep her promise to the professor she did not realize just how far the scent of the candy cane would travel throughout the cave. The alluring scent of the candy caught the attention of one of the Pokemon as it made it's way towards the source in hopes of scoring a nice little treat. The darkness of the cave helped conceal it's movements for the longest of time as the scent grew closer and the scents of Pokemon not native to the cave caused the curious Pokemon to grow rather excited. As alluring as the candy canes scent was the possibility of encountering a strange Pokemon was even more alluring. As it approached Lenore a Zubat came flying towards it slamming into it causing it to bump into a wall and give away it's position. The Bronzor was not hurt by the impact and the mystery of how it could smell anything or how it would even eat a Candy Cane had yet to be solved but what was certain was that the steel type Pokemon was not going to leave until it got a treat of it's own. Once it realized the sweet smelling treat had already been consumed however it grew rather upset as it was really looking forward to something besides rocks and mud for a change. Even so it had never seen so many strange Pokemon at once in the cave and was not going to let the entire encounter go to waste. It approached Lenore with it's yellow eyes focusing on her waiting for her to make a sudden move while trying to make it's intent on battling her clear. As it stopped a few feet in front of her it landed on the ground and started to spin in a desperate attempt to get the message across. Hoping the desperate act worked it stopped after creating a small hole in the ground and looked at her once more waiting for a response. A wild Bronzor level 15 challenges you to a battle. A resounding bong radiated throughout the cave, bouncing off the walls before disappearing into the dark abyss. The origin seemed to be pretty close to where Lenore and her party were standing, with a thump heard just after. As all eyes spun around to try and find the source of the disturbance Lenore's group would see a zubat crumpled to the ground with proverbial stars flying over its head. But that wasn't the only thing hovering above the unfortunate bat. The showgirl gasped as her gaze fell upon the navy steel surface of the wild pokémon. A laugh tickled her throat as she put together what had happened in her head, tongue clicking as she awe'd with pity toward the poor zubat. "Poor thing probably has no idea what it just bonked into eh girls?" Red was snickering uncontrollably behind her trainer even as the wild bronzor made its approach. No one moved to intercept as Bronzor didn't seem immediately hostile or aggressive. However, once it had slammed down with a grunt as if it was pawing at the ground in anticipation Bronzor's intent was hard to miss. Lenore watched the steel type's actions with a faint smile, all the while deciding just who she could end out to face off against this formidable foe. Sadly Aria was unlikely to have any effect against that hard bod, though she didn't seem to think so. The eevee stepped up to the bronzor and took a pouncing position, bushy tail in the air as she readied. After eating the candy cane she felt stronger than before and this pokémon could be just what she needed to test out her new strength. But before she could do anything Lenore piped up. "Sorry babe but this one isn't for you." The fox-like pokémon's ears twitched before she turned her head back with a bit of confused disappointment. Lenore smiled back and waved for Aria to return to her side, then dropped her eyes onto Noh. "I think it's your time to shine Noh. Go show that thing what stars are made of," she pandered, giving a point to the bronzor in the process. Noh pretended to consider this for a moment then skipped into position for battle. "Alright Noh, start of with something dazzling. Flash!" The jigglypuff swished her head to bob her curl of hair out of her eyes before giving a cute puff of acknowledgment.

As the young Eevee stepped forward the Bronzor was thrilled to see its attempts to start a battle were not in vein. It had never seen anything like it before and was excited to face the young fox when Lenore quickly swapped out her Pokemon for the safety of Aria. This upset the steel type Pokemon as it was looking forward to facing the fox and it would not let its feelings go unnoticed as a purple hue surrounded its entire body lighting up a small part of the cave for a few seconds before the hue started to travel towards Noh in a beam like fashion. It was so pretty Noh did not even realize it was a damaging attack until the beam scored a direct hit sending her flying backwards stopping inches from one of the many cave walls. Now that she knew this battle was serious she would not hold anything back. Before she could make a move however the young steel type had already figured out what it was going to do next as its yellow eyes turned light blue as it looked into Noh's eyes trying to hypnotize the young Jigglypuff before she could even get off a move but she was able to fight against the slumber inducing move through pure willpower as her own eyes turned a pure white. A few seconds later a bright flash filled the cave as Bronzor floated around aimlessly unable to see a thing as the blinding light nearly destroyed its retinas. As it slowly began to recover from the attack its vision was still somewhat blurry but there was not mistaking the smile on Noh's face having succeeded in using a sneaky attack of her own. Even without doing any physical harm the psychological and visual harm from the attack had already began to take its toll as Bronzor started to quiver in fear of the fluffy pink Pokemon. As awfully as things had gone for Bronzor so far it could still outpace the puffball and it had to find a way to take advantage of that before it lost any more vision from another sneaky attack. The metallic beast just had to hope its luck would improve as the next round was imminent. The psychic attack wasn't well received by the pink puffball, but it paled in comparison to the annoyance she felt toward the steel disk when it kept making longing looks toward the cute fluffy eevee sitting nicely by Lenore's feet. Noh's cheeks puffed out, eyes narrowing at the slight. She was Bronzor's opponent, and there was no one else more deserving of its attention than herself. Besides, what was so good about that fox anyway? The rotund fairy growled at the wild pokémon, making for quite the amusing scene from such a cutesy air-filled being. It was like if someone drew an angry face on a balloon that was slowly letting out air. Well, Noh wasn't going to let this bronzor continue to insult her like that. She was in the limelight now and she was going to show her trainer why she should be the star more often. Lenore herself was pleased with how the first part of the battle ensued. Unfortunate that Aria's eagerness had cost Noh, but the jigglypuff weathered it quite well; which was what she was hoping for. If there was one thing the dancer could count on with Noh it was a wealth of stamina. "Good work babe, now it's time to start laying on those fine fists." The showgirl accompanied her instructions with a brief clap of her hands before bringing them down to rest on her hips. It seemed their group was in for another long haul with this one, of which Red wasn't to pleased about. The charmeleon turned her head up to the trainer and grumbled, giving Lenore a perturbed really? look. The blond simply smirked in reply before turning her attention back to Noh's fight. Red sighed and slumped to the ground, laying out on her side with her head propped up with one of her hands while the other took to etching into the dusty floor. The fire type could easily dispatch with this foe so they could get onto whatever it was Lenore was here for. Red yawned, continuing to fuss quietly in her mind while the battle droned on.

Bronzor was still struggling to find its way around as the flash had really been a nasty surprise but being ever so slightly faster it hoped it could make up for the terrible first round. The steel type Pokemon fired a purple ray towards Noh trying to confuse the Jigglypuff however its aim was way off. It's blurry vision made it think a Zubat hanging from the ceiling was the correct target as the beam scored a direct hit on it. The bat became even more erratic than usual but it did not do Bronzor any good as Zubat had nothing to do with the current situation. In the blink of an eye Noh ran up and smacked Bronzor across the side with all her might nearly breaking her stubby hand like appendage in the process. After recovering from the shock of the attack Bronzor tried to fire another purple hue surrounded the Bronzor, like before sending it towards what it thought was the right target only for the poor Zubat to become the victim of a second accidental attack this battle. Zubat managed to fly off afterwards not wanting anything to do with the cross fire any longer but Noh was grateful the bat had absorbed both attacks there were meant for her as she ran forward again. As she smacked the steel type her hand like appendage became inflamed from striking such a hard object causing very little damage but still made quite a point nonetheless. As sore as her appendage was though Bronzor was still starting to wonder just how smart it was to drag this battle out much longer. With the next round looming Bronzor backed up a bit not wanting to get smacked by the young Jigglypuff again as it knew all too well how determined she was along with its own reduced vision. The increased distance between the two Pokemon may or may not make a difference but Bronzor could rest easy a moment until Lenore game her Pokemon another order. The first pound from Noh made Lenore cringe. The jigglypuff herself only quietly whimpered at the recoil, fist burning a little from the impact. The dancer knew that it wasn't going to be a very pleasant experience, punching steel, but the way the clang echoed through the chamber just made it so much worse. Lenore instinctively grabbed her own hand and rubbed the side of it as if it had been her own that smacked into the bronzor. "Nicely done hun, you're doing great!" she called. The second pound occurred, radiating through the area much like the first. The woman let out an uncomfortable half chuckle quietly to herself. Red snickered in kind. She paused her etching momentarily to wince and watch the fight. At least things otherwise were going well for the feisty puffball. The flash at the beginning had weighted the scales in Noh's favor. Her attacks may not be overly effective individually, but as long as Bronzor couldn't see her she could lay down a few of them and slowly chip away at the wild pokémon's reserves. Still, it was just as boring as the fight with Zubat so the charmeleon resumed scratching into the floor with her claw. Noh's fist ebbed in pain but she tried to ignored it. She didn't want to disappoint Lenore in any possible way. She was finally out and fighting for her trainer instead of standing back being a show piece, or being a stand in for another of Lenore's team. The jigglypuff let out one of her indignant puffs and narrowed her eyes at Bronzor. "You're wearing 'im down girl. Just keep at it!" Lenore wanted to keep positive about her plan; even if it wasn't the most efficient. That was part of the plan really, and she hoped Noh wouldn't figure it out. Just a few more pounds and Noh would probably be fed up with having her hands hurt. Though, the proud little jiggly wouldn't want to admit it and pull out. Then Lenore can suggest a switch and it'd feel like a relief. The showgirl grinned wryly underneath her smile, hiding it from view with a brush of her hand.

Bronzor had nothing short of awful luck in its last two attacks and even if its vision was still very poor the steel type did have one thing going for it in its typing. It had hardly taken any damage from the pound attacks but it still had to do damage soon before even such a weak attack overwhelmed it. Putting every ounce of energy it had to focus on the pink fluff ball Bronzor began to glow purple yet again as it powered up a Psywave. Once it built the attack up it fired it at the young Jigglypuff but unlike the last time this one was very well aimed. The attack struck Noh dead center sending her flying back this time actually hitting the cave wall pretty hard as she recovered from the attack. Noh was starting to really feel her energy drop but she still had plenty of energy left and she was going to give this next attack her best effort as she smacked the steel type across the face again once with her stubby arm like appendage. By now she wished she had brass knuckles as they would have undeniably been more useful than her flesh but either way the attack did do a small amount of damage. As she walked back towards Lenore Bronzor looked a bit more confident than in the last round as it had made the battle turn back in its favor after missing twice in a row. It was not as much of a upper hand as it would have liked but given the current situation it could have been far worse. With the next round just moments away Bronzor got ready to strike again, feeling like it had to keep up the momentum before Noh could find a way to blind it any further. This battle was not going to end for at least a few more rounds but Bronzor knew how one mistake could cost it the battle down the line. Bronzor could certainly take a pounding to say the least. Well, when that pounding wasn't dished out by an actual skilled fighter anyway. A thing Lenore certainly lacked on her team but her battle strategies, if one could call them that, didn't really involve paying attention to the typings that she stacked on her current party. It was all about their looks and a touch about effectiveness. Noh was a beauty even when trying not to recoil from slamming her cutesy little fists against a metal plate. Mostly due to the way she puffed up her cheeks and narrowed her eyes as she channeled any of her own pain into a fiery rage which was then used to dish out more punches. The jigglypuff just had that spark Lenore loved. Still, even though the fight was going even better than the dancer had hoped, it was a bit painful to watch. Every clang echoing through the darkened chamber of the aptly named cave caused her heart to sink but for a moment. Lenore's own hand often moving to rub the side of the other as her mind tried to imagine what the blow had felt like. Noh's own delicate pink stub was beginning to take on a more reddish color from the looks of it. Or that could have been a trick of the light; some shadow. But Lenore had a feeling it wasn't that. "You're going to have fists of iron after this," she chimed, face skewing into a devious smirk at the thought. A vision of the proud jigglypuff wearing knuckles entered her head and she couldn't help but chuckle to herself. "What'd you think Noh? It's certainly trouble enough, perhaps a trophy would be appropriate." The suggestion drew the fairy's attention away from her ebbing hand to first glance back at the trainer then to give Bronzor a considerate look. Noh puffed, swishing her head in a dramatic fashion as if to get hair out of her eyes. "S'what I thought," the showgirl half mumbled. The notion even got a snicker from Red. "Let's give those fists of yours a brief break hun. Dazzle 'im again."

Bronzor was all fired up to attack the Jigglypuff again as it started to build up its energy for another attack. As lucky as it had been in the last round there was no telling when its luck would shift back to the awful side again. As the psychic energy built up to the max Bronzor got ready to launch the Psywave again but its poor vision started to act up causing it to see double this time. It thought it was aiming at the right target as the purple energy flew towards a boulder nearby Noh that was similar to her in size. As the attack impacted the boulder and shattered it the steel type finally realized it had been aiming at the wrong target thanks to its vision being so messed up but little did it know that the vision problems it was having were about to get worse. Noh's eyes lit up in a bright yellow color as she looked at Bronzor waiting for the steel type to look right into her eyes. As soon as the steel type fell for the trap again the light increased to a blinding level as Bronzor flailed about unable to see anything at all for a short while. Even as its vision partially came back it had an even harder time seeing anything as Noh's eyes returned to their normal color. Bronzor's short run of good luck had officially came to a close as now it would be lucky to hit the broad side of a barn while standing right next to to. If there was anything good about this round for Bronzor it was that Noh's attack did not do any damage. As the next round loomed Bronzor was really getting worried now that its vision was beyond awful as it could not afford to give Noh free turns for very long. Unless it got lucky again really soon things were not going to end well and right now there was not much hope for things to get better. Noh would have to have a serious lapse in Judgement for Bronzor to have any real chance to turn this disaster around. Noh puffed her cheeks up triumphantly. Bronzor had gone cross eyed from the looks of it. "Perfect!" came Lenore's cheer from behind. Her excited voice bounced off the walls of the large chamber like an echoing chorus of fans. "Now let's get back to pounding that thing into pulp Noh."The jigglypuff's spunk dropped a little at the idea. Her hand's ebbing pain returned to attention and she nearly groaned. Noh half turned to glance back at Lenore and caught the trainer smiling expectantly back at her. The fairy type turned back around to face the half blind steel pokémon and sighed silently. There was no point in trying to fuss over it. Right now anyway. After this was all said and done she'd make sure she received a luxurious brushing in exchange for all this. For now she'd just have to follow orders. She took an extra moment to rub her pained hand as if that would soothe it. It felt a tiny bit better afterward, but Noh knew the moment her fist pounded down on that hardened body again it'd flare right back up. Noh steeled herself, figuratively, took a deep breath, and let out a toughened puff.

The poor blinded Bronzor was absolutely desperate to bring an end to this battle before things could get any worse. Its bad luck had gotten in the way many times in this battle and it knew if it did not knock Noh out soon the continuous Pound attacks were going to get lucky at one point or another and losing to a puffball like her would not be acceptable under any circumstances. The steel type Pokemon began building up its psychic powers to attack the young Jigglypuff again with every ounce of strength it could muster not even taking into consideration its lack of reliable vision at this point. It fired off the psychic energy at the first round thing it saw hoping it would be Noh. The attack scored a direct hit on a small round rock in the corner of the cavern sending it flying to the opposite end but doing absolutely nothing to Noh who nearly busted out laughing at the display. By the time Bronzor realized it had completely missed it was too late as Noh ran up and smacked it across the face again. At this point the pain from smacking the steel type was becoming more dangerous than Bronzor's attacks except for the luck hits it had scored. Noh's hand was getting really swollen from the constant poundings but she was very pleased with the fact that she did not take any damage again. Bronzor still had a decent amount of health but it was not going to be able to win if it did not find a way to overcome its terrible vision soon.
